Lost. Stolen. Forgotten… until the Alphabits step in.

A Team A.L.P.H.A. spinoff series.

Finn O’Toole is an omega in an alpha’s world. He’s done everything he can to make sure that doesn’t interrupt his ability to get his job done, and it never has. Until him.

Antonio Montoya is the notorious leader of the vigilante group STAHP, and stands for everything Finn despises. When the powerful alpha discovers that the Alphabits’ only omega is his mate? It doesn’t matter how far Finn runs… Antonio always gets what he’s after.

Thankfully, Antonio has information that the Alphabits need, and the perfect excuse to prove to his feisty, reluctant mate that even dangerous men can have good hearts. There’s still that little argument about eating the bad guys, though...
The Alphabits aren’t vigilantes. These former soldiers and officers of the law have to do things by the book—even when it tears them apart to do so. But once all their ducks are in a row, the bad guys had better beware! You do not want this team of protective alphas on your tail.

This is the seventh in the Alphabits series, and should be read in order for maximum enjoyment. You can expect to find naughty, knotty scenes of steamy passion, along with a lot of potty-mouth language and some violence. This book contains violent vigilantes, two extremely tactile cats, and one angsty teenager who has just settled into having one dad, but now she has to deal with two? HEA definitely included, intended for 18+ readers only. Seriously, would you expect anything less from Susi Hawke and Crista Crown?

I'm a total fan of M/PREG Paranormal Romances, first and foremost as a reader. I'm excited to share my own omegaverse(s) with you. What's not to love about adorable Omegas and the Alpha men who love them? If I'm not writing about men sporting baby bumps, I'm definitely reading about them!

I'm a native of Las Vegas, NV, so I'm pre-wired to love everything weird ~ although I don't find any kind of love to be weird. I'm a cis woman who's been happily married to the same lovable lug for 18 years. We have a 16yr old son, well, at least I think we do? Either that, or we have a ghost that eats all our food and uses up all wifi playing xbox while screaming into a headset.

As a new author, it's been amazing to find the amount of support that I've been given from readers and my fellow authors. Feel free to message me, I love to chat with fellow readers. Am I a reader? Heck yeah! In fact, I'm never certain that I can completely trust an author who isn't a fellow bibliophile.

I will try to update here when I'm doing promotional parties & chats. I usually do those on Facebook. If you haven't already signed up for my newsletter, you should totally do it! I only send out NL's to announce new releases or important announcements. I also like to note in my NL what I'm currently reading along with a cover shot and the link for anyone who is interested.

I look forward to interacting with everyone here!

The seventh book in Susi Hawke and Crista Crown’s Alphabits series, we see Finn and Antonio get their happily ever after in Fraught. You’re not going to find two characters as opposite as these two, and watching Antonio try to woo Finn is very amusing.

After some initial friction, and a few slip-ups, Antonio figures he’d better toe the line if he wants to keep Finn, and I enjoyed watching them form a family.

Fraught begins with an exciting prologue which advances the continuing plot of the series. I recommend reading (or listening) to these books in order.

Kirt Graves is a new narrator for the Alphabits series and I like what he brings to the experience. Huge points for his sultry latin accents!

an audiobook copy of Fraught was provided to me for the purpose of my honest review

I rounded up on this one. I just didn't feel any of the anticipation or conflict between characters, and felt like the story was just two guys who were together, living life.

It took a day for Finn to give in to Antonio, then after minutes, they were mating. And that was at the start. I enjoyed them working together on the same team, however, that was just a small part of this overall story.

I also wasn't sure where the prologue fit in to this specific couple's story. It seemed like it was introducing the characters to set up the next book, but in the prologue.

I like the idea of different types of shifters in a single story and the fact that both MC's came from completely different lives and backgrounds.

It was a cute story, just probably not one I'd relisten to.

I really enjoyed the first 6 books in the series but this was just...not enjoyable?

Finn claimed to have all these issues with Antonio but literally gave in to EVERYTHING the guy wanted or believed and had no backbone. I don’t appreciate characters who take a strong stance in their beliefs inside their heads but then don’t actually stand up for those ideals or opinions. Really frustrating. What should have been an enemies to lovers romance had very little disagreements/resistance.

There was a lack of team moments. The book lacked any real emotion. Very disappointed.

Examples of Finn being a sucky independent omega:
- Finn finds the whole “eating ;)” thing awful and disgusting yet Antonio just shrugs it off and Finn let’s it go
- Finn doesn’t want to mate Antonio based on morals but he ends up giving in after like 2 seconds. He still could have shown some resistance after the mating bite
- Finn wants a nice but modest home for his family and Antonio wants to live in a heavily guarded massive mansion and guess who wins
- more...

A good story, but it took me a while to warm up to MC Antonio. And the relationship went from rejection to acceptance really quickly on MC Finn's part. The book needed to move on, but it was a very quick flip...

Narrated by Kirt Graves - excellent.

I would suggest reading/listening to at least some of the previous books in the series, which is one of my favorites, btw.

I'd been dying to learn more about Antonio, the enigmatic STAHP leader, ever since he made his first apparition in the series and I wasn't disappointed. He's just the kind of antihero I love, with his own set of values and justice, but still vulnerable and while willing to do whatever he needs to get things done, similarly willing to bend to his mate's desires. I wasn't too sure about Finn at first, mostly because he was being difficult and put up a fight to get with Antonio, LOL, but it made for an entertaining/different kind of a start for their love story. They had tons of chemistry and it was a delight to see Antonio be so romantic and dashing with his mate.

I also loved the side story with Cy's brother, especially since it will tie in with the first book in the new spin-off series about the Novak brothers, which I'm already looking forward to.

We had a narrator change in this last book, but it was hardly noticeable, and Kirt Graves did an outstanding job with all the characters. I will admit that with Spanish being my first language, I'm a bit difficult with Spanish accents used by American narrators, but Kirt did a fantastic job with Antonio's rumbling, sexy voice. Yummm!!! This is definitely an audiobook you don't want to miss out on!

This was a cute and interesting couple. It was nice to see this side of Antonio and this book really made Finn a more likeable character. See Finn was done dirty just like Cyrus in previous books and I’m happy to see him bloom in his own book, but it kind of felt a little off brand to the guy I was picturing in previous books.

I am so sad this is the last Alphabits book. I really hope we get a new series about the STAHP members.
Finn is the only Omega in the Alphabits team, and as such, he's used to bring out all his strength to succeed in an Alphas' word. That's why when he meets his mate, Antonio Montoya, leader of STAPH, the vigilante organization, he runs as fast as he can not to succomb to his fate.
I loved this latest book, and Kirt Graves narration is a great way to appreciate this story!

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the connection between Finn and Antonio and I loved that Finn stood his ground especially with how STAHP usually deals with the shifters they go after. I loved how much Antonio doted on Finn and basically accepted Jodie as his daughter from the moment he heard about her. Finn and Antonio had a lot to sort out and I don’t blame Finn for running away from Antonio as they seem to be on completely opposite sides of the law at first glance but really they want to same goal they just have different ways of dealing with the bad guys. I also loved how Antonio isn’t ashamed on what he’s done in the name of shifter justice. Man, the scene of when Finn was getting a cesarian for his triplets was hilarious when after their first baby was born and he was handed to him he wasn’t happy since it was all him as he was born with ginger hair and he wanted their first baby to be Antonio’s, he was happy that the next baby had dark hair like Antonio but when they tried to hand him their baby girl he didn’t think she was theirs because she was bald and her brothers both have hair. It was even funnier that he named their babies after the ducktales all because he was on the good dr*gs since giving birth. I loved how against the mansion that Antonio had chosen for them to maybe buy since it was very secure and had barbed wire fenced but he completely changed his tune when he saw that it featured a dream two storey library. I’m really looking forward to reading River and Vasily’s book as it should be a fun but no doubt violent read since they’re both pretty bada*se especially River. It’s so cute that Vasily’s son Petey already loves River and calls him pretty Kitty since he helped rescue Petey and kept the violence away from him by shifting and letting Petey pet him. I’d definitely recommend this book, series and both authors to everyone.

🌟🌟🌟🌟 4.5 stars
🔥🔥🔥 Heat Level: 3.5
🎧🎧🎧🎧 Narration: 4.5

A wonderful end for Team Alphabits and interesting enemies to lovers mpreg story.

I loved Finn throughout the whole series and was interested to see who he’d be paired with. Antonio was a surprise! I loved their back and forth and Finn’s need to adjust and Tony’s need to improve. They worked well together and while it took Finn a while to get past his initial shock these two were super sweet and super-steamy!!!

I enjoyed watching Antonio try to “woo” Finn and face rejection and then have to change course. I felt they made each other better and leveled each other out. I like that once Finn’s mating heat passed he could go back to being a strong independent omega that could hold the court with his fellow Alphas and put Tony in his place.

A thrilling final case for the series too and the perfect lead-in to another spin-off series.

I can’t get enough of Susi & Crista. Another great one!!!

4.5 ⭐s A Mating Made In...
Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2021
Finn was dismayed, appalled, and angry when he scented his mate. He was the last person on Earth Finn wanted. Finn did all he could to avoid Antonio and the overwhelming mating heat that he'd been thrown into. While Antonio, his Alpha Lion mate did all he could to track down and retrieve his mate to the point that even others told him his ideals were way over the top.

This book is the last of The Alphabits series, but don't fret especially if you've been enjoying this Team A.L.P.H.A. spin-off another one follows The Family Novak plus two more, with the final Spin-Off are focused on STAHP. While I was disappointed to say goodbye to the Alphabits I've already met some members of STAHP and the Novak Family.

And there are actually Alphabit Epilogues to read. But plan to enjoy reading about how Antonio and Finn settle their differences first.

.............3.5 ⭐️.............

I loved Finn and Antonio. They had an... interesting start to their relationship. Sort of an enemies to lovers situation, but like, super intense. And poor Finn, nothing was going his way for a while there. Is it bad that I giggled at some of the ridiculous things that happened??

I also liked that we finally got to see some of the other shifter organizations in this book. They get talked about a lot throughout this series (and the original series), and I’m so happy we finally got to see them in action. This world just keeps getting more fleshed out and I just want to explore all of it!

I think the only thing I can complain about is that at some points in this book Finn and Antonio’s relationship felt a little stilted and forced. But overall, it was a fun read. This is getting a solid three and a half stars.

Good

Was ok. The fated mates situation in this book is asking you to really suspend your disbelief. I don't think anything else in the world would have gotten this couple together besides their urge to mate. They had some pretty big differences to overcome but then after they mated it was like one person was immediately ready to change and the other person was immediately ready to start seeing things differently. I wish there was an epilogue since this was the last book in the series. Just another way to check in quick with all the couples from the books.
All bad things aside, it was a sweet little story with low angst and some funny moments.

One of my favorites

I absolutely loved Finn and Antonio and enjoyed listening to the two work through their differences. Finn works for Alphabits, while Antonio works for STAHP. Both wanting to do what is right, but having different ways of doing it. Finn isn’t sure he can accept Antonio’s ways of “justice”, and that causes them to have a small setback. But Antonio is a good Alpha and wants only to make his omega happy.

Kirt Graves did a great job. I enjoy listening to his narrations as he has a way of bringing the characters to life.

Disappointing

I agree with another reviewers assessment: for all Finn was all about being a strong, independent omega; he folded fast. I skimmed the rest of the book, it ticked me off so much. How can one go from hating someone so intenesly, to all gooey submissive after a good roll in the dirt?
I loved all the other books of the series but this was just disappointing. It could have been a gradual courtship with Antonio learning some humility. But of course not. This book ruined both series for me.

Wow, "I hate everything about you and what you stand for" in one minute and the next, "I'll overlook it all because you're my mate." I had whiplash in this one. I'm glad Antonio didn't turn out to be a complete shit, but Finn really accepted him entirely too fast for my taste. I kept waiting for this methodical skeptic to come back. I don't know what happened to him, but Finn had a personality transplant after the hormones hit. I love the characters, I'm just disappointed in this one.

The Finale?

In this final book of the series, Finn, an omega on Team Alphabits, is aghast to find out that his fated mate is Antonio Montoya, the head of the shifter vigilante group, STAHP. Their diametrically opposed approachs to dealing with dangerous criminals causes a great deal of conflict in whether they can find a way to their mating and happiness. Don't miss this exciting conclusion to this series.

Another great add to the series. Finn and Antonio are a great opposites attract couple and I love Kirt Graves narration for them! This story not only brings the couple together but brings both teams to a better foundation and working together. Graves had the perfect voice for all of these personalities and I can't wait for the next.

I'm noticing a trend in these books. The only ethnic characters - the ones who speak languages other than English - are bad guys. In the ALPHA books, there were the Spanish speaking drug dealers, in the Alphabits books there are the Russian mafia bears and the Spanish speaking STAHP leader/cannibal. There's definitely some xenophobia, at least, if not outright racism against Hispanics.

This book was pretty disappointing. First of all, the fact that Finn has an irish accent and has been disguising himself as an alpha is SO INTERESTING! Yet that's never explored? Also, STOP is painted as these murderous monsters but now they're just agreed to be a bit less murdury and everything is fine?

I love the writing of these books. I swear every couple is absolutely perfect for each other. I love the darkness of STAHP, its totally disgusting but I love it. And I love that Finn is able to get his Man Toy (best nickname ever) to stop eating his prey (lol)

This is the first book I've read in the series and by its authors. Here I was hoping for a nice shifter story, but it turned out way too silly for my taste. The dialogues, the thoughts, well everything felt rather over the top. I'm probably in the minority, so please don't mind me.
