It was a quick and easy read with some yummy cakes and humor sprinkled all over. There wasn't much of a mystery but it was a fun book. Nothing really Christian about the story so there were no divine incidents happening either. That was a definite plus, especially in a cozy mystery.

Awesome read with awesome characters and storyline! Restaurant owner/pastry maker decided to make a wedding cake for a couple that comes in. Thens when all the mystery begins! A definite must read!!

Sibling Rivalry.
The story was ok. There wasn’t anything wrong with the story, but not spectacular either. I kind of suspected the culprit but not exactly. It was clean and kind of fun for a murder mystery.

This is my favourite book in this series so far! I loved the unexpected culprit of the murder in this one, the characters storylines have become more developed and enjoyable and it’s nice to see Sammy Baker grow and flourish throughout! Cant wait for the next one.

Wedding cake, a new adventure for Sammy!
Sammy was excited to be making a wedding came which was a new experience for her. Donna Doyle is an excellent writer who weaves her story so compellingly that you cannot put down the book until it is finished. I look forward to the next book! Happy reading! 😊

If you enjoy your cozey mystery with stellar caracters and good clean fun this the writer to tune in to. Sammy has found happiness in Sunny Cove working as a baker and waitress at "Just Like Grandma's ".Sammy has been asked to make her first wedding cake and is on top of the world happy when the local sheriff stops by to get her take on an altercation down at the lake, things don't seem to make much sense to the sheriff and since Sammy had helped him out before he'd hoped she might once again. Can Sammy spare the time to get cotup in the middle of case and if so what will they discover. Find out by picking up and enjoying reading "Wedding Cake and a body by the Lake "☺🤔😮🙄😏😊 Kat

I enjoy author, Donna Doyle. Her mysteries are fun, and show how food is involved in every facet of our lives. Sammy is a master baker. She gets the opportunity to make a wedding cake for a friendly bride-to-be and a grumpy groom. She becomes great friends with bride-to-be, but is unsure of groom. The interaction of the characters are fun and mysterious. An adventure for an afternoon.

This is the 5th in the series. The main character is Sammy who works in a cafe and bakes pies and cakes on the side. She is asked to try making a wedding cake . Before the wedding she and the bride to be notice the groom is acting so different. When the sheriff find a body and asks Sammy for help, they have to figure out who it is before the wedding. Will they make it?Loved this one.

Short and totally sweet
Well I guess the heading says it all except for the good plot, the great characters, nice small town with the elite snobs and the murder. Very well done in such a short story.

Good book
This was a really clean but good mystery. It has a touch of romance, lots of twists, murder, characters that care for one another and hard working Christian people just living life.
