My daughter really enjoyed this book, she is 4 and for a few days really started to wonder if I could be a witch, she tried out a few "spell" while out on walks. I always judge a good book based on whether I see it coming to life in play, and this was a good book.

A funny, sweet, suspenseful story of a girl whose mother is a witch and who is impatient to try out some magic herself. If only she could cast just one little spell, just once--what could go wrong?

I remember reading it as a kid back in 1998 and really loving it to the extent that I was telling everyone about it =)
