Such an applicable title for the second book in what's quickly becoming one of my favorite YA series. I'm strangely drawn to each one of these orphans in a completely different way. And I am loving the gruffy yet soft-hearted guardian, Beck Connell. The man has his hands full with a house full of raging teen hormones and temperaments. Where book one introduced the group and got us settled into the new digs, here relationships are beginning to solidify and feelings held-at-bay are suddenly surfacing fast and furiously.

The author is amazingly bringing life to the new surroundings, the past and present, and providing insight into the diversity in the cast. And the secondary characters are playing an important part in making it all believable. No page-filling nonsense, nothing I can't imagine really happening, no pages filled with rote sexual encounters or overly descriptive body parts. It's all refreshingly entertaining and "real." I'm loving getting to know these kiddos and cheering for each one as they face the loss of family and try to move on the best they can.

And now, I'm off to begin the third book -- "Shy Girl vs. Popular Boy" -- which happens to focus on two of my favorites so far.

Broken girl, you think that's the character but it's really the reader. This author's story will break you if you're a sook like me. The story certainly gave me the feels, the tears and tight chest as my heart broke with her. It's not just a teen romance, it's so much more. Watching these young orphans trying to cope, you know something has to give. This is my fave in the series so far. You will need to read book 1 to see their growth.

I received a free copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.

After reading book 1 I couldn't wait to see how the story continues in Broken Girl vs Fix-It Boy. This series follows a group of teenagers from two different families who lost their parents and end up at the same house with their "uncle" Beck who has lost a lot as well. It's a story about healing and hope. It's amazing following these characters along and I really liked this sequel.

Broken Girl vs Fix-It Boy continues the story form book and the romance of Tane and Harper. While book 1 ended on a hopeful note, it was clear this wasn't the last of their romance and in this book that continues. Where in book 1 we had Stacey's point of view as well in this book we get Bianca's point of view, she's Stacey's twin and they are totally different. I really liked Bianca, I can relate to her character more than Stacey and I liked the potential romance that pops-up for her.

This book again has some heartbreak, although it's less emotional than book 1, it still has these heartbreaking scenes and also some sweet uplifting ones. It was interesting to see how these 5 teenager all deal different with their grief. It really illustrates well how everyone is different and how we all have our own ways of coping and seeing all those different methods in one book was great. It also felt very realistic which I liked.

This book shows them all trying to move on with their lives and starting a new school while still struggling with the pain of losing their parents. Stacey is determined to get Bianca back to new Zealand and tries to get her to fit in with her friends. meanwhile Bianca doesn't feel like she fits in, but slowly finds her own way. I liked the new friend she made and the hint of romance for her. Then there's Willow who still isn't speaking much and it's hard to figure out how she's doing, but she does show some pieces in this book. Oscar has his own struggles and only later in the book we realize what's going on with him and it's so sad.

This book is a lot about deepening and developing relationships. I like how Tane grows closer to the other characters. There is this very sweet scene between him and Bianca and it's fun to see them become family. Then ofcourse there is his blossoming romance with Harper. And it's also great to see Beck step up to the caretaker role. There's some great scenes with beck and Harper. I also liked seeing how Beck was there for Oscar. And there's also a fun scene with Beck and Bianca. Harper is trying her best to take care of her siblings and the others. She's pushed into the caretaker role as well and struggles with the responsibility and having her own dreams pushed to the background.

These characters are slowly growing into a family unit and I loved seeing that. I also liked seeing Bianca and Stacey interact and having had Stacey's point of view in book 1 and now Bianca's point of view I feel like we have a decent feel for both characters. It's fun to see how they have each other's back, but also don't agree on everything.

I like the romance between Tane and Harper and while it's still slow building, I like how Tane doesn't give up on Harper. And Harper tries to be so strong and I loved seeing her realize that asking for help isn't weak and how it can make you stronger. I did feel at times that Tane was the driving force in their romance, he kept proving her how much he cared for her. I loved that about him, but I would've liked to see Harper do more for him as well. But maybe we'll get that in book 3. As I still feel like there's more to their story.

I like how this series shows the stories of all the characters in this house. It's like this big family where all the characters come alive and have their own stories. And I like seeing everyone change and develop. And how we get a feel even for the characters whose point of views we don't get (yet) as well. Even Beck, Oscar and Willow have their own personalities and we get a feel for what they're going through, although to a lesser extend than the ones whose point of view we get. In this book there's the slow introduction of Bianca's romance and I think we'll see more of that in book 3. I am already guessing who the other characters will end up with.

The farm makes such a great backdrop for the whole story and I also like how it's set in New Zealand. Besides the big loss the characters have to deal with this book also has some other things going on like most characters starting a new year at school and trying to find their place. It also touches upon a bunch of difficult topics, but most of all still has this hopeful vibe as well. Everything does fall apart, but also comes together again. I also liked the inclusion of the love languages thing and how it gives Tane an insight on how to show Harper his love.

To summarize: This was a solid sequel. I love following this group of characters along. It's interesting to see them all have their own methods to deal with their grief and loss. It's very realistic. This book is less emotional than book 1, but still deals with the aftermath of the loss and how everyone is coping. It's sad at times, but also hopeful and I like seeing these character slowly grow into family. I liked seeing Harper and Tane's romance continue in this book. And I liked gettign Bianca's point of view, I liked her and can't wait to see how her romance plays out. There are so many great things about this series and I can't wait to see how it continues.

Broken Girl VS Fix-It Boy (Forever Love #2) is the second book in this series, book one gives you there history and book two continues to explore relationships. I absolutely love this series and so far this one is even more lovable than book one. The writing is exceptional and the characters are highly compelling. One of the best ya reads. Looking forward to reading the next novel in this highly addictive series. A beautiful story that will capture your heart. This is very high on my love list for Jordan Ford books. I absolutely love everything she writes, but this story has a different vibe and is absolutely stunning. I highly recommend reading this series.

I was privileged enough to receive an advanced reader copy of this book from the author for a voluntary and honest review.
This is the continuation of Harper & Tane. There is so much I have to say about Jordan but the main thing is: This girl knows exactly what she is doing. Her books are a guaranteed pick me up. You get sucked into her world and you don't even know that it's happening. Everything she writes just keeps getting better and better, and this is no exception.

Broken Girl vs Fix-It Boy is the second book in the Forever Love series and is a continuation of their first book.

Written mainly from Harper and Tane's point of view, but also with some from Bianca, this book details the struggles Harper is facing, with how her grief is affecting her ways the others don't really see as they are too busy trying to sort out their own feelings. Tane and Harper's road is definitely a bumpy one, but I am hoping they will work things out together. As for Bianca, I really can't wait for her story. I'm still not a big fan of Stacy, but I can see she is trying. She just needs to realise (which I think she has at the end of this book) that Bianca is a different person. I also can't wait for Stacy to open her eyes, but that's another story.

This is a touching, emotional book that is excellently written as expected, with no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading. An excellent addition to the series that will definitely leave you wanting more. Highly recommended by me.

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *

I didn't think it was going to be possible for this series to get even better, and yet I have fallen even harder for all these teenagers and the fallout from the tragedy that has brought them all together to the small country town of Hamilton in New Zealand. It's all heart, every step of the way. I would find my eyes randomly leaking throughout and because I was so absorbed in their lives, this entire story was over way too quickly. It is definitely a series I will devour again and again, it's that good.

If you love a heartfelt YA series that has really well developed characters and comes at you from multiple POVs, them you will love this dysfunctional teen family unit that knows they must work together as they are all they have. I love all these characters, but i think for me in this particular story, Bianca has become my new favourite and I can't wait to get to know her better as their stories continue. I received an ARC and this is my honest review. However, I will also purchase this series as this is one of my absolute favourite one click authors.

Harper is doing her best to look after everyone else, keep up with the housework, but she just might need something for herself. It all comes to a head when she has an accident, her brother is suspended from school, and everyone (including her siblings) forgets her birthday.

Beautifully well written, unique, and compelling characters that will make you chuckle at times, but also make you sob in sympathy for the heartbreak they are feeling. I loved this book, Harper will learn that she CAN ask for help, and that she is allowed to show her grief for the loss of her parents. Tane will finally be able to show his affection, show Harper that he only wants her for herself, and he will be there for her at her lowest moment. This book is a tearjerker that sees this new family through some tough times, but they will come together and support each other when it is most needed. I loved it!

I am voluntarily leaving an honest and non-incentivized review of this ARC.

*ARC opportunity*

We see more of what's going on with Bianca in this book than what we seen in City Girl vs. Country Boy. The Hughes (Harper, Willow, Oscar) and the Freeman (Stacey, Bianca) siblings is still going through the aftermath of what happened to their parents and I like how they're trying to come to terms of becoming a real family with their "Uncle" Beck. Also will we find out if Harper finally admit to herself and others about her feelings for Tane. I thought this was a wonderful continuation to the Forever Love series and can't wait for Shy Girl vs. Popular Boy.

After reading book 1 I could not wait for book 2 to come out, and I have to say, Jordan did not disappoint. Each chapter is told by either Harper, Tane or Bianca. Disclaimer: Make sure you have tissues handy.

Harper is still struggling with the loss of her parents and taking over as caretaker of her siblings and the household. While trying to fight her feelings for Tane as she is still grieving the loss of her parents puts her on a slippery slope that is leading to a major breakdown. Her best friends come over for a surprise visit and they go out and party. Harper ends up spilling all that she is going through a drunken rant.

Tane spends his time split between school, farm work and trying to win Harper over. I like the fact that it’s not a rushed relationship, but I do feel like Harper could’ve been a little more willing to try sooner, but there is a book 3, so maybe it will continue there.

Bianca is a loaner who is still lost and trying to find her place in her new school and new life. Stacey is trying to force her to hang out with her friends. After the family realizes that they forgot Harper’s birthday they plan to throw a surprise party for her which ends up falling in Bianca’s lap to put together. She has to get over her shyness to ask one of Tane’s friends for help.

Beck seems to have come out of his shell in this book, fulfilling his role as guardian. You will read several scenes of him having one on one time with the characters and watch them all grow as a family. When it comes to Oscar, Beck is the best at getting to him. And poor Willow is still struggling so hard but making great progress.

There is so much I want to say but once again I feel like the more I talk about it the less you will need to read it and you can skip it, but since that is not my goal, I am going to stop here.

There will be a book 3 out in November that follows Bianca and you’ll just have to wait and see who catches her eye. Once you read Broken Girl vs Fix-it Boy you will know exactly who I’m talking about but I can’t give away spoilers, now can I?

I received this as an ARC for my honest and voluntary review.

How the broken hearts slowly become mended.

If the reader is interested in completing this Forever Love series, then may I suggest reading City Girl - Country Boy #1 first if not already done so, for the following reasons. Jordan Ford, the author, has captured this very emotional real life like situation to a point whereby one feels the individual characters have written these passages themselves, it seems very life like reading this book and ones emotions surface often such is the skill of the author in this series. This is book 2 in a long series, however, I have read several of the additional stories and the skill of the author shown in just these two displays an excellent thinking and writing ability being able to continue such a gripping and emotional journey for both the characters in the books and the readers.

Book #1 lays the foundation for these forward developing loving stories of everyday people, both young and older. It generates around the family and is very poignant about just how important it is in all our lives and just how much one does not appreciate this point until you no longer have the close loving family alongside you.

Most of the characters in this series of stories have all lost family members and as a result their lives change dramatically and some of them have great difficulty coping with this and become quite temporarily lost in their life. Being individual characters each tries to resolve the issues and losses through their own Fix-It-Solutions with varying results, some good and some making the problem worse.

Bianca is the sister of the popular Stacey, a very vivacious and outgoing young lass who is always top of the pops with everybody because of her bright personality and her willingness to be into everything and in most instances is a winner or one that many aspire to be like. She was also very popular with her Mum and Dad and because of her successes they always encouraged her to go for it. She finds it difficult without them around to keep her pumped and she does have some downers, one in particular with her shy, less confident sister Bianca. She is a very sensitive girl and feels left out of life by Stacey because she is a very different, quiet and shy but also very sensitive about how her parents felt for her compared to Stacey. With all the encouragement seemingly piled onto Stacey, Bianca felt she was not really as important to her parents as her sister, however, she eventually through various events sees she may have been reading the situation incorrectly.

After a serious issue that Bianca felt deeply about and she saw the wonderful Stacey take from her, they had words and Bianca decided to do something quite drastic about their situation, Stacey was very surprised by what her sibling did and after much disappoint and soul searching she realized what she had caused her sister to do and promised herself she would make things right and prove she did love her, the family feeling. It was a drastic move for them both and with their guardian Beck providing support they came to a solution that improved both their lives, for the time being.

After overcoming their major difference, Bianca starts to discover a new event in her life and one that she longs for, however, she first has to overcome the insecurity within herself that she believes exists. As with many of the youngsters in these stories because they feel lost, they imagine how others see them little realizing that they may be quite wrong. This event arising for Bianca is so much what she would love to happen but again, she has to believe what others say and feel about her they really mean it.

Another person on Beck's farm was Tane, a young fellow in his last year at the local high school and he was working at many jobs on the farm to help Beck. Tane also had a family issue which involved Beck and he wanted to continue living on the farm to help him. Tane's family issue was the cause of much of the anger in his life and he found being under Beck's care really helped him control his life and gave him a feeling of want to be there. Tane was really taken by surprise when all these other young boys and girls moved in to live at Becks place. He was really very happy with the situation because it was other young people he could interact with in his home and someone to share things with. He also enjoyed becoming one of the carers for all the others and they took to him like a brother-sometimes.

One of the young ladies was really taken by Tane, both in his handsome looks and his kind way with everyone, wanting to be their leaning post if and when they needed one. She wanted to develop their relationship just as Tane did with her, however, the present situation and the fact of having to care for her sister and brother screened her mind so she purposely kept forbidding her sole to reach out like she really wanted to. The loss of her parents was still to raw and the thought of even slightly giving her heart to someone else other than her siblings was too much and so she had a constant internal fight over this lovely lad who was in her surrounds very much. Developments do occur and Harper starts to find solace in Tanes' presence and his kind loving heart.

There are many events taken on by Harper in her bid to bury the hurt she still feels through the loss of their parents and she wants to be everything to all of them, however, this can take its toll and she starts to become lost with her grief, however, there is one big absolute NO NO in Harper's life at this time, she must not ask for help or show any sign whatsoever of weakness that the events surrounding them all is causing her any anxiety at all, she was strong and could take everything in her stride, was she that good though?

An event arises in Harper's life, however, a mistake by her sibling and the others leaves her very deflated and so sad thinking that none of the others really care for her and so what is the point of it all if this is what she means to them-not much considering that way she tries to look after all their needs. Her coping with the end result has a quite dramatic effect on her, one she was so disappointed with but is determined to make good.

Tane, Harper and Bianca are predominant in this book, however, their interaction with the others is still very much a feature too and the development of their ongoing life is very present right through. The author continually raises the bar in the story line of them all and it draws you in on their lives like you almost know them personally.

I can't wait to continue reading this series and no doubt will write a review on those too as I complete them. This is one of the best reads I have had on a jonra such as this for a long time and enjoying it very much.

I have written this review of my own accord without any incentive of enticement from any person or company.

Harper is determined to be everything to everyone. Her parents are gone, so she must be the parent to her younger brother and sister. She has to manage the house for Beck and the others. She must clean, she must cook. She must be in control; she must not fail. Tane could be a comfort. The handsome boy makes her feel safe, protected, special but he will only distract her, make her weak. He's let her know that he wants her, thinks he could be good for her, but she can't allow it. This wasn't the life she planned for but, she must stay strong and face her responsibilities. Until she breaks.

This continues the story of Harper and Tane and begins the story of Bianca and Cam with a whole lot of Oscar, Willow, Stacey, and Beck thrown in. If you believed that you were finished with the tears after the overload of emotions in book one, think again. Mourning is messy, living is even messier. These characters are so real to me. Harper refusing to ask for help, denying it when it's offered; Bianca needing someone to talk to, to remember; Stacey needed to forget; Willow and Oscar not knowing how to process their grief, and Beck feeling like he's got everything under control one minute and floundering the next. So much grief, so many mistakes made. My heart took several hits along the way. It's their new reality. It's the constant barrage of emotions, the day to day absence of their parents, the new town they now live in, the change of routine. The big hurts, the little ones all add up. It's not just for today. It will get better but right now it's too fresh, too overwhelming, all-consuming. So when there were moments of light brought courtesy of Bianca, Tane, Cam, Missy, and Rocket it was everything. I look forward to more of this beautiful story in book three.

An emotional rollercoaster of a ride. I was about a third of the way through the book, when I couldn't sleep one night, so I finished it. I cried big ugly tears, I laughed, I rejoiced, I had 'the feels' of all the anguish, pain, laughter, friendship.

Harper has taken on the role of mother hen, not just to her own siblings, but to the twins, Stacey and Bianca, her parents best friend's kids, along with Tane and 'Uncle' Beck. She has put her dreams on hold so that she can be the parent, but wasn't expecting to parent an extra three as well.

And Beck is busy running the farm, so he hasn't got time to see what is happening at home.

And Harper resents her role. She doesn't want to be the mother, constantly tidying up after everybody else and not getting any help from anyone. Single handedly she has to figure out why her brother, Oscar has become an angry sullen boy who once loved school, but now hates it with a passion. Her sister, Willow, has become silent and doesn't want to talk about anything, and doesn't want to dance anymore.

Then there is Tane, watching all of this, and knowing that unless something happens to ease Harper's load, she is going to implode.

The saga continues, and I can't wait to read more about what the 'family' get up to in the next story.

I enjoyed this one more than the first. I loved getting back into Harper and Tane and learning more about Bianca. This was definitely a tearjerker still but for good reason.
I like Bianca more than her sister Stacy but hopefully things work out for both of them. I’m glad things are looking up for everyone.
Oscar definitely needs some help though. I feel bad for him and wonder if things will get better for him in the third one. Harper definitely needed to let loose in this story also. I felt bad for Tane and how Harper was treating him but Bianca really helped out on that one. He listened to Bianca and watched what worked for Harper. I’m glad Harper took the risk and will hopefully be happier in the third book. I’m excited to see what happens with Bianca and Cam also. I loved that Willow talked more in this story but I wish we knew more about her and what she’s going through. Curious about this Stacy situation also and I kinda hope she drops the boyfriend and his friends because Luka seems to be the only good one in that group. The rest of them just give off bad/weird vibes it seems like.

I really enjoyed this story! It picks up where the last one left off. I would definitely recommend reading the first book in this series prior to starting this one. You really get to know the characters and build during each story. This book follows the multiple main characters, not just Harper and Tane. I loved getting to know this group better. They are trying to pick up the pieces of their lives and find a new normal. Summer is over and school is starting and everyone has to figure out where they fit in now and deal with the grief of losing their parents and everything that that means. This book is really well written and engaging. It pulled me in from beginning to end and I cannot wait for more. I want more of Harper and Tane and Cam and Bianca along with the rest of the characters, Stacey, Willow, Oscar and Beck (guardian father figure). I am super excited to see where the next story goes as this group of people forms a family and figures out who they are, both together and on their own.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

This is the second book in the forever love series by Jordan Ford and keeps with Harper and Tane story and gives us a glimpse of Bianca and Cam. I received it as an ARC for my honest opinion. First I have to say that I really enjoy reading Jordan’s books, they are son heartwarming that I literally devoured them. In this book as always Jordan touches a piece of my soul. This story deals with grieving and mourning and how sometimes you think that controlling your emotions is the best path to overcome your losses until you realize that you really have to let it go and being broken-hearted is part of moving on with your life. As always Jordan’s characters are so well defined and you can really envisioned these kids and their surroundings.
This is a great book and an excellent series to read. I am expecting the next book because I know it will be as awesome as the first two.

*I have received this ARC for a honest review!*

I've got to say that I liked this even better than the first book. I think it has to do with the characters and the wonderful growth curve they had.
I love how this book teaches us that we can overcome tremendous emotional pain with the help of our piers. Especially family and friends, good friends that want what's best for us.
I also have to be honest, this was a tough book to read. It had a very powerful emotional charge and it made me tear up a little when I imagined how hard it must be to live through what these characters live and then come up a somewhat functional human being.
I really appreciate Ms. Ford for writing about this, because I know it will help many people that deal with loss and depression.
I am also waiting for more, because what's to come sounds even better and I can't wait to live it through these characters.

This is the second book in the trilogy and must be read after book one. It is the continuation of the story. Harper has decided to stay around for the year and help look after her siblings. Stacey and Beck went to Australia to bring back Bianca, so they’re newly formed family is complete.i liked this book. It dealt with the continuation of grieving and finding their new normal. It also shows how people deal with their emotions differently and when to ask for help. I’m looking forward to the next installment.

So we get to Meet the dreaded Oma at the start of this book and we begin to understand more about what happened between herself and the twins mum. We also see the beginnings of this mash mash of people become a true family. With harper getting to her breaking point and everybody feeling bad about forgetting her birthday they pull together to make harper feel fantastic. I loved the second part to Tane and Harper’s story with the added view point of Bianca because we get to see more of her. I can not wait to see what else this family gets up to in up coming books.

wow the feels in this book! The story continues from the first book and shows the orphans trying to adjust to a new normal, Beck is amazing with them. The pressure is building for Harper trying to be all she thinks her parents would have wanted. Tane wants to help her but Harper keeps pushing him away. Stacy and Bianca are working on trying to repair their relationship and be there for each other. this is a great story with a hard dose of reality and lots of feels. I am looking forward to the next book in series

Harper is fighting her feelings for Tane but he so sweet and supportive that it’s been difficult. But she must stay strong for her siblings. But when everybody forget about her birthday she is so sad that she can’t hide her feelings. Stacey and Bianca are trying to stick together but Bianca can’t connect with her sister’s friends. Oscar I saw always mad. Can they really bond together and act as a family with al, the pain they all carry around? A powerful, heartwarming story.

This series is an exquisite exploration of teen angst, heart-wrenching misery, and the sensational experience of an all-encompassing first love. I adored the first in this series and this instalment continued to impress me. This is a beautiful continuation of the story, with some emphasis on the development of different characters, and the uniqueness of each character is absolutely wonderful. Can not praise this book or the series highly enough.

What a great series. Tane is a wonderful young man who while knowing what he wants, he also knows to give Harper the space she needs until when she needs him. Harper is a lovely young woman who has lost a lot but feels she needs to take care of everyone and everything or her world will break apart. But no matter how much you keep it in eventually you will break if you don't find someone to share with. This is a great story of how the people you meet can become the family you need.

I am speechless. Broken Girl vs Fix-It Boy has taken me to another level of emotions. The feels this story gives me, it’s so heartfelt. I love all the characters and happy to get to know a little bit more about them and see how their life is changing. The forever series is one of my favorites and I can’t wait to read what will happen next with this “family.”

A wonderful love story. Harper needs to care for her siblings since her parents died. Love wasn’t part of it now. Thoroughly enjoyable. Don’t miss out.

GREAT continuation of the characters' stories ~ I like these kids! (and Beck, of course, too ~ in fact, I hope HE ends up 'happy' with someone after grieving all of his own losses!) Ms Ford does a great job of really portraying teenagers ~ Harper's self-imposed isolation and independence ~ wanting everything to be 'perfect' for her parents is so very relatable; her feelings of being overwhelmed while taking care of a lost adult and 5 teenagers ~ at nineteen years old!!! ~ is amazingly spot on; her attraction to and the pull-push of her relationship with Tane is achingly heartwarming ~ we've all been there!

I'm also quite invested in knowing how these orphans fare ~ the opposite-twins are on a crash-collision-course ~ can't wait to see how Bianca comes out of her shy shell, but I'm also wary to see how Stacey fares; I'm afraid for her . . . . . and Willow and Oscar? What's up with them? Will we learn more about how they're adjusting, or because they're really not older teenagers, will they be overlooked? So much to read about in the upcoming sequels!!!
