I have a secret. I’m in love with Nashville Wilde. And although some might wonder what’s the big deal? It’s this. He’s the king of Kiss Academy. I’m the scholarship kid who’s in danger of losing said scholarship. He’s an actual freaking movie star. I’m a decent soccer player. Okay, more than decent. I’m actually pretty proud of my soccer skills, but still, international heartthrob & high school soccer player. But the very biggest deal of all? He’s my best friend’s brother. And I would never do anything to hurt my best friend. Period. So my love for Nash will always stay a secret. Who cares that we have to get all up close and personal now that he’s promised his sister he’ll practice soccer with me after I was kicked off the team for something I didn’t do. Who cares that it kind of seems like he might be into me too? (Definitely wishful thinking). Who cares that he stood up for me after his ex, and the most popular girl in school, starts badmouthing me. I can’t fall for my best friend’s brother. So I’ll just keep dreaming of Nashville Wilde and the kissing game.
As usual, author Julia Keanini delivers a fun YA, high school age romance. The characters had depth and definite personality and acted in keeping with their age. I love the coastal, boarding school setting the friendship between characters. The stage has been set perfectly for the next book which I am looking forward to.

Okay! So before I start, I want to say I wasn’t sure about this book. Because of what it was named and on top of that, no... let me backtrack, I wasn’t sure about this book because of the description of the book. I was like, I don’t know if I am going to like this book.
But once I started, it turns out to be a pretty good book. I was glad that I got around actually to read it. I liked Nashville and Marley's story though both their names are horrible. I liked their story. Especially when Nashville twin? Triplet, or is it just his sister. I know it mentioned something about twins and the other half ... but back to what I was saying. Especially when his sister London knew that Marley had a thing for her brother and asked him if he liked Marley when they all were at the diner... but I kind of figure that that Jet had a thing for Marley and London had a thing for him. Still, she was trying to deny her feelings for him. Due to the fact that he liked Marley...
But what she doesn’t know is that they will be together real soon. Lol 😂... but anyways; I thought Marley mom did need to get put in her place I mean she couldn’t base her life on her daughter life because Marley could meet someone who was and is different from her dad (Nashville) and don’t get pregnant young and run her career to become a professional soccer player... I was glad that her mom realizes that in the end, when Nashville followed them from California... he was even going to leave Kiss Academy so that Marley could come back. If that wasn’t love, I don’t know what is...
Plus that Natalia girl was just horrible. I was glad that Dakota got rid of her as her friend because Dakota was to nice to have someone evil as a friend. Especially when Natalia lied about her arm being hurt with a water bottle😂 like she was doing too much. But in the end, she still looked like a jealous fool because getting Marley off the team didn’t work on it lead her to Nashville, the one guy that Natalia wanted... she (Natalia) played herself, and Marley won because she got the guy.....
I did not expect to love this book so much. From the title of the book and the blurb, I honestly expected to roll my eyes a lot. But wow. 😍 10/10 would recommend. For anybody wondering... it’s not childish, not at all. The author did a great job. 🙌🏼
really sweet story, skips through a lot, and somehow you are never sure why they like each other so much, there is no declaration of love, but you know they do when you read their POV. I wish it was longer and we had more interaction between the characters and no just the 4-5 interaction we actually get to read about.
Fun story that will take you back to your high school glory days. You'd think that because it's about rich, famous kids at a boarding school you wouldn't be able to relate, but being a teen is being a teen no matter where you live. Loved the characters. Loved how they stood up for each other and respected parents and their rules. Nash was a good good kid. I wouldn't worry about my daughter dating him. Clean
Pretty good, better than a lot of the KU YA I’ve read lately. I liked the build and the multi POV but I do wish it was a little longer. Right now the romance is more crush/attraction level and to me the great sells are when they get you to really feel the characters love each other.
Quick read and glimpse into the imagined life of the rich and famous’ kids at boarding school. Thoroughly enjoyed the main characters and their friends. Even “mean girl” drama who ends up losing her friend group as is should be!
In a long time, I haven't read such a lame story as this. I love sweet YA books and they usually are very enjoyable, but this one... ahh... the story is a bit dumb and the main heroes as well. I lost time for nothing.
This is a delightful and sweet story set in an elite boarding school for the rich and famous, and a few lucky scholarship kids. Marley is one such scholarship kid, included because of her skill in soccer. She is best friends with London, one of the Wylde triplets along with Dakota and Nashville. Nash and London were both in tv shows and then Nash moved to movies, he's the handsome heartthrob that graced every teenage girls walk and Marley is no different... Plus she has a massive crush on him. When she is suspended from playing club soccer, London comes up with a plan to help her stay in shape by practicing with Nash. As they get to know each other better, love grows. There are stumbling blocks to their romance to be overcome but in the end it works out. I enjoyed the way social anxiety, bullying and family drama were presented. A delightful fun read.
Kiss is short for Kissinger Academy, where children of the rich and famous attend, along with a few scholarship students like Marley. She really doesn’t fit in, but she tries not to let that bother her, because she knows that the school will prepare her for future success at a top university. She’s also focused on getting good grades and playing soccer, and not on the handsome movie-star brother of her best friend. But it’s getting more and more difficult when Nash seems to turn up everywhere she goes. This is a cute book and the setting and situations remind me of the movie Clueless. This is the first of a three-book (so far) series, and I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the stories about Kiss Academy.
Fabulous characters and wonderful storyline. Almost everyone crushes on movie actors and actresses. It would be really hard to concentrate at school if you were around your famous crush all the time. I loved the powerful female leads and their counterparts. Lots of clean chemistry:) I highly recommend this book. Happy reading!
Unrealistic in a teen angsty way, but in a fun read overall. This book had an adorable plotline with sweet characters (and it was clean romantically speaking!) 4 stars
