Shéa MacLeod has dreamed of writing novels since before she could hold a crayon. She totally blames her mother.
Her favorite poem as a child was ‘Jabberwocky’, and Her favorite authors were Agatha Christie and Edgar Allan Poe. Which probably explains a lot.
After a six year sojourn in London, England, a dearth of good donuts has driven her back to her hometown. She now resides in the leafy green hills outside Portland, Oregon where she indulges in her fondness for strong coffee, Ancient Aliens reruns, lemon curd, and dragons.
Because everything's better with dragons.
Shéa is the author of the SUNWALKER SAGA (a fast paced urban fantasy series with a kick-ass heroine published by Montlake) and DRAGON WARS (a post-apocalyptic series with dragons)as well as the Cupcake Goddess novelettes.
I love these books, Lady Rample , Aunt Butty and Chas go to Lady Rample's Villa in France. Last Rample is unwell with a cold and has a good old nosy out of her bedroom window into the neighbours Villa. She thinks she sees something quite odd but isn't sure as Aunt Butty gave her medication to help her sleep. A proper good mystery.
I enjoyed this story. The characters are quite interesting, the plot is straightforward, and the premise is seeing if Lady Rample's feelings were off or correct. As it turned out, they were spot on and some funny business did indeed happen next door. I most definitely recommend this book and look forward to the next one.
Don't know if the book will be good. Barely in several chapters and half the time, 'whisky' (Brit spelling) is spelled 'whiskey'. Because sometime spelling is correct, lazy or incompetent editing personnel don't know how to do a word search and correction. Shame on the author too.
Eh, I didn't enjoy this book as much as others in the series! The premise was interesting but it just didn't seem to move or have any oomph! Hopefully the next one will be more in depth!
