Terran Strike Marines #2

Rage of Winter (Terran Strike Marines)

One Shot. One Kill. One sniper to strike fear in the heart of alien invaders.

Hoffman’s Strike Marines pursue enemy agents across a wintry world, desperate to stop an insidious threat festering in the heart of the Terran Union. Their hunt is disrupted when the fanatical Kesaht invade and the team is split across the snow and ice of a harsh planet.

The team’s sniper, Duke, plays a deadly game of hit-and-run to slow the aliens' advance and earns the ire of the enemy commander.

Hoffman, trapped in the frigid wilds, leads his Marines and their cunning prisoners back to the front, where they must join the fight against the Kesaht before the planet is lost.

Rage of Winter is the second book in the Terran Strike Marine series. Read this action-packed military science fiction novel set in the best-selling Ember War universe!

I do love Hoffman. Man the stuff that that unit goes through is unbelievable. I am surprised that they're not all dead or some of them. Fast, stuff happens and then another and it keeps going. I can't read fast enough and my heart pounds so fast. These stories are awesome. I received a free review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.

The Hoffman team find themselves back in action on the frozen planet of Koen. Their mission: capture the mysterious woman from New Bastion. After acquiring the target, the team finds themselves in the middle of a planetary assault. Better action. Some good humor, and a good story line makes for an excellent read.

Great characters great story

The characters just keep growing more and more likable. Duke with his ‘vice’, Garrison with his just to the edge complaining, Hoffman looking for redemption he doesn’t need and King just being the gunney. The story was great the characters were better

A bit slow to start .

I thought it started a bit slow at the begining, after the characters for the the mountains and into the city. There it took off like an air raid siren, with a low wail into a full roar.

Embrace the suck.

Almost like old home week with the military jargon. Having spent some time in cold weather fun, I could feel the chills from the description. The banter between sniper and medic was realistic.

Outstanding book

The second book of the LT Hoffmans Strike marines adventures. An outstanding addition in the Ember Wars universe. Most author collaborations dont flow well. This one is a perfect example of what good looks like.

Enjoyable, well written, can't wait to read the next book

Nice moving plot, different mission handled by the usual crew. I'll enjoyed the interplay between the characters and finding out more details about things that happened in the first book.
