This is a slow burn holiday romance about two broken people with one goal—to survive.

Yoshiro escaped a career of crime with the mafia, after they killed his family. For five years, he’s dropped out of life. All he wants this Christmas is to be left alone. Then, Ebony and her kids accidentally crash onto his property during a snowstorm. For three years, they’ve been running from her husband—who’s been more monster than man.

The storm picks up. They are forced to remain with Yoshiro until it dies down. And the threat of Ebony’s monster remains, lurking within the shadows and threatening her safety. But Yoshiro knows all about death and blood. Her monster doesn’t scare him. What has him terrified is that heartwarming feeling sparking between them. The more time Yoshiro spends with Ebony, the more she becomes a Christmas present that he’s dying to open. Too bad, she’s promised herself that she will never let another man in her or her children’s life again.

Yet, sometimes the best Christmas presents come from a bullet. Every so often a good Christmas miracle is a cut-up body to end a nightmare. And even better, at just the right moment two lonely people can find light in their darkened souls and open their hearts to a new romance.

REDEMPTION is a standalone AmBw romance with an HEA and no cliffhangers. This book also contains violence, strong language, naughty illustrations, and graphic sexual scenes.

I didn't expect to be gifted with a book about Ash. Once I'd seen his monster temper in Reputation and how he came around, seeking forgiveness, I thought that was that. However, now I know that there was so much more to this man. While he was busy making everyone's dreams come true, his sister and his best friend, his own hopes for himself got lost. So lost that he tried to fill the hole left behind with booze. So much booze that he became a functional alcoholic, equipped with a short temper and some severe paranoia. After hurting those he loved most, he decided he needed to put distance between them and his downward spiral. His quest for redemption led him to the small town of Carmel Cove, a place, according to the author, of open-heartedness, charity, and perseverance.

The water of my sins had swallowed me whole, but it was her touch that pulled me gasping from the depths. And even though I was still drenched in the consequences of my past choices, I could breathe again. I could break free from my watery grave.
I could redeem myself.

Taylor was such a kind and caring character. After helping Ash in one of his hours of need, she took something for herself. After adoring him for years, when she knew her affections were reciprocated, she gave in. Their one moment of intimacy created a blessing, one Ash had no clue about when he decided to leave and find himself. Raised in an extremely pious home, her Catholic upbringing branded her a sinner. Refusing to live under the judgmental eyes of her family and their friends, she seeks out Ash, for succor and to tell him about their baby. However, when he welcomes her with open arms and an open heart, she keeps to her own counsel. She tells him nothing. While they fall deeper in love than either of them expected, she keeps him in the dark.

I realized that the strongest emotion I'd felt in the middle of all this tragedy was love. Because in the midst of utter destruction, it's the only thing worth fighting through it for.

Taylor broke my heart. As much as I loved her, I sat in judgment of her. I abhor secrets and hers was one that wasn't even hers to keep. Ash wasn't abusive. He wasn't a killer, thief, or negative influence. He may not be perfect, but he was so incredibly worthy and he deserved to know. So yeah, my only hangup with this book was the fact that she kept her mouth shut. Angst for no reason really grinds my gears. Otherwise, Redemption was an amazing read about love and forgiveness, a story I'm happy to recommend.

Whew

They chopped his a** up 😂. Listen this was by far my favorite read by Kenya. Ebony showed resiliency at every turn. Although yo yo wanted to be a hero they did things as a team. The way it should be.

Redemption is the redeeming arc of Ashton Tyler. It’s sad and angsty and so beautiful. When you read it, it’ll weasel a piece of itself into your heart and that piece right there is the piece of Rebecca Sharp’s heart that she poured into this book. It’s not at all what I expected, it’s so much more. You’ll feel everything with Redemption and when it’s over you’ll wish you had never read it so that you can experience it all over again for the first time

I love when a book takes a complicated character, and as the title of this one suggests, redeems him and makes you fall completely in love with him. Life is not always black and white, and good people can do bad things.. things they never expected they would do. I think there is something so beautiful in taking a flawed character and making him into a person you root for, a person you want to end up happier than they ever thought was possible.

If you have read Reputation, you know that Ash is Blake's brother, and he is hiding a huge secret. He's a high level functioning alcoholic, and it is taking over his life. He is rarely sober, and is quick to anger no matter what. This was the reason why he gave Zach the ultimatum to break his sister's heart, and ever since, he hasn't been able to look at himself in the mirror. His entire life he's given up pieces of himself to those he loves, and even though he doesn't regret it, he wants his chance of happiness. He just doesn't know how to accept it without sabotaging it.

During his lowest point, the object of his affection, the untouchable, very conservative, religious, and virginal Taylor helps him in a way neither of them expected. Taylor is his sister's best friend, and he's always denied himself feeling more for her than he already does. He believes she deserves so much better than him, and refuses to taint her. However, one evening whether he lets his guard down and Taylor sees the pain he's been hiding for so long, turns into a night of passion that Taylor will never forget. Unfortunately the same can't be said for Ash.

Five months ago, Taylor gave a huge piece of herself to Ash, and in turn is now carrying their baby. Before finding out she was pregnant, she left Ash in the bed they shared during their night of passion. She knew he couldn't handle what happened between them once he sobered up, and she didn't want to be another reason why the one man she has always wanted continued to drown himself. So she let him go. Fast forward to the present, and she tracked him down to a wonderful small town, and he's unlike the Ash she's known her entire life. This Ash is sweet, considerate, passionate, and everything she knew he could be. She struggles with telling him what transpired between them that night, and the result of it. She asks for refuge from her uber conservative Catholic family, whom she knows will judge her for having sex and getting pregnant while not being married. While her and Ash become closer than ever, their mutual feelings take over and they can no longer deny how they feel. But once Taylor tells Ash the truth about the father of her baby, will he stay or break her heart?

This book is so much more than your average love story. Alcoholism effects so more than just yourself, and watching Ash overcome it, and be the man he always wanted to be was so real, and so amazing. He never thought he would have Taylor's love, and you saw him just bloom into such an amazing man. There's also new characters that are introduced that I so hope get a story of their own, because I'm not ready to leave this magical place!! Another knockout from this amazing author!!

**I I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!!**

More violent than I was expecting but also sweeter and more romantic than I was thinking I'd get.

These two were a beautiful slow burn together. I loved the audio and if you read the KU version, there are some sexy illustrations sprinked throughout. 😏

This was my first book by Rebecca Sharp and she has left me speechless! This is by far one of the easiest 5 stars I’ve given a book. It didn’t matter that I wasn’t even halfway into the book when I knew this story would exceed those five stars it without question deserved.

As soon as I started reading I was immediately entranced. I knew right then not even a paragraph in that I wanted nothing more then for this book to never end. I was completely and utterly captivated by this story and this amazing group of people and their undeniable goodness. And as much as I liked every character in their own way—there was one that immensely surpassed everything, Ash undoubtedly owned every piece of my heart.

Ash is lost and in order to find himself he leaves to make himself better. For a long time alcohol was the answer. He tried to fill the void by drinking and not caring about the destruction his drinking caused. But after an incident occurs, he hates the damage he’s done because of his drinking. My heart shattered for Ash and what he was going through. There was so much more to him and he was so deserving of the redemption he was seeking. It’s no question I was rooting so hard for him and him accepting forgiveness.

Taylor was such a kind and caring person. She’s the one person who truly sees Ash. And one night when Ash desperately needs her help—she’s there for him and without knowing, Ash is also there for Taylor. After months have passed, Taylor finds Ash and thus begins their journey they never knew was in their grasp, but one they hoped for.

Ash and Taylor were everything. They both leaned on each other and were always there for one another. Even though Ash didn’t feel worthy and especially worthy of Taylor, she made him see how wrong he was. Ash was every bit deserving and deserved every good thing. My love for Ash and Taylor is beyond. I loved their friendship, I loved their love and I absolutely loved the journey to get them there.

Redemption was the journey one takes to seek forgiveness from others, but more importantly forgiveness from yourself. It’s angsty, downright emotional and everything beautiful. This story and Ash and Taylor will forever have a piece of my heart. I will cherish this book, always.

Rebecca, thank you for writing this book. I know you hadn’t planned to write it, but I’m so happy you did. After reading your author’s note I couldn’t stop the tears. You have no idea how much I needed this book. Thank you isn’t enough, but again—thank you, thank you, thank you for writing Ash’s story.

MUST READ

DEFINITELY RECOMMEND

Alright, is everyone ready to enter the magical and healing world of Carmel Cove? Ash and Taylor take us on an emotional journey. It is filled with self-discovery, learning to accept your missteps, and working on forgiveness. The message of this story is one of hope and as the title says, REDEMPTION. ⁣

“𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘐 𝘳𝘦𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘮𝘦? 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘦 𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘢 𝘰𝘧 𝘪𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘦𝘵, 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘐 𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘵.”⁣

Ash had to run away from home and find a new place to reinvent himself. As the story continues, you realize he has manage to build a new support system that allows him to travel down a different road. You see that he has turned a new leaf especially if you read about him Reputation. He was such a jerk in that book. Eek. It is wonderful seeing him through a different lens. ⁣

“𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘨𝘪𝘧𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺. 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘐 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘯𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮, 𝘢𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘳 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶’𝘷𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦—𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘥,”⁣

Taylor is my girl. You see her beautiful heart from the beginning and how much she cares about Ash, at times to her own detriment. She comes to find him several months after he left. Imagine his surprise to see her knocking on his door and even more shocking is she is visibly pregnant. ⁣

“𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘵 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘵… 𝘯𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘶𝘴 𝘥𝘰; 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘦. 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘧𝘢𝘶𝘭𝘵. 𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘦 𝘱𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦.⁣

Plan for all kinds of surprises and revelations as this story continues. Both Ash and Taylor have to work on sharing their feelings and believing in themselves. ⁣

“𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘦.” 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵. “𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯.”⁣

The character of Larry leaves me speechless and full of emotions. He truly was “the frosting on the cake” of this story. ⁣

Ugh I don’t want to say more about this story other than it is insightful, intriguing and yes, STEAMY. ⁣Wink!

“𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦. 𝘜𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦. 𝘋𝘰 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯.”⁣

Happy Reading Everyone! This story is more than five star worthy. ⁣

This is my first read by Miss Wright. I do not know what to expect from it but the trope of black woman and asian man intrigue me.

The romance is good. I like the flirty part of Yoshiro. He is fine!! He is like modern day robin hood type of assasin. His flirting got me smile.

What I do not like is what Yoshiro and Ebony done to Wyatt at the end. It feels like glorified murder which is not cool. The writing is ok. Enough for me to keep listening until the end.

Overall I enjoy this book OK

"She is mine." But it was more than that. "She is my redemption."

OH MY...I wholeheartedly loved this book! My first introduction to Ash was in Reputation and he was in my opinion a big d!ck. Ash in this book is a man changing himself for the better and now I freaking love him! Taylor is just as amazing in this book as she was in Reputation. You see that they both are struggling with their fears and their worthiness to others or even to themselves. I enjoyed the references to religion that Dr. Rebecca Sharp, it was so beautifully written.

"Like the reverse of Adam's rib being taken to make Eve. Ash was going to take something from me, something that would make us one."

I can't wait to read more about all the secondary characters, that we get acquainted with in Redemption. I don't want to give too many details away, but this was a truly emotional book (even reading the author's note got to me). Needless to say, but I highly recommend reading this EPIC book! Redemption by Dr. Rebecca Sharp will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!

This is a DNF without prejudice. I just don't like stories with a lot of kids in it. I was hoping my stan-ship of the author in general could make me overlook the worry the blurb gave me. This is purely a "me" issue. Outside of the that, the story was going well.

For a story called redemption, there wasn’t much redeeming

I couldn’t enjoy or respect this story. This guy supposedly realized that he wanted to be better and was focusing on sobriety but still couldn’t keep it in his pants while the love of his life was struggling and pregnant with his baby. Unlike most second chance stories it hasn’t even been long. A short 5 months away from someone he supposed to have been in love with for years, and he’s screwing other people? It’s nauseating, and the author made sure to throw in a scene with him screwing the other woman right before the heroine finds him. She knocks on his door to tel him about the baby and finds him with another woman. He takes the other woman into the bedroom and swears the baby couldn’t be his because he has never touched her like that and she’s only his sisters best friend. I’ll be honest, I DNF. I skimmed ahead for confirmation, but I knew right then what kind of story the author was writing. Angst ridden hero hurts virginal heroine over and over again because he’s really just a selfish a$$, and she forgives everything because she is weak and pathetic. I was completely right. When he finds out the baby is his he throws a giant hissy fit screaming at her. What was she supposed to have done? He’s the only person she has ever been with, she has never even dated. She shows up to tell him and he has just finished screwing another woman... This was just so poorly done! It has only been a few months. He was supposed to be focused on sobriety, it’s not like he can even blame alcohol. If he couldn’t find a speck of loyalty before, he never will. All while he is the only person this 26 year old woman has even been with. Authors cut this misogynistic crap out, and move into the 20’s for Pete’s sake. Do better!

This book is set in the same “universe” as reputation, but it can be read as total standalone. In fact I would say this book is more like the prequel to a new series (as confirmed by the author) than a sequel to reputation. For me redemption was the better book. I don’t know why exactly, it was just better. I never thought that I could sympathize with Ashton, but I did. His book showed me more about him than I would have ever expected and I wept when I read the explanation of the author in the back of the book. It was raw and real and such an important topic!
You matter!
It doesn’t matter what your demons, depression or bad people tell you. YOU MATTER: Never forget that.
The characters were honest and real and the development was exceptional. I could connect with them almost instantly, but one time Taylor kind of disappointed me. I did not understand her actions and it made no real sense for me that a person who was as organized and out together like her would do such a thing. It was explained a little bit through the story, but still I felt myself mulling over that scene and thinking that it was completely out of character for her. Maybe the author wanted to do it that way. Maybe she wanted to show that everybody can do something out of character for once and then has to carry the consequences, but I’m still not sure if I liked it.
The plot was well developed and left not many questions unanswered, but those who are needed for further books set in Carmel Grove. I cannot wait to see what is going to happen there and I hope those books will come soon.

This was the first book I came across from this author and I was excited to get into some romance by them. I've heard other books by them were great so I went in super hyped.

Prior to getting the book, I did know that it was about a woman on the run from her abusive husband with her kids but I was not prepared at all for there to be sexual assault and children getting punched within the first few pages. Right off the bat, I was very wary and kinda wished that there were trigger warnings in place for other readers that have experienced DV. Going forward I was just ready to meet the other main character, Yoshiro, and see how they come together.

When I tell you, I was so put off with the chapter heading, "Ching Chong" I-.

I just had to pause for a second before reading ahead because I just didn't want to jump to any conclusions. It didn't get any better. We meet Yoshiro in a strip club where we learn his tragic background through his internal monologues and we do see him getting called racial slurs by idiots trying to enter the club, hence the chapter heading. This whole scene was written to make Yoshiro seem badass and while I applaud him for beating up racist idiots, I cringed throughout that whole scene.

Overall, I couldn't finish the book because when I finally got to where the characters finally do meet, there are hints of instant attraction that I couldn't get past because we were just reading about her trauma the chapter before and her worrying about the safety of her kids. Overall, I really wanted to like this one but I think this one wasn't for me.

Dr. Rebecca Sharp has become a fast favorite of mine... and this book is a prime example of why. I love a book with a character that is a complete asshat, but throughout the book, they redeem themselves and the author did this with Ash, who is Blake's brother (from Reputation). He was not a character I liked very much. But once I started reading this and saw that the author was going that direction, I was a little taken back, I didn't think she could do anything that would make me fall in love with this character, but low and behold, she did. I am completely smitten with Ash now. This story has sort of personal feel to it for me. Not completely but the topics that this author writes about are topics that hit home hard for me, so it is safe to say I was a little emotional and consumed when it came to Ash and Taylor's story.

Ash is trying to escape the demons he lives with on a daily basis, he is trying outrun them, and within doing so he finds himself in Carmel... He's a high functioning alcohol that uses the substance to hide from his demons, to suppress the emotions that come along with those demons, but once in Carmel he starts to turn his life around, but not without struggle and not without realization of what this addiction had truly done to not only him but most important people in his life, one in which is Taylor.

Taylor has ALWAYS been there for Ash. She's seen him through rough times, she has seen him when he had almost hit rock bottom. Always by his side, always the first person to be there for him and throughout all that, he has developed feelings for him, and she for him as well. But what he thinks is a drunken haze dream he had is a reality and something that truly happened. Something Ash is struggling to remember, yet Taylor has never been able to forget.. but when it all comes to a head and the Ash finds out the truth, it's as though he's been given a second chance... It's taken countless mistakes, fighting demons off with toxic habits and behavior and him to really open his eyes for the first time in his life to finally see what has been standing in front of him the entire time. He starts to find what he needs in life, what he needs love and what he truly deserves and wants... But it took him to nearly lose everything and for his world to fall to pieces for him to finally realize the truth.

I went into this knowing it was gonna rip my heart out before I got that HEA, and it sure as hell did. I cried I laughed, I growled, I was so bent out of shape throughout the book, I found myself squeezing my kindle so damn tight it could have snapped. Like I said above, this story has a personal feel to it for me. I'm someone that has battled addiction, that has loved, lost, and fought so hard to get where I am today... So when it comes to plots like this? Well, they pretty much consume me. I get so invested, I get so emotional... and this book was already going to be emotional and raw for someone who doesn't and hasn't struggled, so it really did hit some hard spots for me, but that is what kept me reading too. I wanted to know Ash's story, I wanted to see what he did and does,... There were moments I wanted to climb into the book and smack him upright the head, and the same can be said about Taylor but really, I absolutely adored these two. They were made for each other and that was made known from the beginning. Addiction and all that comes with addiction are real issues in this world, I have lived with them myself and I've seen the people I love/loved struggle too. It's real, it's raw, it's scary and it can be hard to escape from. So to read a book such as this and see how the author worked these topics into it? It was amazing. She flawlessly wrote a raw, emotionally gripping, all-consuming, heartbreaking, tragically beautiful plot that I couldn't get enough of.

Truly, this book was amazing and I can't wait to see what she does with the secondary characters in this book, because even they went through more than anyone should in life... These struggles are real and they are life-changing.

I honestly didn't think I could love this author any more than I already do, but she went and deliver an outstanding and unforgettable read that I will continue to go back to and read

I am speechless...I can honestly say I am lost for the right words to tell you how much I LOVED and cherish this book by Rebecca Sharp. So this will probably be a short review, because of the simple fact that I love this story too much for simple words.
Words seem meaningless when to me it is perfect.
I am not going to tell you anything about the story because if you decide to read it( which I think you should) then you will experience the full effect of this incredible journey between Ash and Taylor. It is a beautiful tale poetically crafted from the mind of Rebecca Sharp. This may be my favourite story by her so far.I cried more than neccessary, feeling the raw emotions deeply and unapologetically between two characters that I felt an instant connection to.
ASH...Stole my heart completely he is perfectly imperfect and I adored him ,it is so hard to be able to pick yourself up from rock bottom and admit you are in trouble but Ash did and I was in Awe of him.Taylor was everything that is good and kind and her strength was something I admired she loved unconditionally and without judgement despite her upbringing and I loved that about her.
Set in a small town called Carmel Cove were Ash ran to so he could save himself,I found myself enjoying meeting all the characters of this town and Ash and Taylor fit in so easily.
This is such a special book,it is like a bible, there are so many wonderful quotes and good advice that are like mantras to live by.Redemption will always be an important and exceptional book for me and I am sure others will take something special away with them when they read it too.
I treasure everything this book stands for and the message of Redemption, and forgiveness it sends especially the lesson of trying to forgive yourself and that Love always wins .
5 Stars will NEVER be enough.
Exquisite.

Addiction of any kind is hard to overcome but for Ash seeing the way he was hurting his sister and his best friend he knew he needed to get away and get himself straight so he left his family and friends and did just that. This story is not only about facing your mistakes and making things right it is about going after the things you have always wanted as well, and for Ash that was Taylor.

Taylor showed up on Ash's doorstep needing help and that is just what he did without any questions, Ash opened his home to her and gave her the safe haven she needed. Taylor had a secret she was keeping from Ash, a BIG SECRET, yes Ash knew she was pregnant he just didn't know the circumstances that developed that caused her pregnancy and right now she was afraid to tell him for fear of him turning his back on her.

This was a very emotional read for me but I loved every moment of it. The chemistry was scorching, the friendships were more than just friendships - they were family, and the pain of different events hit me like a blast to the chest. I sobbed like a baby a couple of times and when you read the story I am sure you will know when that was.

I was thrilled to find out that this story is kind of/ sort of a prequel to a new series that will be coming soon. I cannot wait to read about the men and women of Carmel Cove.

I would recommend this to those over 17 that enjoy Contemporary Romance especially those that enjoy the surprise pregnancy or siblings best friend tropes.

Happy Reading!!!

Not bad. Lost Potential.

Rating: 2 1/2 stars

I feel sad because Kenya Wright wrote an amazing book--No Ordinary Love: An Interracial Erotic Romance --and now, well this.

This book had so many typos and grammatical errors that I was floored. Sure, there is gorgeous artwork inside but it's overshadowed by the fact this book desperately needs to be edited. I mean the word bastard was literally spelled "basterd" throughout the entire novel. And that was just ONE typo. I gave the book 2 1/2 stars because so much effort was put into the artwork. The cover and the graphics inside are beautiful. So why not put as much effort into editing??

Otherwise, the MCs, Yoshiro and Ebony, and supporting characters were all likable. The kids and dogs are plot moppets. There were some seriously dark moments. This book has graphic sex and violence. It is MA+ So if you are under the age of 18 or offended by gore and hardcore sexual descriptions, skip over the scenes or just skip this book.

If I'd purchased this book, I would have been quite disappointed. A book with this much potential deserves better. I hope the author revises and re-releases it.

I always look forward to reading RS and she has done it again with another awesome five star read. I could have totally devoured this book in one go but after starting the book I ended up with two sick kids both vomiting and I had to put it down.

If you have read Reputation, you know that Ash is Blake's brother and he is hiding a huge secret. He's a high level functioning alcoholic and it is taking over his life. This was the reason why he gave Zach the ultimatum to break his sister's heart, and ever since, he hasn't been able to look at himself in the mirror.

Taylor is his sister's best friend, and he's always denied himself feeling more for her than he already does. He believes she deserves so much better than him, and refuses to taint her.

I have to say that the people of Carmel Cove have captured my heart and I so can't wait for the Carmel Cove series next year.

I received an advance copy of this book. I am voluntarily giving my honest review, and I plan to buy this book when it becomes available.

Redemption is one of my top reads this year. I fell in love with Rebecca Sharp’s writing after reading Reputation and I preordered Redemption as soon as it became available. What an incredible journey of love, forgiveness, hope, and just as the title states—redemption. The writing was poetically beautiful and I couldn’t put it down. Rebecca Sharp has found a forever fan in me and she blew me away with Ash and Taylor’s story. Beautiful!!

Sometimes there comes a time when the human being bottoms out and has two options. One is to stay deep in the dark, the other is to push you the moment you touch it to surface and survive.

Ash reached that point. His life, the environment he surrounded himself and his decisions helped him to immerse himself in alcohol. Losing control due to excesses. Until he decides to turn his life completely, to overcome his alcoholism, pursue his dreams and achieve the stability he needs. What he doesn't know is the change his life will give, when his sister's best friend decides to knock on her door...

Taylor is Ash's sister's best friend. For a long time she was attracted to Ash. He grew up around the dogmas of religion. Maybe very coerced of her wishes. Those who overflowed at the right time to unleash the fire that consumed her, when the opportunity to be close to him materializes.

Ash's evolution in his determination to rehabilitate and meet his goals is inspiring. The story itself is in some way. His humility, surrender, perseverance will enchant you. In the same way that the relationship with Taylor develops. She is that special person who helps make the best of him. She is his redemption.

There are moments of much angst in this story. One of the things that surprised me was knowing that one of the characters was inspired by the author’s grandfather, who suffered from severe depression. Rebeca's writing style is a poetic and philosophical one. You can clearly perceive that she spills his life experience in her words. It is one of the things I love in an author.

A beautiful story about overcome, dreams, trust, love, family, friendship and redemption.

I absolutely loved this story written by Dr. Rebecca Sharp and could not get enough of this story. The moment I started reading this story i could not put it down and can not write how much I loved this book. The story really examined some really sensitive topics but it was done really well and showed how much emotion the author put into this story.

Taylor was a good girl that did everything she could for the people around her. I found her to be really sweet and really caring about those around her. I really loved seeing her let go throughout the story and doing things for herself despite the views of her family that she was brought up with.

Ash was a really complex character that really grew throughout the story. My heart really broke for him throughout the story with the way that the did not feel good enough for Taylor and the negative feelings he had about himself.

This story was one that I really loved and did not want to finish. There was so much emotion throughout the story written by the author. This was the first story i have read by this author and it will definitely not be the last. This is a story that I definitely recommend to everyone.

Wow! Emotions are running high and seriously 5 tear filled stars! This book was everything and more! Ash’s story can’t be missed! The love and devotion in this man is amazing!

One night, one time, one second can change it all! Everything in the blink of an eye gone! But even when all hope is lost and plans change it could mean the beginning of something beautiful!

Now I loved Reputation but Redemption just blew me away! Ash is such an amazing person! He had so much love for all those around him and did his best to be his best! But Taylor’s heart is what really captured me! She is such a strong person even when she didn’t know it but she always saw the best in people and made the most out of everything! They were the perfect match and complimented each other perfectly!

I also have to say that the people of Carmel Cove have captured my heart and after reading what Sharp had to say I can’t wait for more of this amazing town!

If you've read Reputation you'll have met Ash before. Like me you probably wouldn't have liked him very much. He came across as a manipulator and a but of a bully. So to say I was intrigued by the prospect of his story was an understatement.

Ash's story doesn't creep up on you it smacks you in the face. I never saw before just how broken my beautiful Ash was. The struggles were hard to read but they made the victories all the sweeter. Taylor is the best friend you want on your side. With a fantastic supporting cast of characters, some of whom we'll meet in future books.

This is a book that not only entertains but hopefully like me you'll take a pause and look around at friends and family. A story of love strength and forgiveness. Well done Rebecca on an amazing story.

Five emotional stars for Taylor and Ash 💜!!!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is the first book I've read by Dr. Rebecca Sharp and only I can say is that I really loved it!

Her writing style is beautiful that her words touch your soul.

"Redemption" is a sad, heartbreaking but also a beautiful contemporary romance with sister's best friend trope.

Taylor and Ash's relationship isn't easy from the beginning but like every other true love, they need to fight for it.

If you're looking for an emotional romance story, then this is a perfect book for you!

The only thing worse than an addiction was an addiction to something you couldn’t have.”

I’m going to hold my hands up and admit that I hadn’t read REPUTATION, so I went into this one completely blind. That didn’t matter though. I jumped straight into REDEMPTION and felt like I had known these characters forever. Ash and Taylor’s story was so beautifully written and I quickly fell in love with Rebecca Sharps words, and I will now be adding her previous books to my ever growing list!

This is my second book by this author and I must say, I have enjoyed both of these books.
I was beyond excited to read Ashton Tyler’s story. I was waiting for Ashton’s story because lord he was an ass in the first book and boy was this book worth it.
Redemption is suspenseful, angsty, emotional and sexy AF.
Taylor…gosh she is such a compassionate person and I loved her strength.
Dr. Rebecca Sharp has written two beautiful characters. This book had me hooked
