Okay... The story started out with promise. A wolf tribe from the west or something has their wolves inside them locked away and they need a stone to free them. They pick a girl who speaks like she is 9 years old, to save them.
On the way this girl child hears a wolf in distress and goes to save it. Turns out it's an him. Her wolf doesn't even stir at him. In both his animal and in human form. We meet his human form completely naked. He seemed like someone who could be an annoying little brother.
Comes the sister even before we see her, her wolf is awake and claimed her. Mine. I'm like yes... okay. And throughout their encounter (mind you the first wolf man is still here) their wolves touch and are instantly aware they're mates. But then after some goofing around the sister Ashley is there with her and her brother(the first injured wolf who spent the night with her btw in pelt), who is all upset because apparently she's his mate.
This is where I'm furious... no. No. The guy wolf begins to preen like a peacock muscle all rippling and asks our MC if she's sure he is not her mate. And what happens. Her wolf is now like... mine. And she has two mates. Siblings. I'm furious. I was excited to read a lesbian shifter book. monogamy. werewolves. Pick one and move on. But no. It's two and to mess it up even more, they're Siblings.
I'm done!

This was weird. So the tagline is that this is a lesbian romance, but then the MC says she's attracted to a cis man? And ofc also his sister. And both of the siblings are her mate. What the fuck??? This was fucking weird.
Well.... There's no clear direction. We have a girl from a clan that can't shift unless they are chosen, and one person gets chosen every 7 years, and there is this ritual that must take place at an alter where this magic relic stone must be, but someone (probably coyotes) stole it, and now Akira (the likely last chosen) is on a quest (to coyote territory) to get the stone back. Okay, that's a good clear direction. But then we meet another group of wolves who are not limited by the ritual and stone. They can shift, and wouldn't you know it, two of those new wolves are Akira's mates, a first mate and second mate.
I don't like Akira... I think she's too weak minded to have been chosen by her village.
Well, there are other factors that can be considered spoilers that completely confuses me, so maybe this is where I should probably stop. Maybe if I read the other series with Danny, Reagan, and the others....
Also, lots of errors.
The story is different than many I have read. I'm not one to see out reading lesbian novels, byt this looks like it may lead up to one. No action in the book, and it's bisexual. Just letting others know.
Once every seven years one of the pack gets the chance to find their inner wolf. This time it is her turn but the winter stone is missing. What will she do? She will have to go to find it. See if she can

The voice for this novel is great. I wasn't bored reading and that's also a good thing. Unfortunately, everything else has issues. First, the book is badly edited. There are weird/difficult sentences all over and a lot of basic grammar errors, like "camp sight" rather than "camp site". The main character is an idiot who is simultaneously, hot, dumb and unliked by everyone in her village. She's determined to get her town's stolen property back from the coyote clan. How does she know they stole her property? Intuition from what I can tell by since she never gives any evidence. She believes they're the only shifter clan around, but within a week of leaving her home she meets other wolf shifters who look at her and say, "oh, you're from that village of people that can't shift without use of a stone". Oh, and they can all turn wolf by using little stone pendents. They can't teach her though because who really remembers how they learned to do something ten years ago. The last big issue I had was with the setting. I still don't know if this was in ancient times or modern day or where it was happening. The main character talked about eating nothing but elk jerky and setting up hide tents for her journey. They also use words like "khakis" and phrases like, "n to ope" which muddies up the idea of when this story was set. Also, I can't tell where this was set. The MC is named Akira. Everyone else is named things like Ashleigh, Aspen, and Danny (basically, the whitest white names you can think of).
Seriously... Something kept me reading and I did kinda enjoy my time in the story, but there was also so much pulling me out that I can't recommend it. 2 Stars.

I enjoyed the very bisexual wolf shifter story. I like the polyamorous representation, but I noticed a few grammatical issues that easily could’ve been fixed. There were some words that I felt that the author could’ve eliminated. I’m not the biggest fan of the narrator for the audiobook. I couldn’t help but notice the background noise. I recall seeing one reviewer saying that they had remind themself that these characters were adults and not children, and I can see why. I love the cover. I needed to read something gay and this book satisfied that.
Part 1 of a Trilogy, unconventional from the start but I expected that from Ms. Tape. The lead character in this series is Akira, a wolf shifter, unable to shift until she locates the missing Winter Stone. Wolves, coyotes and pumas...a rollercoaster ride with magic, action, death, complex emotions, love and twin (?) soul mates Aspen and Ashleigh. Like I said, Arizona is not conventional! I rooted for Ashleigh all the way and read without pause until the end. What surprises are in store, can't wait for Part 2. Highly recommend.
I rec'd a copy through Booksprout and this review is voluntary and un-biased.
Great read! I'm fairly new to Arizona's solo works I've read a few of her conwrites and enjoyed them this series is great it is FF and well written characters and story line! Will for sure check out the rest!
It was stolen. The least thought of person is volunteered to recover it. The one person they ignored and made fun of to the dismay of the young woman. Do they hope she fails or succeed? Enjoy!
I got so engrossed in this book that it was finished before I even realised. I love the characters and the story is fairly interesting with some cool ideas going for it.
This book was outstanding. The characters were phenomenal and their personalities were great. The storyline held together and flows well. It is a cliffhanger but highly recommend
I don't think I've never not finished a book before, so this is a first for me. TheAvidReader summed up everything wrong with this book nicely. I was so amped to find a f/f wolf shifter book, alas, this isn't one.
Omg I laughed so hard in this book sibling rivalry and so much more secrets mates first mate second mate a quest to let your wolf out if you like paranormal and suspense mystery and romance this is your book
Akira’s Tribe was given the ability to shift into wolves. But over time they less and less of them can shift. Now only a few have the wolf inside them. Only one is chosen every seven years to receive the honour of the change. Akita is chosen but something is wrong, someone has stolen the sacred Winter Stone. Without it the ceremony can not happen. The tribe comes to t6e conclusion that the coyote clan has stolen the precious stone. Akira though filled with trepidation, sets off to bring back the stone. She.bravely faces the unknown and the adventure ahead of her.
This is an exceptional paranormal adventure. It is filled with amazing characters that you become attached to. The storyline weaves action, adventure, friendship, love, betrayal and brutality as it tells the story of one girls search for her inner wolf. The action scenes are detailed ad descriptive allowing the feeling of terror and shock to slip through. The dialogue is extremely well done allowing the emotions to flow and love to grow. The story is filled with great descriptions of the scenery allowing you to imagine the cold and winters landscape. Shifters are the stars of this drama but other magical creatures and items are also included. It is an epic tale worth reading.

This is the story about Akira, a wolf shifter who can't shift, who is on a journey to find the winter stone. This is a wonderful story. I loved the story line and the plot and it is very cleverly written. Love the characters and how developed they are and the interactions with each other. Can't wait to see what is in store for them next. Recommend reading.

Wolf's Whisper was an enjoyable read about Akira, a wolf shifter who can't shift, who is on a journey to find the winter stone. Early in her journey she stumbles upon a pack of wolf shifters, who actually have the ability to shift. Coincidently, Akira ends up finding her mates, who happened to be brother and sister twins. There is plenty of tension between the twins as they fight over Akira. This seemed more like a love triangle rather than RH (but could be my incorrect interpretation on RH). Also in the pack are Danny and her 3 men, 2 wolfs and a human. It’s was great to learn the different personalities of all the different characters and how they fit in together. Plenty of fighting action, death, blood and magic. No steamy scenes in this book, but I assume it’s setting up for book 2. I'm looking forward to reading the second one.
The tribe chose Akira to be the Winter Wolf this time. She HAD to find the Winter Stone to make it happen. So, she headed East to find it and the Coyotes. Without the Winter Stone, they are all trapped for another seven years in human form. Akira’s line will die out. On the way, she meets six others who can change into their wolves. They become a pack! She also found two mates…twins… boy and girl. But, they are having issues with sharing. They run across enemies and have to fight to defend themselves. One enemy, in particular, has the secret to unlocking Akira’s wolf and it seems those in her pack have secrets of their own. Whom can she trust? What are the secrets? Will she finally unlock her wolf without the Winter Stone? This book ends in a cliff hanger! It is a good read and a great storyline! As her duty as the next Guardian, Akira embarks on a journey to retrieve the Winter Stone, which had been stolen by the Coyotes. On her journey she encounters an injured wolf in a trap, who she helps and shares what little rations she has. What she doesn’t realise is that this is no ordinary wolf and his friends/pack at not too far behind him. Unexpectedly Akira will find her mate, or rather mates within this pack. Whilst her journey is delayed with the new arrivals, Akira doesn’t stop thinking about the next steps to find the Winter Stone. She will battle an internal dilemma of which mate she should choose Ashleigh or Aspen.
This is an inspiring take on shifters and captivated me from beginning to end. The characters are unique with a wonderful pack dynamic. Akira meets her soulmate(s) while on a quest for her village during the winter. This story is so well written that I felt the cold bite of winter just like Akira. You can feel Akira’s conflicted emotions and struggle as she finds her soulmates while on her quest and her goal becomes unclear. This book has humor, action, suspense, and romance. Arizona’s narrative is excellent and leaves you wanting more and more. Can’t wait for the next book in this series.

This book was amazing. The plot had me wanting more. Every time I said I would read up to a certain chapter, I would always read on. I could not get enough of the characters and the drama that came their way. Ashleigh and her friends had perfect teamwork and a never ending bond and her relationship with Akira was something you would wish for. Overall it was quite an interesting story and I highly recommend you read it to join in on the fantastic and emotional journey of Akira with her two mates and friends.
The Clan lost their ability to shift and once every seven years one of the clan is granted the ability to shift but they need the Winter stone to do it. Akira, a wolf shifter, is the chosen one that year but the stone was stolen before she could let her animal free. Akira is on a mission to find the stolen Winter stone and along the way she finds her mates. This is a unique shifter story and I really enjoyed it. I look forward to reading the rest of the series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
I'm so please the serials we're put together and created one book.
The story is unique, shifters not being able to shift, and is very engaging. The characters are easy to connect with and I'm so glad I had the pleasure of reading their story. Akira is sassy, brave and confident and made a brilliant MC. There were highs and lows that I felt right along with the characters. It was an emotional rollercoaster, but one I'd gladly ride again. This book will definitely leave you wanting more!
Wolf's Whisper by Arizona Tape is an awesome story that I was able to read. This is book number one in this awesome start to a brand new series that I have loved reading and can not wait to read the next book. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about fantasy and paranormal romances in their stories.

I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this book. To be clear, I am not new to this author, and the other books I have read by her I have also enjoyed. However, I don't tend to read many books about lesbians, and so this genre was rather new to me. Overall, I really liked the plot and the characters. And I am looking forward to finding out exactly how the mate bonds end up being sorted out.
Akira is on a quest to find a relic for her village. This relic allows certain families to shift into their wolf. On the way she finds a wolf in a trap and saves him. He turns into a man and then his pack shows up. Him and his twin sister turn out to be Akira’s mates. But they don’t like sharing. They go on a journey filled with danger and answers to secrets. Can’t wait to read the next book.

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. Akira has been picked to be the Winter Wolf, but she has to find the Winter Stone that has been taken and she has to find it. If it is not recovered they are going to have to wait seven years to be able to change again. She goes to do this and she meets her soulmate that only makes things more complex. It is a good start to this series.
