Stephanie Kate Strohm is the author of Love a la Mode; Prince in Disguise; It's Not Me, It's You; That's Not What I Heard; The Date to Save; and Katy Keene: Restless Hearts. She grew up in Connecticut and attended Middlebury College in Vermont, where she was voted Winter Carnival Queen. Currently she lives in Los Angeles with her husband and son. Her middle-grade debut, Once Upon a Tide: A Mermaid's Tale, will be released in September.

I went into this book a bit blind as I’ve never watched Riverdale or Katy Keene. As such, it took me a bit of time to figure out the characters, but I think someone who was familiar would’ve happily jumped right into this “origin story”/prequel type of book. Stephanie Kate Strohm is an under appreciated YA author in my opinion. I have LOVED her other books and I think if I was more familiar with this series it might have been a higher star read for me. I won this book in a giveaway on her Instagram and was excited to read something I might otherwise not have picked up.

This book is truly amazing! It's amazing that you get read from multiple different peoples perspectives about the book and what was going on. Overall my favorite character was either Josie or Katy. Josie because she was on tour with her dad and she was a singer. Katy because she designs clothes that represent her and her style! You should definitely be yourself, and read this book!

Growing up, I didn't read the Archie comic books, but after reading the first several books of the Riverdale series and a periodic dabbling in the television series, I decided to take a side journey into the Katy Keene world. Restless Hearts was a quick, pure entertainment read for a Saturday afternoon, but I enjoy the Riverdale mysteries more.

Stephanie Kate Strohm shows us the origins of one of the most iconic characters in the Archieverse.
it was great to see these characters in their early days.
I loved this story.
