✓ Age Gap (main heroine is 8 years older than hero)
✓ Forbidden Romance (student-professor relationship)
✓ Trigger Warning ⚠️: yes, domestic violence
⇲ Their relationship was very fast paced and felt unrealistic at times. Even though they knew each other for four years, their relationship was strictly professional until they ran into each other on the college campus. Leo was infatuated with Kora since his senior year of high school and seeing her four years later it changed to love. Their relationship was an instalust-to- instalove which is the vain of my romance reading experience. Basically, I did not really feel the love at all and the connection was physical > emotional throughout the book.
➟ 🔥 Steam factor 🔥 moderate. For a taboo romance, it had a lot of lustful sexual tension that turned into sex scenes. They were written okay but some of the MC dialogues were cringy and I just checked out at times when audio listening to it.
➟ Relationship Development: lacked, greatly
➟ OM Drama: Yes. Kora's abusive ex is present in this book and continues to try to manipulate her. Leo finally steps in and helps Kora get her freedom from him.
➟ Recommend: Yes
➟ Secondary Characters: Liked them. I liked the banter and friendship dynamic between Finn, Slater, and Leo!

“I don’t like that smile.” He was wearing his usual uniform, jeans and a black T-shirt that showed off a bit of chest tattoo that usually drove the females wild.
“Well, that’s offensive.” He grinned harder. “Don’t you think that’s offensive, Slater?”
“Gotta be honest bro, I’m wounded on your behalf.” Slater put a hand against his chest and shook his head.
“Besides, you have a sexy smile.”
“Dude.” Finn held out his fist, “That came from the heart, thank you for this moment.”
I put a hand on her shoulder and very gently leaned in and whispered. “A-minus.”
“What?” She jerked back. “Are you sure you don’t mean A-plus?”
“Oh, she wants extra credit now?” I teased. Her scowl was adorable.
“I did good.”
“Good isn’t great though, is it?” She stomped her foot. Holy shit, I was keeping this woman forever. She just didn’t know it yet.
