I’m starting off this review telling you something that’s possibly a negative thing, or at least it was for me, and it pains me but it’s the only way my review will make sense. So, the beginning of this book confused me, and when I say beginning, I mean like the first 20%ish of the book. It starts with a prologue that focuses on a tragic incident. Then we jump to present day five years later, and it’s tragic again but different people … and it rolls into more people being introduced and I had to stop and read the blurb LOL You see, I’m not that kind of reader. More often than not, I’m reading a book because someone said I had to or the cover grabs me or something, but I rarely read anything about the book myself before I begin. I know, ridiculous, but I like going in blind. This is one of those times that was not helpful LOL Anywho, all of this rambling is just to say I think the beginning could have been tighter. There’s a lot going on everywhere and I almost gave up. I know now what it all means but I didn’t know then so …
Once the story began to make sense to me and what was happening sunk in, I have to say it felt good reading this story. The story shows that growth from tragedy is possible and sometimes you have to walk thru fire to get to the rain. That probably makes little sense to most people but it’s how tragedy feels in my head. Kade and Hayley were meant for each other before they even knew it. That shinned thru the story brightly. Their chemistry was undeniable, and their story will pull at your heart in all the ways. After al the beginning shenanigans, I have to say that I enjoyed myself reading this story and it entertained me. I was definitely never bored LOL The sexy times were super sexy, the #feels of the story were in abundance and so was the humor.

Ryleigh Sloan has managed to do the impossible within the Cocky Hero Club. She managed to write a story that felt uniquely its own and not something derived from the world of other authors. There wasn't unnecessary name dropping of the characters from British Bedmate just so there was a connection that justified Risky Rockstar's place within the Cocky Hero Club. Bridgett, Simon and their family felt completely right within this story and a part of Haley's family without cheapening their friendship and connection just so it could tie back to Vi and Penelope's book. Ms Sloan took those characters and made them her own in the most elegant way and you wouldn't know they were hers.
Risky Rockstar was my very first venture into Ms Sloan's writing and while only at 19% of the book, I went and bought the rest of her books. Because her writing was THAT good. The story flowed so seamlessly and I LOVED the fact that she took her time to set up her characters and the world they inhabit, even if it resulted in a long book and some serious slow burn. But I really didn't mind.
The way she started by setting up the story and subsequently Kade's character and his tragic past and then elegantly moved with a 5 year time jump to set up Haley's character and her struggles, was simply amazing. The author didn't rush things just to get to the good part. It even took quite a few chapters for the main characters to actually meet let alone get together. She took her time to slowly build up the very real, very flawed people she was introducing us to, characters that had real, raw insecurities and fear that almost drowned them and the hope, love and happiness in the little things. Even the side characters felt fleshed out and well rounded. I later realised that some actually have books of their own like Keller and Maddie in Drop Beat and Kevin and Claire in Cliché, but that's not always the case with authors. Most just name drop characters from their other books in a kinda "wink" to their longtime fans. But here, they had actual purpose and helped the story move forward along with providing real support and insight into things. The same can be said in regards to Bridgett from British Bedmate.
I'm kinda rambling but I was so pleasantly surprised by my latest venture into the CHC world. I loved the connection and chemistry of Kade and Hayley. I felt their struggle and pain and utter desolation. I watched them make mistakes, stumble and fall but I was rooting for them so hard when they struggled to get up and dust themselves off. They felt THAT real to me.
Risky Rockstar is a book you NEED to read and one of the most amazing additions to the Cocky Hero Club. Now I'm off to read more of Ms Sloan's words.

"The realization that I love Hayley wraps around me like a warm blanket and settles deep in my bones. I shouldn't be surprised. I think I've loved her since the first moment we worked together, since she gave me my love of music back."
5 Sing With Me Stars!!! Ryleigh has given me my love for rock stars back!
Hayley is a huge singer, massively huge. And being in the spotlight is starting to take it's toll on her emotional and mentally. Not to mention she's dealing with a horrible past relationship. The only thing keeping her motivated is her love of music and well super hot Kade doesn't hurt either. Kade isn't your typical rock star, he's a sweetheart and totally down to earth. These two are put together to work on a music project and together they realize their may be more to them than just music....
This book will give you all the feels! Hayley and Kade are so sweet and adorable together. Their stories will pull at your heart and you will fall in love along with them! Not your typical rock star romance!

I really enjoyed this book. Hayley and Kade were absolutely perfect for each other. Both of these characters were dealing with feelings from past relationships that they truly needed to let go of but until they could each find that closer for those circumstances, it was hard for them to move forward.
Both of them being stars in their own right helped make them better suited to one another. They each understood the struggles of stardom. Hayley was always wondering why someone wanted to be with her and after her last horrendous relationship, her trust levels were very low. Kade carried around the guilt from his ex-girlfriends actions and this totally closed him off from relationships in general but it also hurt his writing talent.
Both Hayley and Kade had a lot they needed to sort through before they could truly make their relationship work. One thing is for sure, these two had fantastic chemistry. I do wish we would have had more of them together in the book and that the epilogue was further into the future to see how they were handling life.
I really liked the way Bridget was woven into the story. It didn't feel forced like she was just being mentioned because of the Cocky Hero Club connections. She was a great friend and sounding board to Hayley when she needed it most.

One of the things I love about the Cocky Hero World is finding new authors and once again I have found another amazing author to follow. This is the first book I have read by Ms Sloan but it certainly won’t be the last, her writing is strong and the characters easy to relate to.
Risky Rockstar may be part of the world I love but this author has managed to write a story that would be loved even if you no nothing about the world it’s connected too. There is a connection to British Bedmates but only because we get to see Bridgett, Simon and the family as friends of Haley.
Hayley and Kade are both dealing with feelings from a past relationship and neither will be able to move on until they learn to leave the past in the past. Writing another captivating, emotion-filled, amazing read.
Hayley and Kade are so hot. And together they're explosive. I loved them from the beginning.
Both living through difficult situations that are hard to talk about in life, but Ms. Sloan did an amazing job with difficult topics.
We met Hayley in Cliche and I'm so glad to find out more about this beautiful rockstar. Kade has made previous appearances as a side character in her Heartbeat Series, and I loved him then, I love him more now.
Overall an amazing read but beware the rollercoaster of feels!

OMG!!! OHHH MYYYY GAWDDDD Ryleigh!!! What did I just read?? Risky Rockstar is Kade and Hayley's story, and there aren't enough stars to give this book, that's how much I loved it!! It made me feel it all, I swooned, I loved, I cried...I got angry. There was even an occasion or 2 that I wanted to smack some sense into both Hayley and Kade, I just wanted them to be honest with each other and talk about things!! That's where a misunderstanding comes into play because of a slimy little weasel and it tears them apart. Because of past hurts, and some low self esteem on Hayley's part they don't talk about things, so things escalate. You'll have to read this awesome book from Ryleigh Sloan to find out if the truth comes out, and if Kade and Hayley can get back what they had....you'll want to read Back Beat, and Drop Beat...at least Drop Beat, and Cliche too...hell, just read everything Ryleigh Sloan, you'll fall in love with all her characters and her words!! Can't wait to see what she has in store for us next!!

This is my favourite book yet! Even if I was swearing at the main characters a time or two.
I had all the feels reading this gem.
Risky Rockstar you get the LP-45 guys, Blair's BF Maddie from Back Beat & Drop Beat, the Cliché couple Kevin & Claire, they all get an appearance.
Kade is to die for. Hayley is his natural match in every way.
They both have a rocky past, that past is threatening their future, it was a risky move when Hayley began co-labing with LP-45, but all seems good, until it isn't, something needs to change before everything they've built gets destroyed.
Triggers: Suiside, depression, mental health.

Ryleigh has done it again!
Kade and Hayley will live on in your minds for a long time after you read this book. I was not able to put it down or pick another book up after it. Reconnecting with Kevin and Claire and Keller and Maddie was amazing.
Kade was downright sexy and did not disappoint and Hayley, well she turned out to be a wildcat!
I loved everything about this book and am so thrilled I was able to read it! It is a wonderful addition to the Cocky Bastard books.

Two damaged people, both rockstars, have some serious professional chemistry, and personal too. But that damage has to be dealt with before Kade and Hayley can be together in a real way. Will their demons be too big of an obstacle to get past?
These two...damn, so much pain, so many issues. I felt for them, but I loved how they finally grew and got through them. This is one hell of a rockstar story and a fabulous addition to the Cocky Hero Club.

This was my first time reading this author and I enjoyed it so much!! I have a soft spot for rockstar romances, and I love how different this one was! Our lead, Kade, isn't a coked out man-whore, but is actually an emotional down-to-earth guy who genuinely cares about his fans and the woman he falls in love with. I love how he was the more sensitive one out of the two! Especially regarding everything he went though in his last relationship, and even though he obviously had his insecurities, he was just so *good.* which seems to be rare in romances these days.
As for Hayley, I adored the shit out of her as well. She's a famous rockstar in her own right, and the chemistry between her and Kade is FIRE from the get go. She has had her own relationship troubles too, so even though they both have romantic feelings for one another, her and Kade cultivate a truly beautiful friendship underneath everything else. And I loved the rawness of Hayley's struggle with intimacy. It was all just amazing! Plus all the banger between Kade and the bandmates were freaking amazing!!
I won't lie though, the first 15-20% confused me a bit, especially with the timelines. I may have missed something in the beginning, because I didn't realize that we jumped forward five years after the prologue. That being said though as soon as our main characters started interacting more, I truly became invested in this story! I will definitely be going back and reading the rest of this authors work!!

I love Hayley and Kade. This is a great book with all the feels also some pretty great side characters. And one of my favorite parts we get to see Kevin and Claire from a different point of view. 😍.Read it , read it immediately!

Hayley can hardly contain her emotions when it comes to Kade being so close to her. Kade is more than just eye candy though, his voice almost bends to her will and his passion for music matches her own...together they are driven and want to hit the high note together.
Their relationship however could be risky if something was to go off key, that could cause them both to slip and leave one of them standing alone in the spotlight with the words failing to come…
I’m not worried that Kade is a risk. I’m worried I am.
Kade & Hayley…<3 A show stopper performance that you will beg to see again and again! I love Kade and Hayley! They are perfect together there is no denying it! They start off as friends and already you can see the tell tale signs that this could be your new favourite song. They are a strong couple, leave themselves open and vulnerable for each other. I love the fun that they bring and the passion...oh the passion...that will leave you shouting “encore!”
Kade does just kiss you with his mouth when he kisses, he kisses you with his soul.
From the first beats into their song you become lost within the lyrics that are Kade & Hayley’s story. Feel their crescent touches with each dip of the notes, singing along to their highs and feeling your own tears fall with the low soul deep verse.
I loved every moment of this story. Ryleigh always writes from the heart and never shies away from adding those details that make this story true and believable in our minds. With beautiful written heartfelt moments, hilarious scenes and words that sing out loud, you will have this story on repeat!

They start off as friends and already you can see the tell tale signs that this could be your new favourite song. They are a strong couple, leave themselves open and vulnerable for each other. I love the fun that they bring and the passion...oh the passion...that will leave you shouting “encore!”

From the first beats into their song you become lost within the lyrics that are Kade & Hayley’s story. Feel their crescent touches with each dip of the notes, singing along to their highs and feeling your own tears fall with the low soul deep verse.
I loved every moment of this story. Ryleigh always writes from the heart and never shies away from adding those details that make this story true and believable in our minds. With beautiful written heartfelt moments, hilarious scenes and words that sing out loud, you will have this story on repeat!

Ryleigh Sloan is a new to me author, and I'll definitely read more of her in the future. The beginning of this story was slow going because I was confused with so much thrown at me too early, but once it hit its stride, I never looked back. I'm one of those girls who believes in soul mates (though I don't have one nor am I looking) so Kade & Hayley screamed soulmates even though it took them a cool minute to come face to face. It's a slow burn situation at its finest, not to mention said slow burn gave it a more realistic feel to it all. Kade has a tragic past that sticks close to him while Hayley has her own struggles that mess with her, and it was emotional on both parts since things didn't automatically change because they met, nope, each had to come to grips with their past & struggles because the flaws born from those issues didn't help when it came to building something together. I do believe that's what sets Ryleigh Sloan's story apart from other stories I've read in this trope which makes it original. Risky Rockstar is definitely a book that y'all need in your lives so hit those one click buttons! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I adored Hailey and my heart breaks for everything she goes through and continues to go through as she fights the demons that were left behind ,she's so much stronger than she believes she is and she has a sass that you can't help but be drawn too, and Kade ....hot damn he sure makes the temperature rise, he's a rockstar with a sensitive side and boy does he love hard, the chemistry between them is off..the...charts! Discovering an author like Ryleigh Sloan is the reason why I love reading the Cocky Hero Club books so much. Risky Rockstar is one of the best books I've read this year and has made me a fan of the outstanding writing of Mrs. Sloan. Her character and world-building are superb. The story is unexpected, refreshing and flows seamlessly.
The music and concert descriptions are out of this world, and truly make almost feel like you were there. From the beginning, Ryleigh Sloan makes you feel what her characters are experiencing. The reader-story connection is mind-blowing. If that is not true talent, I don't know what is.

This is a wonderful addition to this amazing series and is Kade and Hayley’s journey. These two are both musicians who collaborate, and the chemistry between them is off the charts. Both characters have barriers up from past relationships, which had left them both a tad vulnerable, in order to move on together. When both of their pasts threatening their relationship, will this be the end for them? This is a well written flawless story which is an emotional roller coaster throughout, and is intense, humorous, entertaining, and with misunderstandings and heartbreak, which all lead to an addictive and all-consuming read, which pulls at the heartstrings. I look forward to reading more form this talented author whose work I highly recommend for all.

Wow! I wish there was a more eloquent word that comes to mind than wow. Risky Rockstar, with a tie-in to British Bedmate, was a beautifully written story about two rockstars who had a lot of emotional baggage. Hayley and Kade were well-matched, both on and off the stage. But their emotional baggage kept them from truly moving forward. They were fortunate to have good friends to help put things into perspective and finally unpack all that baggage. Ms. Sloan wrote some very power words of heartache and love. She made this book in the Hero World unique and multidimensional.

Risky Rockstar is part of the Cocky Hero Club which is inspired by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward's British Bedmate. You don't have to have read British Bedmate to enjoy this one. I struggled with this one in the beginning. When I started reading, I was confused and disconnected from the characters but it turned out to be a good read. Both Kade and Hayley have tragic things happen to them. Hayley is a popular signer. She is talented, sexy, and sweet. Kade's band is doing a collaboration with her. Kade isn't the typical rock-star. He's one of the good guys. These two have great chemistry. They have obstacles to overcome.

Risky Rockstar is one that will have you on the edge of your seat from the very first chapter. Your mind is left playing guessing games and has your anxiety levels on high alert. A story of tragedy and overcoming obstacles. Kade and Hayley had me a little disconnected at the start but that was probably more to do with my head trying to work out the plot before it was all laid out. However at about a quarter of the way through the chemistry and the connection hit hard and had me captivated by every word and every emotion. An amazing story that takes you on a roller coaster of emotions and has you craving more of this author and her characters.

I love this series and how connected they are even though they each can be read as standalone books. I will say anyone reading this book would benefit from reading Cliche first to get the back story/alternate view point from Hayley POV.
Ryleigh had me crying in the prologue, and it wasn't pretty, but thankfully I knew I'd get their HEA. This author had become a favorite of mine and its because of how vested I get in her character from the start! Narration was fabulous and I just love anything Emma narrates. Aaron was great as well!

I loved this book, the characters were great,the world building was fantastic and the story kept me interested.
Kade Tennick wasn't the normal type Rockstar that trashed hotel rooms etc, but seemed like a really humble guy, who just happened to be gifted with a voice that could charm the knickers of a nun.
Hayley Stephens is a star in her own right has been treated terribly by her ex, and I could have happily given him a swift kick up the backside.
When She meets Kade you can feel the chemistry and Kade can't get her out of his mind.
It was inevitable that they would get together and although there are bumps along the way i felt that they belonged together.
All in all a great book.

Wow, just wow! This is my first time reading a Ryleigh Sloan story and I am floored! This is an emotional story with possible triggers for people, but it was not written gratuitously, it came from a place of honestly and truth. Life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows there are things that can weigh you down and make life hard.
Hayley and Kade are famous but flawed, their scars run deep. But they also believe in love and want it so badly.
Take this trip with these two characters, it’s a beautiful trip, there are some bumps along the way but it only makes for a better story. Ryleigh Sloan has written an amazing story and a great addition to
the Cocky Hero World.

This book is amazing.. and definitely worth 5 stars.. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟.. I love the story line.. it is so perfect..

Hayley and Cade what a backstory to their romance.
Want to talk about the intensity , the feels...every single one of them, my heart was being pulled at all different angles.

I always look forward to reading a story by Ryleigh. I love to see the journey of the couples. Always fun to also learn more about the side characters. Rockstar's are always a Bonus.

Ryleigh Sloan was awfully FRISKY writing RISKY ROCKSTAR! Kade & Hayley were hot hot hot! Absolutely explosive connection & their story was one for the books.
Be ready for it to pull on your heartstrings, probably rip it into tiny pieces in the process. But fair warning, it’s worth it! She does not disappoint.

HOLY COW RYLEIGH!!!! This book was absolutely amazing!!! I cannot give it enough stars!!! This book gave me so many feels, I can't even explain it, and I love a good book that makes me have lots and lots of feels! I absolutely love Hayley and Kade!! I highly recommend reading this book, you will love it and won't be able to put it down!
