Omega Noel, having struck out repeatedly in the love department, makes a foolish wish on a falling star. He wishes to find his true love. Sounds simple enough, but maybe he should have specified that his true love should be human.
Wolf is nothing more than his name implies: a lone alpha wolf. Packless, he is driven only by his most base desires. Eat, sleep, hunt. But without a mate, he’s been wandering the woods for years, aimless and untethered. When he feels an unnatural pull, he follows it blindly, straight into civilization and a life he’s never thought to dream of.
When Vale Valley’s magic brings this unlikely pair together, it gives new meaning to watching what you wish for.
An Omega’s Wish is book ten of Season Four of the popular multi-author series, Vale Valley, a small town open to everyone who needs love and a home. An Omega’s Wish is a sweet shifter mpreg romance with a dash of knotty heat and a pinch of fairy-tale magic. Oh yeah, and a baby. Because who doesn’t love babies?
Trisha Linde spends all her time immersed in books, both reading and writing, mainly because she lives where it’s too cold to do anything else, and what better way to keep warm than with a hot book. The first time she read mpreg, it was love at first sight, and there’s no turning back now.
When she gets older, she will likely invite strangers over for dinner, and you can bet your ass there will be sequins.
This was book 10 in the "Vale Valley Season 4" series. Noel who we met in Season 3 is lonely and feeling like he is always a bridesmaid and never the groom. After leaving Finn and Pierce wedding he wishes on a star while driving home he hits what he think is a dog turns out to be a wolf. Wolf who comes to in a strange house and human turns out this was his first shift he has been living as a lone wolf. This was a pretty good read Wolf is reliving the past lives of his ancestors and one lost his mate and child in childbirth. I also liked that Noel was close to Finn's family he worked with one of his sister's Ella who told them about the myth. I liked her and I can't wait to read her story. This was a good read with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
Tropes: 💜 Omegaverse + Shifters 💚 Fated mates 🩵 Small town
“Fated love! So… what does it feel like?” Wolf answered for the both of us. “It feels like home.”
(ENG) This short story is absolutely brimming with magic and I just loved it! We've all wished upon a star at some point. Well, Noel gets his wish! It's not quite what he expected, but he's still happy because Wolf is a gorgeous creature that makes us fall in love with him from the first moment. This is such a super cute book. It's perfect for when you need to read something light and feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
To my ratings: A 3,5* is clicked with a 4* but in review marked as 3,5*:
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile’ or ‘Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the the kids’ series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or ‘Liberty’ from Seth King), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader (2-3 times a year), it's like a B
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (I wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok) It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
Can an omega's wish for his soul-mate break a generations old curse? In Vale Valley, absolutely!
What a hauntingly, sweet love story. I loved it! Magic in Vale Valley is back in full force. Watch as a legend comes to life. Old friends make appearances. There is a quirky Nana, a cat-zilla, loyal friends, a tender, steamy romance, and a baby. What's not to love! This is Wolf and Noel's romance. Noel wishes on a falling star, to find his soul-mate. He never expects to hit him with his car! Wolf awakens in human form. He has lived his entire life as a wolf, but has a magical access to the human memories of all his ancestors. He knows Noel is the reincarnation of the first omega in this saga. As their attraction grows into love, their shared past recurs in nightmares & restored memories. Can their love break the cursed cycle? Well, this IS Vale Valley after all. HEA is assured. You will love this book! This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.
Just as I suspected... I read Ella's story last February! I know I read this book out of order as the mood hits me, but it would probably be a good idea to read the books written by a specific author in the order in which they are written, that way you don't end up like I did this time! While enjoying Wolf and Noel's (which is my daddy's name) story, I kept thinking... why does it feel like I have read about Ella before... *SMH*
Anywho! Cute story with a bit of angst that should make us all appreciate the miracles of modern medicine! It may not be perfect, but it sure beats the heck out of what we had a hundred years ago!
Well written story and well developed characters! A wish. At first I was terrified! Then, I was unhappy! Then, happy and terrifying again! I was, also, very sad. Hoping for a happy ending!
What a cool and unique story! I really enjoyed it. The author is new to me and I’m impressed with how well they crafted this plot and made such fun magic come to life.
