Her Vampire Prince

Cari
How hard is it to die?
Don’t ask me. I’ve been failing at it for a year.
My father lost his life in a fatal car wreck while I walked away without a scratch.
Now I taunt that bastard Death on a daily basis.
Volcano hopping. Street racing. Skydiving.
But then Death comes for me.

Hadrian
For centuries, I’ve been a dead vampire walking.
No warmth, no feeling. No reason to live.
Then she bursts into my life.
A mortal daredevil with a carefree laugh.
She literally falls from the sky and into my arms.
She’s got a death wish and I’ve got a hunger only she can slake.

She’s my prey, but she wants to leave?
No way. She’s mine. And I’m never letting her go.

My first read of Ines Johnson and I am intrigued by her world build.

Hadrian's story is well laid out. There is no unnecessary information or repetition which I have found of late with some paranormal reads. This character is extremely dominate and possessive which are some of my favorite MC attributes.

Carignan on the other hand was to submissive to quick for my taste. Her storyline was interesting but she was not a very strong FMC. For her to be an adrenaline junky she gave up far too much too fast to a total stranger.

For this to include BDSM it was quite bland when it came to intimacies. These scenes were not very descriptive other than the process of tying knots and the type of apparatus used. There is certainly a feel of loss with this not being included.

I will definitely continue the series. I am hoping to find stronger FMCs and more detailed scenes in the future reads.

Happy reading! DD

Interesting take on this collection. I thoroughly enjoyed sweatpants of this story. They were well thought out and had me riveted to what was going to happen next. However, there were other parts that I struggled this such as the villain of the story. The timeline didn't make sense for them to be behind the hero rescuing the heroine and the reasons why they did it considering the main characters hadn't met each other. Later events they knew each other but it just didn't make sense, especially knowing that the heroine had a penchant for high risks in order to feel alive.

Still, this is a great series and I'm liking all the various authors giving their own spin on the series.

Some typos. It was a short and quick story that actually could have been flushed out more and I would have happily read another 100 pages. But great for what it was. Short and smutty

This story was not as exciting as I expected. The FMC was so immature. I don't know how a centuries old Vampire could have fallen so in love with her so fast. Much of the story came from inside Cari's head. It felt like there was more tell than show. Indelicate Reviews by DD said exactly what I felt.

I thought that this was a wonderful read and another great entry into this series. I loved Hadrian and Cari. These two were so intense and man, their chemistry was so hot and intense that it just about burned through the pages of this book. I felt that these two made a couple that was interesting and compelling. Both these characters were complex and I truly enjoyed getting to know them as their story unfolded and their relationship evolved. This was a simply terrific read and I am already looking forward to the next book in this highly entertaining and enjoyable series. Of my own accord I am posting a sincere review.

*First time reading author

Her Vampire Prince is part of the Midnight Doms, and I couldn't put it down. Hadrian and Carignan are the perfect couple!! I loved Cari; she is such a daredevil and is willing to do just about anything to feel again. But when Hadrian saves her she finally finds something that makes her feel safe.

Hadrian has lived many lives and has only loved one woman. But when he starts to fall in love with Cari, he wonders if he has ever known true love. But he has to wonder what Cari will do when she finds out what he truly is.

I will forever be a fan of Ines. Her Vampire Prince is a wonderfully written story that I will reread again and again!

The only positive thing I can say about this book is that it is short.

Just terrible. No matter how much I enjoy reading trashy vampire romance, this was painfully awful.

This was a spectacular read and a first for me by this author. I am familiar with the series Midnight Doms as I have read Renee Rose and Lee Savino before. This book had me hooked from start to finish and once the action kicked in I could not put it down. In this installment of the Midnight Doms series we meet Hadrian, centuries old vampire who has been mourning the death of his sire and lover Domitia for two hundred years. He feels responsible for her death and has not allowed himself to move on. He unexpectedly meets Carignan, also known as Cari, a young woman who is experiencing survivor’s guilt from an accident that took her father’s life but left her unscathed. Cari has been desensitized to feelings and life in general. She seeks adrenaline-inducing activities, constantly placing her life and well being at risk in order to eradicate the numbness she is under. In different ways both are dealing with the loss of a loved one and in each other they find that spark of life that each was missing. Their first encounter is an eye opener for them, Cari starts to feel emotions immediately and Hadrian is drawn to Cari. He fights the attraction for a mere mortal and tries to convince himself that he still belongs to Domitia. It isn’t too long before they are under each other’s charm and their joint survivor’s guilt is a thing of the past. Unfortunately for them someone is after Cari and Hadrian will stop at nothing to find out who and what wants to harm her. I absolutely enjoyed this story. It has delicious steamy scenes, wonderful characters and a plot twist that took me by surprise. I loved seeing a few characters from previous books make cameo appearances. I cannot wait to read the next book of the series!

DNF @ 43%

I'm bored of this book and I'm losing patience.

It took 40% of the book for anything important to happen with the two love interests.

Hadrian is still not over his vampire lover/sire even after two centuries of her being dead. That got on my nerves.

Cari is telling from her father's death, where she left the car crash unscathed and now she's trying to feel sprung again besides numbness.

Half the book is about Hadrian talking/monologuing about his time torturing people centuries ago and his time with his old lover.

The other half was about Cari doing dangerous acts to get something again and her describing everything in great detail.

So, all in all, for me, this book was a flop and I'm moving on.

great vampire adventure

Oh my god this is such a fun book. I was in the mood for a good paranormal romance, and this had everything it was fun. It was a little bit of a mystery some humor. Cari had a rough year, was chasing feelings and had a fantastic meet cute with Hadrian. Hadrian, being a vampire is a long kind of hard life, but meeting Cari turns his life upside down. Their banter is so fun Carrie is so quirky and knows what she wants but when she is with Hadrian, it’s just so different than anything she’s ever experienced in her life and when he’s with Cari, it’s like a breath of fresh air. I absolutely love this book and I can’t wait to read other books in the series. I’m so glad they got their happily ever after.

An adrenaline rush of vampiric proportions. I loved the original series, and this offshoot brings my second favorite paranormal creature to the forefront. This book has it all, romance, intrigue, and the occasional splash of humor that makes the storyline realistic and endears the characters in your imagination. I particularly like that the original authors are inviting others to their world. In this case, it is a new to me author that I will be following. Great read, can’t wait till the next in the series!

Two “Damaged” Individuals find New Meaning!!

An adrenaline junkie, Carignan, who lost all feelings once her father was killed in a car accident. She jumps out of planes to “feel”. When her chute fails – she is saved by the neighboring vineyard owner – who also happens to be a vampire.

Hadrian watched his only love “walk into the sun” two centuries ago. Something about this death-defying neighbor stirs his back to life.

Touching, sexy and intriguing events make this a fabulous read. My first by this author, but not my last!!

Two broken souls, can they help each other heal from the guilt and the pain? The story was intense and while I enjoyed it, it was a bit difficult to read a few parts. I kept going and really ended up loving it more than I thought I would.

I really enjoyed this book, it had humour, intrigue and of course romance. I also like the links to characters on the first book by Lee Savino and Stasia Black, Lucius is always there in the background.
The world building and character development is good and I found myself really laughing at Viri's antics. Yep the support characters were great too.

An enjoyable sexy read.

★ Awakened ★

—>>> Hadrian’s whole being comes alive when he serendipitously catches a woman who falls out of the sky right into his arms. Failing to achieve her adrenaline high after a failed parachute jump, Cari’s blood begins to race for another reason entirely, finding herself safe and sound in a handsome stranger’s arms. When they find each other again, this time Hadrian can no longer deny what he felt for this tiny female, but he battles endless guilt and betrayal in his heart after losing his first love, his maker. They have so much in common and too much growing between them, and soon both come to terms with their past. There are dark issues of his maker’s treatment of Hadrian and his two blood brothers, who deal with their experiences in their own ways, so please be warned if they are potential triggers for you. I enjoyed the twists and turns presented in this story and the development of their hot chemistry and bond - looking forward to reading more of Gaius and Virius soon!

True love

Cari and Hadrian..... Both damaged by events in their lives, controlled and consumed by guilt and pain.
A moment of danger brings then together and the chemistry is intense. Though they try to fight it, they are brought together again by danger and heat.
Cari's life is in danger from another, and when all the links point back to Hadrian will he be able to save her or will their love be over?
Some BDSM, heat, chemistry, great characters, mystery, intrigue, danger and an love for the ages.

Great read

Cari has issues after the death of her father. She tries to fill that hole with dangerous adventures.
Hadrian is lonely and after a few centuries kind of tired of everything.

When these two meet, by accident or fate, both of their lives take a really interesting road.

A fun lovely read, that warms your heart.
