When the beloved community centre burnt down, Omega Casey knew he had to help, so he participated in the Bake Sale Auction, with the prize being a weekend away with him at a ski resort. It was way beyond his budget, but he’d always been a sucker for a good cause, and thought he might get a decent date out of it, even though most alphas seemed to be after one thing. He didn’t count on the winner being Brent, his big brother’s best friend and the man he’s lusted after for way too long. Things are about to get interesting on the ski slopes...
Brent
Alpha Brent had always kept his eyes on one prize only: growing his clients’ investment portfolios beyond all expectations. Love was just an inconvenient distraction, especially after the heartbreak he’d experienced in the past. When he bid on a plate of cookies and a date, he thought he’d just leave some cash behind for a good cause and go back to his regular life. What he didn’t know is that nothing would ever be the same again, especially since his date was his best friend’s introverted and gorgeous little brother.
Gingerbread Greetings is a best friend’s brother mpreg story featuring a jaded but sweet alpha, a sensitive omega, and tons of holiday spirit. So, put on your favorite cozy sweater, curl up with a cup of cocoa, and delve into Casey and Brent’s love story.
This was a reread for me. This was a book 3 in the "Bake Sale Bachelors" Casey is a shy awkward omega who has lusted after his brothers best friend for years. He participated in the community centers auction because he wants to help and because he worked there as a teacher in the summer. Brent is a hot sexy alpha who goes to the auction with a friend and makes a bed on some gingerbread cookies that turned out to be baked by his best friend Adam's little brother Brent. They agree to go on the weekend getaway as friends. This was a really good read both of these characters have been lusting after one another for awhile but Brent didn't want to ruin his friendship with Adam. Over the weekend they both think that the other isn't interested until Casey drinks too much and makes a pass at Brent. These two hook up and when they get home Casey's brother tells him that Brent isn't looking for anything long term and his feelings are hurt. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
this was adorable.. it was sweet and cute.. sometimes i wanted to smack them both haha.. but it was soo cute and i liked it a lot. very cute characters.. very cute storyline and i enjoyed the first two as well. plus it was fun having the brothers best friend in love with the little brother.. very good
I really wish Goodreads had half-stars. This isn't a 4 star read, nor is it a 3 star. It's 3.5. Even so, I'm rounding down instead of up because of things mentioned in my full review.
I liked Casey and Brent together well enough, I suppose, but as with the two stories before it, there’s very little character development, and almost no mention of backstories for any of the characters. Also like the others, there’s an epilogue that takes the two guys down the road a little. That was nice enough, I guess. Each book I’ve read so far has been written by different authors, none of which have shown a lot. There’s lots of telling, sure, but not showing. For that reason I’ve had a hard time connecting with any of the main characters. There’s also the issue of entirely too many !!!!, and lots and lots of winks and gulps. It was distracting.
Even so, I enjoyed the story okay.
I started this series after being interested in a more recent book (from season 3 or something?). I don’t like starting ‘seasons’ or ‘series’ without having read the ones before it, even if each book can be read as a standalone. So I went back to the beginning (I think?). With that being said, I think I’m going to stop here for now. I will no doubt finish them at some point, but when three books don’t blow me away, it’s time for me to find something else to read.

What a delicious addition to the Bake Sale Bachelors series! You will never look at gingerbread men the same again. I loved this feel-good book! It has an alpha in need of change, his best friend's younger brother, an unexpected romance, Christmastime magic, HEA and a baby. Who could ask for more. Oh, did I mention naughty, melt-in-your-mouth gingerbread men? Welcome back to the world where the bachelor bake sale auction is raising money to rebuild the community/day care center that was destroyed by fire. Bids are placed by how much you like both the cookies and the date package. Coming so close to Christmas, everything has a festive vibe. Casey's gingerbread men may look naughty, but taste divine. Casey has a stake in the auction being a success. He worked at the center. He has saved up to be able to offer an alpha a weekend get-away at a fancy ski resort. He just never expected the bid winner to be his long time crush (and his brother's best friend), Brent. Brent hasn't seen Casey for some years. Now he's a full grown man and so hot he sizzles. The attraction between them is off the charts, but they agree to remain friends, so they don't upset Casey's brother, Adam. Well, you can guess where this is headed! How long will it take Casey and Brent to stop denying what they feel for each other? Can a magical weekend help Brent change his ways, help him learn to actually Live life, not just exist in it? Get ready to be drawn in to their lives. You will laugh with them, love with them, feel their aches and joys. I literally could not put this book down! You need to get this book! This book stands alone. But I recommend reading the first two books in this enchanting series. They are well worth your time. This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex, and is intended for mature readers only.
To my ratings: A 3,5* is clicked with a 4* but in review marked as 3,5*:
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile’ or ‘Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the the kids’ series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or ‘Liberty’ from Seth King), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader (2-3 times a year), it's like a B
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (I wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok) It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
The third book in the Bake Sale Bachelors series was entertaining. Unlike the first two books Leyla Hunt focused on the Bachelor bidding from the Omega's perspective. Delicious anatomically correct gingerbread men are the Omega's lure to find an Alpha to spoil during a Winter Resort Weekend. He never expected an old crush would find his cookies tasty and worthy of a bid.
The best friend's younger brother is a Trope I enjoy. The secrecy involved builds the tension from the start. Two wondering when one of them will tire of being "the secret". How will their relationship be revealed? Who will be the one to grow a pair like the anatomically correct gingerbread men? When will their house of cards (gingerbread house) come tumbling down?
Despite how they feel about one another the stress of keeping such a big secret takes its toll. Stolen hours don't leave a lot of time to determine if your feelings are real like, love, or lust. Someone has to man up or risk losing the best Christmas gifts ever.
This series has been fun to read. Loved the cookie auction and watching the relationships grow. I liked that this one was a best friend's brother. Those are always fun to read. I liked Casey and Brent a lot and liked seeing them connect at the resort. Brent was really sweet. I liked that he treated Casey like he was special right from the beginning and that he kept doing it right til the end.
What I didn't like was the way Adam made Casey think Brent wasn't into relationships. He should have kept his mouth shut. Even when Brent told him about their relationship, he acted a bit like a jerk. I'm glad he came around but I think he should have been more supportive with Casey.
A delightful book for a Christmas read while listening to Christmas music. Casey wants love and a family despite that he is young. Brent is a man on the path of success in his company. Casey just happens to be the younger brother of his best friend. Hiding their years old attraction from each other, they say they are only friends. When Brent wins a weekend at an auction with casey, they both have to deal with trying to keep their feelings from each other, afraid Adam, Casey's brother will get upset and freak out. Well worth reading as the other two in this series are.
•Mejor amigo del hermano •Friends to lovers •Spicy 🔥
Gingerbread Greetings by Leyla Hunt is the third book in the Bake Sale Bachelors series. This is a sweet best friend's brother mpreg romance with a holiday twist. Casey and Brent atesexy and adorable together and their story gave me the warm and fuzzies.a great lovestory treat for the holidays.
I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.
I am thinking that it was probably me, going by the other reviews, but this one just couldn't hold my attention. :( It felt like there were so many missed opportunities and I am still wondering why the whole "penis" issue on the gingerbread men wasn't used later in the story... that would have made a wonderful joke while Brent and Casey were laying in bed after a round of hot sex or maybe use it as a lead into a round of hot sex, just sayin'! LOL!!!
This book was really sweet but nothing very exciting happens either. The only real conflicts are Casey's brother and Brent's job. I kinda expected more to happen regarding both. I won't get into why because of spoilers, of course. It's a great book if you're looking for something very sweet, fluffy and low angst.
. . . É uma leitura F(. . .), desculpe pela palavra, eu amei 🖤. . . Amei, Bom o amor vem de várias formas, em alguns casos em idades distantes, mas nada que não possa ser superado, e vivido da melhor forma possível. Amar é a melhor coisa que existe. . . Boa Leitura 😘
4.3 this was like a tiny bit better. I don’t know. I just found the two characters you know best friends brother is the one for me.🤣 I also love the whole date that Casey planned. And I loved how there was like souvenirs because I’m a big souvenir person when it comes to traveling. I know I thought it was just more intriguing and cuter to me
This is another wonderful addition to this authors long list of hits. Christmas magic, gingerbread, and hot male yumminess you can’t go wrong. I love this one and cannot wait to see what happens next.
Super sweet and adorable story. This was a fun holiday read and a perfect quick read for Christmas if you are looking for something extra fluffy. There wasn't a whole lot of of story building here but I still found it to be enjoyable if your just looking for a sweet romance story to make you smile.
These two were so much fun because each of them were having a some feels but their history and their connection with Casey's brother that they almost miss each other. They are such a sweet and happy couple.
This was a great addition to the festive series that sees couples get together over a bake sale auction with dates and this one was a sweet older brothers best friend trope too
A sweet christmas time story. It's the age-old romance of older brothers' best friends. Such an adorable quick read that made me an immediate fan of the author.
