The unusual Gabriella Spencer finds a 5-year-old boy - Will Drake, son of the Earl of Lancaster - in her London yard. She returns him to his father. When he offers a 10,000 pound reward she turns it down, but her father accepts a London season for her instead. She doesn't fit in because of her intelligence and independence, but Adam and Will fall for her hard and vice versa. His life as a government spy comes between them but all works out even though she's pregnant.

not my favorite of this author sometimes gabby's rambling got to me but still a decent read
