All the sweet, fun, romantic tension of a Hallmark movie!
If you’re looking for a quick read that has all the sweet, fun romantic tension as a holiday Hallmark movie than look no further! The book opens with intrigue into Juliet and Ivan’s romantic past. It’s set in the charming Winter Park area of Orlando, FL . I love the awkward moments between the Juliet and Ivan in the beginning. I can relate to feeling the same way so many times in my life. Then there are the sweet moments filled with lush imagery and a quaint holiday coziness that makes you want to climb inside this story and become a part of it. The ending gives you all the warm and fuzzies! I had a smile on my face the entire time!
This sweet second chance romance will leave you glowing like a Christmas tree! A sweet treat for lovers of Hallmark Christmas movies, Holiday on Park has it all - small town ex-lovers with unfinished business, friends conspiring to get them back together, and a happily ever after tied with a pretty bow. I loved it!
A lighthearted read. Not much plot, not much character development. A misunderstanding that leads to years apart. I will say that the FMC's mother is probably the MVP of the story. She really had to be the voice of reason. There was probably 85% internal monologue. Immature FMC constantly running away from conversations, making assumptions.
2.4 Stars ⭐️ This is a short Christmas Romance. I enjoyed the plot, however, I just think more character depth and development would make this much better. The book could have benefited from another 50-75ish pages. Very cute story!
The perfect pre-holiday treat! I read it in one sitting, and was left with a smile on my face and was reminded how sweet stories of long lost love can be!
A sweet holiday romance perfect for anyone who loves Hallmark Christmas movies. I loved all the little bits of Orlando that came through. I’ve already read it twice!
Holiday On Park was a great to read! Highly recommend to Hallmark Christmas movie lovers. Perfect to curl up with on a cold night because it’ll warm your heart!
The POV bounced back and forth every couple of paragraphs which threw off the story pacing for me. The plot was predictable and forcibly moved along. There's just honestly not much to it.
For Hallmark fans everywhere! Love Christmas? Short on time but NEED to carry a reading snack with you? Try this author. Racquel Henry's heart shines through in this classic story.
What a cute quick read. I love novellas because they tend to pack a punch if done well because you have to fully develop the plot and the characters. I also love reading books where the location is somewhere I've lived or visited. This novella was set in Orlando in the Park Ave area (Winter Park), which is a great place for a small town romance. So stinking cute. Juliet's mother Marjorie was a stand out character. She was a good side character who was Juliet's conscious who gave solid advice.
A few things that I wish were included were descriptors of the character. Was Ivan tall, what about his features, which would be the same for the other characters. I didn't get a chance to imagine what they looked like. It could be the author's intention to leave it up the reader's imagination, but I like to imagine character's based on what's on page and go from there. I also thought the timeline was a little off- they were high school sweethearts. My guess is that their relationship occurred during college but it wasn't clear. The 5 year difference could have occurred after college but it wasn't flushed out.
Either way, if you enjoy sweet romance novellas, I would recommend this one. 3.5 stars
