It's an interesting series. However, not a fan of clearly dividing the characters into ugly and beautiful.

Having watched the korean drama first, the webtoon didn't hold many surprises plot-wise. It did shed some more in depth look into the characters, though. The art is not my style, but it worked for the story somehow, the presentation of which was interestingly presented, especially with the tv scenes. The characters were, overall, original and relatable, though some of them were unlikable. So, for the first part of the love alarm webtoon, I have to say that things look promising for the continuation.

Sadly only season 1 of the webtoon is available in English. Mainly I wanted to find out what happens after season 1 of kdrama but that was not a possibility.
The story is really interesting, the concept of the app and different ways to use it. In the original the characters have very different personalities which really threw me off at first but you get used to it. The art style is a little wonky, but definitely unique.

Jojo is a poor high school student who lives with her aunt, who forces her to work at the family convenience store. Her Junior year in high school, a new app is released, called love alarm, which makes your phone chime if someone near you likes you. It is an immediate hit, with most of Jojo's classmates downloading the app as soon as it first becomes available.
This first volume is mostly backstory and character introduction--you meet, Jojo, her pretty cousin, the most popular boy at school, the least popular boy at school, and so forth. It also introduces the Love Alarm app, with lots of explanation of how it works and how people are reacting to the app.
The art was okay. It looked a little rough at times, but this was originally a webcomic, so that makes sense and didn't bother me. As volume one seems to be mostly set-up, I'll be interested in seeing what they do with volume 2.

Me da la impresión de que la historia avanza más despacio que en la serie, pero al mismo tiempo resulta más clara y fácil de seguir. Supongo que al no tener tantos cortes o cambios rápidos de escena, es más sencillo entender lo que está pasando. Aun así, como apenas voy por el primer tomo, es difícil tener una opinión definitiva; apenas está comenzando y queda mucho por ver.

Me encanta este Webtoon, si, es muy diferente a la serie en cuanto a demasiadas cosas, incluyendo a Sun-oh, pero aunque el del webtoon sea una cosa toxica a morir, sigo queriendolo y amandolo, tiene sus escenas iconicas y bueno, lo odié y amé.
Es muy triste que el webtoon no esté traducido por completo, realmente es muy bueno y me toca esperar mucho por las traducciones, pero ni modos, vale la pena por completo.

After watching the show on Netflix I was seriously obsessed. When I learned Love Alarm was based on a webtoon I was dying inside trying to find the series to read. So happy I found it on Kindle. Can't wait for season two on Netflix. I LOVE LOVE ALARM!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Me fascina el concepto de una app capaz de detectar emociones románticas y todo lo que esto implica: la intriga, la presión social y la curiosidad que despierta, incluso cuando no es obligatorio usarla.
En este primer tomo, Jojo es la única de su entorno que aún no ha descargado la aplicación. Pero, ¿qué sucederá cuando finalmente lo haga? ¿Cómo afectará esto su relación con Il-Sik Jang?

One of the more enjoyable webtoons I've read.
The humor worked for me, the story is interesting and I am interested enough to keep going. It's got your usual tropes for a HS webtoon: main character who's pretty plain and wishes something would happen to her, the mean girl, the mean boy and the overarching fear of embarrassing yourself in front of your peers. The love alarm's potential to ruin current relationships is interesting and would make for interesting side stories, as well.
The art style took some getting used to, but overall, a quick and easy read.

Despite all the modernity of the proposed social networks, some LGBTQ representation (the app plays when you love someone regardless of gender), fascination with idols, apps and shirtless photos on the phone, the plot slips strong in 2005 with the classic "minto to protect you" ina situation that, at least in the first season, does not make the slightest sense. On the contrary, it makes you angry.

Definitely my favorite, I love this book because it reminds me of the series and all those beautiful and nostalgic moments with our dear Jojo, Sun-oh and Hye-yeong, in addition everything is very understandable and very well structured, I recommend it within the best books section, congratulations to the authors🤩💜🤗

Bueno, sinceramente la serie me encanto, creo que leeré el webtoo y estoy seguro que me encanta mucho más. En mi opinión, n ome gustaría que esta aplicación existiera como la de la serie, ya que el hecho de decirle a alguien que te gusta, es algo no tan fácil. Y pues la aplicación seria muy fácil decirlo y nos haría medio cobardes jsjsj. Gracias por crear la serie

This first episode of love alarm is so wow I can't explain my happiness right I like the personality of Kim JoJo especially sun oh and hyeong and you know what I can't choose one of them for JoJo because they both really love Kim JoJo I wish the part 2 of love alarm is more exitement . And one last thing hhahaha this drama makes me cry huhuhu saranghae ♥️

Fue una experiencia bastante linda, me encanto la historia tanto en el webtoon y en Netflix, a pesar que las historias cambien creo que cada una tiene lo suyo, realmente la recomiendo ( la verdad tuve momentos de frustración, melancolía, momentos en los que llore mucho, emoción, entre otras millones de emociones, tanto en el webtoon y el la serie de Netflix).

I love this webtoon. The characters are really good and the history too. It's really amazing see how this webtoon has been growing. The idea of one app that can say you if someone is loving you is very interesting.

I love the story so much it’s really good! The art style is also cute, just like a lot of people I watched the drama first and absolutely loved the concept. I like reading webtoons so of course I’d try to find it and read it :)
