Sweet As Candy by Tory Baker is a stand alone, super sweet novella. The story happens around Halloween but it doesn’t really focus on that as a theme. This is my first book of Tory’s.
Dylan Sullivan is thirty years old. He adopted his nephew Johnny as an infant and has raised him alone. Johnny is now five years old and is adorable. But he longs for a wife to love and to make a family with. He knew as soon as he walked into the new bakery, Sweet as Candy, that he found the woman he wanted to spend his life with.
Candy just opened her new bakery a few months ago. It’s been her dream to own her own business. She is only twenty years old. As soon as Dylan and little Johnny first came in to the shop, she felt the pull towards them. She’s already in love with little Johnny. And half in love with his Daddy!
This was a cute, sweet, steamy story of pretty much love at first sight and making the life you always dreamed of. This is completely angst free. Just one of those little stories that makes you smile and makes your heart happy.

This was such a cute Halloween novella! I loved the family that these three made together and couldn’t stop smiling at all of their moments. Reading about them becoming a family was a great way to spend an afternoon.

Good
This was a really sweet story. Both Candy and Dylan were great characters and Johnny was completely adorable. Candy and Dylan were both selfless, loving people and would do anything for those that they love. Johnny and Dylan were pretty much in love with Candy from first sight and both want her to be apart of their lives forever. There is so much love and adoration in this story. It is definitely a feel good kind of read!

What hold him back is that him and Johnny are a package deal. Can she accept them both?? Well absolutely!!! Johnny adds to the story because he is adorable and can’t wait for Miss Candy to be his mommy!!

Tory has done it again!! Sweet As Candy is such a feel good read. Short and Sweet and will leave you with a smile on your face. Just the right amount of sweetness for the Halloween season, or any season really.
Sweet As Candy features Dylan, his son Johnny and the woman that stole their hearts Candy. Dylan and Johnny visit the local bakery in town a lot. But they do not just go for the sweets there, they go for one person. One that they want to move into their lives.

Dylan is a great guy making apps and stuff to help kids/adults with disabilities is such a heart warming thing and he also has a nephew/son (he adopted him) i love this relationship!!! And both are head over heels with Candy the baker.. but Dylan doesn't act alpha at first he has alot on his plate but that doesn't stop him from going/dating Candy..
And candy she is a sweet person i love her relationship with johnny (dylans little boy) even before her and dylan were just friends.

I wanted something that felt October-y, and this has a bit of Halloween mentioned. It was a super fast read with instalove x100 and very low angst.
I don’t love single dad, but he adopts his sibling’s child so it didn’t have any ex drama. Johnny was cute but they literally had no time alone as a couple, even their honeymoon they took him?😂 But it’s a safe, very cheesy romance if you want that!

Good, sweet romantic read with no complications, just fun easy loving. There's a cute little boy in the story and the main character works in a bakery, so there's a lot of fun baking. The hero is a nice guy who is dedicated and loyal to the heroine from the start. Good mixture of steam and sweetness.

Wonderful!! This was a nice quick, short read.
Dylan meets Candy when he and his five year old son, Johnny go to her bakery. They keep going back just to see Candy, the owner. Candy thinks Dylan’s son Johnny is the sweetest boy. Dylan adopted Johnny when he was a baby. His is his nephew but this parents were negligent and on drugs. One day at the bakery Johnny asks if Candy can come over for dinner and she agrees. They make pizza together on a Friday night. Dylan asks Candy if she would like to go to a baseball game with them the next day and she agrees. Later at night Johnny falls asleep in Candy’s arms and Dylan carries him to bed. Candy tries to leave but Dylan tells her to take his bed, while he sleeps on the couch. The next day Candy heads to work while Dylan and Johnny get to work around the house. Candy’s stays the night with Dylan but she wants to make sure it’s alright with Johnny first. Johnny likes to read his books to Candy and is improving greatly with her help.The next morning Candy makes breakfast for her two guys. Candy shows up with a few things packed to spend the night. She tells Dylan she wants to make sure it’s alright with Johnny before she starts to spend more time with him. When Dylan takes Candy to bed she tells him she’s never done this before and he tells her they can take it as slow as she’s likes. She tells him she is ready.The next morning Candy needs to get up early to go open her bakery. When Johnny wakes up he pouts because he wanted her home when he woke up. Dylan FaceTimes Candy but tells him if she’s busy they can’t talk long. Candy is busy at the bakery getting ready for Halloween but makes time to talk to Johnny. After trick or treating Dylan takes Johnny to the bakery. They pick up Candy and take her home, but she falls asleep the short drive. Dylan talks to Johnny about asking Candy to marry him, but Johnny wants to ask her to be his mommy. Shortly after they pack up Candy’s things and move her into their home. Candy hires another college student to work at the bakery to free up some of her time. Dylan makes a plan with Johnny to wake up the next morning to propose to Candy, as long as he can keep the secret. Candy is very excited to become Johnny’s mom and marry them both. After Candy finds her wedding dress Dylan call the pastor for the local church and they are married that weekend. They go to Disney Land for a few days, none of them could get much time off. Five weeks later, Candy is sick and is about to call the doctor. Dylan tells her to wait until after he takes Johnny to school. He comes back with a pregnancy test and it’s positive, after she takes it. Eight years later, Johnny is thirteen, they now have Luke who is seven and into baseball just like Johnny. Luke is even more of a daredevil than Johnny. They also have three year old Chloe who has a sweet tooth like Candy and Johnny. They decide not to have anymore her pregnancy aren’t easy.

Dylan is raising Johnny his nephew as his own after he adopted him. After school he takes him to the bakery for a treat and because both him and Johnny love Ms. Candy. Whenever Dylan and Johnny come into her bakery Candy stops what she is doing to give them her full attention. She loves Johnny and is drawn to Dylan. When they invite her over for dinner one night she is surprised but immediately accepts. Dylan knows that Candy is the one for them and wants to see if she is feeling the same way by inviting her along with him and Johnny. Will Candy join this amazing little family and make it her own?
This is an amazing story once I started it I couldn't put it down. the chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Dylan is a man who has a sweet tooth and it’s not just for the sweets at Candy’s bakery. Ever since she opened he has been going in every week with his nephew turned son Johnny. Immediately both of them are drawn to the bakery beauty and their lives cannot be complete without each other. Once Candy agrees to come to dinner with them the rest is in super fast forward. Candy is also drawn to the sweet duo so waiting and making them a part of her life too is a no brainer. This is my favorite story from Tory and I go back and read it at least once a month. I love the sweet family atmosphere they have created and this sweet single dad will make your heart swoon.

This book really is Sweet as Candy! I loved this book. The characters and the story were absolutely awesome. So much sweetness and good feelings. Dylan is great and has his priorities set with Johnny being first and most important. Dylan wants to be with Candy but has to make sure that she is on board with Johnny and that Johnny is ok with Candy. This was such a heart warming story that it just made you happy to read it. The happy ever after rocked! Definitely recommend this story as a must read! You will love it!

I love this captivating, beautiful, sweet story! I was hooked from the beginning. Dylan is amazing! He is gentle, smart, handsome and attentive. He is an amazing father and caretaker. He knows what he wants and goes all in. Candy is as sweet as her name. She is beautiful, nice, caring and smart. She is such an amazing woman! She is thoughtful and giving. I love these two together. Their connection and chemistry is off the charts. This is my first time reading from this author and I like it. I didn't have any trouble getting right into the story. Amazing work Tory Baker!

This is a short fun read. Dylan is a single father to his nephew, Johnny. They have been coming into Candy’s bakery for a while for a Friday night treat. Dylan has wanted Candy since he first saw her. Now he just needs to come up with a plan and set it into motion. Candy loves when Dylan and johnny come in. Dylan is an amazing man. Could they have more? Johnny helps Dylan with his plan without even knowing it. Johnny loves Candy just as much as his uncle. This was a fun read. It says it is a collaboration put I am not sure if it is linked with any other books or not. This was a great read. Fast paced for sure. The three of them just click into family mode. Great job Tory.

Another fast paced insta love. Not great. Not terrible. Average.
But, there was a time when writers actually paid an editor to proofread their work before it was published. This eliminated a lot of typos, and grammatical errors.
It would come in handy, in the cases of writers such as Ms. Baker, who have no idea how or when to use I/me correctly.
Here’s a tip...remove the first name(s) from the sentence, and the correct choice becomes obvious. Or, hire an editor. That could take an average 3 star book, into 5 star territory in a hurry!

Dylan & his son Johnny love going to the bakery to get some yummy treats. It also gives Candy the opportunity to visit with her favorite little customer, as well his gorgeous dad. Candy doesn’t know it yet but her baked treats aren’t the only thing Dylan is sweet on. This was a cute, sweet read with an adorable little boy that Candy can’t resist falling in love with. Be still my heart! I need to find me someone like “Dylan” ASAP! He is absolutely the best father. He’s loving and caring and such a good guy. I loved how he was exactly the same with Candy. The simple things he would do or say at times were so swoon worthy.
Candy was also adorable. She was amazing with Johnny and the attention she gave him so he knew he was special and important in her life was super cute. I love a good bakery story and this instalove type story was such a good read.

Dylan adopted his brother's son as his own after figuring out that Johnny would never get the love and care he deserved from his brother. Dylan and Johnny have been going into the dessert shop as much as possible just to get a look at Ms. Candy. Candy always makes sure to talk to and engage with Johnny and this makes Dylan fall for her more than he already has. After pizza night at home things begin to escalate between Dylan and Candy, leading to the perfect family.

This is sweet as candy and so hot. I love stories with no angst or hard core drama and this is the perfect story to snuggle up with some hot chocolate on Halloween and relax. Candy and Dylan as just perfect and Johnny made everything better. He had no issues with wanting candy as his mommy and Dylan knowing candy was the one, just had my ovaries about to combust.
