All About the Treats is a stand alone, sweet, sexy romance by Weston Parker. This is my first book by this author. It’s been on my to read list forever and since it’s October, I thought it was the perfect time to read this Halloween themed story.

Theodore “Theo” Saunders is the owner of the Saunders Sweet Treats Company, a nationally known company that creates all kinds of unique candies. Theo loved the creative process of finding new flavors for their candies. He was kind of a modern day Willy Wonka! But he preferred to be alone in his lab, not out in the public eye. People made him anxious. He is thirty five years old and has had a few relationships but nothing really serious. His money always made him wonder whether a woman wanted him for himself or what he could provide for her.

Harper Pinkston is thirty one years old and is a single mom to her adorable eight year old son, Jace. Harper operates a huge yearly event, Halloweenfest. This year the event will be held in Los Angeles and will be the biggest they have ever undertaken. It would be a huge bonus if she could get Saunders Sweet Treats involved. When she finally finds a way to meet the reclusive owner, she’s surprised. He’s so good looking and there is an instant chemistry between them.

Theo may not do being in the public well but there is something about Harper. He feels peaceful around her, confident. And he loves her son. He sees himself in her little boy. He’s quiet and creative and struggles to fit in.

This was a cute story of how these two, well, three really with little Jace, figure things out. The chemistry between Harper and Theo is crazy strong but everything happened so fast. Is there something there that could go beyond Halloweenfest? This was sexy and sweet and definitely put me in the mood for all that candy.

What a delightfully sweet & sexy read this was! I would like my very own candy man, please and thank you, mismatched eyes and all.

Theo...adorably quirky, introverted, yet sexy AF. He sees himself as weird, different, and thinks no one can like him, or even love him - his past is the reason for that.

Harper...total opposite of Theo. Very talkative, outgoing, bubbly, and not afraid to put herself out there.

Jace is Harper’s 8 year-old son, and he has stolen a little piece of my heart. Is it because he reminds me so much of my son? I think so. I could totally relate to Harper, with the problems Jace was having at school. My heart ached for him.

The connection between Jace and Theo warmed my heart. So much. Two similar souls, understanding each other, ‘getting’ each other.

It was very enjoyable and entertaining to watch as Theo slowly came out of his shell, all with the help of Harper. These two opposites coming together was adorable to see.

This story had everything I love - humor, passion, and plenty of heart. I’m so glad I took a chance on it! It was absolutely perfect with Halloween just getting over with last week. Although it will be enjoyable any time of year. ;)

This was my first read by this author and I look forward to reading more!

A real-life Willy Wonka? Isn't that what every kid would love to meet? Especially when they can have all the sweets 😁

Theo isn't the typical billionaire we see so often in books. Sure, he has a lot in common with all the others, but in my opinion, he is still very different. I wouldn't call him grumpy; he "just" has social anxieties. He loves to be by himself. Just stay in his lab and create new sweets. He is still a kid at heart. He loves to play with his PlayStation, and he also loves to read. He isn't into sports. Oh, and he is definitely NO playboy!
And all that makes him so very similar to Jace 😊 The boy he "lures" into his lab with sweets 🙈🤣 Nono, no panic, Theo is no p€rv€rt!!! And it sounds worse than it is, but I so loved this scene 😎
I felt so sorry for Jace. He got bullied in school all the time because he is "different". No! He is not! Stop teaching your kids that you have to be an extrovert. Have to love sports. And all this 💩 Kids can be introverts too. They want to stay in and read? Perfect! Maybe check if they can read in the garden. But let them read if they want. Kids can talk about books with other kids! So instead of showing your kid that kids are different just because they want to read, teach your kid to read to!
I know everyone who reads this knows that all, but I just needed to say it 😎

And again, I'm talking about everything but the book 🙈
Just know, I loved the story. I loved Theo 😍 And I loved Harper & Jace. Harper is a wonderful mom 🩷 And Theo is so wonderful with Jace, even though he isn't the biggest fan of kids 😎

SUMMARY
Theo loves creating candy in his lab. He doesn't like greeting school tours. He's the CEO of a very profitable candy business.

Harper and Kylie run a Halloween festival every year; it's their full-time job. This is their biggest festival yet. Kyle suggests getting a specific candy maker to be in their festival. Harper likes their candy, so calls and leaves a message. Harper was widowed 4 years ago and her son, Jace, is getting bullied in school about having no dad.

Sawyer makes Theo come with him to buy a new car. Sawyer bribes him with a visit to a taffy shop. Sawyer wants Theo making more public appearances; he doesn't want to. Theo has ideas for a new taffy.

Harper gets so frustrated that the company isn't calling her back. She reads online reviews. "Everyone raved about the candy and the cleanliness of the facility, but there were some who felt the need to point out the man behind the candy was weird, strange, different, and odd. As the mother of a child who was often called those names, I felt an immediate kinship with the guy." Bullying is her pet peeve. She sees they do school tours, will get it set up and be a chaperone to "run into" the boss. Jace decides to not trick-or-treat or dress up because of bullies.

Theo gets to work early on Mondays. He hears so many messages from some crazy intense woman. She also somehow got Sawyer's number. “Don’t call her back.” “Why not?” “Because I don’t want to do business with someone like that.” Sawyer tells him about a school tour on Thursday.

Both Harper and Jace enjoy the tour. They get to the interactive room. Harper tries to pin the tour guide down about the boss coming to talk to them. Jace is gone. No one helps her look.

Theo's working on a new taffy when he sees a boy in the hall contemplating pictures. “Why did you leave your group?” “I don’t like being around the other kids.” “Why not?” “I just don’t like it. They aren’t my friends.” I completely understood. Theo invites Jace into his lab, lets him taste the pumpkin pie taffy he's working on. “You can hang out here for a few minutes, but then you have to go back. Your teacher is probably already looking for you.” “She won’t know I’m gone. They never know when I wander away.” “You wander away a lot?” “Sometimes.” “I get it. Why don’t you help me mix up another batch?” His eyes got big. “Really?” “You went on the tour, right?” “Yes.” “Then you’re ready to work.” Theo doesn't like kids, but he likes this one. They work. A woman bursts in. “Jace! There you are! I’ve been looking everywhere for you!” “I was right here, Mom. The man asked me if I wanted some candy.” “You lured my son in here with candy?!”

Sawyer comes in. “I didn’t lure him in here! He came in on his own!” “Stop,” I hissed. “You don’t get to talk.” Sawyer introduces Theo. She apologizes. Theo says he'll take them back to their group, Sawyer leaves. Theo and Jace show her the lab, the candy. “This is good.” “It needs sweetness.” “Jace, that’s not polite.” “No, no, it’s okay. I asked him for his opinion. He’s got a good palate.” Theo invites them to lunch and a private tour. Harper likes Theo's quiet demeanor.

EVALUATION
The romance was fun. The social anxiety was overdone and too easily resolved.

FAVORITE QUOTES
I needed to figure out how to help my little guy on my own, even if it meant taking him fishing and other fatherly things. I would touch a worm for my child. Heck, I would eat the damn thing if that was what made him happy.

A kid that was being picked on wasn’t always aware he was being picked on.

Part of dealing with anxiety is determining just how logical it is to be afraid of whatever it is that is freaking you out.

Some people just like different things. We’re all different. It doesn’t mean any of us is wrong or broken. We just have different views and likes.

Sometimes, our minds need a rest. When there is a lot of stuff happening, we can feel overwhelmed. Reading, listening to music, playing the piano, or even walking can help give our minds a break. We don’t have to think about all the stuff that makes us sad. We can think about good stuff. Then, when we’re done playing or whatever, the good stuff is on top, and the bad stuff doesn’t feel so big.

Don’t hold yourself back from enjoying life. Never put off doing something you want. Take chances. Big risks equal big rewards—in all aspects of life.

Say what you feel. Open your heart and don’t be afraid to be hurt. Love is a precious gift that life gives us. Don’t be afraid to take it. Love. Be loved. Live. Really live.

Being a father isn’t about changing diapers. It’s about unconditional love and support. It’s being the bad guy when you have to and lending a listening ear.

This amazing book is a "coming out of your shell" type of story.
Theo, a very shy kinda guy meets Harper, widowed single mom through Jase, Harper's son, through his workplace.
Harper is Theo's opposite; not afraid to talk to people and is a quite out there kinda person.
Let's say they'll be very good to one another.
A very sweet story, no huge drama and not many sexy scenes; but those are .....steamy and panty melting ;)
It's an unputdownable book; I enjoyed it very much!

I received an ARC in exchange of an honest review.

I started this book because I was in the mood for a cute little holiday story for Halloween, and it was really cute. A little different than the usual romance read however, but in a good way.

Role reversal alert! The h (Harper) is the alpha and the H (Theo) is an introverted guy, not particularly buff, but adorable with shaggy hair and one green eye and one blue. He's shy and reclusive, creative and unappreciated. Because of his lack of validation as a kid Theo relates really well to Harper's bullied son and Harper understands Theo. She accepts him for who he is, and thus begins their relationship. It's an incredibly sweet story and not where I expected it to go, but it was refreshingly original.

Although this isn't Weston Parker's best technical work (too much redundant dialogue, too little prose IMO) the story, and especially the ending, completely redeems the book and I do recommend it for a quick nice holiday themed read.

The candy man can

I absolutely adored this book. Theo, a modern day version of Willy Wonka is seen as weird to those around him. Harper is highly motivated about what she does, and it’s all about Halloween for this single mom. Her son Jace adds another depth to the story and gives insight to what many kids face all because he has his own likes.

Their first introduction is one of epic misunderstandings but it’s quickly rectified and it starts a journey for Theo, Harper and even Jace.

Like all relationships things are going great until doubt creeps in when situations become serious. Like all great love stories it’s not about the ending but the journey along the way.

Different Treats for Different People

Theo was such a nice, kind guy. He took Jace into his lab and let him into his private stash. Theo was wonderful with Jace. Harper came in accusing Theo and luckily for her Theo gave her another chance. Harper annoyed me some. She wasn't going to tell Theo the truth and when she did she didn't let him process what he heard.

Did I read the same book as everyone else? The characters had no chemistry. He sounds like a robot through most of the book. 2 dates and he’s a changed man? That not how it works.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Theo and Harper. Harper is a single mother to a son named Jace. Harper is in charge of Halloweenfest, a festival about Halloween and she wants to talk to Theo to have his company featured. Theo owns a candy factory and invents the new flavors himself. Theo prefers to stay locked in his lab working and not interact with people. He considered himself different and feels anxiety. When Harper doesn't get any answers to her phone calls, she arranges for Jace's class to tour the factory, in hopes she meets Theo. Jace is a quiet kid who prefers to keep to himself also. When he leaves the tour, he finds himself outside of Theo's lab and Theo talks to him. Theo sees a lot of himself in Jace and when Harper finds them, they talk and Theo invites Harper to come back to talk to him. Harper wants to help Theo enjoy life and get over his anxiety, so she asks him out. Theo agrees and soon they go on a few dates. Theo and Harper are very attracted to each other and Theo is good to Jace, only Theo doesn't know if Harper wants to continue seeing him after the festival. Theo has said he never wants kids, so Harper is unsure if she should get serious with him. I enjoyed this book, I really loved Theo, i think he was such a gentle soul who had been hurt before. Harper saw past Theo's issues and saw how loving he could be. I loved them together and i love how Theo was with Jace. Another great one.

Although this book has few seasonal references, I enjoyed this sweet, later-in-life contemporary romance. Theo and Harper are complete opposites. The author brings in the single mom, billionaire, and opposites attract tropes. I truly loved the lack of drama in the story. This story is more mature as the couple doesn't have issues with miscommunication and other nonsense. I liked how the book's title eludes to the info you find in the story. It wasn't quite what I expected, but it was a delightful read.

Theo is the contemporary version of "Willy Wonka" with his chocolate factory. Harper is a single mom with a kid struggling with bullying while juggling a job. Theo is an enigma, introverted, and may have chocolate in his veins.

Their first meeting is exciting. He is timid, and she is very outspoken. Yes, all the Halloween and candy talk makes me dream of chocolate. Hopefully, I'm not the only one. But I also really want Theo to be happy and maybe a bit less awkward. Things heat up and get steamy, but this brings home the point that you can't change someone.

This book is very different because the male wants to pursue the relationship, and the female is second-guessing herself. Typically it is the other way around. However, Theo has come a long way with the proper support and the right women. Of course, after Halloweenfest, a bomb gets dropped on her literally, and I'm not sure how he will take it.

This book does end quite sweet, and I have to say this is a more mature romance with less drama and miscommunication and just two people who genuinely love each other.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "ALL ABOUT THE TEATS" Everyone should have this it was extremely well written by Weston Parker full of emotions, passion, heartache, bullying, twist you'll love to see come to light.
Theo Saunders is an introvert who people call the Willy Wonka of the world's largest candy company "SAUNDERS SWEET TREATS" he works behind the scenes creating new and exciting candy his BF Sawyer is the spokesperson.
Harper Pinkston with her BF and partner Kylie do the "HALLOWEEN FEST" every year it's in LA this time and dies a huge business she been trying to reach Theo Sanders to be part of it this year he hasn't returned her calls.
Harper knows that Jace her 8yr old son who such a quiet shy bright boy is being bullied in school and she doesn't know what to do so she arranges a tour of the Saunders Sweet Treats candy factory.
Jace wanders off to get away from the crowd and he meets Theo who takes him into his lab to show where he creates the candy a woman burst through the door frantic and say some terrible things to Theo before she knows who he is Sawyer comes in to calm everyone down.
Theo meets the next day with Harper he likes her larger than life personality and being in her presence he agrees to be part of the Halloween Fest she wants to help him come out of his shell and enjoy life because she sees alot of Jace in Theo.
This was such a beautifully written delightful story I thoroughly enjoyed and would definitely recommend the characters were awesome I hope that the secondary characters Sawyer and Kylie get their own story I loved these charcaters also.

This tells us the love story of how Theo met Harper and her adorable little boy which lead to their beautiful little 'princess'! Theo is basically a reclusive Willy Wonka but oh so s@xy with it. He loves making candies that everyone can enjoy and he is very successful at doing so. When Halloween is approaching he meets Harper who is a widow that runs Halloweenfest and is looking for businesses to take part as well as she sees how her son who is being bullied at school and so withdrawn reacts to Theo. Theo recognises in little Jace a great deal of himself and they bond much to Harper's amazement and delight. As for Harper and Theo - well get out the ac and your fans set to maximum COOL as they are so HOT & STEAMY together - my kindle practically sizzled when they met. I loved how Theo helped Jace at the Halloweenfest with the school tormentors. Just such a wonderful memorable story that left me with a warm feeling and wanting to read it again in the future. Well done Weston Parker at his very BEST! I received a reader's copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. MOST DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED

All About The Treats is a cute story about Theo, Harper and her son, Jace. Theo is an introvert billionaire who is the brains and the creativity behind a candy company he owns. Harper is a single mom to Jace, with a larger-than-life personality who meets Theo while chaperoning her son's class field trip to the candy factory. Their first meeting does not go that well, due to a misunderstanding, but once that is straightened out, Harper works to befriend him to not only help him be less awkward in public situations (as he remind her of her son, who is also quiet/introverted as well as being bullied in school) and would like to help him. She'd also like for his company to participate in an upcoming festival that she is organizing.
As they spend more time together, Theo becomes more comfortable out amongst "the people" and a friendship/relationship begins to form, not only between Theo and Harper but also Theo and Jace. Theo does not believe he is "father material" - due to his upbringing - but we are shown signs of how good he is with Jace and it's heartwarming.
It's a wonderful story of Theo and Harper overcoming their differences to find love as well as both Harper and Theo helping Jace deal with his difficulties at school and being "different". I can easily recommend this book to anyone who likes a good story and a happily-ever-after.

Amazing

Weston parker takes you on a journey of a man who feels alone, wierd, and unloved. He has become a recluse. He owns a candy factory that his father owned. His father made his company come first and struggled to give Theo the love he needed while he was growing up. Then comes along a woman, Harper, witha so who is similar to Theo. He gets bullied at school and keeps to himself. When Harper sets up a tour with the company to meet with Theo to get him to be a part of a Halloween project, her so goes off into areas he shouldn't be. That's when Theo and Harper meet. The journey these two take is wonderful. Harper talks him into getting out of his business and home to get him to come out of his shell. Theo and Harpers son Jace seem to hit it off being so much alike. Thse two tend to have a bond. Throughout this journey they have strong feelings for each other. You will have to read this amazing book to see what happens from there. Weston Parker pulls at your heart strings in this one. Have your tissues ready. This book deserves more than 5 stars. BRAVO WESTON.

“Everyone raved about the candy and the cleanliness of the facility, but there were some who felt the need to point out the man behind the candy was weird, strange, different, and odd.”

An inspirational story about a candy man who doesn’t quite fit into that round hole people think he should. The wonderfully interesting characters were a real treat to read about, each of them were very different. Harper was a single mum with a full on attitude, whilst her son was a gentle soul who’d prefer to create or read. Theo was the creative genius behind the candy, he’d been the weird one who’d suffered years of bullying. Its naturally instinctive to protect ourself when we get hurt, becoming turtles living in our shells. Existing in your fortress until someone prods us into stepping outside of our safety zone and living life the way it’s meant to be. A beautiful story with some very poignant moments, definitely has left me with a smile on my face…oh, and wanting some candy.

This well written romance has a wonderful storyline and you will fall for the characters. Theo owns Saunders Sweet Treats and creates his own chocolate. He is like the real life Willy Wonka but has trouble appearing in public. He has one blue eye, the left and one green eye, the right. Harper created Hallowweenfest which the entire world enjoys. She is a single mother raising her son Jace. Her husband was killed while in the Army on his second deployment. The way the characters met and how their relationship developed was intriguing and romantic. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Just another, “I love Weston’s books”!
She a helicopter mom of a shy little boy who is smart and different enough to not fit in with his classmates that leads to bullying. He is a latest edition billionaire candy man who has become reclusive because being around people who judge him, freak him out. He grew up like the little boy and can relate to his problems.
I like that as a concerned mother, she has taken the therapist’s advice to heart and uses it to bring him out of hiding into the real world away from his safe place. He calms down with her because she understands him and is not a threat. In return, he helps with her son. Anxiety and depression are very real mental health diseases. They are tastefully brought into the story with real life examples of how it can affect people. Making an effort to help him brings them closer together and in turn, benefits a young boy.
And, it’s a heartwarming love story with a few unexpected surprises! Well written and a delight to read!

I read this book as part of an ARC program. With that said this isn't the first book by this author I have had the privilege or reading.
I'm going to be honest. I'm floored that Mr. Parker has the touch that I've only read from female authors. His characters come to life and are so endearing. Theo captivated me. His charming shy character who has a hard time interacting with most people. Till he spots a little boy touring his candy factor that reminds him so much of himself. His introduction to Harper had me in stitches and as they say....opposites attract.

This book provoked so many wonderful feelings from me. It would be ashame for any romance reader or dreamer to miss reading such a beautiful book. I think this one might just be on my christmas list for a few of my friends. It's too good not to share.

This was a phenomenally sweet and romantic story from Weston Parker. Theo is a reclusive, shy CEO of a candy company. Harper is a single mom and runs Halloweenfest; a carnival type of festival for local businesses to share their products. When these two begin working together for Halloweenfest sparks fly and the attraction is off the charts. All About The Treats is a fun loving and romantic Halloween story filled with laughter, friendship, a socially awkward CEO, a confident single mom, passion, a secret baby, and love. This was a beautifully written novel with wonderful characters readers will fall in love and won’t be able to get enough of. I absolutely loved reading this new novel from Weston Parker.

I'm quickly loving this author

His talent in creating characters who are quirky, down to earth, honest wonderful people is addicting. I keep hoping the side characters will get stories of their own. And honestly he made.my momma heart happy. I have a son named Jace and it made me so happy poo y to see a smart wonderful gentle little boy with the same name. I also love the 2 worries the 2 went through for this book. The complete misunderstanding until they actually communicated. The author gets that communication is key. And that working together will bring the best outta each person. I adored that before the officially met, he thought she was annoying but sometimes it takes 1 face to face meeting to change your views.

This touching story will draw you in with its delightful characters. Theo is an introvert who keeps to himself and is a master chocolatier todays version of Willy Wonka. He doesn’t like being around people because they misunderstand him. When a young boy wonders into his lab, he is intrigued because the boy reminds him of himself. When his mother happened upon them she got the wrong idea thinking he was a pervert. One thing led to another and now they are in a relationship that touches not only Theo but Jace who is Harper’s son. What started out as a misunderstanding has turned into so much more for this trio but is it enough for them to take to the next level to become a family with a happily ever after. I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.

A lovely treat about perception and acceptance

Harper, single mom and festival planner, meets Theo, candy maker and billionaire, at his candy business headquarters. As the story progresses boundaries are pushed, discoveries are made, and accepting the truth is harder than they think. Weston Parker’s All About the Treats is a lovely treat about perception and acceptance. I loved the way each character interacted and how Parker focused on the fact that being different is not a bad thing. I would love to see Sawyer and Kylie get together.

I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

Now this one was a great great telling great telling of how a woman goes on in life after her husband is killed in the service.  Starts a company all by herself and at the time is taking care of her 4 year old. She struggles with it all and has to deal with the issues her son is going through. But when Mr. Sexy Treats guy aka Theo comes into the picture all bets are off. They bring the heat to this story that's for sure. I hope they is more to come with the people from thia one. Sawyer really needs a story. Excellent read! I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy.

This story is different, a good different. Each chapter pulled me in more and more, bringing me a different view of life.
Weston in this book brought together two life subjects that are very easily overlooked by people, bullying and introversion, and transformed it to a masterpiece.
I love how Weston switch things up and instead of having the typical alpha male, he gave us this introvert but very lovely man, Theo. A man that despite the money and his own candy company, he dislike big crowds and attention. The shyness and awkwardness made him a lonely man until
he met this extrovert and smart businesswomen, Harper, that broke down his shell and helped him see the light and fun life can offer while at the sametime he helped her son Jace overcome the challenges he was having at school (bullying).
The three of them completed each other in many different levels and the three of them made a stronger version of themselves giving this love story a unique ending.
Can't wait for more of Weston's stories, they all are captivating.

Awe.... what a lovely, heart warming love story this is. Theo is a modern day willy wonker and quite the loner & recluse. Harper and Theo seem destined to be together.
They meet in circumstances driven by their individual business needs. Harper’s son Jace adds an added layer of loveliness to the whole story. I received an advanced readers copy of this book and my review is honest and voluntary. This is an easy to read, sweet (no pun intended), modern love story that tells the tale of how love can blossom from the most unlikely of encounters and can grow into something spectacular if you give it the chance it needs.
