A frustrated captain. A starship on the fritz. Can she salvage her smuggling trade before jealous rivals knock her out of the galaxy?
Vivian Kawabata feels like her wings have been clipped. With her broken ship in the repair yard, and her crew begging her to take a break, she agrees to a private villa getaway with the chance to seduce her new hot medic. But her beach vacation becomes a stressful battleground when an ex’s former consort swoops in with a destructive agenda.
With her family’s farm at stake, the only way to outmaneuver the cutthroat may be by getting back to her roots… and extraordinary plants. But even if she digs up the dirt she needs, she still has to deal with in-laws, shady shopkeepers, and a shocking discovery aboard her ship.
Can Vivian get her vessel and her men aloft, or will her operation crash and burn?
Lost Flyght is the fourth book in the Flyght Series of sci-fi reverse harem romance. If you like seductive space operas, warp-speed world-building, and high-octane twists and turns, then you’ll love S. J. Pajonas’s star-struck tale.

Re-read review for audio version: I enjoyed re-reading this one. It's been fun spotting the build up and foreshadowing for one of the reveals toward the end of the book with what's been going on with the ship. I remember the first time being so surprised by that twist, so it was fun to see it coming it this time. I enjoyed seeing Vivian and Gus finally starts their relationship in this one. And Vivian deals with one of the problems that has been plaguing for a few books now. It's great seeing her relationschip network come together throughout the series. Just like the previous books I am still enjoying the AI narrator and would happily listen to more AI narrated books if they're as well done as this one.
Original review for first time read: I received a free copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.
Lost Flyght is the fourth book in the amazing Flyght series and I was excited to dive into this one. I was left with so many questions at the end of book 3 and I wanted to see what happened to those plot points and we get most of those answers in this book, while ofcourse new questions and plot points also pop-up. There are some great reveals and surprises in this one, especially when we find out what is going on with the ship, I definitely didn't see that twist coming.
Vivian again has a lot to deal with in this book. Her ship is being repaired after a small fire in the last book, Jinzo's ex is still a pain, things with the seeds aren't progressing as fast as she hopes, she has to meet Jinzo's family, she's still trying to decide what to do with Gus and above it all she's stressed and not sleeping well. There is a lot going on and all the plot lines there definitely is no dull moment.
I felt so bad for Vivian with how much stress she is under and it's hard and exhausting to read about at times as she doesn't get a break and she has a hard time getting the rest she needs. I really wish Vivian would get some more moments of rest and relaxation as she is way too stressed and gets too little rest. At times it gets a bit too much. I was happy that her guys try to make her see that she can't continue like this and has to think about herself as well. They all care a lot about her well being.
With how much there was going on, it was nice to see some resolution to some of the ongoing plot points and others that develop or head in another direction. I was happy to see how Vivian dealt with Jinzo's ex, I wasn't sure how that would turn out, but I like the direction it took and how Vivian handled things. The plot line surrounding what's wrong with the ship continues for most of the book, but then at the end we find out what's been going on and it's quite the twist. And there's more about the superhero seeds, I liked seeing Vivian try out a new one, although the aftereffects aren't as pleasant. There are also some new things that come up like the new AI dealer they contact and the situation with Gus' family.
One of my favorite things about this book and the series in general is the romance. The romance is a bit on the background in the first half, but has a more prominent role in the later half. It was fun to see Vivian and Gus spend some more time together and seeing whether Vivian decides to follow her heart and invite him to her network or not. I was quite curious to see what would happen there and I am happy with the outcome, although there is an unexpected twist and conversation with Gus mother that I think will have an impact in later books.
Even though the romantic focus is on Gus, we still see enough of the other two guys as well. There also is still plenty of sweet scenes with Jinzo. He's still my favorite. We don't see as much of Ken in this book, but he's still around and there are some scenes with him and Vivian as well. There also are some awesome scenes of them all together. It really is awesome to see how Vivian's network develops and how all these men care about her and also interact with each other well. The whole reverse harem aspect is handled so well and in a way that feels natural for this world.
I also enjoyed seeing more of the world again in this book. Vivian visits a new planet and spends some time there. And the scenes aboard the Lee home ship were great as well. I really love this world the author created and it's a joy to spend time in it.
To summarize: Another great read in this awesome series! Vivian has a lot to deal with at times. I liked how the plot keeps moving, there isn't a dull moment and it was nice to have some plot lines get resolved, some new ones pop up and other develop in new directions. There also are some great twists and reveals and I liked seeing the direction the plot took. I do feel bad for Vivian for how stressed she is and I wish she would have some time to rest and relax. It's a a bit much and tiring to read about at times. I really like seeing how the romance develops, with this book focusing on Gus and seeing how that relationship develops. There is still plenty of scenes with Jinzo and while there is less of Ken in this book, there are some nice scenes with him as well. I like seeing how her network comes together, how much the guys care about her and how they get along with each other well too. It's a lot of fun to spend time in this world and I like seeing more of it and spending time in this universe.
Lost Flyght is the fourth book in the Flyght series by S.J. Pajonas, and it’s another wonderful addition to the series. If you’ve been enjoying the series thus far, you need to dive into this one to enjoy all the things that play out.
After finishing High Flyght, there were a lot of things I wanted to see more of in the next book. Although Lost Flyght deals with a lot of things – providing answers to plenty of questions – it didn’t deal with the one I’d most expected. I was a wee bit disappointed by this at first, but that feeling quickly passed. This book does not deal with the expected aspect, but the topics it deals with are done really well. Some of my beliefs were confirmed, some elements went in unexpected ways, and there are new details that have me theorising what will come next. It’s another story with plenty packed into it, ensuring you’ll devour it in no time.
Without a doubt, Lost Flyght is a must read for fans of the series. I’m once again eager to see what comes next and plan to dive right into the next book.
Viv is doing the best she has with a horrible situation. She finally gets the guy and finds her brother but that doesn’t put her any closer to her goal.
Still love everything about this series, except I’m now at the point where I feel like screaming, JUST TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEMS ALREADY!! She puts off stuff that should be sorted immediately, and frets the small things. Ughh, it’s a little annoying, but overall I enjoy every other aspect of this book, ESPECIALLY how she meets her new network, and ESPECIALLY how those relationships evolve. For the longest time I have wanted a book showing “real” people. I absolutely adore that she becomes attracted to some of these men after she gets to know them better, because in real life, that’s what happens! A persons personality is a huge factor of making them attractive. When I read books of people who are super attractive it is a little unreal. Yeah sure it happens, but … 🤷🏽♀️ Here some are attractive. Some are scruffy. Some are rich, but everything isn’t about looks first, and that I can get behind 200% Oh, and another thing? Her and her network are ALL just genuinely caring thoughtful loving awesome people. People with personalities like that need to be celebrated and written about more!
When I find the first book of a series I like, I tend to binge. Consequently, I'm indulging in an exciting and satisfying science fiction story told over 6 (so far) books. Vivian must save her family enterprise (to say "family farm" is too limiting), which her brother threw into bankruptcy. The bank will sell it at auction within a year if Vivian can't pay back what her brother embezzled. What a task! But, Vivian has allies who are helping her--her cousin pilot, 2 teens (a computer genius and a livestock herder), a matchmaker, and 2 (maybe 3) consorts. And then there are unexpected allies. Each character has their own hinted at story and could be the hero of his/her own story, yet they don't take away from Vivian's.
Each book has a satisfying ending, with the overarching theme of family and family responsibilities that knits the stories together. Plenty of page-turning action, great world building, and fascinating characters make this story unputdownable. On to book 5.
Vivian Kawabata has so much going on in this book full of twists and turns the reader won’t see coming! With her ship undergoing repairs, Vivian is stressed, hardly sleeping, and needs a little bit of rest and a chance to relax before she burns out completely! She has to try to save her family farm and keep her business operating so it doesn’t get snapped up by the competition. And will we all find out what is really going on with the ship? It’s a good thing she has her network around to make life a little easier.
This is a popular series and it doesn’t take long to see why that is true. Good story line, tons of action, a variety of interesting characters – what more do you need? Grab your copy and keep up with this high-speed adventure!
Still a good story but you do miss a lot when you read it out of order. Story was still good but like the author said, get the books in order. I want to go back and catch up with this story as this is book 4 and I missed the first 3 books. Good but some of it was confusing. This is a first book from this author but it makes me want to purchase the first books and catch up. This review won't help much so grab the first three books before you read this one. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. At least I found a new author to read.
This is an exciting and intriguing four book in The Flyght Series. There are fantastic and unexpected twists and turns. The storytelling is vivid, descriptive, and easy to get lost in. This is a non stop story that has sweet and romantic moments and many fun moments.
I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased, honest review.
Vivian and gang can’t catch a break. Whenever one problem resolves, two more take its place. Strong world building, great characters, and an involved plot make this series addictive.
Lost Flyght, book 4 of the Flyght series, is full of twists and turns and drop your jaw on the floor moments. Poor Vivian needs some rest and relaxation but there is no way the author is going to let that happen! Vivian has a lot on her plate between trying to save her family farm and maintain her network. I can't wait to read book 5.
The main character, Vivian, has become a decision maker. This is a young woman who does not to think highly of herself in a society where women rule. I am fascinated with the men she loves and gets to keep! And the Lee space ship is amazing. This author is a wonderful story teller with a very vivid imagination.
