Taking over his family’s salvage yard and finding a talent for turning trash into treasure, the last thing he wants are reminders of past heartbreak. Crossing paths with Jane scratches at the surface of the pain he worked hard to bury. He attempts to avoid all things Jane until he learns of her recent divorce. Will Jane be able to pick up the shattered pieces of her self-worth and will Oliver finally put Jane ahead of his fear?If so, will they be able to re-gift their hearts to each other in time for Christmas?
This is a well written 2nd chance story with two likeable characters who struggle to communicate. To be more precise, Oliver struggles and Jane waits for him despite knowing how reticent he is.
I'd have been asking him things flat out - which is one of the many reasons I'll never be the heroine in a romance, lol.
The ending is sweet but abrupt - after waiting for the whole book for them to be together, the ending needs to give us long enough to savor their happily-ever-after a little before ejecting us from their story
Re-Gifting Christmas is part of the "A Holly Springs Romance" series. In a small town, everybody knows everything about everyone, especially things you would rather not think about. This sweet second chance romance is a charming tale of high school sweethearts coming back together after the end of Jane's quick marriage. This is a well written short story about chances that have gone by and hopes for the future.
I am looking forward to reading more books by this author. I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.
I have read several other books by this couple who writes under one pseudonym, and I have enjoyed every one of them. This one is no exception. While some of the themes in the book are common in romance—and especially contemporary romance—I loved that the hero was a salvage artist. His family has owned a salvage business for a long time, but the hero actually takes some of this “garbage” and turns it into art or functional items. What an intriguing business and hobby for the leading man in a romance. No Armani-suited billionaire here!
This story is told in the alternating viewpoints of the hero and heroine, which I always enjoy in a romance; I like to know both sides of the story. The heroine comes back to her hometown broke and broken hearted after the dissolution of her brief marriage. She comes back to live with her father as she licks her wounds and gets herself set up in her new life. One of the first people she sees when she gets back into town is, of course, her old boyfriend from before she left. They had an ambivalent breakup, which was more like a drifting apart that happened on both sides. The heroine is clearly suffering in the beginning parts of the book, having gone through a painful divorce that she hasn't quite recovered from. She doesn't want people to know about her backstory, especially the hero. So the story is about coming home again—which isn't so easy—trying to re-establish yourself in the world, and trying to come to grips with your past so you can move forward. It isn't an easy road for anyone, and it isn't an easy road for the characters in this novel. But the authors handled both characters' internal struggles and conflict with kindness and gentle sensitivity; I really appreciate that. I enjoyed this book, and I can recommend it.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
Easy reading, the characters are so easy to like. Jane is definitely a risk taker but it doesn’t work out too much for her. She heads home feeling a failure.
Her true love Oliver was afraid of risk, opposites, which didn’t work out well for him. They quickly rekindled their friendship but both are too afraid to open up.
The magic Santa is present with his ornament, but I was surprised that it did not figure into the climax and ending of this Romance novel. I truly enjoyed all 3 in the series. With the pandemic making its fall surge, it’s been great having a chance to read novels that soothe the mind and heart. Enjoy!
The joys of small towns where everyone knows you and thinks they know what's best for you, this is a super sweet second chance at love for Jane and Oliver. There are times where you want to shake sense into both Jane and Oliver and I feel like half the town did also but you also hope they come to the realization sooner rather than latter that they are in love. This gets you in the Christmas mood and makes you want to read more Christmas books! 🎄

Jane had left her hometown to only return for the holidays, but after a nasty divorce and loss of her job she has to return home. Unexpectedly she finds that the small town has a charm she had not seen as a teenager.. Oliver has never left town and when he hears that Jane is back he hopes to rekindle old feelings, but hesitates, waits for the right moment. A nice love story, fairly straight forward with little surprises. But it is written entertainingly and with a touch of Hallmark magic. Second chance, missed chance, wrong interpretation of events, holding back on your feelings. These are all part of this short novella. She always wanted to get away from their small town, it wasn’t until she came back after a short marriage and painful divorce that she appreciated all the goodness there. Including Oliver, he had stayed behind to take over his parents business and using junk to make upscale art but his heart always belonged to Jane. He just was always a half step slow and kept missing chances and not being willing to take risks. Clean.
A part of the A Holly Springs Romance series a well written story that I enjoyed reading. Jane returns home to Holly Springs after losing her job and getting a divorce. Oliver was her high school sweetheart when she left she left him behind but can this Christmas bring them together? I enjoyed reading their story. This is a sweet,CLEAN smalltown romance. Have finds herself back home after a failed marriage of less than a year. Her small town is the last place she wants to be after working so hard to get away. Oliver had always intended to tell Jane his real feelings but never found the right time or didn't why to stand in her way. After a misunderstanding when her ex comes into town, Oliver feels like he's lost his chance yet again.... now he needs to set the record straight.
My second book by this author and the third in the series about enchanting little town of Holly Springs. Again what a delightful read. I enjoyed it just as much as the other.. A sweet little second chance romance which kept me hooked until the end. Not to be missed

Loved this sweet second chance romance with Jane who lost her dream job and her marriage and Oliver who has taken over his family’s business who has also had heart break but now maybe he gets his second chance with Jane. Well written story and loved Jane and Oliver.

Very entertaining story about the magic of the holidays and second chances. Both main characters are likable and their feelings for each other are obvious. Both have high standards and sincerely care for others. I loved the way her confrontation with the ex-husband goes viral! Made my day.
Oliver was frustrating! His parents had good advice. It is fun to read about the same little town on the same timeline from different perspectives. Clean, second chance romance.
Easy reading story about a missed love, due to missed opportunities. I enjoyed the different chapters that are from either Jane or Oliver's perspective. Fun, fast reading Christmas story for the holidays!
Such a cute quick read and gives all the Christmas hallmark vibes! I love how characters from the other two books in the series make appearances as well. Definitley recommend if you’re looking for a short feel good story. :)
