Declan Forbes has always been the black sheep in the family, and he likes it that way. The less people liked him, the less drama he had to deal with. But the thing about being a loner was a person might find themselves . . . lonely.Working for the FBI, Declan liked his world the way it was, even if something was missing. He’d also take a bullet in the gut before admitting anything was wrong. Something was off, though, because from the moment he meets Angela he’s a goner. She’s in the midst of the case he’s been trying to crack for the past few years now, but he’s not exactly sure how she’s involved and she isn’t talking. One thing Declan has learned in his years in the Marines and the FBI, though, is how to get a person to talk. It could even be . . . fun. This is the final book in the four book series, Undercover Billionaires. It can be read as a stand-alone. Each brother has his own book.

Absolutely love Melody Anne. Her billionaires are alpha, hot, wonderful sense of family, love, and hearts-of-gold who will do anything for the women they love. When these men fall, they fall hard, and are down-right possessive in the best possible way! Totally recommend anything by Melody Anne.

5 star review Declan (Undercover Billionaire #4) by Melody Anne

I was riveted to Declan from the first chapter to the last and could not put it down. This was an intense story with twists and turns throughout which had me on the edge of my seat, not to mention reading well into the night as I had to see how the story would pan out. Just when I thought I knew where the story was headed, Melody Anne threw in a curve ball and surprised me.
Declan Forbes ticks all the boxes for me; he is strong, protective, most definitely an alpha and although he tries hard to hide it, he loves fiercely. Angela was the perfect woman for him, sassy and feisty, she is a woman who has seen and gone through more that most women and has come out the other side, stronger and even more determined to make a life for her and her young son Timothy.

The chemistry between Declan and Angela built as they tried to keep ahead of the bad guys. Will Declan be able to keep Angela and Timothy safe or is tragedy destined to strike Angela again?
There is romance, heat, love, mystery and suspense woven throughout Declan and I believe that Melody Anne has saved the best for last.

Angela is trying to escape her past so she has created a new life for herself and her son but the one thing she must do is keep a low profile and not attract attention. Her plans goes up in smoke when she becomes a witness and Declan wants to know everything about what she saw and her past!

The crime that Angela witnessed is connected to a case that Declan is investigating so when she is less than forthcoming with information he wonders if she is a witness or an accomplice. When he realizes she is in danger there is nothing he won’t do to protect her and her son.

I really enjoyed these two characters as Declan is a sexy protector and Angela’s strength and resilience shows through. Hot chemistry and suspense combine into an intriguing storyline.

Once again Melody Anne gives a story that encompasses everything. A bit of danger, some angst, humor and a whole lot of passion. One of the reasons I love everything she writes because she gives everything.

Declan is the last of the Forbes brothers and the most mysterious of them all. He’s totally an alpha male with a protective streak. He’s an FBI agent working a case that connects him with Angela.

Angela is hiding to protect herself and her son. She’s seen some things that place her in grave danger. Unfortunately, she’s been discovered and now she must be protected. And of course who better to do that than Declan.

The twist and turns, the ups and downs, the ins and outs of this riveting story kept me on the edge of my seat! The characters held me hostage! The author gave me life! As always with Melody Anne . . . 5 stars!

Declan

Always sad when a really good set of stories comes to an end. Although, we are lucky that with Melody Anne, you never know when one of them might show up in a different series. Declan turned out to be more swoon worthy of a hero than I expected. He was great with Angela and Timothy.

Waited so long to be so disappointed

I really loved reading these books (Arden, Kian, Owen, Declan), fell in love with Declan waited for this on to be realeased and was so disappointed. It was rushed and really no thrills in it. It turned a man of steel into a girl in minutes. The other three books kept to guys tuff and gorgeous but why was Declan turned into a girl??
The only good thing was they didnt stretch out the romance. They liked each other, they talked and worked it out.
You never learnt anything about Declan, his past, what he has seen etc. Never said thanks to his best mates for helping, never heard about if he started work with them. It was very disappointing.

Declan a hero with a heart

Declan is definitely a hero with a heart. Protector of his family, he considers Angela family. Angela is in trouble and takes off. Declan and Owen find her and tell her that they will protect her and keep her and Timothy safe. The bad guys have also found her. Angela has never been able to count on anyone but herself. She is afraid and needs to protect Timothy. When Declan and Owen show up and ask her to let them protect her and Timothy. She is finally convinced that she would be better with them than on her own. Angela is not the smartest woman. I mean if you are on the fun the last place you go is somewhere you have been. You keep a low profile. She really had done nothing right in this escape of hers. She has no way to protect herself or Timothy. Declan is her best bet. He's handsome, sexy, alpha, protector, fbi, caring, sexy hero. They have been lusting after each other from afar. Never easy to give up control but when there is someone willing and able enjoy the help. Declan is everything a man should be but a romantic he is not. I really wanted to smack him upside his head. You don't ask a woman to marry you knowing she carrying your baby and not tell her you want her and love her. That was just stupid. He had no reason not to say it. I was disappointed that there was no mention of Declan offering to adopt Timothy. I was not surprised to find out who Emilio was but so glad for the way it ended. Harrison and Kaleb are childhood friends/brothers of Declan who can rescue me any day! One of the things I love about these series is how it's the men who meddle in the kids business trying to be matchmakers. Joseph, Sherman and Lucian have finished finding spouses for their kids now to see who is next on the list. I can not wait. As always I was sad that the story ended. I always want more!

I am really upset with myself coming to the Undercover Billionaire series so late, because I'm positive that I really missed out. That doesn't mean that I'm not going to catch up, just means that I'm upset it took me so long, because Declan was such a GREAT story by the talented Melody Anne. Declan Forbes considers himself the black sheep in the family, and he's not really down to change that fact. However, even as much as he likes the fact that being a loner doesn't bring drama into his life, he's finding himself lonely more & more. He's an FBI agent, loves his job a ton, strong with a huge heart, and super protective of those he loves, but still feels there's a missing piece of his life puzzle. He's wanted Angela for a while now, as their lethal chemistry just shot more & more sparks the more they interacted, but she's part of the case which he's working on, and she's keeping her mouth shut about everything. This story kept me on the edge of my seat, as twists were around every corner, while my f-bombs were dropping from every direction. And Lawd knows that f-bomb dropping suspense is my jam. Angela was a fantastic heroine that I loved from the get go, as her sassy & strong self really made me happy. As the case got everyone to hoping, trying to keep one step ahead of the bad guys, their chemistry built to the point that it wouldn't be denied, so will they or won't they?! And can Declan keep Angela & her tiny human Timothy safe?! You'll have to one click to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The sexy Black Sheep

Declan Forbes is that unicorn alpha male. Protective, possessive and loves unconditionally, yet provides space (a protective space) for the woman he loves, to grow from the person she’s been for three years, back into her full potential.

Angela Lincoln had no idea of the world she’d been living in until it showed it’s ugly and almost fatal face to her three years ago. Since then, she and her eight-year-old son have been hiding in the town of Edmonds, Washington.

The Anderson clan have far reaching benevolent arms, and the Forbes are a branch of that family. They’re as rich as Croesus but some of the most real people you could ever mix with. I haven’t met these latest characters, but I’m so interested in them, that I’m going back to the start.

Melody Anne was one of my original one-click authors when I first got into the kindle book world, back in 2013, and even though I do have a whole heap of her books, I am totally kicking my own backside for not keeping up. I fell in love with every one of the men in her books, and the strong women who upended their perfect worlds, even as they fell for them. I also love that the meddling fingerprints of one loving but interfering patriarch, Joseph Anderson were threaded through each the books. It was so great to meet him and his family again.

This book, Declan, has rekindled my love for Melody Anne’s books, and I highly recommend them for anyone who does adore those protective and loving alpha males, and demands their HEA. Cos we’re worth it, dammit! 5 stars.

Great book from new-to-me author, Melody Anne. Declan's book is the last in a series about the Forbes family but each book can be read as standalones. (Good thing, too because I started on this one but enjoyed it enough to pick up the brother's books too!) my

Declan is a former Marine turned FBI agent; he's a badass, out to seek justice and protect the innocent and no one is more innocent than Angela and her son.

To say Angela's had a tough life is an understatement. After a horrific crime was committed against her, she fled to small town Edmunds in hopes of peace. She found more trouble instead and she needs help! Despite wanting desperately to believe she can protect herself and her son, she knows in her heart of hearts, she can't do it alone. But trusting men, even the delicious and seemingly honorable, Declan is a stretch. Can she trust him to save them all?

Despite being told they've known each other for several years, the book felt very instalove to me but that's ok because I fell for Declan pretty fast myself. Angela was a great character, full of layers and untapped strength. Declan was delicious but very gentlemanly in dealing with the skittish Angela. Loved getting to know the while Forbes family (I'm catching up on all their stories now) and awesome watching Angela and her precious son blossom. Good read.

This was the book I have been waiting for since the start of the Undercover Billionaire Series, Declan was the man I wanted to know more about and I wasn’t disappointed because his story was everything I expected and more.
Declan the story will certainly keep you on the edge of your seat as you get to know Declan the man, this is a man with so many layers, he is protective, he is caring, he is strong, he can be witty and he loves fiercely and let’s not forget the scorching hot chemistry he shares with Angela. Angela is a woman who deserves the best, she has been through so much and she is determined to give her son Timothy the life he deserves but will Declan be able to keep them safe and sound or will the bad guys track her down once again .......
This is a book that gave me all I feels I want in a great read, it’s romantic, it’s hot and it has the perfect mix of love, passion, mystery and suspense, it has characters I loved and I was so pleased that we got to catch up with a few of my favourite people from previous books. Am I sorry to see this series end yes of course but this author certainty left the best for last. I’m now wondering what’s next from this very talented author who knows how to give us characters and plots that we can’t get enough off.

I have been waiting for Declan’s book since the beginning and it does not disappoint. Declan was always a bit mysterious, maybe a little dangerous and has the alpha vibe. So naturally, I was DYING to know more about it, to see more of him.

This book was intense and so many twists and turns. I truly didn’t know what was going to happen next. I was completely hooked and on the edge of my seat the entire time. I loved Declan even more than I thought I would. There are so many different sides to him and he quickly became my favorite of the Forbes brothers. I also loved Angela. She was a good match when it came to Declan. She has been through so much, but never seemed to give up and would just keep fighting for her and her son.

The chemistry between Declan and Angela was strong, but as the story progressed I felt it just grew and grew. When they finally gave into each other sparks flew! They were so well matched and brought out the best of each other and loved each other with every single ounce of their being.

I am sad to say goodbye to the Forbes but the best was definitely saved for last and Declan is a MUST READ!

Declan and Angela

So the fourth book in this addition to the Anderson's and it's all coming to a head, throughout this series the Forbe's brother's have found their woman, fallen in love and saved their town over and over but there is still danger lurking and Declan Forbe's is not holding back any longer he want's the a..hole's out of his town.

Declan is F.B.I. and a former marine so yep total badass and I have to say totally inept when it comes to women but he is cute about it so I gave him a pass when he missed some steps in the whole relationship thing, you know like asking Angela to be his girlfriend... I mean he got around to it eventually but the whole town knew before Angela...lol which was also kinda funny.

Angel a single Mom who always seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, it's the story of her life so it seems but the Forbe's family has taken her and her son into their family and even though Angela and Declan had been sending sparks flying for years now they have never done anything about it, but now trouble is looking for Angela and Declan will do whatever it takes to Keep her and her son safe and then he is never letting them go

This is a gripping and moving romance with some angst and suspense. The storyline reflects some of the good and bad things happening around us. It's the first book that I have read in this series, and although I would have liked to have known the other Forbes brothers, this stands very well on its own.

Declan is the aloof one amongst his brothers and is married to his job, but secretly he has been admiring Angela from afar. When the past comes back to haunt her, Declan realises that his feelings for her run deeper than he thought. Angela thinks that Declan is out of her league, but the threats on her life change their relationship.

The down to earth Forbes family doesn't discriminate against poverty and supports each other, no matter what. The story doesn't have any lull whatsoever, and is a nailbiter. The twist at the end is totally unexpected and gets the adrenaline flowing.

I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed this realistic and touching story. Very well constructed.

I was kindly issued with an eARC and the views expressed are my personal opinion.

I love Melody Anne. I love her stories and I love her characters. I love her writing and I love her billionaires. This story, ugh, I'm not sure where to start.

Declan was a great alpha character. I loved how strong-willed he will, but at times, that strong-willed nature bothered me. At times I felt like he didn't listen to Angela. At times I felt like he was to dominate. Angela was a great mother. But she was running scared. My heart hurt for her. What bothered me about her character was that she would bend to Declan's will. I didn't like how one minute she had her walls up. She wanted to fight, but then the next she didn't.

All in all, this was a good story. I didn't necessarily like that I felt like I was left hanging in parts. At times I felt the story was rushed. Next I found myself falling in love with Declan, Angela, and Timothy. I loved getting to see old friends. I can't want to see what Melody Anne has in store for us next. I'm not saying I didn't enjoy this story. I actually found myself smiling and liking it. Just missing something for me.

There are many books in the Anderson family and friends series, but the author has wisely divided them up into small family groups with matchmaking Joseph appearing in all of them. All of the books are standalone, but each book in each series builds on the others and are available, for now, on Kindle Unlimited.

This is the last of the series of four books set in Edmonds, Washington. Edmonds is a small town and a great place to live, although I'm not sure where all these billionaires are hiding. Still, the author capture the ambiance of the small town on the outskirts of Seattle. Well done!

Everybody has a secret and Angela's has caught up with her. Fortunately, for Angela and her eight years old son, Timothy, she has worked for Declan's brother since relocating from California. Declan is an FBI agent and he vows to keep them safe.

I recommend this series and this book and look forward to the next offering by this author. Surprisingly (or maybe not) even after all the books in the series, they are still fresh and keep me reading.

So sad this series is coming to an end! I have been a huge fan of the antics and situations that arise in these books relating to Joseph Anderson and have read every single one of Melody’s books relating to it. With this book we see what finally happens with Angela and Declan, after Angela witnesses something that risks not only her life but also her son’s life. With her past being dangerous to begin with, she takes no chances and flees to safety with her son, but Declan tracks her down, and just in time too. This book gives us the culmination of the back and forth with these two in the previous books, and I was so glad we got to read their banter throughout this book. I also love that we finally got more information on Angela and her background as well as what brought her to town in the first place. Overall, another hit from Melody Anne and I can’t wait to see who’s next in Joseph’s hands!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Hooked but hanging...

I’ve been hooked from the beginning and have reread the original and spinoff Anderson’s too many times to count. Some have delighted more than others but never would I complain. I had waited a while for Declan’s story and I was surprised that he was made more approachable than originally made out to be-kind of glad that whole “struggle” of embracing his feelings wasn’t an issue-just unexpected. This book sort of felt a little off for me because so many little things were mentioned but didn’t really go anywhere or seem relevant. The “welcome back” party, the new car, let me shoot a cartel leader but keep it on the down low. I guess I was expecting Declan to exhibit more “alpha” qualities than what was presented. I’ll start from the beginning and reread to see if the flow is different. You really can’t go wrong with any of Melody Anne’s books—I’d fight someone who tried to take my kindle away while reading her books!!

Declan by Melody Anne
“Will he be able to keep her safe? 4 stars”

Declan has wanted Angela since he met her. He’s been waiting until she was ready but when she finds herself in the middle of his investigation, he cannot help but make his move. Will he be able to keep her safe? Or will his feelings for Angela blind him? Only one way to find out.
I genuinely liked Declan and Angela. Them getting together felt like a long time coming. He didn’t want to change her he just wanted to love her and her son. To make their lives better. And it was awesome. Angela had a lot of baggage to get over before she could really be with Declan.
Overall Melody wrote a good story containing a little romance and a little suspense. If you take a chance on Declan I hope you enjoy it.

Be aware, in this book you'll find the very definition of TSTL. It doesn't look like that at the beginning, but when you reach chapter 5, the female character suffers a transformation that keeps you thinking who the heck took over the book. The level of stupidity the woman has in chapter 5, leads you to think that if you google it or if you check it on Wikipedia, "TSTL" will send you straight to Angela's character all along the chapter.

I've never seen anything like that before. I'm astonished. How could a writer create such an idiotic person? I understand the need to put the character at a place and frame where the rest of the book works, but has she to be so very much stupid? Really?

Fortunately, that's ended by chapter 6, and if you can go past chapter 5 (which is really hard to do), this book is the best one of the series by a long shot.

Declan (Undercover Billionaire Book #4) by: Melody Anne

Unpredictable is an understatement. Declan is everything his brothers are not. Mysterious, dangerous and overpoweringly extreme. With a career as mercurial as he is, it was only fair that he find himself head over heart for an equally haunting enigma. The Undercover Billionaire series tip-toed it's way into hearts everywhere with stormy heroes, feisty heroines and intriguingly, suspenseful romance, but Declan blows the roof off the series. Melody Anne amplifies the danger with ultrasonic intensity. With Declan and Angela the story becomes it's own character and takes readers along for the ride. Temptation takes a drastic turn and it's hard to know how it will end.

Get ready for this wild ride in the next standalone in the Undercover Billionaire series!

I haven't read the first three books, but I can say that I didn't feel like I was missing anything.

We follow the two main characters, an FBI agent and the one he's head-over-heels for, as they struggle to keep each other safe from the tragic events that unfold around them and her son.

It's a super suspenseful story that will keep you on the edge of your seat while also providing the right amount of chemistry that will tug at your protective heartstrings.

I gave this one 3 out of 5 stars and recommend this one for readers who love government agents with a protective, suspenseful romance!

Done with this author

## This is my 3rd try with Ms. Anne's books and suffice it to say, my last. I had bad luck with the last two that I had read by her, but decided to give it one more go because of the great reviews. I got to 50% and couldn't take it anymore. Were we even reading the same book? The writing was so juvenile and cheesy. I never understood what it meant when I'd see someone write "it was like it was written by a high schooler". Well I do now. That's exactly what I was thinking of this writing style. Also, THIS DOESN'T STAND ALONE! That should be noted in the description. Apparently these two have had interactions in the last several books. I felt like I came in mid-story. DNF. Can't recommend.

Declan Forbes is on his way!!

This is Declan, book 4 of the Undercover Billionaire series written by Melody Anne. I so love the Forbes men. Declan Forbes is an FBI agent and the last single brother. He is tasked with keeping Angela safe after lusting after her for years. Can Declan protect Angela and her son from the evil that has been chasing her for years? Can he protect his heart at the same time? Something has to give and, lucky for us, it’s the heat between Declan and Angela that blows first. Can Angela learn to trust a man to take care of her? Will she just keep pushing him away? Melody Anne will keep you twisted within the pages from beginning to end. Don’t miss this exciting conclusion to the Undercover Billionaire series.

Action,suspense, drama and romance

I was pleasantly surprised with this book, I didn't expect all the action and suspense. I read the stories of the other three brothers and this one seem to bring a climax to that awful gang that featured in the Kian, Arden and Owen's stories. I love Angela and Declan's story. Angela has been through a lot and she deserved her happy ending for her and her adorable son who desperately needed a father. Declan is the perfect person for them both. I love how the story concluded with closure for Angela with fear of the gang and Declan finally closing the case on them. Will there be a spin off series with the friends that help Declan? Will Declan and his brothers be featured in it?

Well worth the read

I have read a number of reviews by persons who feel many books and series like these are all the same, just the title and characters have changed. But I have read many of them and I disagree and still enjoy each book I read. Some are more exciting than others. Some grab you in a different way than others, but each for me has a different expectation. So, I keep reading and keep enjoying them.
This Undercover Billionaire series, Arden, Owen, Kian, and Declan about the Forbes brothers and their family is just such a read. The plots are different and will definitely hold your interest having you eager to get on to the next book. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Loved this story by Melody! 5 stars for this one, don't miss out!
Meet Declan, the quiet reserved one in his family, working for the FBI on a case that he wants to get solved like yesterday. When Angela witnesses a crime, reports it and takes off, Declan thinks she's got to be connected to it somehow, but he will need to investigate to find out, all while fighting the attraction he has towards her.
Follow their story as Melody writes it so well that you will not be able to put it down! I'm sad this is the end of this series, but I'm sure she's got more great ones up her sleeve! Grab this one asap!

Declan (Undercover Billionaire Book 4) By Melody Anne

I chose this book because I love to read Melody Anne books. Declan is no exception it has love, lust, mystery, intrigue, and a good plot. I also love their fact that family aS a main theme throughout the book as well as current events. A good book to me is one that grabs you from the start and holds you to the end. The only thing. I didn't like is that Angel didn't listen to Declan and put them in danger unnecessarily but of it worked out and add to the believable of the book. This book is for mature reader's. Read the book!
