Very well written novel about a small group of terrorists. A majority of the novel deals with the threat, the action, the personalities and backstory of the terrorists and their quest. Other than a couple of cameo appearances in the novel, David Avivi really doesn't play a major role until the end game.

Don't know if I will carry on with the series. It's going to be hard for the author to keep my attention the way this work did. Highly recommend.

Is a suspenseful book that I would definitely read again and again. Details and action throughout the book. Very detailed from the get go. And it jumps right into the action on the very first page!
Le Docteur is a French professor who seeks to establish a new Islamist world order. He has ties to Al Queda and ISIS. He establishes NEMESIS, his own terrorist organization that strikes out against the infidels. Will he do all that he plans to do or will someone foil his plans?

A well crafted techno thriller...

Whatever flaws we might identify or frustrations we might feel are trivial in comparison to a reader's pure joy in losing himself/herself in a narrative. When all the elements come together: an intriguing plot, thoughtful, profound themes, complex, troubling, characters, and language that make us shudder for its honesty, clarity, and confidence; we gratefully set all analysis aside and give ourselves up to the sheer magic of a great book. And for me, The Dreadful Tango in Paris is such a book.

The Dreadful Tango in Paris is a well crafted mystery, thriller and suspense. In addition, I would imagine that all fans of this genre will love sinking their teeth into this one! This is my first time reading this author and I must say I was very impressed.

The story had every element a good story should have. An exciting plot, attention to detail, but best of all fleshed out, well-written and well-rounded character development. There’s an abundance of well illustrated scenes that really make you feel like you are right there in the story, and that's something I look for in a good book.

The stage is set for Le Docteur, a French professor, who establishes ties with Al Qaeda and ISIS. With a twisted mind he desires to create a new Islamist world order by wreaking havoc and mayhem for humanity. His ferocious loathing for the West leads him to establish NEMESIS, a terrorist organization with the purpose of acting against communists, colonialists, Christians, and Jews. Using both conventional and non-conventional terrorist activities all over Europe, his intention is to cause worldwide fear and panic.

“David Avivi, a senior Mossad official is called in to assist Claire Barthez, a senior French Foreign Service officer in pursuit of the terrorist ring. But can Le Docteur and his associates be found and stopped before they go underground or flee?” I’m afraid you’ll have to keep turning the pages for yourself to find out!

This captivating and commendable work had me immersed from the beginning. The story flowed from scene to scene with ease, and the author shows exceptional skill when it comes to storytelling. There are twists and turns in this page turner that will take the reader on a riveting journey!

It’s one of those stories that come along once in awhile that makes you want to read it non-stop until you get to the end. I’m giving nothing further away here. And this, I hope, will only add to the mystery and enjoyment for the reader!

I’ll certainly be looking forward to reading more from Charles Z David in the future. I would definitely recommend this book. Five stars from me.

In The Dreadful Tango in Paris, Le Docteur is a French professor who seeks to establish a new Islamist world order. He has ties to Al Queda and ISIS, and basically any bad organization you can think of. He establishes NEMESIS, his own terrorist organization that strikes out against virtually anything: communists, Christians, Jews, capitalists. His number one goal is to cause international alarm, and he quickly succeeds in this evil plot.

People grow afraid as Le Docteur’s tactics grow increasingly worse, from crashing a Russian passenger plane to releasing bacteria that can cause injuries and death. With the public terrified, it’s up to David Avivi, a senior Mossad official, and Claire Barthez, a senior French Foreign Service officer, to pursue Le Docteur and his terrorist allies, and stop them, once and for all.

This was a nail-biting, suspenseful thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat. Unfortunately, the plot is all too realistic; in today’s era of mutual hatred between just about anyone and any group of people, it seems only a matter of time before the evil predicament that is at the core of this book, of one man willing to destroy hundreds, becomes reality. However, although the concept is very realistic and that makes it terrifying, it also adds to the integrity of the book, and makes me cheer for the author who was brave enough to take on this subject.

The details are amazing, and the writing is top-notch. Once I started, I couldn’t stop reading, and although the prospect is quite terrifying, it does make for an exciting, riveting thriller.

This was a really action packed book that never stops. I enjoyed reading it. I was actually surprised at how much I enjoyed this book because it is not my normal genre. I decided to read it on a whim because it sounded interesting. I liked some of the characters...and loved to hate others. The plot was real and believable and kept me reading because I wanted to see how it all played out. I am sure others will enjoy reading this book as well. I would recommend it to others.

Interesting

This series was recommended as an excellent spy/espionage genre. Although David Avivi is the supposed protagonist, he appears very little in this novel, and that was a little disappointing. The story line was excellent, hence 4 stars. I’ll make any recommendations until I read more of the series.

Intriguing Story

The Dreadful Tango barreled along at a breakneck pace. Dialogue added depth to the story. The narrative resembled a kind of reporting of facts more than a traditional fictional narrative. Kept me interested.

Overall this book was ok. I felt the pace was inconsistent and the last few chapters felt rushed. Furthermore the climax of the story was unfortunately pretty anticlimactic. I liked the general premise of the story; it showed an interesting perspective but not my favorite.

Personally for me I find the main character hard to connect with which made me detached from the storyline. The speed of the book was all over the place and I found a few problems within describing the culture. I appreciate what this author was trying to do but for me it just didn't work at all

A well written, fast paced thriller that could be taken from the pages of today's newspapers or TV reporting. The characters are well drawn and the tempo keeps pace through out the book. The action is completely believable in our world today. I am looking forward to more David Avivi novels in the future.

This book is not one I would normally grab to read and I am definitely not a science person! I feel that the book was well written and kept my interest up. Every time I thought I knew what was coming next there was a twist or turn.

The tragic events in this book are are something we could easily hear in our news today. The fact that people are so easily turned or raised to believe is a scary situation! The fact that one person or belief can be used to easily manipulate a person or many people is done everyday. Mr. Wolfe did a wonderful job with his writing to keep you on your toes and to keep a typical romance reader reading outside her box. Well done Mr. Wolfe, well done! I can’t wait to read more of your writings!

Fate at work

Fate or any unknown force intervened in the work of of a young female scientist and a dangerous strain of microbe was born. This was used by a young Islamic fanatic and his leader to create chaos. The leader was set in destroying world democracies and setting the whole eorld in chaos. He didn't care how many millions of lives his plans will cost. Secret and powerful agencies were after him and his followers. His immediate plans were derailed but he escaped and the danger is still alive and well. This tale mixes facts and fiction in a very credible plot. I found the narrative a little dry, it painted a world of intrigue viewed from the outside, without emotions. I also question who r what powers were behind the leader, someone must be providing financial support since millions were spent in his endeavors.

Boring read

To much irrelevant detail makes this a long drawn out and boring read not a thrilling nor an exciting read.

Ripped from the Headlines?

What a ride. Lots of twists and turns. Can’t believe Numbia could be so naive. Le Doctour lives on. I don’t know how they continue to kill people and not caught. Seems like this could happen today.

A Suspenseful Technothriller

The Dreadful Tango in Paris: Islamic terror strikes the Colonialists, Crusaders and Communists (Techno thriller, Mystery & Suspense Book 5) by Charles Z David is book 5 of 5 in this series. The story is full of suspense right from the word go. In fact, characterization and storytelling are brilliant. Probably this would be one of the best thrillers with so many engrossing moments. The plot has many turbulent sequences with a lot of twists. Every twist is suspenseful and beyond expectation. The story revolves around a leading French professor, Le Docteur. The professor has devastating ill intentions and for this, he needs to join hands with bigger power working in the same direction. Thus, he joins hands with the terrorist groups Al Qaeda and ISIS.

The professor, in fact, wants to create a new Islamist world. And he knows that to achieve this he will have to create chaos and panic in the world. The reason behind his evil intentions lies in his severe hatred towards the West. The Dreadful Tango in Paris thus intends to entertain you with a lot of thrill. The professor develops NEMESIS which is a terrorist group. And this terrorist group, in fact, hates communists, Christians, Jews, and colonialists. The group thus goes against these four via various conventional and non-conventional activities. These terrorist activities start happening across Europe thus raising a global alarm. Thus in wake of these series of attacks, a situation of panic starts building up. All of a sudden, a number of serious incidents establish these indications of panic.

The Dreadful Tango in Paris Is A Super Toast of Suspense and Thrill. The story of The Dreadful Tango in Paris thus takes a serious turn. A plane crash in mysterious circumstances, a biological disorder turning harmless bacteria in the body into pathogenic form thus causing death are some of those incidents. A state of fear thus evolves all around the world. All this starts impacting the economy, political situation, culture, and harmony. And this gives more strength to the extremist right wing. But that is not the end. A lot more severe is there to happen. Rather two intelligence officers, one from Israel and another from France are given a chance to break this jinx. Will the duo succeed? How much will further damage professor Le Docteur cause? Just grab a copy of The Dreadful Tango in Paris.
