After a horrific car accident that claimed the life of her sister, she has struggled to return to a normal life. But on a cold winter day what seemed like a harmless text on her cell phone changed everything.

Joel M. Andre (1981-Present) was born in Cottonwood, Arizona.
From a young age Andre knew his passion was to write tales that shocked and sent chills down the spines of readers. But it was not where he began.
During his teen years he focused his attention to writing poetry in the style of Poe. His work dark often lifted the brow of friends. But the passion was there, and soon the winter wonderland that consumed Lauren Bruni was created.
Oh WOW once I sat down to read this one I didn't even wanna take a bathroom break! It was intense and I could hardly contain myself waiting to see who was behind the text and computer messages.
I had a few minor issues with grammer but not enough to take anything from the story and as much as I loved the story, the characters just didn't have enough depth for me. Can't really put my finger on how to explain this but it was like they didn't put forth enough emotion for a realistic person but still it was a quick and roller coaster of a read!
Casey is no stranger to death. After her father's death she is in an auto accident which leaves her sister and four others dead. And now she is getting strange texts messages demanding she kill for the mysterious person (or is it a ghost)?
Her life spirals downward and others start dying. Others beleive she is insane and maybe she is...
Often as a plot thickens, you get a great story that's pretty good. As a spirit goes terribly wrong, the life of the accused goes extremely bad. A quick tale that draws you in and doesn't let go until the end.
This was a great book. It had just the right amount of creep factor for me. Casey was every parent’s dream daughter. She was the one who always tried to do the right thing. She witnessed her father’s death years before. She constantly tried to cover for her rebellious sister. Her mother knew her youngest daughter was a problem. She was also aware that Casey tried to cover for her sister. On the night that Casey has to once again rescue her sister, they are involved in a horrific car accident. Many people died including Casey’s sister. Shortly after she returns homes she starts receiving mysterious messages on her phone and computer. This strange being who has begun to haunt her wants her to kill for it.
Just about the time I thought I had figured out who was haunting Casey and why, the story takes another strange turn. I honestly never saw the ending coming. This is a book that you must read. Find out what this spirit wants from Casey and what it is willing to do to get it. Find out the twisted end that will leave you scratching your head. You won’t see it coming.
A tragic accident has taken first Casey’s father, and now her sister when they are involved in a collision that kills everyone involved except Casey. Just as Casey is adjusting to life without her sister and getting herself back to normal, she starts to get mysterious text messages – telling her that she owes the sender, and that she must perform some task. The text message says “Kill for me, Casey.” Who is it? Why are they after her? How will she survive what is to come? Will she be able to protect her mother?
I’ve read a number of stories and books by Andre, and this is my favorite one by far. The characters are much better developed than normally, and the plot is smooth and flows nicely. The levels of horror and suspense are high, and the twists toward the end are wonderful! Definitely check this one out!
I am having a hard time with all of the 4and5 star reviews after reading this book. The conversations between the people were awful, really who talks like this.? The plot was surprisingly good but was marred by the stilted conversations. This had the potential to be a pretty good read.
