Can being from two different worlds keep them apart?
Noah Wells has been the “it” movie star of teen rom-coms for the past two years — he’s successful, talented, but is ready to take on more serious roles. When his latest flick The Kissing Tower brings him to Cedar Oaks, he never intends to meet Addie, let alone fall for her.
Addie Schrader claims she has no time for fun. When she’s not at school, she’s teaching dance at a local studio or serving food at her Uncle Mike’s diner. But when the famed and gorgeous Noah Wells shows up, Addie wonders if it’s time to start really living.
Addie falls hard for Noah, but will that be enough to overcome his celebrity, the paparazzi, and her loyalty to her small home-town?
All books in the Never Ever Love series are short, sweet, swoon-worthy, and can be read in any order!
Noah Wells is an 18-year-old actor who is a big star in many teen romantic comedy movies. He is a very handsome and charismatic guy, but in spite of many chances to be promiscuous, he is not a womanizer. His current goal is to move into more serious, dramatic roles, but his manipulative agent is holding him back.
Addie Schrader is an orphan who has been living with her Uncle Mike since she was five years old. She has never dated or been kissed, because she’s just too busy for boys. In addition to school, she works as a waitress at her uncle’s diner and teaches dance to pay for dance lessons. Her passion is dancing, and she would love to become a professional dancer. Unfortunately, she feels she has no right to pursue her dream because she owes a huge debt of gratitude to her uncle and the kind people of Cedar Oaks, the small town where she lives, for caring for her as an orphaned child.
Then suddenly Noah comes to town, playing the lead role in a teen romantic comedy movie, The Kissing Tower, that is filming in Cedar Oaks. When he and Addie meet, the attraction is instantaneous, intense and mutual. Noah very much wants to pursue a relationship with Addie, but she can’t help thinking that their two worlds are too far apart for the two of them to ever successfully become a couple.
This G-rated, teen novella is a very quick, pleasant read. It is told from both points of view of Addie and Noah, which I personally much prefer in a romance novel rather than the first-person point of view of only the heroine.
In spite of how short it is, this is a complete, well-rounded story. Noah and Addie are both very hard-working, compassionate, honorable people, and it is easy to like them and root for their happiness.
As soon as I stepped foot in the coffee shop, scents of pumpkin spice and mocha goodness filled up my nostrils. There was nothing like the smell of fall in a small-town coffee shop to make me feel at home.
Gaahh! This girl was too perfect, and I was utterly and totally in like with her. Maybe even more than that.
“I’m as serious about firing you as I am about being with that beautiful girl standing over there.”
Another sweet, cute and short novella by Juliet Bardsley. Even though this was a really short novella, it had lots of details and juicy scenes. If you’re looking for a story about first kisses and first love, then this series is for you. 4.5
Wonderfully fantastic... The book was amazing... It had a lot of details and juicy scenes to it... The characters and their personalities match them perfectly... The plot and the storyline was very descriptive and amazing...
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I love each and everyone of these novella’s they short, sweet, and have so heart in them. There is little drama but not overwhelming amount. My favorite is the first one in the series but all the rest a great too.
Predictable & cheesy, but I figured that going in. Several editing errors, but the best was: “Beginner foot pain stems from tight extensor hallucinations longus.” Hallucinations! I LOLed.
This book was short, but it was also really good too. It was way better than her Fallen For My Summer Fling. That book was kind of dull to me. But with this book, it caught my attention from being to end. & I was also glad when Noah got rid of his agent Spencer because, in the celebrity world, a lot of famous people do have those types of agents who don’t want them to be happy and go for things they don’t want.
It was good to see Noah speak out and told Spencer how it was and how it is with the way he felt and about where he wanted to take his career. Including where and who he wanted to be with, and that was Addie. It’s was funny how he wanted Noah with Rachel, who cheated on him with a pop singer or whatever the guy was. When neither of them wished to each other. Well, clearly, I didn’t know what Rachel wanted. But she definitely was jealous of Addie. & thought she was going to get Noah back, but Noah didn’t want fake he wanted real, and that what he got with Addie; his little dancer.
Not only that, it was good that both Noah and her uncle Mike help her to understand that she (Addie) didn’t have to live for everyone else but to also live for herself. & I was glad In the end she ended up where she wanted to be in New York City and dancing... making a career for herself with something she loved.
This was a very quick read. Fast paced and to the point. There is just a sweet note of innocence that I loved. There could definitely be more to the story, with background and depth, but it's still a cute read.
This was my first read from this author and I enjoyed it very much. I would have no problem letting my teen read this book. I would definitely be checking more books from this author.
