Patricia Ann Kay was born on 7 March 1937 in a small town in northeastern Ohio, USA, where she raised along with three younger sisters. She considers herself a very lucky woman. The family didn’t have a lot of money, but she says that didn’t matter, because what they did have was worth more than money — a happy home. Her parents had a good marriage and they doted on their four daughters. That upbringing is reflected in the stories she writes. As readers all over the world have discovered, her books are filled with warmth and love of family.

Pat has lived in upstate New York, Northern Alabama, Southern California, and Stockholm (Sweden), and since 1969, in Houston, Texas with her husband. She says that no matter where she’s lived, she’s found that people everywhere are the same and want the same things: love and committed relationships. The marriage has three terrific grown children. They currently share their home with two longhaired cats, and a backyard filled with squirrels, birds, and other critters. Her hobbies and other interests include reading, walking for exercise, going to the movies and the theater, swimming, and traveling.

In 1990, Pat sold her first romance novel to Silhouette. Since then, more than four million copies of her novels have been published in eighteen different countries. Today, Patricia Kay, alias Ann Patrick and Trisha Alexander, is an USA Today bestselling author of 50 novels of romance and women's fiction.

I kept waiting for this to get better...but just couldn't get past a man who is so weak-willed it was ridiculous! And a woman who knowingly has a relationship with a married man, knowing he has no balls to get out of a marriage he never wanted.

Apparently.

The writing was good but I didn't like the story. At all.

I would only recommend this story to someone who likes stories where the adulterers get a happy ending and the cheated spouse gets nothing but the privilege of living alone with the hurt, betrayal and misery caused by the faithless pair. What makes it worse, is that the "other woman" is the poor-pitiful-me kid sister of the wife. This was truly a frustrating and disappointing story for me.

I expected more from this book. When H caught supposedly wheelchair-bound wife, walking and trying on clothes (he came back from a trip unexpectedly - wife did not hear him), I was entertained. Kind of a soapy moment. Wife was screaming threats at him while he packed and walked out the door. I would've appreciated something in the epilogue about the divorce/wife. 2 ok stars.

Not bad. I received this by mistake actually. So rather then return..I read it!

It was good writing. But not the type of book I usually read. Nothing wrong with it.

SPOILERS:

VERY very predictable. Single woman, married man, rich guy. Poor girl. Mom does not want son to marry her but they just cannot keep away from each other..

It sort of reminded me of a Danielle Steel book or a Harlequin romance. But hey..I read till the end and the end was delightful. So all in all..good read!

The cover led me to think this would be a chick lit. To my surprise it read more like a Harlequin Superromance with heroine being the nice ow in the story. I hated the weak hero, not for cheating on his shrew of a wife but for never having a backbone.

A beautifully written and compelling story!

From back cover:

"Adam Forrester is a good man. An honest, reliable, responsible man. He would never do anything to hurt his lovely, fragile wife, Julia. He would never dream of disappointing his family or jeopardizing his law career. Then he sees Natalie Ferrenzo again...

When Adam looks into her beautiful eyes, the years and circumstances that have separated them for so long melt away. He remembers holding her in his arms, feeling a love like no other. He remembers the day he left her forever - to marry Julia. It was what was expected of him, but it was not what he wanted. He wanted Natalie - desperately, passionately, hopelessly. And now that fate has brought them together again, he must decide what he's willing to give up to have her..."

Nice romance, not smut, but an epic love story that spans 20 years. My only complaint is that Julie, the ex-wife didn't get enough of what was coming to her.

.
Adam is one of the weakest hero I've ever read. He's a lawyer, smart, handsome, responsible yayaya but gullible and too kind for his own good it was frustrating. 😐
h Natalie deserved better.
Even the manipulative ex/wife Julia deserved better.

Great writing but rushed ending. After all of the telenovela drama, I wanted to see more of the MCs as a "free" couple.

This was a difficult book to rate. It was well written but the plot's unusual infidelity theme made me uncomfortable. I hate to see books which reward infidelity and this one does indeed reward two cheaters. Sadly if either the H or h had developed a backbone they could have been together years ago. I didn't like either the H or h so I found no way to empathize. The author did an excellent job with an unusual plot line and I rewarded her with the four stars. If I rated the book simply on whether I liked it I would give this book one star. As it stands I would never purchase a book that rewarded a cheating spouse.

This was a story I was not willing to like. Adultery is no a favorite story I like to read. But the author is one that I know. But I did enjoy this book. It had enough angst and drama that kept me interested. The wife was from hell. She manipulated and deceived everyone. The husband was so torn. The Other Woman was endearing and I rooted for her to have her HEA ending.I will reread this book again. Can't wait to read more by Patricia Kay.

To be honest, I was a bit skeptical before reading this, but I enjoyed it. I felt sorry for Adam and the predicament he was in and I do wish he would of man up and divorced Julia way long before he did. Adultery is never okay no matter what, even though the author tried to make it okay due to Adam being married to someone he never wanted to marry in the first place.. I would of liked more happier moments with Adam and Natalie. Maybe more about their married life and raising their children.

I found the story disturbing, that people will cheat, and find excuses to make it permissible. It jumped around a lot, took me forever to follow who was who. It had a good twist in the end, but it was not one of my favorite reads. I kept reading a chapter, putting it aside, picking it back up, until I finally finished it.

5 stars for The Other Woman. This read required Kleenex so break them out early on. A story of love, family, and finally getting it right.

I don't read books where there is cheating , but I'm glad I took a chance it was my first book by the author also and I must say beautifully written. It's a beautiful love story, find love lost love ,pain sadness and happiness. I love it.
