It only took a day for me to lose everything.
But give me nine months and my best friend’s brother, and I can get it all back.

Just last week I was living the high life.
That was before my swindling father bilked me out of my trust fund, and now I’m penniless.
When I told my grandmother about my plight, she reminded me of a clause in her will stating that whoever gives her

Romance, Puppies, and Clown Porn, Ha!
Author MCKENNA JAMES is on a roll. She has written another fun romance even though the storyline is not an original one. What does make it a delightful read are the characters the author has assembled, especially Valentina and Hudson, and allowed to play off each other in a way that doesn’t seem forced or unnatural. Well, except for Cousin Amanda; that character was a little over the top.
The premise is of a rich young woman, Val losing all her trust fund mo

Valentina was brought up in a world of wealth and entitlement but, when her father was carted off to jail for fraud, her world imploded. She found out, when she tried to pay a bill with her credit card, that her father had emptied her trust fund and her bank account. She's desperate for a job! Her first day on the job didn't go well so she did something she would never have done under any other circumstance. She went to talk to her grandmother, even though the old woman doesn't appear to care fo ...more

Valentina has grown up in a wealthy family, so she has a big trust fund, on top of having an easy life as a young adult. However, one day out of the blue, she learns that her father is in jail, being charged with fraud, so any money he has, is frozen, which leaves Valentina in a bad spot, especially since he took her trust fund as well, so she has no money to even survive. And this is when she has to go out & get a job, which isn't the easiest path for her, and she's hired at a high end baby ...more

I have not had the pleasure of reading McKenna James before reading, Baby Inheritance. I have to say I am impressed with her writing and her newest wordy creation.

In, Baby Inheritance, we meet Valentina, your average “trust fund” baby, and Hudson, your average person. Valentina and Hudson could not be more different if they tried but they do have one thing in common. They both need money.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Valentina and Hudson. Valentina was a rich, spoiled woman who had her father to pay for everything in her life. When she learned her father was arrested and she was left broke, she went to see her grandmother. Valentina's grandmother was a mean woman who hated her father, but she agreed to give Valentina money, but with conditions, she wanted her to get married and have a baby. Hudson owned his own construction company, but he was ...more

James had me really worried about how Valentina and Hudson would make ends meet. Valentina has never worked a day in her life and is used to a high society lifestyle. Her father has been jailed, accused of fraud, and her credit cards are closed, her trust fund empty, and her check to pay this month's rent on her penthouse has bounced. Hudson is a worker; however, his small business has fallen on hard times, he is behind on paying all his suppliers and worried about making payroll. What else do t ...more

Valentina's world has been turned upside down thanks to her father. And now she has no money left to live and she has only one option which was to give her grandmother and great grandbaby and she would have access to all her wealth. Hudson is a man who is trying to keep his business running, which is almost impossible since his company hasn't been successful.

Valentina proposed an offer which will help both of them, and the bonus is that she had a crushed on him for a long time. In the midst

Loved this! Valentina has it easy and has everything she could want in life, until in one moment it is all taken away from her. She is now broke and panicking so she heads to the one place she swore she would never go...her grandmother's. There is hope for Valentina, if she gives her grandmother a grandchild and a stable relationship! While her life is falling apart, Hudson (her best friend's brother) is having money problems of his own. One offhand comment from her best friend has Valentina's m ...more

When Valentina's father is charged with fraud her life is turned upside down, especially as he's also taken her trust fund. Her grandmother is all to willing to help her but with a few conditions.
Hudson is the brother of Valentina's bestfriend, she's also hoping he will be the answer to all her problems but when he learns the conditions will he feel the same?

I thoroughly enjoyable read from McKenna James. I really liked Hudson and Valentina they were characters that were easy to connect with an

A good storyline with enjoyable characters. Valentina comes from money so when she loses it, she's not quite sure what to do. Her dad is being held in jail and won't let her see him and he's the one who put her in this position. She's been very spoiled her whole life, what will she do now? Hudson owns his own company but it isn't doing very well. When Valentina approaches him with a proposal will he accept? You'll have to read to find out.

“McKenna did it again! She wrote a marvelous story with the perfect storyline. The characters personalities were enjoyable, charming and simply splendid. Their love story was sweet and beautiful. Since they met the sparks between Val and Hudson were settled. They were the ideal definition of ‘fake it till you make it’. It was such a great book that I don’t want to give you spoilers so you can fully enjoyed this book. I highly recommend it.”

This story is fantastic! The characters are personable, and the way they fall in love is so sweet. Even knowing their relationship was suppose to be fake, the first time they’re together you can tell there’s a pull between them. They are really great people,e that deserve great things, but she did need to be brought down a peg or two. I’m voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book from Bad Boys Updates.

Good one!

I really enjoyed this fairy tale. The financial woes were very realistic but the lack of how it was dealt with left me confused. There was never a real time answer for it. The holes left by not enough interaction with the grandmother, who was supposed to be essential to their survival, only added to the confusion. The love story however was very tender...enjoyed it!

Baby Inheritance

What people won’t do for money and to keep living in the lifestyle their used to. This story of Valentina’s, finds her suddenly without funds, only to find out what she has been used to no longer is an option. So, she must rethink her way of living. Funny story, yet ends up with a romantic flair.

Inconvenient desperation calls for drastic measures of the naughty kind. James tries her hand at a relationship of convenience story with surprising results. Baby Inheritance starts out slow and works it's way up to deliciously sweet. Hudson and Valentina take the subtle approach to a fast paced attraction and make it impossible not to fall in love.

It was such a great book! I love a good fake relationship trope! Val & Hudson had some amazing chemistry. And I loved that there was the dramatic aspect of will Val beat her cousin?! I didn't want to put the book down!

The premis is good. The execution, not so much. Most of the story lines had no resolution, and the math of pregnancy was a little disconcerting.

The great storyline and the wonderful characters lured me right in from the very beginning and the interaction and chemistry between Valentina and Hudson kept me turning the pages until the very end!
