Sparks of attraction and discord fly between the two men as they hunt Blackbeard’s treasure together. Will the new lovers find the treasure they’re looking for or will they realize the real find of a lifetime is each other?
Sick of the slogging rat-race of her 9-5 job, Pandora Pine put pen to paper (literally!) to make her ambition of becoming a romance novelist a reality. Its time Memphis follows his dream now that the family legacy has been fulfilled.
Memphis and Tynan are sweet men that have slight trust issues in the beginning. I have to say though I didn’t really feel the connection at first between the two. There was definitely insta-lust, but I even felt a little off with that. I think there wasn’t enough build-up for me for the connection to seem genuine, but only at first. Once the story got to the thick of things, I thought the two had a wonderful connection.
Anyways, the story itself was great and I enjoyed the fascinating history and search for Blackbeards treasure. I loved how Memphis had Cairo, Dillinger and Magnus along for the adventure.
Something I love about Pandora Pine is how she brings other characters from previous books and weaves them into the new story. This was a wonderful mystery that has me excited to see what happens with the rest of the series.

With Finding Alexander behind them, the Vanderbilt boys had one more adventure under their sleeves. Now it was Memphis's dream come true to hunt Blackbeard. With the dream came reality. Needing boat owner Tynan's help should have been a slam dunk, but the man had a bad relationship that coloured his future. Could these two overcome it all and solve the mystery? This book was interesting and quick solving. With some angst, it bought Blackbeard's thoughts to life.
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.
This was such a great book. I loved Cairo in the first book, but I definitely think Memphis is my favorite twin. He was so sweet and down to earth. Tynan had been burned before, but I was glad that he was able to put his past a little behind him so that he could trust Memphis and his team. Looking for Blackbeard’s treasure was cool. Loved the book and the growing relationship between Tynan and Memphis. Hope we can find a love for Magnus now. ❤️
I am voluntarily reviewing an ARC provided by the author
This follow up to Finding Alexander concentrates on Memphis Vanderbilt, twin brother of the MC from Alexander.
After their success in Egypt, Memphis finds himself at a loss and decides to go back to a childhood dream and look for the treasure of Blackbeard the pirate. He and his brother Cairo, Cairo’s fiance Dillinger and their best friend Magnus head to North Carolina’s Ocracoke Island where they meet up with Tynan Seneca a dive instructor and boat owner who they hire to help them on their expedition.
A lot of the book centers on Memphis coming to terms with his relationship with his now deceased father and Tynan has similar father issues. Tynan also has a slimy ex who has left him damaged and that creates problems between he and Memphis.
The relationship develops quickly but the author does a nice job detailing the emotional journey. The mystery and investigation surrounding Blackbeard is interesting and I like the way it builds. It seems to go a bit too easy making you wonder why no one else has figured any of this out before though Memphis does have an advantage.
The two crisis moments are so freaking easy to predict. The relationship crisis is practically a requirement in this type of story so it makes me a little sad that we ended up there. It’s too pat. And the suspense story crisis is so clearly predictable that it is annoying as no one as experienced as these guys would allow the circumstances that allow it to happen, particularly given the recent events that serve as a crystal clear warning. The whole thing seemed so anti-climatic and made the ending of the book something of a let down. The message at the end is uplifting and sends a great message. I just couldn’t help but feel like something was missing given how I usually feel after one of this author’s books. I’m hoping there is a book three with Magnus’ story and things pick up again.
Even though there was a MAJOR plot editing error in the last beach scene and all the missing words and all of the "wrong" words... I still loved this story! I know, I am a sucker for a Pandora Pine book!
The tropes for both books in this series were basically identical, but with a slight twist, so I kinda' had a good idea of where this one was going to go. That being said, I thought Memphis and Tynan were perfect together and as usual, just needed to pull their heads out of their asses and get things figured out! Romance novels... *shakes head*
Side note: I guess I will spend forever wondering if Magnus and Dex ever get together... or, I could just make up a HEA for them myself!!! 🥰🤔🤣
Giving up on a dream isn't easy. Especially one that you've had since you were a young boy. So when you have the opportunity to search for it you may be amazed at how much of a treasure is out there waiting for you!
Enjoy every book that Ms. Pine has written. Memphis and Tynan are great characters along with the others in their crew. Hunting for pirates treasure is a dream of so many children. Enjoyed this book.
I am really enjoying the Lost Treasures series. Right alongside some great characters and relationships, we get to be there are historical searches are underway for lost treasures. Book two focuses on Memphis and his search for Blackbeard's treasure. In order to help him and the family, he takes on Tynan and his boat to help them locate and get to the the coves that are out of reach by foot. There's an instant connection between the two men upon meeting, though for me things moved a little quicker than I was expecting. There was tangible excitement from both men as they have dreamed of Blackbeard and his story for years, the chance to find anything to do with the famous pirate not to be missed. Pandora writes an fantastic and interesting story with a lot of information and backstory for Blackbeard including his time not at sea. I'll be honest and say I have no idea what may be fact or fiction but it all works so very well together, really drawing me into the plot and possibility of buried treasure. As with the MC's relationship, the pacing of the action was slightly off with a lot happening towards the last quarter of the book and not evenly across the story but it didn't detract from the story itself and how enjoyable it is to read. We get Cairo, Magnus and Dillinger along for the ride giving Mephis unconditional support but also a lot of fun and excitement with the search. Definitely a must read from me. Fans of the first book will enjoy the second in the series, though it's not necessary to have read I think it will enhance the experience as you get to know the characters and their relationships. I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
Set some time after Finding Alexander, Hunting Blackbeard sees Memphis (twin brother to FA's main character, Cairo) is lost, rudderless. Whilst his brother is off travelling the world with his man, Dillinger, Memphis realises he needs to find his own passion again & he looks back to the childhood mission of finding Blackbeard's treasure which was cruelly quashed by his father.
Tynan had a similar back story in that his father refused to let him follow his dream, however he was turned out when his father discovered Tynan was gay. Having been 'set free' he went back to the place that held the happiest memories - the sea.
Despite their instant attraction, both Memphis & Tynan have trust issues: Memphis from glory hunters wanting to ride his coat tails & Tynan from a bad experience with a former client /lover which left him severely injured almost cost him his reputation & business. There are twists, turns & dangers to overcome before the main characters reach the conclusion to their story, but the team from Finding Alexander & Tynan's friend, Dex, are on hand to help solve the clues that might lead to treasure Blackbeard could have left behind centuries before.
Hunting Blackbeard is another winning combination of action, adventure, archaeology & romance. If I have one criticism (& it is only very minor because of my personal reading preferences) it's that Memphis & Tynan's relationship felt a bit 'insta' at some points, however it doesn't detract from the feeling that these two guys are truly meant for each other. 4.5*

Wow! True chemistry, adventure, and humor! Fantastic!
I loved Hunting Blackbeard and everything about it! I found this even surpassed book 1 and Memphis and Tynan’s chemistry is some of the most organic, and believable (lust at first sight to feelings to a relationship) I’ve read! From their first meeting, I could literally feel the heat. I was surprised by this because I have read A LOT of books and many of Pandora’s but this one felt different. I could actually feel the emotions and connection between these two; more than I have before. I felt the sparks, chemistry, intellect, and interest on another level. I loved both Memphis and Tynan and found them unique and interesting and I love a great treasure hunt!
Pandora has made the historical aspects so much fun and I was swept up in the ride to find Blackbeard’s treasure and unlock more about the man. A great adventure with lust, love and found family along the way! I loved the banter and wit both between Memphis and Tynan but also the whole family they’ve made. I enjoyed seeing Cairo, Dillinger, and Magnus and loved the introduction of Dex. I look forward to Magnus’ story and am really interested to see where Pandora will take us and who might win poor Magnus’ heart!
An adventurous tale, of the charts chemistry and true heart! Another winner in my books!!
I am so glad we got Memphis' story, now we need Magnus :) Anyway, this book starts with Memphis not knowing what he wants to do with himself after the finding of Alexander w/his twin, Dillinger and Magnus. He thinks back to when he was a child and what he wanted to do is find Blackbeard's treasure and tried to talk his father into doing that but he shoots Memphis down. Now, he figures why not, he can look for it. Tynan also had a POS father who only cared about Tynan joining his agency after he gets out of college. He does but when his father walks in on him w/another man, he is disowned & fired. He heads to the only place he ever felt a connection to, Ocracoke Island. So when Memphis finds a clue to where the treasure may be buried, he contacts Tynan & hires him & his boat to do the investigation. When they first meet, there is an instant connection but both of them have trust issues. Tynan's ex is a vicious POS who nearly got Tynan killed & his reputation ruined. Unfortunately he does pop up. The hunt was exciting & I felt like I was right there with them & was so excited when they got a new lead. There were enough twists, turns & dangers to keep me on the edge of my seat. I loved Dex, Tynan's friend & he sound like a lot of fun. I loved how Cairo, Dillinger and Mangus jumps right in to help him, they are an awesome family!

The second installment in the Lost Treasures series, is so much fun. As this story builds on the first book, Finding Alexander, you should read it first. This book focuses on Memphis, Cairo’s twin brother. As a child Memphis was always fascinated with Blackbeard. As the original expedition group from Finding Alexander gathers in North Carolina, he meets a kindred spirit in boat operator Tynan. The heat between Memphis and Tynan is off the charts from the start, but as only Pandora can do, the past creeps in and threatens to tear them apart. With time as their enemy, Memphis leads the group on the hunt of his dreams to locate the missing Blackbeard treasure. He hires Tynan for his knowledge of the Outer Banks. Tynan is reluctant to work for Memphis, after an almost tragic experience with another treasure hunter. Will these two get past their distrust of each other? Will they prove to be more than just lustful for each other? Will they survive the outside forces trying to beat them to the treasure? Will they find the treasure? Well, I’m not going to spoil it here, so you’ll just have to read this book and find out. Another five-star storyline from Pandora. I hope there will be more books in this series, especially a story for Magnus.
Hunting Blackbeard is a great follow up to Finding Alexander in the Lost Treasures series. The focus is on Memphis this time as he finally gets to go on the quest he has longed for since childhood - Blackbeard! As with the first in the series, I was hooked on the adventure, action and a very sweet romance. Although I was a little surprised at how fast things moved between Memphis and Tynan, the characters were well-fleshed out and I was able to feel the instant connection between them. Just like Cairo and Dillinger in the first book in the series, Memphis and Tynan has their share of obstacles, pining and miscommunication. I'll admit I do love these little touches of angst as they keep me vigorously turning the pages to get to the happy ending. Memphis and Tynan had this in spades and made my heart race on more than one occasion!
Hunting Blackbeard had a little of everything to keep me invested, and while it is a bit of instalove, it is no less of an emotional and heart-stopping journey. It was also great to see Cairo, Dillinger and Magnus all back again for the ride!

I was already a fan of this author (check out her other series if you haven’t!), but hadn’t tried this newest series yet. I realized book 2 was coming out and I hadn’t read book 1, which I immediately rectified and loved it. I loved this as well.
The concept is great-find a treasure, find yourself along the way, and hopefully find an HEA too. Well done and very appealing. I love the romance and the characters but also like the plot and premise. It’s also at least as far as I’ve discovered so far pretty unique and since I real a lot that’s nice to find. I don’t know enough to know how accurate some of the historical/hunting details are but I don’t actually care- it’s fiction, it’s fun, and it flows well.
Memphis & Tynan each had some things to work out, some insecurities to overcome. I liked how they figured things out both individually and together...chemistry and intense heat was a wonderful part of it too. I loved meeting them plus seeing favorites from book 1.
Overall loved it, and the first one. Looking forward to what’s next-admittedly I’m hoping it’s Magnus’ story but I’m sure I’ll love it regardless!
Delightful adventure with secrets, treasure and a fun historical romp. I really enjoyed these characters. Both MC's have scars on their hearts yet are such good men. The writing flowed and the characters were well written. I really loved how the research into the treasure hunt was made fun and really brought a part of history to life. I really enjoyed the depth that Tyran's mentor Dex brought to the story, he is such a great character.
Memphis andTynan's journey is steamy, heartfelt and will mend their souls as they find the true definition of what love is. Their discovery of real treasure was wonderful and i so enjoyed being along for the experience. I loved seeing Cairo, Dillinger and Mangus again! Memphis has a wonderful made family, especially with Tyran joining them.
This is book two of the Lost Treasures series and can be read as a stand-alone. However i read book one and i really enjoyed the character development of Memphis and other characters that are in this book. I am so looking forward to Mangus's book and i hope it will be coming soon!
I was gifted this book from the author and i freely give my honest opinion and review.
To The Victors Go The Pizza Rolls! Ok, so that title is an in-joke from the prologue of this book. But it is also indicative of the fun of this book. More on the romance side than the adventure side (vs the first book in this series being a bit more equal between the two/ maybe slightly more on the adventure side), this book keeps the romance as the central piece while the adventure is more there to drive the romance plot along than anything. Some very interesting commentary about reviews included that while overtly are about a character's business, almost seem as if the author is speaking to the reader directly about more real life situations - I've certainly seen *many* authors saying much the same thing in real life. Excellent work, with some interesting angles for the third book in this series - I will be intrigued to see if Pine goes that direction or just uses it as set up for the obvious third book main character's overall arc in that tale. Very much recommended, though do read Book 1 (Finding Alexander, also a 5* read) first.
Hunting Blackbeard is the second book in a great new series written by Pandora Pine. This book focuses on Memphis, who always wanted to find Blackbeard’s treasure. I can’t tell you if he finds that specific treasure but he does find Tynan. Tynan and Memphis are kindred spirits; he too has been hunting Blackbeard since his childhood.
I felt that Tynan and Memphis had a little bit of insta-love and the relationship didn’t have the same build-up, as I am used to from this author. However, it is easy to see that Tynan and Memphis fit.
I love how Pandora weaves her characters together. This story focuses on Memphis but everyone from Finding Alexander is still there and working along side Memphis and Tynan. The historical aspects of these books are well researched and believable. Pandora has really done it yet again. She has given us a fast paced, well-written story with romance, action and adventure.
I really enjoyed the continuation of the Lost Treasures series with Memphis searching out his own legacy. It had always been Memphis’s dream as a child to find the missing treasure of the great Blackbeard. With his brother’s legacy fulfilled, Memphis was ready to fulfill his own! The intrigue and mystery of long lost treasure wouldn’t be complete without finding love along the way. I loved the chemistry between Memphis and Tynan. Their developing relationship kept me on the edge of my seat, anxious to see how it would unfold! I loved their collaboration with the rest of their team as they tried to find the long-lost pirate treasure. Ocracoke Island Is one of my favorite places, so having this setting for their search was so intriguing to me! I enjoyed getting glimpses of Cairo and Dillinger, as well as Magnus from the first book. This was a great read, and I’m hoping we get to hear Magnus’s story as well!
Memphis has helped his brother to achieve the Vanderbilt Legacy and has been a little lost after everything. Until he remembers his obsession with Blackbeard and starts looking. As he finds clues that lead him to believe he knows where the buried treasure is (love that!), his family joins him in looking and that's where he meets Tynan.
Tynan has turned his back on the life that his father wanted for him and forged a life for himself that he loves. When Memphis comes to him for help in looking for Blackbeard's treasure, he first wants to say no due to his past. Once he agrees, that is when things begin to grow between them.
This has everything and then some in it. I mean they are looking for pirate treasure! I truly hope there is another one cause there is someone that desperately needs his HEA.
The anticipated follow up to Finding Alexander is finally here. Memphis stars in the second book of the series but played a pivotal role in the first book as Cairo’s twin brother and right hand man. We meet Tynan in this book; he is a kindred spirit and has the same enjoyment of pirates in general and particularly Blackbeard. There is action, adventure and romance. Throw in Cairo, Dillinger and Magnus from book one and newly introduced side character Dex and you have an outstanding cast to support the two main characters. Pandora Pine continues to impress me with each book she releases. She is equally talented in writing contemporary and paranormal MM books which to me seem to be at opposite ends of the spectrum. Another immediate one click and read.
I was so looking forward to this book, it’s a wonderful mix of history and fiction, blended together till the reader isn’t sure which bit is which. I could really believe that Blackbeard would bury his treasure on the US coast. This time round we have Memphis, so supportive of his brother in the last book, taking the lead in this. He meets Tynan a man with a history. They quickly realise they have that something special. I loved that the whole gang is involved again, and hope this continues for Magnus’s story. With the excitement late in the book and that Awwwwwww ending, it’s easy to see why it would be a one sit read. By the way, did I mention Memphis is my spirit animal, sea sickness is a curse... true!
This is a great addition to the Lost Treasures series and I love the characters. The storyline is amazing and I love the setting as well as the surprising twists that keep you guessing until the end. Memphis and Tynan have an instant connection and sizzling hot chemistry even though they both are cautious because of their pasts. They have a lot to deal with as they search for treasure with the help of family and friends especially when Tynan's evil ex-boyfriend sticks his nose in their business. This is an intriguing mystery with historical elements that make it even better and amazing secondary characters that add so much to this story. I can't wait to see what happens next in this fun and exciting series.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
A great treasure hunting story with engaging characters.
This was a great second addition to the Lost Treasures series. Following Memphis (twin brother to Cairo from Finding Alexander) and Tynan, the storyline really drew me in and the instant connection between Memphis and Tynan was tempered by their trust issues. I really enjoyed following along with them on their adventure as they get the chance to follow their dreams. I'm ready for the next adventure.
This book had a lot to live up to, considering how much I loved the first in the series, and Pandora Pine did NOT disappoint! Memphis and Tynan are a great match and they are drawn together instantly, though their relationship doesn’t come easy - it is one they have to fight for, through trust issues, family legacies, lost treasure, and a good dose of action. I really enjoyed that this hunt focused on Blackbeard; it was a fun and fascinating historical component that I think was done really well. Definitely recommend not just this book, but the series. Can we have Magnus now please??
The second book in this series is just as great as the first one. Memphis wanted to find Blackbeard’s treasure since he was a little boy. After he finds Blackbeard’s diary, he sets out along with Tynan, Cairo, Dillinger, and Mangus to hunt for the treasure. Tynan is hired by Magnus to the location where they think the treasure may be. The attraction between the Tynan and Mangus is seen throughout the book. It’s filled with romance, action, and the characters are sweet. Looking forward to the next book.
