i own the Indonesian version - haven't practiced it enough to see if it works, but needless to say, after losing too many things including losing track of this book, i need help - now where were we? i forgot which exercise i've picked... totally forgot...

Pseudo-scientific nonsense - Dr Gillings is correct - independent research does not support claims made by the book.
However, I use it differently. I do 1:1 tutoring employing direct instruction, mediated learning, thinking about thinking,... which can be quite intensive. Students may get 'caught in a rut' or need to switch over to diffuse attention for even a short time 1-5 minutes- a quick chat and little movement - such as a couple brain gyms stretches, ...- and it can be like a fresh start. [ also may use them or a yoga stretch in Pomodoro breaks ] I definitely would not dedicate a part of my valuable teaching time to these activities

I'm still not sure what I think of this book as far as it's usefulness. The illustrations are hard to understand and the exercises are not explained very well. I probably need the teacher's edition. I did go to you tube and found demos of some of the exercises. We have only just started to use it, so it's hard to say what the benefit has been, but it's a good chance to get the wiggles out and take some time to focus as yoga would do.

Fun and effective exercises that can be done ANYWHERE!!
I have used many of the exercises with my patients and find it extremely useful with those enduring dementia as well as those in rehab from strokes.

Good for the home schooling parent. Good introduction to the program. Parents with kids with learning difficulties might start here and see if some of the exercises help the student with frustration over a month or so, then move on to use the whole program if improvement is seen.

A must have for every child in school and every teacher that teaches them. Physical exercises to get the brain functioning properly between the right and left hemispheres.
