As his obsession grows, Maurice becomes more desperate. He won’t stop until Mercy is his once again. But the hunted has become the hunter, ready for its prey.
Mercy is barely holding on after losing her coven, who sacrificed themselves to save her life. But even in death, Caleb opens a path for Mercy to rediscover the ancient power that once revived her after she died the first time on Gallows Hill in 1692.
To find the magic she needs to resurrect her coven, Mercy and Dorian journey to a hidden island and uncover long-buried secrets from an ancient coven who practices magic with ties to beyond the grave. Mercy and Dorian’s love grows stronger, and their destiny as fated mates becomes their power in a world rife with uncertainty.
Meanwhile, Maurice continues plotting to destroy the supernatural world until every last human on earth bows to him. Knowing he can’t kill Mercy, he conjures up sick and twisted games he can play with her in order to crown himself the Master of Hell. But as he toys with the woman who had once escaped his clutches, an obsession for the hunter who plots to take him down may be his undoing.
Where there is pain and destruction, a new power emerges, and Mercy must hold on to faith that good will triumph over evil because, if not, Hell will consume them all.
Author Notes: The Dark Deliverance is the young adult edition of Hunted. Please see the Amazon link for trigger warnings
I've always had a passion for creative writing, starting my career as an author with somewhat milder books and now exclusively writing dark romance. I love looking for ways to take my readers on a journey into a world of unconventional love, morally gray men, and villains who get the girl.
When I’m not writing, I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, attending rock concerts, and exploring new restaurants in Denver.
I dream of continuing to create exciting novels for my readers and taking them on a journey through the magical realms that spill from the pages of my books.
***All three of my young adult novels are written under Diana B. Lynn. Please note that if you see the titles The Dark Awakening, The Dark Underworld & The Dark Deliverance out there, these are NOT adult, dark romances, like I write today. They are young adult romances.
This is the third installment in the Dark Awakening series and it certainly did not disappoint! In this book the series kicks off with a bang. Witches and werewolves battle together to save the world, but will they succeed?
Mercy's meets new enemies in this book and has much to do to protect the ones she loves. I've loved this series so much and really hope there will be some spin off books to accompany this story. I love the characters and the world in which they live. If you love vampires and supernatural books, you really must give this series a read.
I don’t know where to start.. so apologies if my review will turn out jumbled. LOL and i’ll try not to spoil!
Okay, so.. if you were like me, who was able to read the first two books of this trilogy (The Dark Awakening & The Dark Underworld) you would understand why i’d say that this is the best book in the series!
Not only is the story good, but the twists and turns you get in almost each chapter is amazing! Some parts were partly predictable, some parts i was like, ”WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING??!!!” which is really a +++ for me! The way the author wrote this, i’m really a fan. No doubt about it.
I also love and hate (HAHAHA not really hate but goosebumps effect) how detailed her important scenes are especially when describing the demon. Like seriously, that was creepy **cringing**. BUUUUT i also appreciate it because if she had not done that well, there won’t be any creepy vibe while reading the book. AND, i would say that this was a great ending for this trilogy. I wouldn’t have it any other way!
To those of you who are into sorcery, suspense, and mystery, this trilogy is for you. Seriously guys, give it a try! I said it already, but i will say it again, i recommend this book to ANYONE!
*Thank you to the author, DL Blade, for providing an ecopy in exchange for an honest review.*
In this third installment of The Chosen Coven Series, Blade takes us on another adventure through a world she has so masterfully created in the town of East Greenwich. In The Dark Deliverance, Mercy has just lost nearly everyone she loves to a death spell cast by her archnemesis, Maurice, and his powerful witch allies. With only Dorian and a handful of her supernatural friends, Mercy seeks out Maurice in an effort to end his reign of terror and once again save mankind. Maurice has grown gluttonous with power, and he desires nothing more than to wipe out all supernatural beings who refuse to bow to him and name him supreme lord. The only way to stop him lies in the power of the bark from a single tree – the tree from which Mercy was hanged in the 1600s when she was condemned as a witch. To obtain the tree bark and harness its power, Mercy must travel to the underworld and to the island of Barbados, where she encounters a native shaman tribe. Mercy must rediscover her ancient powers and harness the universal elements in order to save those she loves most, free the world from Maurice’s clutches, and send him to Hell for all of eternity. But Maurice won’t give up that easily, and he concocts a twisted game to lure Mercy into his grasp and take his place as the absolute ruler of darkness. Maurice and Mercy’s epic game of tug-of-war will culminate in a final battle that will remind readers of the ultimate scene at the end of the Twilight series. Full of adventure, paranormal romance, and the epic struggle between good and evil, this book will leave readers on the edge of their seat, biting their nails, and wringing their hands as they turn the page to find out how Mercy’s journey finally ends. And trust me, no one will close this book and feel unsatisfied. Blade does a phenomenal job of wrapping up this trilogy and giving readers the sense of fulfillment they seek when reading the final book in their favorite series. The only downside is, when it’s all said and done, you’ll find you miss badass Mercy, her circle of loveable supernatural friends and family, and even supremely evil Maurice. Well done to Blade and kudos for putting a big red bow on a wonderful series that has taken readers on a whirlwind tour through a supernatural world unlike any we’ve read before.
This third and last book of the Chosen Coven Series is just... WOW!! I am so in love with Maurice now that D.L. Blade did an splendid job writing some chapters from his point of view. Once you read the book, you can judge whether I am right or crazy about being obsessed with this guy... And, Mercy... Oh my! She is my new hero! Beginning to end, a, for sure, page turner.
Firstly, I am so thankful to have been contacted by Blade to read her thrilling series! She has been such a joy to speak to and her writing has really grown to something that should be shared with all readers!
Mercy is a new favorite heroine of mine. She is sassy, vulnerable, full of wit, and just a powerhouse witch. From the beginning Blade's story of Mercy and how she came to be really grabbed me. It was refreshing to read an adventure unlike any I had ever read. Today you may read multiple books that have similar narratives, but this story is all its own!
By the end of the second book you are left screaming for both Mercy and her circle. Arch nemesis, Maurice, who essentially is UP TO NO GOOD, casts a spell to kill nearly all that Mercy holds dear (insert lots of tears here). Alas we enter the 3rd book. I was not sad for long as Mercy then travels to incredible places like the Underworld to harness all of her true power in the hopes of saving and avenging her loved ones. Every piece leading up until the last page keeps you on your seat, fully engaged, and frantically page turning to know the outcome.
Key Points: Swoon Romance, Paranormal, Dark and Twisty, Sexy Characters, Large array of adventure, Good vs Evil, YA trash (the good kind of course)
This is a new series in which I believe deserves all the attention on all platforms. If you haven't checked this series out yet, you should at least give it a looksy and check out the reviews for yourself.
Congrats on a fantastic series Blade. I can not wait to see what you come out with next.
This is the third and final book of this series and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading supernatural stories. Mercy continues learning about her past and her gift. Dorian, Joel and Lily help Mercy with her quest to rid the world of evil. Each of the characters help bring this story to life. The story grabs you from the beginning and has you eagerly turning the pages until the end.
I need to catch my breath after this book. But not just this book. I need to catch my breath after this series. Talk about an adventure! D.L. Blade took readers on an amazing adventure of self discovery. And she knocked it out of the park with this third book. This conclusion to the series, which I am not ready to accept is over, is a gem. The book dives right where The Dark Underworld left off. It didn't take long to be back into the world of Mercy and her friends as they faught evil Maurice and his followers. There were so many moments that I really didn't know what was going to happen! If you love paranormal adventure with lots action, suspense and a little bit of romance, then this is the book (series) for you. I didn't see this book going where it went and it was a happy surprise. I know it's the end of the series but I hope to see more of these characters somewhere down the line. I feel connected to them and I'm not ready to let go. I can't suggest this book enough. But you need to read the series. It is not a standalone. Bravo to D.L. Blade for creating a truly wonderfully addicting series for readers to truly get lost in.
The Dark Deliverance is yet another fantastic addition to the Chosen Coven series. Mercy gets in even deeper in this book, and you will enjoy going along for the ride. Once again Blade has a way with words that suck you right into the plot and keeps you wanting more. This was an outstanding conclusion to the story of Mercy and her loved ones. Stop what you’re doing and read this book!
Well Mercy is back and she is on a mission! She is still reeling from the loss of her coven. Dorian is no longer a vampire and is willing to do anything to protect Mercy. So Mercy now has all the power elements since her coven is gone. She has to figure out how she is going to get rid of Maurice. But she is struggling with all the power inside of her. She finds a way to release the extra power her body is housing. What is that going to cost her? Even with out the extra power she is freaking strong. As she is planning to get rid of Maurice she has a few obstacles she has to get through. She has to talk to wolves and other witches to convince them to join her fight against evil. Can she accomplish this? All I know is that it got really, really intense when the battle rolled around. So who wins?
This book was very good and we'll writen. The emotions that flow off the pages will keep you reading and sanguine find out what happens. You will deal with tragedy, love and betrayal and finally the truth. You will love this series so don't miss out.
This was the perfect ending to this amazingly sweet, yet utterly terrifying trilogy. D.L. Blade did an amazing job with all the aspects of these books and I look forward to seeing what she comes up with in the future.
D.L. Blade does it again with her third and final book. I received this whole series from the author herself and I just want to say how much I loved this vampire/witch series and am so glad I was able to read this final 3rd book before release date, which is tomorrow on Halloween!! Mercy just lost her coven and wants to get them back somehow. She cant live without them (well she can but prefers them to still be alive) All she has left is Dorian which he tries to help her to get the coven back. This final brings it all down to Mercy and Maurice. Oh dont forget about Maurice!!! We want nothing more than for him to disappear and be out of Mercy's life. She does what it takes to bring him down. (Won't give anything away) but lets get rid of him! I really enjoyed that it was told between both Mercy and Maurice's characters. To see what both characters wanted and how it all played out and how it all came to an end. I will say I am sad this series is over now. Especially with how it ended! Great series and cant wait for the next one by her! I hope you all get a chance to read it!
And she did it again! DL Blade wraps up the trilogy of witches, vampires, and werewolves with an intensity that makes you beg for more yet feel completely satisfied with the fate of your favorite characters. The Dark Awakening introduces you to the characters and builds the world of the undead, the magical, and the hunky beasts. Then the Dark Underworld elevates the story and captures your attention with a story of love, obsession, and family. The Dark Deliverance brings the story to a close with an epic battle between good and evil and everything in between. The fascinating world built by DL Blade is at war, which side are you on?
Thank you so much D.L Blade for sending me an ebook of The Dark Deliverance. What an ending to a really amazing trilogy.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I can’t say too much because I don’t want to spoil it. I flew through this book so fast!! I’m still #teamcaleb but I also love Dorian. The ending had me screaming.
I would never have discovered this series if it was for @goodreads. I am so glad I decided to give it a go. There is a ton of action and surprises and of course you can’t forget romance.
A series about vampires, werewolves and witches was something I was unsure about after Twilight but this one surpassed everything.
This is book three of the Immortals of East Greenwich and the main characters are immortal spirit witch Mercy and evil vampire leader Maurice who is obsessed with her. He wants to have her under his control again and is building his army of vampires and dark witches, to take down all other witches, werewolves and humans who do not agree to his plan, and take over world domination. Mercy is left bereft from the loss of the other members of her coven, but has been gifted their power. She soon finds out more from Caleb when visiting him in Purgatory, given to her reluctantly and still withholding many secrets from her about actions of the past. There is only one item that would allow her to bring back her coven members from the dead, the very tree she was hung from hundreds of years ago, a life she has no memory of. Dorian, who is now a werewolf, not a vampire anymore, insists on accompanying her to the secret island where a coven have hidden the tree for centuries, using it for their own purposes.
Maurice is plotting his way through to Mercy, knowing she will do anything to save the lives of those of her remaining friends and their families, putting her into difficult situations yet again. He toys with her even when his top companions try to dissuade him, with his one track mind set on Mercy and what he wants to do to her. But his pursuit of Mercy comes with an increased danger, even he is unaware of and which will have a backlash he couldn’t foresee. He is too blinded by obsession to listen to anyone else and the devil himself along with his minions could be unleashed upon the Earth, which may be more than even his army can handle. A fantastic quest to a secret island and a monumental battle for their world, will depend on Mercy, her coven and all their special elements, as well as covens and packs coming to their assistance to defeat the evil that wants to destroy their world and take over. Mercy and her coven are there to ensure the world is in balance, not the corrupt view Maurice has of becoming the master of the world and have all fall to their knees before him. A fitting finale for the series and the romance finally gets a chance to emerge, even as danger surrounds them.
I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
This is the third book in The Chosen Coven series. The story begins where The Dark Underworld left off. Mercy has gained all of her coven’s powers since they sacrificed themselves to save her. Now, Mercy is determined to resurrect them. However, this is no easy feat. She must figure out how Caleb brought her back and try to do the same.
To make matters worse, the evil Maurice is intent on world domination, and his plans are starting to come to fruition. Mercy knows she won’t stop until she reunites with her beloved coven and rids the world of the biggest threat it’s ever known.
Like the last book, this story consists of dual narratives. However, instead of Caleb and Mercy’s perspectives, this book is told from Mercy and Maurice’s points of view. I like the switch in perspectives because it provides the reader with a broader view of what is happening with Mercy and her core group as well as Maurice and the other antagonists.
Alternating the point of view also gives a deeper understanding of Maurice’s motivations and goals. Why is he so focused on destroying Mercy? What is his ultimate purpose? The dual narration answers questions about Maurice’s intentions and actions. It also delves into Mercy’s feelings about her experiences.
Mercy has come a long way from the beginning of this trilogy. “I was not the same girl I was a year ago. I only thought about myself and my own selfish needs…I had been ignoring everything my coven wanted and doing what I felt was right.”
She realizes that she must think not just about herself. This selfless attitude is evident throughout the story as Mercy tries to find a way to bring back her coven while saving others from Marius and other evils.
Mercy and her friends engage in the ultimate battle between good and evil. As the story progresses, the stakes (pardon the vampire pun) get higher, the antagonists become even more evil and deadly, and the risks become greater. The heightening of suspense and the constant action makes for a fast, edge-of-your-seat read.
This is a fitting and fabulous conclusion to an epic trilogy! I loved the themes of selflessness, embracing love, friendship, forgiveness, and fighting for what is right. I can’t say enough about this immersive novel that’s filled with action, adventure, memorable characters, a lovely romance, and a cool supernatural setting. Thanks so much to the author for a copy of the book. All opinions are my own.
The Dark Deliverance: Book 3 Immortals of East Greenwich
After no sleep this weekend devouring this series, I am on a book high. The first two books in the series (The Dark Awakening & The Dark Underworld) had set the bar high for the 3rd installment, and the author continued to give us a brilliant book. The storyline is still fantastic but the way the author never skimps out on the details, keeping with the twists and turns that almost left me speechless. I am still in awe of the main characters; Mercy has been through so much and still continues to try and bring an end to Maurice to end his reign of terror. This is going to be a favorite series of mine; I have loved it from the first book to the last.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The Dark Deliverance concludes the Chosen Coven trilogy. I have enjoyed this whole series and I believe this one is my favorite of the three books. It was great catching up with Mercy and see where she was going to end up.
I am giving The Dark Deliverance five plus stars. I recommend it for readers who enjoy young adult, paranormal and fantasy books. They will want to start with the first book and read the series in order. They will not be disappointed.
I received The Dark Deliverance from the author, but was not required to write a review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
The Dark Deliverance: Urban Paranormal Fantasy (The Chosen Coven Book 3) is the epic ending to this young adult urban paranormal fantasy series. A stellar piece of writing crafted with sorcery, suspense and mystery. I absolutely loved getting a few chapters told in Maurice point of view. So sad to see it end, but im so looking forward to reading the spin off series which is about supporting character Desiree. One of the best young adult urban paranormal fantasy series i've ever read.

Great conclusion to a fantastic series. Dorian and Mercy's love shows them that they are destined as fated mates. Plenty of action that kept you glued to the book never knowing what was going to happen. Action, suspense, some romance and a fantastic paranormal adventure. You can't go wrong if you like paranormal stories. You must read from the start of book 1. These aren't standalones.

I really enjoyed this as a third entry in the Immortals of East Greenwich series, it had that paranormal romance element that I enjoyed from the previous two books. The characters were written perfectly for this type of book and from the other books I read from Diana B. Lynn. It continued the story perfectly and was glad I was able to read this.

I did not want this trilogy to end but the author ended it beautifully. After following the two previous books closely, I was excited to see how it would end. I will miss this world but look forward to exploring her other books.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Diana B. Lynn has reached a new high with the Final book to the Immortals of East Greenwich series. Lynn is a top notch writer with exceptional character development and world building skills, and a sizzling imagination.

The Dark Deliverance is a fabulous ending to this series. A fantastic journey full of magic, suspense and mystery. I will be sad it’s over now but look forward to the authors future work.

And that was the last book I love how everything was wrapped up in this book without hurrying up or sacrificing other parts of the book which some sometime tend to do, really enjoy the ride this series put me through.
