Lee, Jones, and Ginger deal with dangerous situations and mounting stress daily working for the most powerful assassin organization in the world. All of those things seem like a walk in the park compared to the friction that sparks between them. When all three are assigned to the same job, ignoring the heat from the inferno of desire becomes impossible.
Lee is a master at deciphering codes, skilled in hacking complicated systems, and never misses a target, even from over fifty miles away. His feelings for Jones and Ginger, however, may be the first code he’s unable to crack.
Jones deals in absolutes, but the road to his past is paved with bodies and regrets. Getting Lee to acknowledge the pull they both feel toward Ginger may be the hardest mission he’s ever had to face.
Ginger struggles to cope with the overwhelming guilt that accompanies this new job. Falling for these hired killers will be a risk—one that could wind up with him losing in the end or gaining everything he’s ever wanted.
As the three work together to take down a human trafficking ring—and save a desperate soul—time is of the essence. Their lives are on the line as mysteries unfold and unexpected encounters throw them off course. Will Lee, Jones, and Ginger let doubts come between them, distracting them from their mission and blocking any hope of love? Or can they face the toughest challenge of their lives and become…a triple threat
Davidson King, always had a hope that someday her daydreams would become real-life stories. As a child, you would often find her in her own world, thinking up the most insane situations. It may have taken her awhile, but she made her dream come true with her first published work, Snow Falling.
She managed to wrangle herself a husband who matched her crazy and they hatched three wonderful children.
If you were to ask her what gave her the courage to finally publish, she’d tell you it was her amazing family and friends. Support is vital in all things and when you’re afraid of your dreams, it will be your cheering section that will lift you up.
I really like this series and all these characters especially Snow. Unfortunately the previous book had more holes than Swiss cheese and it was too much for me. But we’re back on track with this one (okay there’s some slight holes but that’s fine).
I enjoyed this book and these guys. Jones, Lee and Ginger are put together for the first time as they desperately try to take down a human trafficking ring. Despite the urgency and seriousness of this case the sparks fly between them.
Maybe Ginger can bring Lee and Jones back together stronger than before.
When I pick up a book in this series, I know that I'm going to be taken on a wild ride with mystery and suspense hanging on for dear life.
In Triple Threat, the ante is ramped up as Jones, Lee and Ginger not only have to deal with emotional tangles but with familial ones too.
The tension carries well throughout the narrative, never overwhelming the romance side of things.
Each man is fully aware of what is at risk not only personally but also for their work as secret assassins in Black's covert organisation.
Things move rapidly towards the big denouement and the final book in this series as the human trafficking ring they're investigating throws up links back into familiar territory.
With the little snippets thrown out in this book, I'm even more convinced that Poe is intimately connected to the Haven Hart heir and I cannot wait for his book to conclude what has been a most excellent series.
“My life hasn’t been horrible, just vacant. Then there was you, and later there was Ginger. For the first time in my life, my heart is full. I love two men who are fucking idiots. But you’re my idiots, and I’ll take this city apart brick by brick in order to keep you both safe.”
He leaned in, his lips brushing over mine. “I have a life worth living. I want to live it with both of you morons, if you don’t mind.”
I didn’t mind at all. “I’d love that. And… I love you, too.”
How am I through SIX books of this series and there hasn't been one single dull moment or lull. Every single book with such a unique plot, non-stop action & suspense, and the loyalty and love ... OH, MY! ... the love!!! ❤️🥴❤️ So wonderful how each story brings certain characters to center stage while the others continue to play critical roles as well so, therefore, not forgotten. This Ms. Davidson King author/writer person is some kinda seriously talented!! 👍👍👍👍👍 Read this series and tell me I'm wrong! Go ahead ... triple dog dare ya! 🤨
“You saved me.”
“I’ll always save you, Ginger. I love you.”
A pale hand crept out of the blanket and gripped my hand. “I love you, too, Lee. And I really want to go tell Jones I love him, too.”
I drove in silence to the hospital. The closer we got to Jones I felt the energy crackle. Ginger said he needed us.
If you have not read the previous books in this series i would not recommend reading this one because you will Miss out on a lot of information that is important: YOU BEEN WARNED 😁
Okay so let me start off this review by saying i LOVED this book so much, Lee, ginger and Jonas are so perfect for each other and they are all so cute. They all have very different personalities but i think that’s what makes them unique and perfect for each other. i was honestly surprised on how more dark this book was compared to the others I’m not going to tell you guys the plot because i think you guys should read it for yourself and find out. But please if you have not picked up this series please do you won’t regret it 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Ms King did it again! She brought us to the underbelly of dark network where the lowest of the low commit unspeakable acts against humanity. She tackled the serious issues of human trafficking with care and thoughtfulness it deserved. Told from multiple POVs the story encompasses lives of three men and what brought them together and made them as they were. It's fast-paced, engrossing, full of anguish and hope that there are those who will avenge the innocent.
Lee, Ginger and Jones are as different as can be. Each man has a story to tell. Jones fights demons by night in his nightmares and by day he saves lives and brings justice. But one can never outrun one's past and it has a way of catching up to you when you least expect it. Ginger is a talented asset to the company. He might not be cut out to be an assassin but with ability to transform into anyone he wants he can bring even the strongest to their knees. He thinks he failed his loved ones once already, and this time nothing will stop him from protecting them. Lee is a unique agent. There is no pain or complicated past that haunts him. He simply knows his craft, and possesses strong moral compass, and knows that some scumbags don't deserve to be left alive.
Lee and Jones have a history. They love each other and don't deny it. But when they are together they don't completely fit. It's like something is missing to make them "them". When Lee's undercover work pays off, three men set out on a journey that finally brings forth what they were all missing - each other. It's not two but the three of them that make sense, the three of them that bring each other peace and quiet the storm. Their relationship develops during highly dangerous and emotionally intense mission. While Lee and Jones are sure in what they need and want, Ginger is scared that he is just a distraction. It is up to both men to show him that he is as vital to them as they are to him. Those three were on fire! And while their encounters melted the sheets, their quiet and tender moments they shared showed the vulnerable and gentle men that were hiding behind tough fierce exterior. I loved them. The fun, the angry, the s*exy and the painful all made them approachable and so likable.
I loved the book, all the characters old and new, and those tidbits Ms King dropped about Poe! What? The wait for his book is going to kick my ..... I want it now! *stomps like an angry five year old* But seriously, this was well-balanced, thrilling and steamy read about my favorite guys. I loved it and highly recommend it! Copy provided for my honest and unbiased review
So I skipped the previous book because this pairing has been building up since the very first book! Jones and Lee PLUS Ginger? I literally jumped into this!!
How did it pan out? Well enough.
Although, I feel like more could've been done with the material at hand especially with three MCs. The way these three fell into their "throuple" was not as seamless as others I've read. It just didn't flow for me.
Also, the storyline with the human trafficking ring could've been executed much better than it was. It was choppy with bits and pieces coming in at odd times, which I know was meant to make the story more exciting but just made the whole thing convoluted.
I can't say I was disappointed, but I certainly wasn't super happy with the way it turned out. It was just okay.
Re-read July 20, 2021 Thrilling rescue with lives at stake, plus ménage hotness ! Exciting and dangerous, this human trafficking story is fantastic. We have Black’s employees, tough assassins, Lee and Jones, Lee... Jones... plus newer guy, Ginger, on the job. Ginger knows a person who is on the dark web “for sale.” The team will be bidding and collecting the young man. This is a severely danger filled, action packed rescue.
In the sexy times, Lee and Jones have a history, but are volatile, so they hope adding Ginger, who attracts them both, will become a threesome beneficial to all of them. Their erotic, intense, wild sex does have a positive effect. Marvelous ménage scenes dot this thriller.
Many questions need answers, devious men and women are running the slave trade, while we see rescues, attacks, confusion, a kidnapping, injuries, torture, and much more. This series has some strong, powerful men and fearless plans.
Davidson King is keeping me absorbed in every tale.
Not a favourite. Can't really put my finger on why. Maybe the kind of instalove the three of them seem to fell into. It went from feeling some attraction to "there was nothing I wouldn't do for the men in my life" in an eyeblink. All this while chasing a trafficing organisation keeping Ginger's brother.
This review has spoilers, so don't read if you don't want anything spoiled.
First off, if you haven't read the first 5 Haven Hart books, don't start with this one. You need the backstory from those books to really get a feel and understanding when it comes to this book.
This book follows Jones, Lee & Ginger as they try and help Ginger. I won't say what the task is, because it is a shocker and would be better for the reader to discover it themselves. All three men have different personalities and ways to do things that will both help and hinder them on the mission.
What I loved about this book, is the interaction between the three men. Jones, is the big, gruff harden man, Lee, is the quiet, tech savy nerdish man, and then there is Ginger the bright, optimistic man. You wouldn't think these men would get along and you would be wrong. Jones and Lee already have a connection, but they know they are missing a link to that connection. Ginger is the glue that they need, and he needs them as well. They all provide the safety and comfort they each need.
What I liked about the book, is the plot revolving around the darkweb. This is fascinating because this is something that you know is happening in real life, but are unaware. I like seeing how Ms. King brought this out and the open and makes the reader wonder/ponder if something like what is taking place in this story happening in our world.
What I disliked about this book is that it ended on a plot cliffhanger. I'm not a patient person and I'm dying to know who this series will end.
All in all, I give this book a 5 star rating. It was suspenseful, emotional and peaceful.
Reread review- I still agree 100% with my original review. However, on this reread I skipped all of the s*x scenes & if you do that then I would probably change my rating to 2.8 or 3 stars.
Original review-1.5 stars. This book was such a disappointment to me with how much I was looking forward to it. I could not feel chemistry between the three, and I found myself just wishing it was about Jones and Lee. It’s a shame, because the plot itself was interesting (if horrific).
I had a harder time with this one than the last book, but in all fairness, I really love Snow. I listened to this and thought Philip Alces was a good match for Jones but strangely enough I wasn't as thrilled with Joel Leslie for Lee or Ginger (and he is one of my favorite narrators.)
The story was a whole lot of riding around in a van and dealing with some bad people and a little of the relationship between Jones, Lee and Ginger. I was really looking forward to their story and was disappointed that there wasn't more of it. Maybe it needed to be longer to give them some more quality time together? I don't know but I still really like Ms. King's stories but I am hoping for a little more with the last book.
I love this series but not this installment so much. I like all the characters but I’m not really into three way partnerships. I specifically don’t read books about them but I already knew all these characters and liked them all. I’m totally disappointed that Lee isn’t for Poe 😕
All that aside this one was kinda boring except pretty much the last part. It was a let down because most of these books are suspenseful and exciting. This one was just driving around in a van I still don’t have a clear picture for and three way sexual tension.
There was more depth on Jones which was good, I liked that. However Ginger didn’t really do much for me this time even though I loved him in the last book. Lee was, of course, a bad ass. Wicked smart men are always appealing and I admit I have a soft spot for nerds.
Please do better for Poe. I love him almost as much as Snow. I like the assassins better than the mob dudes except for Snow. Anyway, it was ok but not as good as I expected from this author.
The story was really good and I was as into the thruple. The whole trafficking ring and the dynamics of the assassins working to take them down was really interesting and I loved Lee and his gadgets.
AMAZING! Another great add to the series. Lee, Jones, and Ginger finally get their story and it's filled with action, intense desire and surprises at every turn. These three men are so different, I loved being able to get a deeper look and see how their pieces fit together. Jones is the strong and silent type but his feeling are stronger when faced with a chance to reunite with Lee and fix what went wrong; enter Ginger. Ginger is adorable from the moment we met him, and here he's still dealing with what happened to him in the last book but also coming into his own and how he not only fits into this world but with two men he needs to feel whole. Lee for me has always been the wild card, unique to any other assassin with Black's team. Tech Geek sexy and not going to let anyone take away the two men he loves. When Lee decides something is his all bets are off. I laughed, I cried and I cheered them on to kick butt. I don't want to say too much because I think it would be spoilers but with surprises popping up it takes the whole team to come together to defeat their enemies. Loved seeing past characters weaved in too and hints for the final book for Poe. Secrets and mysteries are all around Haven Hart and I can't wait for the next. I voluntarily reviewed an 'Advance Author’s Copy' of this book.
Thank you! My excitement was definitely justified by this book. Hot and dangerous yet tender and sweet at the same time. Ginger surely balanced Jones and Lee and together, they made a perfect pair. Ginger spicing up Jones and Lee was like a house on fire. Deym! 🥵
This wasn't as violent given the nature of the mission and Whisperer and Shadow's touch. However, that didn't make this less action-packed. In fact, it was more. A push and pull between stealth and aggressive chase. It kept me at the edge of my seat even when they're just driving from one location to another. So good and expertly spun! I hated the reason for the mission and my heart hurt for the victims. But I love how all the cloak and dagger stuff was weaved into the story. ❤️❤️❤️
Consigliato ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
So although I was disappointed this book wasn’t just Lee and Jones I was pleased with the way King laid out the romance. The last book had me worrying it was going to be a big drama fest with hurt and jealous feeling but in never escalated there and for that I am appreciative. But.... (because you knew my salty ass would have a but) even though I liked the way the story played out I never actual felt the connection between the 3 of them. You can feel the connection with Lee and Jones because it’s been well developed through the series, and maybe a little with Jones and Ginger, again because it started to develop in the last book. But I never really felt the chemistry between the 3 of them. I also didn’t understand how Ginger was their “missing piece”, it’s like that was just thrown in to make the trio work, but was never fully developed, what were they missing? Supposedly Lee and Jones loved each more than anything but were volatile together on their bad days, how does Ginger make that better?
Anywho, obviously that’s just my opinion and was minor in comparison to the rest of the plot which was absolutely perfect and action packed.
I will say that we know Poe is going to be the next book and I’m not going to lie... I’m probably the only person who does not like him... like at all... I don’t like the high horse, holier than thou attitude. Of course in the next book we’re going to learn how great and caring he is while he also deals with atrocious stuff in life that explains his attitude and blah blah blah... But I’m still going to hate while I can.
************************************************* Still kinda sad that this isn’t just Lee and Jones... guess I’ll wait to see some reviews...
I have definitely been following and enjoying this series, and while the plotline of this story was fine, the characters were completely flat to me. There were multiple times when I found myself flipping back to the chapter start to see who was narrating. The characters didnt have distinct enough personalities both in their dialogue and in their narration to stand apart from one another. It felt like you could pull quotes from the book and as a reader struggle to correctly identify who said it. That in turn made the story harder to follow and less interesting. Three carbon copy characters do not make a story. This story could have definitely been loads better with clearly developed voice. Davidson tends to lean towards characters with a soft loving center, and while it's not bad, it tends to leave her characters all leading to the same place. The unique edges that could cause conflict never arise and leave the romance lackluster.
Another masterpiece by author Ms. Davidson King There was not a dull moment in this book Lee, Jones and Ginger were perfect for each other. This is one of the best series I read during 2019 And I look forward to the seventh book in the series
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow- Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile' or ‚Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the kids' series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or 'Liberty' from Seth King), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey’s books) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times a year (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader, maybe 2-3 times a year. It’s like a B
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time- reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok). It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolut NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
What an amazing ride this is! This installment in the series went beyond expectations! It gives us intrigue, non-stop action, and hot makeout scenes between three of the most colorful characters in this series!
Lee, Jones and Ginger are amazing in their individuality, but collectively, they are EXPLOSIVELY LETHAL, both in and out of bed! Three of the most lethal talents in Black’s employ, they each have qualities that make them successful in what they do. At times Ginger feels that he does not have any talent at all, but Black finds something in him that makes him valuable, he just has to believe it! Racing against time to save someone really important in his life, Ginger, with Lee and Jones need to up their game and stay ahead, however much they can with such limited data!
Amazing story and a thrilling and sexy roadtrip! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Congratulations Ms. Davidson King! I can’t wait for the most explosive revelation of all!
I feel like I’ve been waiting forever for Lee and Jones to work everything out. Bonus! They added Ginger! I really liked how this book came out and how new characters were added in. Plus, there was a Buffy reference! This book centers around the dark web and all the creepy nastiest that it entails. I didn’t see the mission that they are on coming but I really enjoyed that story line. Lee and Jones were just so cute and sweet with Ginger. They all really helped each other out and to work though each other’s problems. This author is just so great at giving you lots of little twists and turns that’ll keep you guessing. I sure didn’t see this stuff coming! I don’t want to give too much away but this book is a must read. You do need to read the other books to be able to properly follow along.
Hugs&kisses
I really enjoyed the mystery and suspense of this one, felt like you were on edge hoping nothing bad happened, but to me the chemistry between the three guys didn’t feel as real as the other couples in this series.
I felt like it was two couples just making it a throuple... I have read a few MMM books and I could feel the relationship but this one I felt like Ginger was closer to Jones than Lee... and Lee was obviously closer to Jones, aka it was Jones having a relationship with two guys. Idk I didn’t hate it but didn’t love it as much as I thought I would.
Another solid one from Davidson King! However, I'm not giving it a 4 or 5 stars because of two main things:
1) We only need to be told once or twice that this relationship is between three people. It started to feel a bit forced after the tenth time. 2) Jones had an interesting narrative until he blended too much with the other two. The individuality that has been present throughout the series kind of disappeared a bit in this one.
Don't get me wrong. I adore Lee and I'm jealous of Ginger, but it wasn't a favorite.
this is as always amazing.. and wonderful and sexy and action packed and so many emotions thrown together. i love this series so much and i dread it ending. this was wonderful! i cant wait for the next book.
Still a great read, but there were parts that felt a little slow. Overall, still a great addition to the series, but I loved the previous books over this one.
