My four-year-old granddaughter loves unicorns, so when she found this book in the library I was sure we would enjoy reading it together. When we got to the chapter where two unicorns are fighting with lightning bolts coming from their horns I realized this was not the kind of book I had hoped it would be. Fortunately my granddaughter lost interest in the story after that. Most people don't realize that the reason unicorns have become so popular recently is that they are truly returning to earth. Most of us can't see them because they are higher beings, like angels. There are no evil ones, like Orion in this story. They are here to teach us how to be more loving. You can learn more about unicorns in Diana Cooper's book, The Magic of Unicorns.

This book was very much like all of the other Fairy Unicorn books. This time, Zoe and Astra took to the sky to try and stop a spell that froze most of the unicorns. I was happy that Shadow made more of an appearance in this book, but the story line was a bit flat. It seems obvious that this series is coming to an end in the next book.

My daughter and I love reading Zanna Davidson's Fairy Unicorns series!
The stories are action-packed with a great formula for young girls: unicorns and magic, a secret world that a little girl can enter, an evil pony to overcome. There are positive, useful themes, revolving around making friends and being brave and being true to yourself to overcome negative forces.
The illustrations are beautiful and the book format is gorgeous: hardcover with a ribbon bookmark. I taught my daughter how to open the book using the ribbon bookmark and she was delighted to learn this trick.
Great quality reading for six-year-olds. We are reading the Fairy Ponies series next!

In the 5th book of the series Fairy unicorns Zoe goes to see Astra but this time Shadow has put an enchantment in the snow while the unicorns where participating in the frost fair.When the snow touched a unicorn they will turn into ice.
Lots of the unicorns turned into ice .Eirra ,Astra and Zoe go to find the comet that brings spring By doing this they need to travel a long way & get trapped by shadow .When this happened Astra has to say a spell in anger ..😡
And they were able to bring the comet in time and save the fairy 🧚‍♀️ unicorns 🦄.

Read this series during end of January and beginning of Febrary with kiddo. She loved them. And this is the second to last one! It follows the same concept as the others, so no surprise there. It's just a wintery setting, as it were. Kiddo loved it though, so that's good. In this they have a party or faire to celebrate the winter. And of course The Evil one puts a curse on the snow and some ponies end up ice-statues. Adventure to solve this follows! Moderatly good, but I will admit... I was at this point happy it was just one left.

This might be my favorite so far, honestly. Really engaging story, and the illustrations were really cool. I loved the use of black pages and white ink during the star chapter. Glad I found these to share with my kiddo.

I think it was cool, and I love how they described all the food and activities at the fair. I wish I could use fairy dust to make myself small.

I would say out of all the books in this series, this one has been the best. A lot more intense action going on and you actually met evil pony Shadow. My dd as loved this series.
