Linc Harris found a home at Haven MC, one that came with men who he was honored to call his brothers. The club has suffered from some internal issues, and it is time to put them to rest and set Haven on a new path. But in doing so, Moose’s past, one he thought he had neatly tucked away, is brought front and center. It isn’t one he really ever wanted to let go, it was just one he’d hoped to settle when he was ready.
Kathryn Stevens has reached her dream of becoming a doctor, and she did it even while putting her heart back together. She refuses to allow anyone in who could open those wounds again, so when she is targeted to be used as a pawn, she gets the opportunity to test her resolve. But she is the first to admit, the man who caused her to even implement a resolve—could be the only one she would trust to save her.
Join the men of Haven MC as they prove that not only should you never judge a book by its cover, you shouldn’t judge men for the sole fact they ride Harleys and wear leathers.
Carson Mackenzie enjoys writing romance with a real feel inside the stories. She writes with the belief not every man is a jerk and not every woman needs saving.
Carson lives in the South with her son, a Great Dane and two adopted shelter dogs that keep the household in line. Books have always been a part of her life. There is nothing better to her than curling up and relaxing with a good story and losing herself in someone else’s world for a few hours.
Writing stories and growing as an author with each book is her goal. She wants to reach the level where a reader knows when they see her name on a cover, they can trust in the fact there will be a good story as they flip through the pages.
Carson’s journey into writing has only been for a few years. As she’s finally starting to settle in, she can’t believe she waited so long to start.
Carson Mackenzie’s biker books are squarely in my biker book popcorn category. They have some issues, but they are great to snack on. Snatched is the first in the Haven MC series, which is tied to her Black Hawk MC series. Haven MC is where Carly and Sami, the h’s from Crusher and Speed, grew up in. I suggest you read those two first.
When I started reading Snatched, I was confused. I even went back and read Crusher to see if I missed something. It starts with an info-dump flashback to when Moose/Linc met Wild Bill, the Haven MC president, and learns more about club business than any prospective prospect should. Then he’s being released from prison after a 2 year stint he didn’t really serve, it was a set up to ferret out some bad seeds in the club. He was saving the world doing super secret missions in the desert, a club side business that was never really explained. My BS meter was pegged out at this point.
This is a second chance romance, not my favorite trope but it’s okay here. Moose walked away from Katie years before thinking he was doing the right thing… and like all these books, he discovers he wasn’t. I didn’t like that Moose and Katie don’t even see each other until 55%. I do think Katie should have held out for at least a decent grovel, but I guess the book was too short for that.
Moose was your typical alpha bad boy biker and we all know alpha bad boy bikers just do it for me. Katie was a sweet girl who worked hard to make her dream a reality. Her life wasn’t great, but she worked with the hand she’d been dealt and made the best of it that she could.
The plot had good bones to it, but the execution was lacking. There was mainly a lot of telling instead of showing. In fact, it felt like a lot of the “action” was history that was told to us through dialogue making it feel like I came in at the tail end of the story rather than the beginning. The scene where the bad guy is brought down felt rushed and tacked on at the end, which added to my disappointment.
With more issues than I usually see in a Carson Mackenzie book, Snatched is not my favorite but it’s still a decent read. My hope is that now we have the backstory to the Haven MC, future installments will have more real-time action and less reminiscing. I’m interested enough to give the next book a chance because there’s something about Carson’s books that keep me coming back for more.
I really really liked this one! It different from other biker club books that I've read. A really good different. I can't wait to sink my teeth into the next book.
This had me a little confused at first because while so many characters seemed familiar I couldn't place where I've read about them before. Then I remembered that this first book of the Haven MC is the other side of the coin, so to speak. Sam and Carly from the Black Hawk MC series came from Haven, this book is about Sam's father MC...then it started to make sense...lol.
So Moose/Linc and Katie's story was fairly typical, friends since they were kids, they fell in love while in their teenage years, he was her first and then he left so she could live her life, only to come back years later and claim her as his and she happily follows after talking mad shit about how she will never forgive him for leaving her....sighs...women can be so fickle while men can be just...well men. In any case it's very unnerving and frustrating how in these situations the men have no problem moving on and fucking anything in sight but the women don't, can't or just won't because they're too hung up on their pasts. It's definitely okay for a woman to have an active sex life, just like a man, even after a hard break up, but to compare or just act like a nun just because your man left..ridiculous. So you get him back after he's slept his way through the alphabet and he gets you back nice and pristine...nice. For the record having an active sex life does not make you a slut nor a whore, it makes you human. On a side note, the sex between them was hot so I can't be that mad and they were cute together, if not, predictable.
I'm still trying to figure out exactly who these Haven men are because let's face it, they aren't regular bikers, but it's not quite clear what they are. Obviously they go on super secret missions, is it for the government?
My favorite characters were Shock and Freak...surprisingly enough. Two of the oldest members but so very intriguing..loved them!!! Charlie wasn't so bad neither, a female bounty hunter who can ride a bike and kick ass just as well, if not better, than a man. Got to respect that. She's honest and a straight up shooter but not in an annoying way, its in a more take me as I am type of way, she's awesome. Obviously Hawk is going to claim her and I truly hope she doesn't turn into a simpering female that depends on him to save her, because that would be very disappointing. She was portrayed as tough, funny and outgoing in this book, so when her time comes I would like to see her with those same characteristics, not less.
Overall this was a fast paced read, with interesting, colorful and more than a handful of characters, which may get confusing at times, but still an enjoyable read. It did have many grammatical errors and sentences that just didn't make sense and that made some parts a tad bit difficult to understand.
Snatched (Haven MC Book 1) By: Carson Mackenzie "Snatched" Is Definitely Gonna Snatch Your Attention... Once Upon A Time... He "Snatched" Her HEART! Only to Shatter IT by walk'n Away... The great plot was well written and the characters were so well developed that as I turned each page the chemistry between the characters kept me totally hooked until the very last page!

I liked this MC read; the beginning is a bit slow but it did get better. Moose and Kathryn are great characters with steamy chemistry. I look forward to finding out what happens next with this intriguing MC
Haven MC...............not really sure about this club yet
Snatched is the first book I have read by Carson Mackenzie so I was not sure what to expect. But the story description looked interesting, as I love my protective and possessive alpha MC men, so I figured I might find a great "new to me" author and a new MC series to get hooked onto. So I am about to say that I am not sure about either the author or the Haven MC series.
The first book in the Haven MC series centers on Linc, aka Moose, who is a MC recruit and Kathryn who is a doctor. They have a history as they grew up together and were teenage sweethearts. But he left when he was eighteen and she was sixteen telling her he would be back but he never did. So she moved on and now has a good life. But because her father has made some bad decisions she is now back but also in danger because of her father. Kathryn is a really feisty and strong character which is fun to read. But there were some things in the story that I really did not like and felt were out of place. Linc comes back into Kathryn's life to protect her but she also seems to need to be protected from him. When he broke into the house and climbed into bed naked with her it was just creepy. But then when he would not take no for an answer until she finally said yes................WTF!!!!! She was drunk and basically passed out in bed so this scene is just plain bad and so wrong on so many levels.
I have to also mention that the book could use a really good editor and proofreader. I felt the story could have been tightened up in areas that dragged on which would have then allowed other areas to be expanded upon. There were a lot of mistakes with proofreading that should be been easily caught. Additionally, there were also a lot of secondary characters in the story that I feel are part of a previous series, which is fine, but if you didn't read that series then it is a bit overwhelming. I felt like I needed to design a family tree just to try and get everyone straight.
In the end I am left not quite knowing if I really liked Snatched or not. But I liked it enough to read the next in the series and see what happens in the MC.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Where did Haven MC come from, and exactly what is it?
Haven motorcycle club (MC) has been around for a long time, but the new president, "Wild Bill," wants to root out the members who have been tainting the club via some very probably-illegal and unsavory practices. Moose/Linc is one of the recruits.
I liked the female main character, Katie. As for Linc/Moose - he shows up naked in Katie's bed after years of no contact, and refuses to leave after repeatedly being told to get out. She gives in, and it makes me wonder if she would have if she had not drunk a six-pack of beer.
There are an *lot* of other characters to keep up with, and most of them have a regular name as well as a club name. "Freak" is Frankie, "Shock" is Steven, "Pinch" is Cal, and it goes on. It's clear that some of them have familial relationships with one another, but it's hard to sort out.
As I read on, I discovered that Haven is somehow some kind of unofficial investigative crime-fighting organization. How it got that way is a mystery. When the bad guys are caught, they're not turned over to the Feds until after repeatedly being tortured with would-be electrocution, rattlesnake bites, and other horrors. Not for me.
Eventually, I realized that although this is a first book in a series, there *had* to have been a previous series in which a lot of the characters and their actions that are vaguely referred to in Snatched are described. Yes, the previous series is Black Hawk MC. I thought maybe Snatched and the next book, Hawk's Bounty, would make a lot more sense if I read the Black Hawk books, but they aren't on KU. I realized I didn't really care.
Finally, incredibly poor editing.

I had the pleasure of reading this author previously in the Black Hawk MC series and really enjoyed it so giving the Haven MC series a try. This is book one of the series and it is off to a really good start. Funny how in order to move forward in the present to the future, one always has to go back and deal with the unresolved issues and headaches of the past. Linc (Moose) is part of the Haven MC and this club has had some ups and downs that it needs to address and move on from. He has some things in his past that he needs to bring up, he realizes he can't bury his head in the sand forever, but he thought he would have control over when he would have to face it. Kathryn now has her dream job, she is a doctor! She has even managed to mend her own heart as it was shattered in the past. She has built it back up much stronger and more resilient now. The good doctor is being used as a pawn.....now back into her past she needs to go to find safety. This was a great story to read and to get an introduction to the men and women linked to Haven MC. I cannot wait to get to know more of the MC and see where the story line goes. Fantastic cover!

ONE THRILLING TREAT!!! CHA-CHA-CHING! One wild enthusiastic ride that skillfully laid this baby out with its raging storyline and gripping plot that blows this sweet adventure to life flawlessly. Combating the trials and tribulations while trying to take out the trash keeps this non-stop, action packed, fast paced, page flipping wonder moving forward constantly. A churning eddy of startling circumstances and electrifying events propel those emotions into play front and center. One totally engaging, mesmerizing, enthralling wonder that captures your attention from start to finish. Sparks fly as chemistry sizzles, high octane jeopardy and unnerving supense explode in gargantuan proportions. The characters are original and authentic with just enough flaws to make it more interesting. Their personalities are unique with qualities and traits that balances out perfectly. The scenes are so descriptive it paints a fantastic backdrop that adds a little spicy flavor to the characters. Remarkable job Carson, thanks for sharing this baby with us.
It took a while before Linc/Moose actually reconnected with Kathryn/ Katie, the girl he left behind. No longer a girl, Katie had moved on, earning her Medical degree and earnestly working in the ER. This Second Chance Romance took a long time to launch where some of the buildup scenes seemed to drag on and on. Not a fan of Moose’’s indiscriminate sex with whoever was available. He only started to think about her when their interconnected history forced him back into her life. Then all of a sudden she’s the love of his life. As for Katie, she had never really moved on from him and as soon as he susddenly appears in her bedroom, she fell apart and they did the nasty. Not even an explanation or apology was needed, she just fell. A bit of drama with betrayal and some misplaced loyalty with the Russians as this couple easily find their HEA together.

If you are looking for a slightly stronger on the MC aspect romance, Snatched is a great place to start. There is an even amount of MC business and the romance between these childhood sweethearts. Katie has loved Linc forever, too bad he left and never came back. Linc always knew he would come back for Katie and now is the perfect time. He had his reasons for taking off and not coming back. An awful Russian mobster involved in human trafficking has a hold on Katie's dad. Linc knows now is the best time to get his girl back. He is really lucky that she is so understanding, I'm just saying. Even with the backdrop of some seriously bad guys, there are some lighter moments that really make this a fun read. I loved the interactions between the guys, that really showcased their history together and the bonds between them all. I can't wait to dive into Hawk's book next!
I was CONFUSED when I started to read this. It was so much so that I thought What the Heck am I reading until I realized that I had read about these characters before. It hit me like a brick in the head, but it finally made sense to me. This is a spin off from Black Hawk MC. Ok this spin off was a pretty good read after my confusion had tampered down. Moose and Katie started out as friends. The history between these two furthers when Linc/Moose comes back to claim Katie as his own. It progresses with all the fanfare that is typical with a MC book. It was a good read but you probably want to start with reading Black hawks MC to get some of this backstory.

This is the 1st book in the ‘Haven MC’ series This one’s about Linc and Katie. They have had a crush on each other since they were children. Linc wants to show Katie the home he built for her but he saw her with someone else, took it the wrong way, left without talking to her and joined the Military. Linc is lost in a way but find his home within the Haven MC, he also finds that he has the MC brothers that always have his back. Katie wants nothing to do with Linc but when unwanted circumstances happen they are thrown together and start to rekindle their feelings for each other. Will they really get back together?

This is the 1st book in a new series with ties to the Black Hawk MC series that was awesome. This is about Linc and Katie who were friends from childhood and then become an item n their teenage years. She was 16 and he was 18 when he left. He told her he would return for her, but never did. Now she’s a doctor and in danger because of her fathers bad business choice. Linc did a stint in the military, is a member of the Haven MC and also works secretly with a secret group on anti-terrorism. He never stopped loving her and plans to reclaim her but first the club has to clean up the trash. Good story and I loved all the characters introduced and look forward to each of their stories.

Moose finally found his place in life with the MC. Kathryn has always wanted to be a doctor. Years ago, he left her behind. Will Moose be able to keep her safe? Will Kathryn accept him back into her life?
Overall it was another Carson Mackenzie hit. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five was because I felt there were some things that could have been explained or expanded more to make some of it make more sense. I did like the fact that Moose was determined to protect her and not let her go again. I loved the fact that when Kathryn was faced with other women, she stood up for herself. Good read!

I love MC romances and couldn't wait to delve into Haven MC. The bad news is I kept looking at the cover to make sure it specifically said Book 1. For the majority of the book, it rehashes events leading up to the Moose's story. The author tried to make it work, but it got to the point all I was comprehending was blah, blah, blah. It did pick up when it got to Moose and Kathryn and their second chance romance. I like the MC and now that I know the players, I would read more. Snatched just didn't do it for me except for a prequel to future books.

Katie is the girl that Linc left behind. She moved on, now a doctor. Her father is involved in some rather shady business. Linc did a stint in the military, and then a short one in prison. He's back now, and trying to move forward in the MC - and protect Katie. I have a soft spot for biker romances. I had a little trouble getting into this one, but don't like to give up on a book. The story line picked up as it went along. Really liked the characters in the MC. First read from this author - working on the next one in the series.

Wild Bill the president of the Haven MC needs to root out the bad apples from his MC and so he has brought in new recruits that he can trust and one of those is Moose(Linc)
This is his and Katies story. He turns up in her bed naked after years of not seeing her she has had too much to drink and one thing leads to another (if you want the back story you need to read the Black Hawk series) as with all MC stories it can get a little confusing as you have road names and real names and in the book they are used interchangeable rather than sticking with one You almost need a family tree type think The editing was an issue but as this was a ARC copy that could have been corrected
Linc and Katie have known each other when they were children. They had a crush on each other. He had their life planned out and was eager to show her the home he built for her when she got out of college. But he saw her with someone and took it the wrong way and he left and joined the military. Now they are back in he same town and he has his work cut out for him. There is a lot of action, steam and craziness. I really enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read book 2. OMG Carson Mackenzie has another hit on her hands. Haven MC is just as addicting as the BlackHawk MC. Linc is every woman's dream but Kates reality. He left when she was 18 so that she could accomplish her dreams. She has become a doctor and now Linc it s back in her life to claim her as his and to protect her from a major problem her father got her into. Action packed from start o finish. HEA. Can not wait for Hawk to come out.

This book was one of the best MC books I have read. Line finds his home and brothers within the Haven MC but his past is coming to bite him. Katie, After a call from her dad, gets thrown back into Linc’s life and she takes it in stride. Through the danger and the heartache of the past, I really hope these two can find some happy. I can’t wait to see what Hawk has in store for us.
Overlooking the editing , I thought this was an entertaining book with strong characters in Kate and Moose(Link) as well as the supporting cast who help to bring the story around. The author does a great job pulling you in with all the action throughout along with the steamy romance.I enjoyed reading their story and am looking forward to the next book.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
This is book one in the Haven MC and the club is still trying to “clean-up” their membership that the previous president had encouraged. Moose (Linc) had loved Katie since they were young, but wanted to let her finish college and get settled in life. Katie was disappointed that he hadn’t come for her after college. Interesting and engaging story with lots of action and well defined characters. Good read!

Great characters, engaging story Linc and Kate know each other. He left when she was 18 so that she could become a doctor . He supported this idea very much. Now she is back and Linc it s back in her life to claim her as his. He needs to protect her from a major problem her father got her into. Action packed from start o finish

This is the start of a new MC series by this author and we are introduced to Moose and Kathryn. The story held my interest throughout, it’s a fairly quick read only taking me about 2 hours. Both these characters are feisty and have had a previous relationship that had ended, and they thought they had moved on from each other. It’s a great introduction to the new series and the MC.

Linc and Kathryn has an odd and exciting relationship. With biker wars and mysteries around Kathryn's simple life. Being involved with a biker club is different for them, thats his family and they are the ones bringing so nany different things into het life, fesr, power, romance, friendship love and alot of drama.

I looked forward to this read but ended up very disappointed and struggled to get through. A new author to me. This book needs editing. There are far too many mistakes and the book reads very slow as if the author just copy/pasted info. Most of the time I had no idea what was going on and if this was a series or something. I became very frustrated - the read was not enjoyable and I almost gave up several times.
