A lot of the recipes seem to include heavy cream. Even the ones that aren't in the chowder and bisque sections.

Many of the recipes don't sound appealing to me, possibly because I'm not an adolescent. These include macaroni and cheese soup, chili dog soup, cheeseburger soup, supreme pizza soup, and pepperoni pizza stew. I also don't understand why someone would want to make a soup version of any of these, I'd rather just eat the originals, and probably so would the aforementioned adolescents.

The heavy hand with cheese and cream makes this feel more like a 1980's book of slow cooker soups.
