This is an exceptional book, specifically for a logistical overview of World War Two.
Peter Chasseaud includes a wealth of maps, on nearly every page, which helps visualize the detailed army movements and positions described. Indeed, the attention to detail can border on overwhelming at times as the movement of troops, geographical positions, army group breakdowns, and political implications are described in full. This is by no means a light or casual read, but does serve as an excellent insight into the complexity and overarching strategies of such a vast conflict.
For those interested in cartography, military logistics, and of course World War Two history, this would be a great read due to its comprehensiveness and extreme detail.

Full of detail which is meaningless to most people, unless researching a specific division, person etc. Some more interesting pieces hidden away within the raft of names of people, towns and division names/name changes etc
