The content is okay most of the time and questionable at others. However, this book gets 2 stars because with all the typos, autocorrects, and layout errors it’s practically unreadable. It feels like the editors didn’t bother, or like someone sent the rough draft to the printers by accident. Some of the errors make the content unclear or just plain wrong. Very disappointed.
I picked this book up to hopefully learn a bit more about rituals and how to enhance them into my own practice. The introduction states that the book is "beyond beginners and is an intermediate book about rituals." I was excited to learn more. Instead I got a Wicca-focused ritual 101 based type of book. I didn't learn anything new in this book. This book actually reminded me of Silver RavenWolf with limited correspondences, Wicca first focus (under the demise of witchcraft) and lots of rituals about deities with no interest in learning more about them prior to working with them. If you are looking to learn about Wicca, this is your book, otherwise, I recommend passing on this one.
This book did have some insight as to how ritual enhances our lives, feeds creativity, and enrichens us. It emphasizes the importance of slowing down and taking in what’s happening around you. This book was also unbelievably dry, many books in this vein can have an almost text-book ‘drone’ to them. This took is to the next level. This was an incredibly difficult book to get through. There was a good chunk of spelling errors. Overall it was kind of a disappointing read.
