The secret is out.

I’m officially dating the entire Student Council, but that’s not the only thing that’s outside the norm at Adamson All-Boys Academy.

Nah, I think the murders are a bit more remarkable, although my dad might disagree. He’s not exactly thrilled with my fake fiancé or the other four boys that make my pulse race.

With two current students dead, and three attackers on my tail, it looks like I’m next. The fact that I’m a target isn’t in question, but are the people closest to me involved somehow? Everyone’s a suspect—my family, my classmates, even my new boyfriends.

Okay, that’s it. I’m going to do it: I’m going to attend Adamson in a fucking skirt, and kick some ass.

Follow the clues, catch the bad guys, secure my future. Because, murder-mysteries aside, this is my final year of high school, and nothing lasts forever, right? Not even a forever crew.

***THE FOREVER CREW is a 120,000 word lighthearted reverse harem/high school/murder-mystery romance novel with a bully/suspense twist. This is book three of three in the series (with a fourth book crossover coming, titled "Orientation", that connects this series with my "Rich Boys of Burberry Prep" series). Contains foul language and sexual scenes; any sex featured is consensual.

C.M. Stunich is a self-admitted bibliophile with a love for exotic teas and a whole host of characters who live full time inside the strange, swirling vortex of her thoughts. Some folks might call this crazy, but Caitlin Morgan doesn't mind - especially considering she has to write biographies in the third person. Oh, and half the host of characters in her head are searing hot bad boys with dirty mouths and skillful hands (among other things). If being crazy means hanging out with them everyday, C.M. has decided to have herself committed.

She hates tapioca pudding, loves to binge on cheesy horror movies, and is a slave to many cats. When she's not vacuuming fur off of her couch, C.M. can be found with her nose buried in a book or her eyes glued to a computer screen. She's the author of over thirty novels - romance, new adult, fantasy, and young adult included. Please, come and join her inside her crazy. There's a heck of a lot to do there.

Okay, boomer.

Eh, I can honestly say I haven't heard anyone say that in front of me before. Heck, not even in a book until this one. Now, I'm no longer a "okay boomer" virgin and I'm not sure how I feel about that. Other than that, The Forever Crew was a meh book overall. The first two books were a lot better in my eyes/opinion. This one just seemed to drag on forever and not let me go.

Plus, the amount of 'okay boomer' from our girl just annoyed me. I get it, she was pissed about what was happening but lord all mighty - I wanted to slap the shit out of her. Maybe then she would've been less annoying.

The guys and the romance were good but nothing that really made me love them more - ya know? I think the whole mysterious cult thing was more interesting but definitely died down towards the end. It was predictable and just sad in my eyes. The whole fight thing was just lame too.

I wanted more but ugh.. this just annoyed the shit out of me.

Nooooo hurry up I need to know what happened *crie*

After the brutal cliffhanger of book2 we are left with so much questions ... I always thought Church was involved but I don’t think he’s the bad guy, I think he knows something and is trying, maybe clumsily, to protect all his friends, especially his bestie.

I feel depth in his character, someone who is troubled with his identity, questioning his own existence... I think he’s too extreme, like what he likes he loves and protects so hard he can hurt other to keep it safe, and when he hates, he destroys. And he’s wickedly clever. So very very smart, with steps ahead of others... sigh

Dear Stunich, I took a big liking to this série, do your best to finish it and thank you for writing it !

An unsatisfying conclusion to a terrible series.

At one point there was a debate between whether Stunich would release Bornstead U, a crossover between Adamson Academy and Burberry Prep, before this book was released. Apparently, she decided to finish this series first, which makes sense, considering it would contain spoilers for Adamson Academy.

This series could never be considered amazing, but there was a definite decline in quality as it continued, which I think directly reflects the author’s investment in the series. After deciding on the crossover, the only thing standing in her way was completing The Forever Crew.

Beyond the rush job, there was a lot wrong with this book.

❌ Stunich has an unfortunate habit of making one of her underage male heroes a smoker in every book. You know, for the aesthetic.

❌ The copious descriptions of scent. At 8% in, Church’s lilac and rosemary scent had already been referred to three times, as though we didn’t hear enough about it in the first two books.

❌ The ridiculous caricatures that were the adults in this novel, from her cartoonish father to the FBI agent librarian.

❌ Charlotte’s torturous inner dialogue. Some examples: “A little flower of gladness opens up inside me.” “Holy crap, holy crap, holy crap, I get to do it with Ranger Woodruff.” “My heart gallops like a herd of wild horses, manes billowing in the wind, whinnying softly…Ew. What?” Honestly, the quotes speak for themselves.

❌ The mystery. It was so boring, every time the book focused on it I found myself mentally drifting off. The characters had the most half-assed attempt at sleuthing I’ve ever seen. They just stumble on every clue with no plan and rely on the goodwill of others when it comes to revealing information. And one of the stupidest parts of the book was the way the bodies were staged when Charlotte stumbled upon them, then quickly and mysteriously hidden when it comes time for anyone else to find them. What was the purpose? Why go through all that trouble for nothing?

Plus, there were long sections that wouldn’t include any aspect of the mystery at all. At one point, one of the characters says “Why do you think the killers leave us alone for such a long period of time?” Which is stupid, because obviously they leave them alone for so long so that we can read subpar sex scenes.

❌ How meta this book was. There were multiple mentions of bully romances, the anime this book was based off of, reverse harems, and Charlotte referring to her life as a book or referencing how much the author of her book hates her. Plus, Charlotte’s travels reflect those of Stunich herself. First the trip to Disneyland, then London. At the end there’s a mention of traveling to Paris soon, and I can’t help but wonder if that is Stunich’s next vacation.

❌ There is never any consensus on Charlotte’s pronouns. Even when Charlotte and her dad are alone together, he stumbles over calling her “son” and using male pronouns. What’s the point when you’re alone? You both obviously know that she’s a female. And the guys’ weird fascination with her fake penis continues in this book for no discernable reason.

❌ The treatment of female characters in this novel. There isn’t a single female character that isn’t villainized in this novel. Monica, Charlotte’s “friend,” is constantly maligned, and the other two female characters that actually get names, Selena and Aster, are immediately belittled for their appearances and hated on. Which is later justified because didn’t you know, they’re part of the cult that’s killing people. What makes it even more appalling are the random speeches scattered throughout the book about feminism. The book pays lip service to the idea without ever actually embracing the concept.

❌ This book is bad, and it doesn’t even have the decency to be bad without ripping off Ouran High School Host Club and Stunich’s other bully series, Burberry Prep. The last half of the book is literally a replica of the face-off between Marnye and the infinity club students, but now it’s Charlotte versus Aster, Selena, and Mark. Before they ever have proof that Aster and Selena are anything other than new students, the heroes have already started to bully them. As soon as they arrive on campus, two of the guys reveal that they’ve already stuffed the girls’ lockers with condoms. Sound familiar?

❌ Charlotte is just…a terrible person. She gets sadistically glad whenever someone is getting beat up or one of the heroes says something rude or dismissive about other women. She constantly internally tears into other people but preaches acceptance and kindness, and she has irrational flashes of jealousy that results in her being petty about the females, but never the heroes.

❌ This book takes the weirdest stance on bullying. At one point, Charlotte talks about how she “faced” her problems instead of “tattling” to the headmaster about being bullied, which is the worst kind of bullshit.

❌ The sex scenes in this book are 100% not sexy. Primarily due to Charlotte’s inane inner monologue, but also because the guys have the worst dirty talk ever. At one point Spencer says “I want to do it without a condom so bad right now,” which..isn’t a super common female fantasy. And for some awful reason, after every sex scene Stunich mentions that the guys tie off the condom, and at one point Ranger puts the tied-off condom in his pocket, even though he’s in a room with trash cans. Why?!? One of the draws for smut is that it allows you to indulge in fantasy, without any of the real-world consequences. Like the fact that sex is messy and there’s some clean up involved after. Really, there didn’t need to be added word count after each sex scene to tell the reader how the condom was going to be disposed of.

❌ The way that sex, sexuality, and intimacy are referenced in this book are just…weird and immature. Charlotte has a bizarre glee over anything potentially sexual. All she thinks about is sex, yet she is somehow completely incapable of understanding when it’s about to happen, even when someone literally hands her a condom. The book juxtaposes her strong opinions on sex with her juvenile inability to even think the words “hand job.” There was an actual scene in this book where Charlotte calls fooling around “hand stuff” and laments her embarrassment thinking about it before launching into an internal monologue about sexuality to lecture the reader.

❌ Charlotte likes to disparage wealth but can’t let go of the fantasy of all of the comforts it provides. She criticizes it in the same breath that she fetishizes it.

❌ Much like this review, this book was all over the place. Its biggest problem was that it was the worst form of wish fulfillment that I’ve ever read. It was the culmination of every type of high school fantasy trope, and it read like a self-insert fanfiction. It’s a lot of work to fit that many fantasies into one novel, which probably explains the haphazard plot.

If you’ve gotten this far you already know that I don’t recommend this book.

BR with the cakeaters @ RHR

I can't tell you who I'm more surprised at. Stunich or myself? We both have a problem finishing series.

Although she has maybe been doing better recently. I'll give her that.

This was 100%, without a doubt, the most fluffy and sweet story you're likely to find from Stunich. We know she can do dark and dangerous but this was all light. It was a murder mystery but were we ever in doubt of the HEA?. No my friends we were not. The shining stars are the Student Council, I loved these characters from book 1 and they are still entertaining. But now the heat has come they are sexy too...

Ranger (who I keep calling Hunter for some reason) in particular needs a round of applause for this one. He was ridiculously cute.

The murder mystery was really backseat to the student council relationships. I was entertained but not wowed. It didn't keep me up at night in suspense.

I'm glad it came to an end and we had closure. Even thought it didn't give me the feels, The Secret Girl will remain one of my all time favourite RHs. The fact that Ouran High School Host Club was one of my all time favourite anime ...might have something to do with that. But who cares how it came about, only that it did.

DNF 67%
I’m sorry, but I just couldn’t do it anymore. This book was such a letdown on so many levels. It went on and on and dragged and I eventually just stop caring. I skim read like 40% of the 67% I read and even skim reading was taking more effort than I wanted to give. I just feel like all of the things that made me love the series were missing and even though I love the male characters with all my heart (except for maybe Spencer), they weren’t enough to make me hold on anymore.

Also, this story’s villains were kinda finally revealed and I was unimpressed. I was expecting some giant plot twist like Jenica actually not being dead or something. That would have shocked me and kept me hooked longer than this. But really C.M.?! That’s the direction you want to go?! Whatever.

Edit: The more I think about it, the more I want to lower my rating... I think I'll stop at two stars.

I won't lie, I was looking forward to the end of this book. I wanted answers and get to the conclusion. I'm not sure when it happened but I just wanted it to be over and it dragged a bit a lot. It doesn't mean I didn't like the first two books because I did. I liked reading about the relationships since it was the main plot beside the mystery

I'm not sure if it became repetitive or just didn't held my attention but once I put it down I didn't pick it back up immediately and that's why I only finished it a week after I started reading it.

While I'm glad I finished the series, it's far from being a favorite, especially the finale. I felt like some people confessed out of the blue and for no other reason except that it was time for the plot to move along I guess. Also, the justifications behind the murders felt a bit idk... weak? I wasn't impressed.

I didn't particularly love their happy ending either so that sucks. The thing I liked the most in this book was probably Ranger and his baking lol. I didn't really love the FMC that much either especially when she was acting like a brat and the "okay boomer" became old really fast!

Overall, really disappointing finale that leaves a bad taste in my mouth...

Ruined me for other bully romance books

Yall... I can’t put into words how much I loved this series!! I’m, for real, upset that I have to say goodbye to these characters. I want this forever crew to go on forever. The storyline kept me hooked the entire time, trying to figure out who was trying to kill our main character. The relationship between our heroine and her heroes... I have a new found love for slow burn. This wasn’t insta love and it made the bonds between them SO much better. The authors writing was on point and character development is top notch. The bullying wasn’t over the top, so it was believable that they could become friends afterwards. The murder mystery/suspense was amazing. I laughed out loud multiple times throughout the series. I just... I can’t get over how much I loved this series. It’s definitely going on my “to be read again and again and again” bookshelf! I want to reiterate that I read this series of my own free will lol no ARC, no free copies, all my own choosing and I’m SO glad I did. You need this series in your life. This bully romance, reverse harem murdered my expectations. This is Kaylee B, saying goodbye to the forever crew, forever wishing these characters were real... over and out.

*****UPDATE DUE TO REREAD*****

So, I loved this series so much the first time that I decided to do a reread. I have to say, I still love this series. I did notice a few things this time around that I either didn’t pick up on or was just so dang engrossed in the story that I didn’t care lol but Charlotte... the way she is with her father irritated me this time around. She does go through major character growth throughout the series but I’ve noticed that she is downright disrespectful to her dad and “okay boomer”ing him because he’s worried about his SEVENTEEN year old daughter. I do like that the guys call her out on her being the one to be an uppity brat when she continuously complains about rich people. She definitely grows and matures throughout the series, but she was a little much for me this time around. The other thing I noticed this time... Charlotte is attacked at Santa Cruz high and nobody besides the guys really believe her, but there was a lunch lady that came out and saw Charlotte being attacked. Did CM forget she put that in the book? Why didn’t Charlotte speak up and tell them there was a witness so her dad didn’t think she was making things up? This did not ruin the series for me at all, I definitely still love the series, but just thought I’d throw my current thoughts out there since I reread the series!

Oh, what a disappointment!
The story seemed to drag and drag and the finale was just hastily slapped together. The whole mystery built through the first two books resolved so lamely and sort of quick. And then, of course, happily ever after like in all of her other books.
Such a letdown for the series that the first two books were promising.

The Secret Girl #1: ‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾☆ 5 stars ☆☽༓・*˚⁺‧͙
The Ruthless Boys #2: ‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾☆ 3.5 stars ☆☽༓・*˚⁺‧͙
The Forever Crew #3: ‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾☆ 3.5 stars ☆☽༓・*˚⁺‧͙

This is gonna be my review for the whole trilogy, so there might be a few spoilers, but I'll try my best not to say names or stuff like that for you not to feel spoiled. Also, this is my first ever reverse harem story, so keep that in mind. I can't compare this with other authors stories or feel this is the same "formula" C.M. Stunich always use, cause I haven't read anything else about this.

Charlotte

She was a good heroine. Like she was a great teenager MC. I liked how she slowly started to dive into the whole polyamorous stuff and that she loved every boy the same. I never felt any kind of favoritism from her and I'm happy about that. In the first book, she was a bit bratty and rude, but I never disliked her, it made sense why she was like that. I did hate the "Okay, boomer" comments. It felt weird. She grew up a little bit in the span of almost two years and I think the boys had a lot to do with that.

Church
He was the lider and honestly, I loved every scene he was in. I craved for him and I found him so interesting and just sweet.

Spencer
Aw, he was so stupidly sweet. He was the one who made the move first and even though at the beginning of the second book he was a bit annoying with all the possessiveness, he grew on me.

Tobias
He was portrayed at the beginning as the sweetest guy and the most relatable, and even though he was, he was much more than that. I don't know why but every time he was with Charlotte I felt a calm over me, it was weird. But loved him.

Micah
Such a bad boy, ugh. I'm a sucker for those. I never thought I could fall for twins, but these guys... I swear. They were so much fun and Micah was amazing. I really loved seeing his flaws, it made him more human and I just enjoyed him a lot.

Ranger
HE was the sweetest one out of the whole bunch. He had a rock star persona with his appearance, but he was a literal teddy bear. I hated the tension and awkwardness that dragged for like half a book-almost the whole second book. It was awful!!

Other people
Archie. Kind of hated him half the time, kind of understand why he was doing stuff.

The school staff. I got a lot of them confused most of the time lmao

Conflict
So, the final conflict in the third book I think was a little bit rushed. We had this coming for 3 books and almost 2 years, for it to be over 10 pages. Idk, like I still got a few questions about the villains and the hundreds of people there, but it was good nonetheless.

My favorite one was the first cause it had me hooked from start to finish and it had everything. We got romance, suspense and just uncertainty about what was about to happen. It was great. Then the second and third were okay, I don't think this could've been resolved in only two books cause we had a lot of romance and character development. So, I'm not mad about this being a trilogy. They had some boring and stale moments, though. Overall, I enjoyed this and I'm definitely giving this reverse harem stuff another go in the future, I though I was going to have a favorite guy or I would feel uncomfortable, but that wasn't the case AT ALL. I loved them all equally and I really liked it. Don't knock it till u try it, i guess.

Here's what I needed after reading The Secret Girl & The Ruthless Boys:
- Some more romance to solidify Chuck and the boys as a stable harem group
- Answers about the people hunting Chuck & the connection to Jenica
- Archie to be put in his place (preferably more than once)

Now, I did get a bit of each of these things, some more deeply than others. And, like my other reviews of the Adamson books, I have to wholeheartedly admit that despite what's lacking, I was still thoroughly entertained, so I'm not suggesting people avoid the series or this installment at all.

Anyway, onward...
- As far as the romance goes, I actually wish there was a bit more. There are some adorable moments and declarations that did make me smile and have happy butterflies on the inside. However, it all felt very even. Each of the guys had what seemed like their primary steamy time to shine, and while I enjoyed those moments a lot, it felt a little bit like the box was getting ticked so none of the fans got mad that their favorite had one moment less than others. With the idea of the relationship as a whole, I think Stunich does a good job of easily taking care of the problem- Will Chuck actually need to choose? The way the boys work it out makes sense for the chemistry and crowd she's developed, so while that was easy, it wasn't something that felt forced to me. HOWEVER, I do have some other questions. Chuck's parents know about the harem set-up....do Church's parents? It seems like there's no real hiding of the affection in the way they look at, talk to, or handle Chuck. While I know we get a bit more of them from the Bornstead U Crossover, I wish this had been handled in The Forever Crew since it's talked so much about how Church's parents are the ULTIMATE romantics.

- The mystery....GAH. This is the area where, like in The Ruthless Boys, I just needed more than other aspects of the storytelling. We do wind up finding out who's coming for Chuck, who murdered Jenica, and some of the other people involved. BUT I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS. The answer is actually pretty interesting, but it lacks the detail I need. I still don't 100% understand how Chuck and Jenica and (someone else I can't say because it's a huge spoiler) got chosen by the people coming after them. There are comments made by the attackers that give off a type of mission-statement/motto, and I could totally dig into that and I DO have my ideas about why they were chosen, but I was hoping that would be explained to me rather than something I'd be left guessing.

Stunich has interesting ideas as far as the mystery plot goes, but I think they need more depth and time to execute them as well as I'd like.

- Last but not least, Archie. By the end of the book, Chuck and Archie have mended their connection, but I don't know that I entirely believe it. I still have questions about how he's so dismissive of her, and I'm not sure that I completely believe her understanding of his motivations. It feels like their relationship was wrapped up because that's what's supposed to happen at the end of the series, but I wanted more moments, more talking between them, to really get this smoothed out in a more believable way.

So, generally, I maintain my opinion on this series as a whole. Wholly entertaining, and I fully admit I'll read whatever new installments come out, but I definitely go into it with the fair reminder that it won't be perfect.

I’m finding it really hard to rate this book. I loved the evolution of the characters and the drama at this all boys school. The overall plot with the ‘cult’ was such a disappointment though. Not to mention when it all came down to it, everything was wrapped up too easily, I mean the police swarmed in and that’s the end of it. Like what?!?! Three books of buildup to end so quickly and fast just didn’t work for me. In fact even them discussing it was rushed after the fact and I guess I just expected more. Her dad was beyond disappointing, I’m sorry he was just such an asshole. He was beyond mean to her and the whole time he’d known so much more about what was going on and never said a word, such a dick face. The romance though I did love. Her bond with each guy was its own thing and I loved that aspect. And church who I had the hardest time connecting with really changed my opinion of him this time around. He was really sweet and while he tried to give her an out on their engagement you could tell he didn’t want it to be fake.
I really did laugh a lot in this book especially when they were just having a conversation and her fake dick just fell out on the floor, I almost died then. The guys continuing to call her chuck and micro-penis, just made it impossible for me to dislike the book. Great series, disappointing climax but overall I really loved it.

**2024 Review **
I can certainly see why I thought this ending was so anticlimactic because it really is. Not a fan of how quick the wrap up was for the characters. I realize there is a FINAL story out but I don't really want to read the other series just to get closure. And if I'm being honest while I did enjoy the characters and plot enough, I do have one glaring issue and that's with the heroine. I'm just not sure what is so amazing about her that makes these 5 teen boys want her so bad. I'm glad they find a way to be adults and talk things out but it just irks me cause no offense, there's really nothing overly special about her. The only thing setting her apart from everyone is the fact she started at the Academy as a boy. I also still think it's dumb she forgave her friend after crossing the line with her then boyfriend. Doesn't' matter Charlotte didn't want him, it's the principle of the thing.

I have to say that every time i read a C.M Stunich book, at first i always question myself, can someone really fall in love with more than one person at the same time? But as the story goes, i realize that it is indeed possible and these books demonstrate it. I seriously love these boys with all my heart, i love their personalities and every one of them is so different from each other yet they all made me fall in love❤️ i wish i had someone like Spencer, Church, Tobias, Micah and/or Ranger by my side, i’d seriously be the luckiest girl🥺

Read other books by this author in the future: maybe

Finally after waiting a long time The Forever Crew is out. And I started reading it after it was delivered to my kindle.
First of all: It is definitely the last book of this series. This book is pretty good. I liked the overall pace of the book, but there are some passages, which seemed to be too long, because you really want to know how this will end. A lot of secrets are revealed and there is a HEA. We get to know a lot of the secret like why was Jenica murdered and who is behind this all. The relationship between Chuck and her father is also a theme in this book.
Some n*** baking scenes with Ranger and also some bitching. I enjoyed reading it. But there are definitely plot inconsistencies and the reader is left with some questions, because she just glossed over some stuff.

I am not sure if I am going to read other Sturnich books. After Groupie I actually did not want to start this series but some of my gr friends were all in and I gave it a try and I liked the whole series. I did not like the C.M. Sturnich announces her books and shortly before the date it get’s pushed back. So the last book was at least have a year late. This gets pretty frustrating for the readers. I am sure the author also have issues with it, but then again she can refrain from giving dates but upload them and then send newsletters or do posts on social media.

I'm a secret girl, with my ruthless boys... my forever crew

Reverse - harem with a splash of murder mystery that can struggle all 3 titles of the trilogy in one sentence. It was enjoyable and sexy and yes, I recommend it if you enjoy a reverse harem and want to feel like a teenage girl with hormones flare up. Wish it had more spicy erotic moments. Also, like the two previous, it kind of bothered me that one of our 18th year old protagonist is thinking like:

"Our past isn't an anchor that keeps us tied to a shipwreck beneath the sea; it's the sail that we can collect wind in so that we can soar."
Like... said no 18-year old never.

I’ll be honest- there was zero interest for me with this book. Hence why it took me like two weeks to finish it.

What I didn’t see coming was the cult plot-twist.
And I’ll be honest.... it wasn’t that exciting.

I don’t know if it’s because we waited so long for book 3, or that I read some other books that were so much more compelling before starting this one.

I was in a small book coma before reading this one so maaaaybe take this with a grain of salt.

Ranger is still my fave.
They graduated
They’re going to Bornstead so prob meeting up with Marnye and her crew.

Nothing was really exciting about this book, I was just waiting for the HEA.

^^thats basically all I have to say.

I did however love this series as a whole which is why I gave this 4 stars.

Maybe it's been too long since I've read the others, but was Charlotte more hypocritical in this book? She keeps making these quips and snide comments about checking the boys' privilege and then fully embraces all of the perks of that privilege and complains when she can't. It just ended up coming across as preachy by the author rather than a genuine component of Charlotte's character.

At the same time, I just stayed up until 2 AM to finish reading it (though mostly hoping those questions would be answered eventually), so... torn on how to feel. I did get caught up reading it, but I mostly found myself wanting to like it more than I did.

3.5 stars, rounded up to 4 stars.

Despite having loved the series as a whole, this book was a bit of a disappointing ending. I have very little to say on this book specifically, but you can find my reviews for The Secret Girl and The Ruthless Boys here.

One of my main issue with this concluding book, was the revelation that the murders were I felt this was the 'easy' thing to do, and that it had been done before - and done better, at that.

In spite of my general irritation with certain aspects of the book, it was still a very good read and held my attention very well. Roll on Orientation, the crossover novel between Adamson Academy and Burberry Prep, due later in the year.

Dnf @ 60ish%. I just can’t anymore. My god it really went from bad to worse and not even the murder mystery/cult plotline was enough to keep me going because it’s being handled so haphazardly.

This book resumes where Charlotte is running in the woods because she just saw Church holding a knife and ran because she also saw the people with the masks. She suspects him since he’s in a suspicious state, and she bumps into Spencer wearing a black hoodie so now she doesn’t know what to think. When she finds out it’s Micah’s hoodie, he’s the next suspect especially when they find a lighter with wax in the pocket. It was chaos and she was losing her trust in the boys, until they all explained themselves. Meanwhile, the killers are still on the loose and follow her everywhere. They eventually find out it’s part of an initiation cult, Ranger’s father is the lead and that’s how his sister died too. To get into this Fellowship of the Divine cult you have to choose someone and end their life, and someone selected Charlotte.

I know this is a HS romance but there was many times where the dialogue was so cringey that I had to put my book down. Whether it was the insults Charlotte was creating (ass pig, cum wad, etc.), her attitude towards sex, calling her father a “boomer” and being completely serious about it.

As for the relationship with the guys, I’m glad that they had a conversation about how she could date anyone within the book. It felt like her relationship with Spencer, Tobias & Micah was developed more and Ranger/Church were thrown in last minute. While they all had connections with her, she didn’t do things with them because she always thought of the others first. However, it was cute that they were all protective of her and would sacrifice anything for her. Church and Charlotte also got fake-engaged so she could return back to the academy, so that was definitely something.

Church, likes to drink coffee. Ranger, blushes at cute things. Spencer, not prone to sharing but it’s okay with the guys because they’re his family. Micah & Tobias, false bad boys because they’ve only shared Charlotte and everything else was a lie.

The book ends with all of them going to Bornstead University next year, and during summer, the boys and Charlotte have a trip planned that’ll take them around the world and back. They got their happy ending and are all going to live in an apartment together & only date each other. Right now, that works for them but they said if it ever stopped being something they wanted, they could communicate that with each other too.

I think the way the cult drama was resolved was so quick and felt like a rushed ending, just to give them a happy ending and put an end to the trilogy. If this is a very powerful cult with connections everywhere, why was it that easy for the FBI to arrest so many of them, I would have guessed that someone would have had someone on the inside and gotten them bail. I don’t think it’s every really over, considering all of them were probably not arrested. I wasn’t surprised that it was Mark, Selena, Aster, and Gareth, especially because they’re rich kids so of course they have the money to follow Charlotte and the guys around. It’s just odd, like I needed to know more about the cult origins and how no one at the school every spoke up about it, besides the obvious of possibly getting murdered.

𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥, I liked the other two books more than this one. It felt like there was an emphasis on the killers only for it to be a quick resolution that really disappointed me. The romance was cute and I do think that they will be endgame because they’re completely infatuated with each other.

Disappointed

I was really looking forward to this book as I’d read the first two books and loved them but I found this book rather disappointing. I found it didn’t have the suspense or spicy, steaminess of the previous books and that it was rather tame. I was really disappointed that we never got to see Charlotte and Church get married and with it being the final book we never will. A great disappointment and a bit of a waste of two days if I say so.

Forever Crew

What a tense ending!!
Im a huge CM fan and devour everything she writes, but for some absurd reason I didn't expect to love this series quite as much as I did. I feel very silly for waiting so long to read it.
Looking forward to the crossover novel with The Rich Boys of Burberry Prep even more so now!

I didn't connect with this book at all.
It felt shallow or something. Not that the characters were shallow necessarily, but the book itself just didn't feel like it had much depth to me.
This is a terrible explanation lol I'm sorry, but idk what else to say.
