From New York Times best-selling author A.L. Jackson, an exquisite new romance available in audio-first!

Sometimes trying to catch a star will light your whole world on fire....

Emily’s entire existence is wrapped up in touring with her up-and-coming country rock band Carolina George and trying to build them into a music legend. Her passionate night with a gorgeous, tattooed bad boy was the result of too much time on the road, too much tequila and combustible physical chemistry. It was never supposed to follow her into the light of day, much less threaten everything she and the band have worked so hard to create.

Royce’s night with the lead singer of Carolina George was the worst mistake of his life. He needs the band to sign on to his record label or his family will pay the price. But will his irresistible attraction to Emily destroy his carefully laid plans?

Royce’s past is littered with mistakes and heartache - will his love for Emily be just one more tragedy?

THE FEELS!!! OMG THE FEELS!!! Once again A.L. Jackson delivers a stellar story that will wrap you up in so many emotions that you just cannot function after putting the book down! I have been intrigued by Emily and Royce and my mind is literally blown. I felt every raw emotion these two felt through the story. You have Royce who is a darker alpha who can brood with the best of them. You have Emily who wants what is best for her band but things get so twisted for her. My jaw dropped with the ending and how things are all intertwined.
Overall, this is one of my favorite Jackson books. I am not a massive fan of Rockstar books, but there is some magic that Jackson weaves within her words. They are so raw and beautiful and heartfelt. You feel what the characters are feeling. Especially in this one. My heart ached so much for Emily. Then everything Royce had going on. It was brilliantly tied together. Another beyond epic read from Jackson!

This is the first AL Jackson book I’ve read in years, and I’m so glad I picked it up. It was just the kind of book I needed. The kind that tugged on my heartstrings and had just the right amount of angsty drama. I love a good rock-star romance, and I especially love when the heroine is the musician.

Emily is the lead singer of her country rock band and they’re about to get their big break. Her life has been in shambles lately and she’s trying to move past it, but it’s hard. When Royce enters her life, she’s not sure what to think about him. The attraction is there between them full force, but there’s something else. A connection she never saw coming.

I was really into Royce’s chapters and finding out more about his past. Both of their stories broke my heart in different ways. I love when two broken characters come together and that’s exactly what happened here.

The audiobook was narrated by Jason Clarke and Virginia Rose and both did a phenomenal job. Jason is one of my favorite male narrators and he voiced Royce perfectly. There were no quality issues with the audiobook and I highly recommend listening to this one.

If you’re looking for a rock-star romance that’s angsty, emotional, and even a bit suspenseful, pick up Catch Me When I Fall!

How can I possibly describe what I felt after reading this book?

"It was like there was a void inside of me where nothing lived. Nothing breathed. And one minute of you, and there was a flicker of life. A spark. "

Catch Me When I Fall is a hauntingly beautiful story that will leave you breathless from the angst, speechless from the drama and gasping from the jaw-dropping moments that unfold. Amy is such a master with words that she delivers this powerful story as vivid images, captivating your attention page after page from beginning to end. Royce and Emily's story was heartbreaking, gripping, raw and yet I was so consumed I couldn't stop reading no matter the amount of tears and heartache I endured for these two. Their story is one that will stay with me and that's when I know this is a TOP READ for me!

"You're all fire, Precious, but the best kind. A star bursting on the stage. "

This was my first A.L. Jackson book. I can't say I disliked it but I didn't particularly love it. I enjoyed Royce and Emily's connection despite it being super insta without any real getting to know each other. This definitely worked for me. I also love this subgenre so that's definitely in this story's favor.

One thing I really don't like is if characters obsess over something only they are privy to. There are hints at something they did and it's so bad that it will blow up in their face but what this is...well, you can only guess until you get to one of the last chapters. I really dislike authors using this tool to heighten the suspense.

I also thought it was unnecessary for Royce to never share his secret with Emily. I know a lot was running on his plan not being exposed but why he didn't trust her is anyone's guess. When his secrets finally did blow up and it turned out that he did things for all the right reasons it was difficult for me to understand why Emily was so unforgiving. She felt used, but it was obvious that Royce didn't actually use her.

This all built up to an overly dramatic story that had a lot of "Oh God"-s and "God"-s. I need to know how many times a sentence started with a variation of Oh God.

Now, with all that being said I still enjoyed this story, it was weirdly addictive so that I was looking forward to picking it up again when I had to pause.

Of course the narrators Jason Clarke and Virginia Rose do an excellent job with their narration. I thought Jason was the perfect choice for narrating Royce, he has this deep, slightly raspy voice that fit this character well. And Virginia Rose has the sweet lyrical voice that was needed for Emily. So for these two alone this story is worth listening to.

I will definitely read more of AL Jackson, I do see the potential of liking other stories by her!

Well this is different. Usually miss Jackson is a dramatic, poetic writer. I still remember Pieces of Us, one of her fine work. In Catch Me When I Fall, she change her signature writing. I find I wish she writes it with her signature writing.

The whole book is not bad. It still romantic swoony story. There is so many plots that enhance the story. Especially Royce's past. His past is the backbone of the story. But you have to be very patience because the secret reveal toward the end.

Overall I do enjoy this book OK. OK read for weekend.

description

"I touch you, and you won't ever forget it. I'll wreck you, beautiful. Looks to me like your heart is banged enough."

Catch Me When I Fall was a great book, and my favorite thing was the progression of Emily and Royce's relationship. Most of AL Jackson's book start of in a bit of an insta-love/lust way, which I normally don't like, but I always enjoy how the author handles it in her books. So I didn't really mind it in this case. Emily is the lead singer of the country band Carolina George (the same band Leif from the previous book Kiss the Stars is a member of), and Royce is head of A&R at Mylton Records who is put in charge to convince the band to sign to the record label. However, from the start you will notice that things aren't what they seem, and that Royce is hiding things from Emily and the band. He is out for revenge, but who is he exacting the revenge for and what is his end goal? You'll need to read the book to find out.

"That's what fallin' does, Royce. It changes everything. Because when you fall, you don't know where you're going to land. This...this was where I wanted to be. To fall and land in the safety of your arms."

I loved seeing Royce and Emily trust and open up to each other. Royce was very caring, protective and understanding. Emily has been hurt in the near past and is trying to find her way out of the darkness. Royce sees her cry out for help and piece by piece pulls her out of that darkness. I loved these two together so much. The dynamic of their relationship was great, and the way the it developed felt very organic. They were both hurt in the past, but they were able to heal each other and come out stronger. The setting of the book was also very enjoyable, I especially loved when the band was on tour and back in their home town. This book was romantic, emotional, suspenseful, sensual, and a little bit mysterious, which all worked perfectly together. I only wish the epilogue was longer, but it did make me extremely happy when I read it.

How does AL Jackson steal my breath, take my tears, hug my heart, and stamp all over my soul with every book she brings to life? In the seven years I’ve read this insanely creative and brilliant story maker’s words, I can’t help but declare that AL Jackson’s writing is on its own level. Her prose stands on its own pedestal. Like all of AL Jackson’s soul-slashing stories, Catch Me When I Fall is a potent blend of poetry and lyrical prose with beauty, brokenness, and passion woven with a parallelizing intensity that evokes every emotion.

Catch Me When I Fall is story of a hero and heroine linked together by music, a journey of two shattered souls who become whole together. Royce is one hell of a hero: broken, broody, sweet, sexy, charming, protective, and all man. Emily is stunning, light and sweet with a voice and heart of sunshine. A hero and heroine who are the anchors to each other’s storms, drawn together like two broken moths to one burning flame. Oh did I feel them burn! I felt their pull pierce me through the pages.

This man who’d stepped in to save me and looked like he could destroy me in the same breath.

The depth and broken beauty in this book parallelized me, trapping me in this tale’s trance. My emotions were so engulfed in this story that I could do nothing but surrender. I became undone, as Catch Me When I Fall took me under its soulful spell. I felt every zap of energy and every emotion behind every word, words that made me bleed tears from the raw broken beauty of this book.

”Your voice is the only song I hear.”

Each word a star that shines in the dark.
Each line a lyric.
The story a song singing to my soul.
All woven in a spell of serendipity.

Catch Me When I Fall is a heart-stopping story of soulmates, serendipity, and second chances at life and love. It makes you believe in love against the odds ... believe in light after darkness ... believe in the impossible. Catch Me When I Fall claimed my heart, blew my mind, and stole my breath from the very first page . . . and never stopped. This passionately poetic, weak-in-the-knees, angst-bleeding, breath-bating, soul-slashing, brokenly beautiful masterpiece that wholeheartedly caught me as I fell under its spell. I’m still flying.

She’s a star that can’t be extinguished.
Soulshine.
Her flame is too bright.

There aren’t enough stars in the universe to bestow on this heart-stopping story, a star that shines in spirit and soul.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ but worth all the soulshine stars

This story sucked me and played with every single one of my emotions. Royce and Emily both had so much story to tell and they were both hurt in the past, a hurt that was still haunting them and made my heart hurt for them also. I loved getting to see how they came together with some crazy explosive chemistry despite everything that was holding them back.

This story was actually pretty suspenseful and we were left in the dark when it came to these characters' pasts which I very much enjoyed. It's what had me the most captivated and I really liked how that mystery part of the story played out.

My only complaint is that after such a slow and suspenseful build up, the ending seemed too rushed and I think there needed to be more of an in depth ending, especially when it came to Royce. Overall though, I still loved this book and it was a fun read even when it was being more mysterious.

✨Review Catch Me When I Fall (Falling Stars, #2) by A.L. Jackson✨

“𝙄 𝙩𝙤𝙪𝙘𝙝 𝙮𝙤𝙪, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙞𝙩. 𝙄’𝙡𝙡 𝙬𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙠 𝙮𝙤𝙪, 𝙗𝙚𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙪𝙡. 𝙇𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙙 𝙪𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝”

Amy strikes again with yet another fabulous, angsty, beautiful, rockstar romance. Amy can elicit such raw emotions in all her books you truly feel as though you’re living the lives of these characters. 𝗔𝗺𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱. 𝗛𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗼𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰, 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹. Once again.. I had no idea where this book was going. Amy can write plot twists like nobody’s business. Also can I just say this is definitely my favourite cover Amy has done🔥 Can be read as a stand-alone.

Emily is beautiful, caring, brave, and loving. She is the lead singer of Carolina George, she’s got the world at her feet and so many amazing things coming, only.. something is missing. A family, a partner, true love, someone there for her. She almost had all that until she realized her finances indiscretions just when her whole world was already falling apart. Now suffering alone and in silence Emily will do anything to keep her band happy and her brother safe, even if that means selling her soul to the devil and coming face to face with the devil himself who stole her confidence, bravery, and voice.

Royce is beyond sexy but he is oh so damaged, He lost his whole world in the blink of an eye and he is determined to make those around him who had a hand in it to make them pay. Now the head of Mylton Records Royce is sent in to convince Carolina George they need to sign with them. Only Royce wasn’t expecting the instant emotional, sexual connection to Emily. How can he do what he’s there to do now when just the night before he had Emily panting and withering for him. This is going to be one messed up wild ride, with emotions at an all time high filled with lust, confusion, heartbreak, betrayal and lies.

5 Star Review Catch Me When I Fall (Falling Stars #1) by A.L. Jackson

AUDIO REVIEW:

Where do you start? Firstly A.L. Jackson tore my heart out, ripped it to shreds then put it back together again. I was fully invested in Emily and Royce’s story from the first to the last chapter.

Narrated by Virginia Rose and Jason Clarke who did a stellar job in bringing across all the passion and drama across, they certainly did justice to the storyline. They clearly had different voices for the characters and this added to my enjoyment.

There were times when I was on the edge of my seat as the drama, angst, regrets, sacrifices, passion and heat unfolded. I love a bad boy with a heart of gold that will swoop in to save the heroine and Royce certainly does that and more.

Emily and Royce together are a great couple and I was riveted as I listened to hear how these two damaged souls could and would mend each other.

A.L. Jackson can do no wrong when it comes to a rockstar romance. She pulled it all out for Royce and Emily’s story. Royce is everything you want in a broody alpha and so much more. Emily is the perfect southern girl trying to make it in the music world while holding onto some pretty serious secrets. So many things happened in this book with an explosive ending that was so surprising. There are still some questions I have and I hope we learn more about the other members in Carolina George soon!

When you find yourself at your lowest sometime it’s just a spark that brings you hope. Emily is that spark for Royce. Royce has a plan and he must following through with it to bring freedom to those that he loves! Willing to risk it all for love. So good! Read it or listen to it! I love the narrators so perfect!!

An emotional story that not only captivated me, but took me into a world of music, corruption, and romance.

A dimly lit bar highlights an undeniable attraction that two people can only hope won't light them up from the inside.

━Emily is in agony, yet her band-the people closest to her-are blind to the pain she's in. She needs a distraction, anything to numb her mind.
❝Wrought with danger.
The man written in peril.
And there I was, wanting to wade deeper, reach out and dip in my fingers, pull a little of it into my mouth to wet the thirst growing by the second.❞

━Royce's Royce’s anger is incomprehensible, although palpable when people are in the same room as him. He needs revenge, not someone interfering unintentionally.
❝Tell me, Emily Ramsey...did you know it the second you were born that you were a star?❞

⇝ In the beginning it was a bit challenging to get into the story bc while there was chemistry, I didn’t understand why. But after I got 10% in, the story flew by quickly. Emily and Royce are compelling characters.
⇝ The storyline, which I won’t spoil, was absolutely intriguing. I love revenge plots. I also love stories that discuss the dirty side of the music industry.
⇝ I did round up to 5 stars, but it’s definitely a 4.5 star story. I deducted a bit bc I wish we got to hear more about the people from Royce’s past more. It deserved a better resolution.

"You think I didn't see you come running in here, looking for a place to hide?" His mouth brushed my jaw, his words just loud enough to be heard over the roaring din of the bar. "Right out in the open. Is that what you wanted, to be found?"

A.L. Jackson writes angsty, sexy, and engrossing stories that I just can’t put down. They force you into a world of emotions and your heart will barely be able to handle it.

I was so excited for this book. I loved the first one in the series so much so I could not wait to get my hands on this one. I gotta be honest though, it took me a while to ge into in the beginning but I think it was completely my fault... I was just in a very weird mood and could not read much at a time. Because from the very beginning these two share such a visible connection, one that threatens to jump off the pages.

Both these characters have been so terrilby hurt and they are living with that and how it has affected their lives. Emily finds herself doubting her future and postponing signing a record deal. While Royce lives to get revenge for all that was stolen from him and his sister. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time to finally learn exactly what had happened to both these two characters and once it all comes to light, it's even more crazy and heartbreaking than I had thought. My heart hurts so much for Royce and everything that was done to him. It made me sick. I did love how these two characters were so connected and how there was a reason why their pull towards each other was so strong. I legit love that in stories and Amy never fails to give me that.

Catch Me When I Fall is a story about two lost souls that find each other when they've lost hope and themselves. They build each other help, help each other see the light and find justice for what they have been through. I loved how their relationship progressed, even though Royce never completely opened up with Emily, I still loved watching them openining up to each other about themselves, I loved how they wrote a song together, it was such a cute thing. There were a lot of swoony moments between these two.

Amy's writing as always is beautiful and lyrical and just swoony. Although in this book it felt a little tamed down. But I still really enjoyed this book and adored these characters. I'm super curious about Emily's brother. I hope his book is next and we get our remaining questions answered.

It is so hard for me to accurately put into words how mindblown I am with every new release AL Jackson puts out. She has a way of telling a story that hits you right from the start like a bolt of lightning. Her characters are so expertly developed that you actually "feel" what they feel and experience. Reading her work is like a balm to my soul. This new release is no different. I fell hard for badboy, Royce in the Prologue and am currently still obsessing over him. He is all the things a girl wants and needs. He is rugged, hot, sexy, talented, protective, caring, and so much more. Emily is the beautiful, talented, selfless girl who is trying to balance stardom with strength to overcome a past that still scares and haunts her. Her "soulshines" through her voice and music. These two find an instant connection, but both fight their feelings due to their own personal demons and pasts. This book knocked me off my feet, ripped my heart out and then Jackson expertly put me back together...

I've read and enjoyed so many A.L. Jackson books, but I think that this one just might earn the top spot of my Jackson pile!

While this is book 2 of the Falling Stars series, I believe it can be read it as a stand alone, but I'd recommend that you start with Kiss the Stars because it's so good and some of the characters spill over into Catch Me When I Fall. Not only that but characters from the Bleeding Heart series make an appearance as well. Both these series' characters are bonded by their love of MUSIC.

Music producer, Royce (Reed) Reilly, just secured himself a place as one of my favorite A.L. Jackson males. This dark, brooding, tatted man has a score to settle, a big one, which you'll need to wade through pages to discover. Royce's mission is upended when he attempts to sign the upcoming country band, Carolina George, and gets to personally meet their lead singer, Emily Ramsey.

Together, behind closed doors, Royce and Emily are explosive! Each of them has a secret, and those secrets are about to reconstruct the walls they dropped.

Beautifully written in A.L. Jackson's distinctive style, steeped in southern charm and loyalty, Catch Me When I Fall is a heart twisting must read.

Just what I needed for a relaxing long weekend. Emily is the lead singer for her tight-knit rock band Carolina George. The band is about to get a huge break, but Emily’s emotional state is in a shamble and she is having a hard time moving forward, writing songs and performing. Emily has been through a hard past. She is a survivor and she is strong, but everyone has a breaking point. Royce’s story is mysterious from the start. He came in Emily’s life at the right time not only to help her band but also as a protector/hero for Emily. I love that Royce is a tough nut. He is protective, caring and has a good heart. I also enjoy the plot – just the right amount of angst, drama, passion, and romance. The chemistry is palpable from the moment they met. There is no use denying it and impossible to ignore especially when Royce will be coming on tour with the band. Both the hero and heroine are tortured souls, hiding dark secrets which make the story pretty exciting. You get a little tad bit of hints here and there throughout the book, just enough to keep me on pins and needles, but Royce’s secret is revealed toward the end. The little epilogue – freaking adorable. I really enjoy this author writing – flow smoothly and very poetic at time. Catch Me When I Fall is beautifully written - emotional, heart-wrenching, intense love story.

Apparently uber-drama is just not my thing. And every word in this book was drenched in drama. The characters were likable and I probably would've enjoyed a book about them if it had been written differently. But it was overly dramatic and angst-ridden from the start. And I had to slog through 10+ hours to hear about the secrets that were hinted about in the beginning. It was just too much for me.

And there were 4 male characters, with three of them named Royce, Reece (or Rhys?), and Richard. WTH?

Cover: Nice
Narrators: They are both terrific.
Hogwarts Sorting Hat: Royce is a Gryffindor pretending to be a Slytherin, and Emily is a Hufflepuff

A little disappointed with the second installment in Jackson's "Falling Stars" series. Royce was a man of many secrets and Emily had a few of her own, along with a debilitating fear factor. At times the story felt a bit jumbled up and overrun with the heavy angst factor. I really would have appreciated a little more depth in the foundation of this story. The relationship between this couple was steamy -- but I never really felt the emotions rise to the top while spending time with them. Too much time spent on the suspense and big secrets that this book just didn't quite reach "great read" status. The ending was also rushed and there wasn't much of an Epilogue to leave me on a high note.

description
Catch Me When I Fall is the second book in A.L. Jackson's Falling Stars Series. Royce and Emily's novel can be read as a standalone.

All Emily wants to do is sing her soul out and leave her heart on the stage. That's what she was born to do. Or so that's what she thought a few months back when her life imploded and her greatest fears came to the surface. Now all she wants to do is fade into the dark and the only way to do that is to give up her dream.

Royce is out for vengeance. He won't be satisfied until he has one man in prison and the other man's blood on his hands. He'll do whatever it takes to see to it that the men who took everything important away from him pay for their actions.

When Royce meets Emily, he knows what he has to do. He has to dig beneath the surface and uncover Emily's deepest darkest secret. In her secret she holds the keys to Royce's ultimate revenge and payback.

My Thoughts:

Royce is the Sexy As Sin and Deliciously Dangerous bad boy.
Emily is the Sweet as Sugar up and coming country star.
He’s the only one who can protect her from her greatest fear.
She’s the only one who can tear down the walls around his heart.

My heart is a sucker at fate showing its finest. Royce and Emily is just that. It's a means of fate. I couldn't get enough!!!
A.L. Jackson has brought another emotional roller coaster to the table! My heart has been through the emotional wringer..... that counts as a successful read in my mind.

I love my heroes dark and broody with a chip on their shoulder.... Royce is all that... Add in a body covered in tattoos and you've got yourself a bad boy! I absolutely adored Royce and his protective alpha vibes. He's lost loved ones in the past and he's not about to lose another. This man is FIRE!! He's a ticking time bomb just waiting to go off. He was everything I love about A.L. Jackson's heroes.

Emily is your typical country girl. She's the girl next door who wants to fall in love and start a family. She's sweet with a feisty fighting side. This girl has also been through hell and back. She wears her fear as armor and that armor is her greatest enemy and the thing that's been holding her back from what she wants the most. Her dreams of being a big star.

My heart flew through the pages of this novel. I was invested in Royce and Emily. I loved the push and pull, the endless array of emotions. The chemistry was charged up and beyond. I couldn't get enough of the relationship vibes.

There were a few reasons why I dropped a star in my rating. There were a few moments in the novel that had me wanting a bit more detail. I felt the angst was there but in some situations the angsty details slightly covered up the moment at hand. Also, I needed a little more from the ending, and to avoid spoilers I'm just going to leave it at that. But aside from those opinions, I loved Royce and Emily! These two brought the spark, the lust, and the love to this story. My heart and soul bleeds for them.

Overall, Catch Me When I Fall is the reason why my heart searches for all the rock star/country artist/musician books on the market. I honestly can't wait to see them come up as I continue this series. I'm excited to see where A.L. Jackson takes the characters of Carolina George next.

Emily Ramsey is caught up in the pressure of celebrity, haunted by events that cause her daily fear and anxiety, especially as she is being encouraged to sign with a music label. She is hesitant to continue with music, after what happened to her, but has a lot of people depending on her who she doesn’t want to let down.

Royce Reilly has been tasked by his stepfather to convince Carolina George to sign to their label. He has even more on the line than signing the band though, and when Emily connects the dots, she may not want to sign with him after all.

From the first night they meet, there is a connection between these two. Emily doesn’t usually pick up strangers in bars, but the safety she feels with Royce has her dropping walls that she has held up to protect herself. The passion from that night is halted when Royce’s reasons for being in Nashville come to light. Now Emily has to decide what to trust and what is show business.

There were parts of this story, most of it really, that I absolutely loved. Because I have read most of AL Jackson’s work, I already knew I loved Carolina George and have been waiting to get deeper into the band’s lives after meeting Leif. Emily is as sweet as they come, so I was excited to find out her story. But there was a lot of drama building up to the final resolution that caused added stress for the characters that could have easily been remedied with a little communication. I realized Royce’s plan needed secrecy, but with the connection that formed between them so quickly, it kind of hurt that he didn’t trust her to let her into the plan.

Overall, this was an entertaining read that would have been quick had I been able to read it over a weekend rather than during a work week. Though there is a lot of angst, the characters are solid and the chemistry is through the roof. I am still a huge Carolina George fan, and can’t wait to see if my predictions about Richard’s girl are correct. There will be fall out because of some events at the end of this book, and I can’t wait to see how the band rallies from this conclusion.

“I touch you, and you won’t ever forget it. I’ll wreck you, beautiful.”

“I was going to regret this. But sometimes one moment was more important than a thousand others. Unforgettable. Impossible.”

“A crazed frenzy was taking me over. I was losing it, I was sure, lost to the waves of dark, perilous waters that rose higher and higher. I’d been treading them for so long. I knew it was only a matter of time before they finally took me under and I drowned.”

“You make me feel like I can spread my wings. Fly even when I’m fallin’. Like I can tell you anything.”

Catch Me When I Fall is the second book in the Falling Stars series and follows the story of Royce and Emily. From the moment we meet up with Royce and Emily, we just know that their story is going to be something special. You can feel the chemistry just ooze off these two characters and you will be left dying to see how their story will play out….

Royce and Emily captured me from the very first page. I was instantly drawn to them and was dying to see where their story would go. Emily’s band is her entire world, but recently, Emily has lost her groove. She’s withdrawn and can’t write. She’s trying her best to move past the issues that plague her, but she’s quickly finding that moving on is easier said than done. A night with a mysterious stranger might just be what the doctor ordered. Only, Emily will quickly find that the mysterious stranger is none other than record executive Royce, who has been trying to sign Emily’s band. They didn’t know who the other was at the time, but Royce and Emily are about to get their worlds turned upside down…

Catch Me When I Fall was a fantastic read from beginning to end. Royce and Emily’s story intrigued me and kept me glued to the pages. A romance between Royce and Emily was a recipe for disaster, but neither one of them were able to fight the pull. I loved how good Royce was to Emily. He was fiercely protective of her and would walk through fire for her. Yes, Royce and Emily both had some baggage and were broken in their own ways, but that just added to their connection. They were more similar than they thought and they had the kind of connection that was written in the stars and worth fighting for.

Catch Me When I Fall is a wonderful second chance romance. I loved the characters and their story. I fell even harder for the secondary characters and am looking forward for their stories to be told. Catch Me When I Fall had the perfect balance of steam, romance, drama and suspense. I couldn’t help but devour Emily and Royce’s story and I have to say, I loved every single second of it….

***** 5 falling stars *****

“You can't catch a falling star without getting burned.”

CATCH ME WHEN I FALL is the story of two beautifully broken and wonderfully written characters that when come together, create the most epic love story!

It revolves around Emily and Royce.

Emily is the lead singer of her country rock band 'Carolina George'. She is brave, caring, loving and lovable. Her band is about to get their big break. However her life is in shambles.
As she's trying to get her life back together, she comes face to face with the sexy as sin, Royce. She's not quite sure of what to think of him but she cannot deny the fact that she's instantly attracted to him.
They have this instant connection and insane sexual chemistry.

“You didn't become part of the plan. You became part of the reason.”

Royce was just...EVERYTHING. He is the gorgeous, Swoon-worthy hero with a damaged past.

Their story is filled with drama and angst. When I say angst, it means OH MY GOD THE ANGST in this book!!!

If you are looking for a gripping and raw romance book filled with emotions, drama, angst, jaw dropping moments and a sexy rockstar ;) look no further! ❤

I'm really excited for the next books in the series where hopefully the other band members find their happily ever after.

My very first A.L. Jackson book and I died a little inside it was that good!
Good heavens what rock have I been living under that this was my first book???
Doesn’t matter, because It will not be my last - I’m absolutely hooked.
The mark of a truly fantastic and gifted writer is when they take you out of your comfort zone and make you glad that they did. I am not a fan of rockstar romances and I tend to avoid angst filled reads (because books are my escape from reality) but this book, is both those things, and made me change my tune - thank you A.L. Jackson for giving me that. Royce and Emily’s journey towards one another is turbulent and emotional and you will fall hard and fast for both of these beautifully damaged souls. TBR Catch Me When I Fall and enjoy.
