Inheritance #3

The Promise of Tomorrow

Rate this book
Most girls dream of the future with stars in their eyes.
Their dreams are filled with endless possibilities:
Falling in love,
Finding happiness,
Having a family.
But hope for a better future can be a dangerous thing for Eden Myers,
Especially when her chances of making it to adulthood are diminishing by the second.
In her world, there are no heroes,
Yet the monsters are very, very real.
But broken little girls don’t stay little for long,
They take the words that cut them, the fists that hurt them and use them as fuel for the fire inside.
They endure,
They fight,
They overcome.
From the shadows and ashes of Eden,
Eve emerges,
Reclaiming the body that another once thought of as his.
She brings men to their knees,
Baring her skin whilst fiercely guarding her heart.
But when the life she has built for herself comes under threat,
Eve will have to rely on the protection of three men who each have their own scars to bare.
Choices will be made,
Trust will be tested,
And unimaginable consequences will change their lives forever.
If Eve wants a chance to see the tomorrow she has always dreamed of,
She must first defeat the monster from her past.

I didn't realize this was an RH, which isn't necessarily a deal-breaker for me. However, the combination of a promiscuous h in an RH doesn't work for me. A bunch of people into casual sex having a bunch of casual sex is not my idea of a romance. Nothing special about that. I finished, but not for me.

4.5 Pretty Girl Stars

This was my least favorite book in the series and I don't really know why... The story was sweet, intense, steamy and Eden was a strong characters but still something was off? I still enjoyed reading the last book in the Inheritance series, I just got bored somewhere around the end...

The is the best one in the series! I couldn't put it down. If you want a book with a lot of feels...this would be the one!! Though all the books in the series is a stand alone, I love how this one brought back loved characters from the second book! I can't say enough about this book. Anything Candice Wright writes is definitely going in my library!

*** No Spoilers ***
I haven't given out many 5 star reviews, but this book deserves it!
Candice has done an incredible job with this storyline. Everything that Eden/Eve has gone through and she is still able to find love, amazes me. Her 3 loves, Mason, Eli, and Noah support her in every way! The plot does have some twists and some bad things happen. I did find myself crying on and off as I read this book. Candice has a way to make you feel what the characters are feeling. Keep a box tissue handy when you read this.
••• I highly recommend this book! •••

Running From a Dangerous Past

I would probably give this book 4.5 ⭐️ if I could.

This contemporary reverse harem has some quite dark and gritty moments. It’s subject matter includes things that might trigger an adverse response in some people, as there is discussion of the effects of child abuse, torture and rape. If this subject matter would cause a negative emotional reaction, I would suggest that you give this book a miss.

This book follows Eden, a 21 year old stripper, who ran away from her police officer step-father when she was 15. She has been living quietly, using a false name and ID ever since, until Eli and Noah, who work for Malcolm the solicitor in the two previous books in this series, are sent to uncover her whereabouts. Taking the word of a retired police officer, it never occurs to them that revealing Eden’s whereabouts could put her in harms way.

After Eden is run off the road, Mason, the bouncer at the strip club where she worked, insists on keeping her safe. Eli and Noah feeling terrible for their mistake also want to help. This starts a long game of cat and mouse, with false leads and alibis creating confusion and torment.

I liked Eden, she was strong, despite her history. She loved stripping as it gave her sexual power from a place of safety, plus she just loved to pole dance. She was really brave in the way she grabbed onto her happiness with the guys, despite what other people may think.

All the characters were interesting with complex backstories and I also liked that the harem didn’t snap perfectly into place instantly. There were hiccups, which I really liked as they had to be worked through.

It was interesting seeing the characters from the previous books in the series all interacting and giving each other friendship and support. It also gave a little taste of what came after the HEA for those characters.

This book takes you on a bit of a roller coaster emotionally, but it’s worth the ride. It keeps you interested through a complex plot and intriguing characters. It’s well worth a read.

Brilliant!

Fantastic! A fabulous thriller of a book, which leaves you breathless with your heart in your mouth and tears streaming down your face. I adore the characters that Candice creates and the ones in this book are no exception. She also writes villains just as well. Definitely read this book!

Candice Wright has done it again and If I can add more the 5 stars I definitely would because this book managed to rip my heart out and put it back together again. I’m highly recommending this book. The amazing storyline, characters and all the emotions you feel wrapped up into one book. I cannot wait to see what Candice has in store for us next.

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
The promise of tomorrow is the third book in the ‘’inheritance’’ series. This story is short (200pgs) fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters loveable and the storyline entertaining. At the age of fifteen, Eden changed her name and ran from her evil stepfather. Six years later and found, Eden is in danger. Eli and Noah were hired to find Eden. What they didn’t expect was to be the ones to put her in danger. Mason has wanted Eden since he met her. Will Mason, Eli and Noah be able to keep Eden safe?
The chemistry between Eden, Eli, Mason and Noah is clear to see and I loved them together. I loved all three men’s separate bond with Eden. That being said, I loved how close Mason and Eden were.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.

Not Nearly as Good

This book just didn't click for me.
The other two Inheritance books were good reads, so I expected more of the same. Sadly, there were so many elements about this that just felt rushed and made it a meh book.

Meh not really getting into this one as much as I'd like to. I think the multi pov and short length is stopping me from building a deeper connection to the characters mainly the fmc. A really promising beginning which hasn't really gone anywhere. DNF 55%.

DNF at 28%. I understand that all writers repeat themselves, but this one was just too similar to the one I’ve just finished to be enjoyable. Plus, a reverse harem book h reading a reverse harem book... cringeworthy.

Would have been 5, but..

Up until the end, it would have been a 5 star review. Read past the end, through the epilogue and it is less disappointing. I just think that it could have been handled better.

🖤Why Choose
🖤Age Gap
🖤Forced Proximity
🖤Romantic Suspense

The Promise Of Tomorrow is the third book of the Inheritance series of interconnected standalones. This author just has a way to suck you into her stories and has you in all your feelings! I did shed a few tears on this one! Eden has been through so much in her 21 years of life and has been on the run from her abusive stepfather for the last six years. She has been feeling comfortable the last few years until private investigators, Noah and Eli, unknowingly put her in danger. Mason is the bouncer at the club she works at and has had feelings for her for a while and promises to keep her safe. I loved all three of these men but Mason was my favorite. I loved how in tuned he was with Eden and how strong their connection felt. Eden is one of the strongest FMCs I’ve read in a long time. No matter what life threw at her she stayed strong and kept moving forward. This story has angst, suspense, heartache, twists and turns, and spice. It is definitely one that will stick with me for quite some time!

This is the third in the Inheritance series and it is just as much - if not more of an emotional roller coaster. This author does it to me every time! She draws out so many strong feelings whether towards the characters or feeling things right along with the characters, you cannot read this without all the feels! This was a very enjoyable read. It can be read as a standalone, but if you read it in sequence with the other two, you get to enjoy little cameos by the other ladies. Eden’s story starts out with such heartbreak, but as the story continues, we get to watch her grow into a strong, kind woman who overcomes horrific circumstances. Along her way she learns that she does not have to do it alone, Noah, Mason and Eli are there for her to lift her up, support her in every way as she learns to love herself and gains the courage to love those around her. This is a beautiful story that starts with heartache and pain, but also of courage, love and self-worth.

Stunning!

Beautiful!

This book has all the feels!
Eden is a beautiful person and so strong and her men are amazing. The way they care for her and protect her, even from herself at times is wonderful.
I was completely sucked into the story and finished the book in a matter of hours. I was crying at points both with happy and sad tears and to me this is the sign of a really good book. If an aithor can make me feel along with the characters then I'm sold!
Although this is a series each book is a stand alone so you could read this without having read the others. Although why would you not read the others since they're all sooo good??  There are some references to previous characters but nothing that confuses the story.
Please take note of the trigger warnings before starting.
Highly recommended read!

This is the last book in Candice Wright’s Inheritance series, and I’m thinking she saved the best for last.

Eden has beat some insurmountable odds in her life, and just when she thinks she’s in the clear her past comes back to rear it’s ugly sadistic head. Only this time she doesn’t have to face it alone. With the help of three strong, courageous men, she finds the strength within herself to fight back and take control of her life.

This is a reverse harem story, but it is pretty tame and is really enjoyable. There is everything good in here, this also was the last book in Candice’s library I had to read. I simply love her books, yes they are steamy and yes the are full of 🍆, but they also have emotions and a plot! I never miss a chance to read a Candice Wright story and you shouldn’t either.

Wow!! Candice Wright is an expert at drawing the reader in and twisting their feelings into a mish-mash of crazy!! There are so many highs and lows to these characters’ journey together and all of it worthwhile. Eden lives a heartbreaking story from page one, but her personality makes her a warrior no matter the situation. Mason is my favorite though...he will be hers forever despite any horrible, gut-wrenching ending plot twists that are cruelly part of the story!! 😉 And Noah and Eli...wow troublesome and hard-headed from the start, these two cause achingly touching and horrifying trouble from the moment they step on the page, but I love ‘em. ☺️ This was the perfect addition and conclusion to the Inheritance Series.

Unpredictable, thrilling, emotional, and super addictive! This book will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish! I love the quirk in the development of relationships at the start. Nothing in this story went how I expected & I loved that!
Eden is so broken and so strong! Her character is so badass! I love that her flaws are shown though and she isn’t made out to be an indestructible character. The purpose of all the men’s relationships was clear from the start, all bringing a different part of the relationship and understanding Eden in different ways.
The plot twists will have you biting your nails & you’ll never expect where it goes! Right to the very end!
And that ending! Oh my heart!!!
Definitely recommend!

A book that makes you thank for the cards you were felt and gives you the understand of just how strong A woman is despite how hard and horrible her life has been.

This is a book about a girl that has experienced more in a day than one should experience in a lifetime. Despite all of the struggles and obstacles this brave girl faces, she still goes everyday with a smile on her face. With the love of three men on her side, she can accomplish anything. Even when her nightmares come back to haunt her, her men make her stronger and cause her to face her fears. While this story may be sad and tells the truth of just how evil some people can be, it also tells the story of a wonderful young woman who is stronger than any of us could ever be.

Heart wrenching, beautiful!

Oh my gosh. Let me start by warning you that you most definitely need tissues for this book especially by the end! I don't want to give too much away but oh my god I bawled like a baby reading the ending! This was an amazing boom and for everything that Eden has been through, she is so incredbly strong! The love and adoration from the guys was so beautiful and amazing. There was a lot of character growth from everyone and I juped for joy and also wanted to throw stuff at Eli. Definitely grab this book! There are some tough subjects but it is handled with care and there is a promise of tomorrow for sure!

Candice has done it yet again! This book grabbed my attention from page one and kept it the entire time. The FMC is so incredible. With everything that she had been through, she still held her head up high. Her strength and ability to love were incredible after everything. The ending to this book was magnificent! I literally was crying with happy tears! This book was just so incredible, I would highly recommend it!

Candice Wright has this talent to make people feel a big range of emotions in all her books and that has proven true yet again. This book is a masterpiece. It’ll make you laugh, it’ll make you cry, it’ll make you rage and it’ll make you smile. I have no idea what to do with all the feels that this book has made me feel, and all I can say is that this book is a roller coaster ride with your emotions that you’ll gladly take time and time again because us just that good. Eden is such a strong, complicated, well thought out, loving character and I loved to see her grow. I loved to see how brave she was and how strong she was. She’s an inspiration to everyone. I loved to see her relationship with the guys build and I was pleasantly surprised with some of the twists and turns in this book. This is the perfect ending to a perfect series.

Oh my God Candice did it again

I have read all three of these stories and each one is so unique and heart wrenching and beautiful. I have a hard time describing what these books do to me but if I try I'd say they tear me down and rip me appart only to be put back together again stronger. After each book I got the most glorious book hangover and just wow I feel blessed just to be able to read them.

Excellent story

Having literally just finished reading I am writing this review all choked up.

Everything by Candice is an auto read for me and this one does not disappoint. I highly suggest starting with book one as this is the third in the series, but I believe you can read them independently if needed.

Prepare for some tears and keep a tissue nearby. You wont regret it.

I was not expecting this book to tie all three of the inheritance series characters together. I really enjoyed this small tie in. I enjoyed the character and initial slower progression of the relationship building, but also loved that when it was steamy, it really was steamy. I do feel that there should have been a trigger warning or so indication of how darkba certain scene was going to be, that part was hard for me. In the end though, a VERY happy finish to this series.

This is the third book in the Inheritance series, you don’t need to read the first and second book however it is recommended because this book does tie into the other two. I still favor the second book but this one caught me by surprise! As always I enjoy the build up between the characters and there were moments where I did end up tearing up a bit. A good read overall, I inhaled this book in less than a day!
