Take one young unicorn with a hopeless crush, add in a broken dragon, then toss a crazed “horn chaser” into the mix and watch out! Things are about to get dangerously h*rny.
After getting shot down by his crush, Bo Luke runs off into the night… only to find himself injured and at the mercy of a familiar stranger.
When Mama Vee says jump, you don’t ask anything other than “how high?” With all the best trackers away from the compound, Mitch has no choice but to help find the hot, young unicorn omega he’d ruthlessly pushed away. When he goes searching for Bo Luke, the last thing he expects to find is the other half of his heartsong.
Between a dangerous woman who won’t take no for an answer, an unexpected heat, and enough wacky clan members to send a sane man running… It might just take a miracle—and a little bit of fate—to bring these two men the happiness they crave.
Dangerously H*rny is one a novella-length story from the Redneck Unicorns series. These stories are set several years after the events of the Waking the Dragons series, and while they can be enjoyed as stand-alones, they’re even better as sequels.
I'm a total fan of M/PREG Paranormal Romances, first and foremost as a reader. I'm excited to share my own omegaverse(s) with you. What's not to love about adorable Omegas and the Alpha men who love them? If I'm not writing about men sporting baby bumps, I'm definitely reading about them!
I'm a native of Las Vegas, NV, so I'm pre-wired to love everything weird ~ although I don't find any kind of love to be weird. I'm a cis woman who's been happily married to the same lovable lug for 18 years. We have a 16yr old son, well, at least I think we do? Either that, or we have a ghost that eats all our food and uses up all wifi playing xbox while screaming into a headset.
As a new author, it's been amazing to find the amount of support that I've been given from readers and my fellow authors. Feel free to message me, I love to chat with fellow readers. Am I a reader? Heck yeah! In fact, I'm never certain that I can completely trust an author who isn't a fellow bibliophile.
I will try to update here when I'm doing promotional parties & chats. I usually do those on Facebook. If you haven't already signed up for my newsletter, you should totally do it! I only send out NL's to announce new releases or important announcements. I also like to note in my NL what I'm currently reading along with a cover shot and the link for anyone who is interested.
Another crazy unicorn/dragon mating with a funny storyline. 😁 I definitely loved the first book more than this one but I enjoyed this a lot too. Wasn’t that crazy about details on stalker craziness because “gross” 🤮 but that was necessary for the story to work. And I love the crazy unicorn clan and Mama Vee. I hope to get more stories in this universe. 😊
I love the world that Susi Hawke and Piper Scott have set up here, and getting to see some of the unicorns get their happy endings too. Bo Luke was so cute and so brave when he told Mitch how he felt. It must've really taken a lot to do that. Mitch took a minute, but he got on board.
This series is just fun. It’s short and a fast read but I enjoy the characters, the setting, and the dialogue. This one had a tough scene with an attempted rape, and it made it a challenge to read, but the rest of the story was good. I hope there is another book in the series.
To my ratings: A 3,5* is clicked with a 4* but in review marked as 3,5*:
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile’ or ‘Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the the kids’ series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or ‘Liberty’ from Seth King), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader (2-3 times a year), it's like a B
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (I wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok) It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
This is a short novella that follows the Redneck Unicorns from the "Waking the Dragons" series by the same authors. I've not read that series and found this book could be standalone without reading those first.
Here we have Mitch, a "broken" alpha, and Bo Luke, a young omega with eyes set on Mitch!
What I liked about this story was the hilarious redneck lingo and mannerisms. It really made the book funny. What was NOT funny was the on page sexual assault which was intense and I thought it might have been too much for what I expected to be a light/funny book.
Overall, this had moments where it was better than expected and it was a complete story-which I appreciate.

The stories of the dragons and unicorns started in the final book in Awakening the Dragons with Nate and Brick and then in the first two books of this spin off are cute, sexy and fun. I am not going to read past this book because I find this redneck culture of the unicorns just irritating. I hate reading dialect and there is too much of it. Other than this one complaint of a personal issue of mine, it is a sweet romance with Susi's trademark HEA.
*WARNING* contains explicit adult m/m content The crazy redneck unicorns are back again. They are just as crazy an fun-loving as book one. I bet the first dragon didn't know what he was getting his people into. I like this one just as much as the first one. There is no love at first site (read carefully, they've known each other for years). The way of becoming mates is new and original. The story is short an entertaining. The characters and make me laugh with some of their antics.
I did adored this series, how I wished he could have continued but atlas it did not.
I loved Bo Luke he was adorable, it was a scary thought what could have happened but glad it worked in a different direction. He was funny, and easy to move away from serious things.
Mitch, wasn’t much of a grumpy dragon but he was a fun one to get to know. Glad he got his dragon forward.
Wow!!! What really made this story for me was how we got Mitch’s backstory and Bo Luke’s emotional journey mixed in with all the drama and danger. But we still got some passion and all the feels too. Hopefully there will be more stories because I really want BeePee’s.
Yet another exciting visit with Mamma Vee and Pappy. Mitch’s journey to recovering his lost dragon was written so sweetly. Can’t wait for more Redneck unicorn fun.
Bo Luke is an adorable, red neck unicorn with a serious crush on Mitch, who cannot connect with his dragon. When Bo Luke is abducted and almost raped, Mitch must decide quickly what he really wants. A cute read with some very serious topics. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
This was such a fun read. It had such cute southern dialogue along with unicorns and dragons. There was danger that had a very satisfying conclusion, and a wedding that was full of excitement. The writing was excellent and the plot was well done. I loved it. =)
This is an enjoyable read with the most amazing redneck weeding. You will enjoy reading how one alpha who thinks he broken and the omega who shows him he’s not happy reading.
Nothing to dislike in Book Two. The story is sweet and funny and romantic. Love abounds between the main characters and the dragons and unicorns. You'll love the men and Mama in this.
Sweet, but not quite as good as the other book in the series. As usually the quality of the writing was superb, however there was less relationship building and the ‘redneck’ was just a little too over the top.
I really wish the authors had developed their world better for both their Waking the Dragons series and this spin-off series, Redneck Unicorns. However, the two novellas in this series are what I expected: short and amusing but with some peril.
I was very intrigued by BeePee and would have loved to read his story. But this one's probably the last we would ever read of this universe because one of the authors is no longer with us. But her words and stories will forever be.
So light it’s almost a spoof, a M/M shifter tale that doesn’t hit the mark for me. This new unicorns series feels cheesy compared to the slightly better dragon series.
These books are completely wack a doodle. You cannot read it expecting a serious story. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t true to life things that happen. They are quick and crazy reads.
