Just a heads up, any books that come from Llewellyn's line of "Complete Book of ___" is going to be epic and packed full of so much info it will make your head spin. I went into this book only knowing that Reiki is a form of healing. Now I feel like not only do I have a grasp on what Reiki is but I would even try it myself. Just wonderful information!
I can't wait for this book to be published because finding things in the paperback version will just be so much easier to me!

March 11, 2020What is energy? Can we define it simplistically? Of course, everything we see, feel, touch and experience is compiled of energy. I have learned this over my many years of growth both spiritually and physically.
I have been a Reiki Master for 22+ years and even I can learn something new. This book touches one at the core of their essence if they allow it too. I found myself immersing in the energy of the words, the feelings of the images and the power of completeness that Reiki IS.
Reiki energy and healing are ancient. This energy goes back before we recorded time and within the context of this book you will find the essence and essentialism of the energy “to heal”. Reiki energy heals more than just the physical form, it also flows into the energetic or morphogenic field, the essential bodies comprising the Causal Body, the Quantum Field and beyond.
The symbols too are more ancient than we can imagine as they were given on the mountaintop at a time when the Earth was in desperate need of their service. That a monk is chosen is not strange or odd for in times past, healing was done in the Temples by the Priests and Priestesses.
Within the pages of this book you will find a healing. We can heal through the power in the author’s words because as she wrote she transferred Reiki energy within them. She may not be aware of this but when we attune to the Reiki energy, it naturally flows through us always and in all ways.
Placing our hands on or above a person helps to direct the flow of energy yet this energy is alive and once shown direction, performs its service. With the help of the Body Elemental, the Higher Self and the person receiving the energy’s Guides, healing activates. The amount of healing actually received is dependent on receptivity, our state of Being, our awareness and our willingness to let go of whatever it is we are asking help with.
A healing takes place whether we see its results, feel it happen or doubt it can do or is doing what we ask. Healing is not dependent on our state of mind, rather it is our state of being that determines the depth and strength of a healing.
Reiki also works on anything. Its service is total and absolute meaning it works on physical ailments, emotional issues, trauma, DNA, ancestral lineages and what many term, karma. Thus Reiki is not limited to healing just illnesses, trauma, meridians and broken bones.
This book has much contained within the confines of its pages. The Master Teacher and the uninitiated alike will find sustenance within both the Reiki energy and this book to sustain them for lifetimes, if they are open to receive.

Thank you to Llewellyn and NetGalley for the opportunity to review this book. I recently received a Reiki 1 certificate and attunement. I was looking for a reference to augment my training. This book offers many, many options for how to incorporate Reiki in your daily life. There are several practices that I will put to use.. The only drawback was the lack of art/illustrations in the review copy so I did not feel that I had the complete picture of all this book had to offer. Looking forward to the finished product.

La autora no deja tema sin explicar y abarca todas las dudas que pueden haber con respecto al reiki, la práctica personal, profesional, la docencia e incluso cómo hacer de este una fuente de ingresos. Incluye tantas técnicas que hay una para cada tipo de practicante y terapeuta, algunas que conocía y otras que no, junto con datos de interés que sirven a la hora de dar una experiencia más positiva tanto para el terapeuta como al paciente. No hay nada que sobre en este libro que hace honor a su título.

It includes so many techniques that there's one for each type of practitioner and therapist, some that I knew and others that I didn't, along with data of interest that serve when giving a more positive experience for both the therapist and the patient. There is nothing left over in this book that lives up to its title.

Llewellyn's Complete Book of Reiki by Melissa Tipton immediately caught my eye when the publisher offered and advanced copy in exchange for an honest review. As a Reiki Master, I am often asked by others for resources that one could use to familiarize themselves with Reiki. When I look at my library, I often think "too advanced" or "too basic" etc. and I'm reluctant to suggest more than 1 or 2 of the books on my shelf. This comprehensive version, however, will gladly be shared with others that are interested in learning about Reiki or expanding upon their practice. Filled with a plethora of information and exercises, this book has it all! With the current state of affairs in the world, there seems to be no better time than now to utilize a collective, world wide healing energy. The timing of publication could not have been any better and I thank the author and publisher for providing the world with such a great resource for healing. Many thanks to Llewellyn Publication and Netgally for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an honest review.

Well first off I have worked with Reiki and Crystal Healing for ages so when this book came up I of course had to jump on it and check it out. The author did a fabulous job with this complete book. It gives you everything you need to start out as well as go beyond beginner status. I love how much they toss into these compete series!! Even when you think they have missed something it pops up in the next chapter and there's still even more to read.

Learning about Reiki was high on my to do list for this year. Naturally I gravitated you this book. I love the Llewellyns Complete book series and this book was amazing in its depth and breadth in regards to Reiki. These books provide so much information that in my opinion they don’t translate as well on ebook so I will definitely be buying this in physical format to add to my collection. This book took my knowledge of Reiki and just expanded it a hundred fold. So well written and researched.

This is quite a wonderful body of work on the subject. I like the author's format, way of teaching the reader in a sensible easy to understand format and how it covers every aspect in depth. Very well done and one I highly recommend. This is a great addition to your library for anyone that wants to learn about Reiki.

A wonderfully comprehensive book with lots of useful exercises, with well explained concepts. I think it would be great for beginners as well as those with existing knowledge and experience with reiki. Highly recommended.

Llewellyn has been the go to for all things New Age for many years. The first Llewellyn book I read was over 25 years ago, and I still seek them out above any other today.
This definitive guide to Reiki healing is no different. It offers researched information in a format easily understood by the most novice to the advanced practitioner.
