What do you do when your sister introduces you to her new boyfriend and he turns out to be the same guy who hit on you the day before?
What do you do when your father tells you he’s leaving your mom for another woman after twenty plus years of marriage?
These are things I shouldn’t be dealing with during finals week, but here we are.
I just want to pass my classes. That’s all. Then they come into my life and change everything. How is it possible to meet three guys like this in the span of three days?
Maybe things aren’t as simple as I once thought? What if soulmates do exist? And what if… I’m not human?
I’m in over my head.

Concealed is book 1 in The Tiger Shifter Chronicles. This is an RH, why choose series.

I'm Scarlett Haven. I write YA and NA books and I write a lot. My books are a fun mixture of romance, mystery, and now some paranormal too!

Besides writing, I also love to read anything I can get my hands on and I'm always drawn to the villain of the story. I am 29 years old and am married to the love of my life.

Well. What's there to say about this book, other than that it's basically your average shifter novel but with tigers?

It's chock full of clichés, such as the FMC being not-like-other-girls, heavy doses of thinly-veiled distaste for other women, and two-dimensional characters that have little to no personality. All of the guys also blended together for me, so that was fun (note the sarcasm).

On top of that, I didn't like the FMC at all. She had no redeeming qualities, and the way she viewed her sister just... irked me. Like yes, we get it—your sister has sex with lots of men and you think that you're better (not that she actually SAYS that, but the implication is there) because you don't. And YES, we get it—you're different from other girls. You don't wear dresses and somehow you think that you're the only girl ever that doesn't wear dresses. Even though your sister just piles on the makeup (as every woman other than you does, of course) you prefer to keep it simple. You are a quirky girl, and every girl other than you is superficial and a girly-girl.

I just hate characters like this, honestly, and that's definitely adding to my ire towards this book.

So basically, if you're looking for a quick read without depth—and if you don't mind a not-like-other-girls FMC—this is the book for you!

I love the angst, which is why I keep coming back to this, but the writing is so fucking cringey.

Note to self: Kate, dear...please stop reading this. It doesn't get better if you wait a year and come back to it. In fact, it seems to get worse on every re-read. Just drop it in the garbage and run away.

Fans of Scarlett know she is known for her slow burn YA, well here is a more mature series that is in her same writing style. I enjoy her fresh/youthful female leads. And if you do too, then you will like her newest addition Posey. She is a sweetheart, and is very adamant about cheating. Much like myself she detests it. Course it does not help her dad had just left her mom saying he found someone else. And she got hit on at the book store, by what she finds out the next day is her older sisters boyfriend. Her dislike is instant for Declan, but after meeting his younger brother Dash and his best friend Sinclair, Posey falls head over heals for the two. What is even more strange is the feeling she gets when she touches them, like they are hers. And when she accidently touches Declan, she gets the same feeling. There is so much she does not understand, there is a world she knows nothing about. But she is about to learn.

So, fans of Scarlett Haven will very much enjoy Concealed. She has her same writing style, but with some more heat. The characters are well written, the flow of the story is fast, and we get more of a meatier/longer story than we normally get I feel like. Posey is just 19, and is set in her ways. Loved how she reacted to everything coming her way. The guys, wow, are hot!! Declan was touch and go at first but he wormed his way in. Dash and Sinclair as just sweethearts who will have you falling for them just as I did.

There is a lot to the story, like who is Posey really? What is up with the Panthers? And too bad she can't trade in her sister!! Concealed is a definite read for the Scarlett Haven Fan!! And if you're not a fan, give it a try. You may just become one!!

Fantastic start to a new series from Scarlett haven. The characters are on the older age scale and adds a new dimension to Scarlett’s already fabulous writing style!! The story grabs you from the first page and keeps you there until the very last word. Brilliant depth to both characters and storyline. Really enjoyed reading it and kicked the series off with a bang

Posey gets hit on by a boy, and the next day, he is introduced as her sisters boyfriend. As angry as she is, Declan's brother, Dash and his best friend, Sinclair, prove to be a nice distraction. Well, until she starts learning her family's secrets, and who she really is. Oh, and she needs to get over her resentment towards Declan, too.

This book covers so much more than Scarlett's series usually start with. That being said, there is so much meat left to the story. What is going on with the panthers? And what gives with Aspen? I cannot wait to find out.

Not worth it

So I want to like these. There’s not enough ya/na out there so I wanted these to be good soooo bad. I’ve read a series by this author previously and was less than impressed with her writing style. Hoping it was maybe just an old series, I picked up her newest one looking for some growth. There hasn’t been any. This book read exactly like shifter academy, like an outline. Each ‘chapter’ is a plot point on an outline with absolutely no transition. The basic ideas for these stories are okay but I do feel the author needs to get some better writing critique because it could be so much better than the choppy, fast, not detailed short novella we have.

My own fault. I took in the cover and the fact that I felt like reading something on tiger shifters and well... it was not for me. Classical plot, no real surprises. Didn't like the sister... It felt like I was reading a shopping list, no depth at all.
Still, if you like this genre and want a very easy read... go for it, I guess.

Ok

Interesting. So I read some of the reviews before I decided to give this book a chance, and as much as I liked it, I disliked it as well. One reader wrote that it was rushed, and I couldn't agree more, but the weird part is that it seemed to drag on in some areas, and then go full blown moving way to fast, There was absolutely no balance. Having one mate date your sister was a hard one for even me to get over, I have a sister who is one year younger then me and the thought of kissing a guy she did has me cringing and wanting to throw up! It's just really gross. And honestly I can understand her sister anger at the end, I mean come on! that's just wrong on so many levels! Another issue I have is when a heroine says I'm nothing special, I'm just a regular girl, that line in books is getting really old and I wished authors would stop with it already.

This book had me in stitches, I laughed throughout the story. It was entertaining, I loved how Poesy doesn't automatically forgive Declan. I also love that each Scarlett Haven's academy's are all set in the same world with vague mentioning of characters in previous academy books. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

To fast paced for me

I bought this book because of the intro and because I like the previous books of Scarlett but this book was to fast paced for me. I couldn’t get a really good connection with the characters and the story because of that and that is why I have to give this book only 3 stars.

I made myself finish this book as I believed the storyline behind it was interesting. However, I'm not sure I will read the rest. I really don't like books with "soulmates" that make the characters have no thoughts that belong to them. Quite often the main character was thinking one thing and doing the opposite of what she was thinking, which in turn made me really dislike her.

Oh yes what’s next.

I do love this book and can’t wait to see what happens next. Can anything be better than having three guys love and protect you. Well being a shifter and special one is pretty great too. You will get so into this book and will be like me and waiting anxiously for the second book.

Give me more!

This book was so easy to read. I found myself immediately part of posey’s life. This paranormal RH has all the right elements. I feel there is a great balance between romance and suspense. I’m ready to continue the journey into the next book!

Good story.

I enjoyed this more mature story from the author. It's a fast paced, instalove, shifter romance with some heat. This story introduces us to the characters and the world. The plot is starting to build at the end so the next book should be action packed.

DNF. If I didn’t finish a book it automatically gets 1 star. Might seem harsh but that’s just my opinion. Other people may like the story an that is fine that’s their opinion.
