Alexander has set himself a monumental task..... His dragons are dying, and only when he fulfils the prophecy of finding his mate will the curse end.
So he goes in search of his mate..... but it’s been a while since Alexander was in human form and interacting with them is proving difficult.
And when he gets lured outside by a group of street thugs (who in fact are wolves) and gets badly beaten, Alexander thinks his search will end sooner rather than later, with his death. But help comes in the form of a plucky human woman. And between the two of them, they escape and hide at Holly’s home.
(His true form is a dragon, he just changes into a human only when necessary) he’s also very direct and a little blunt !!!
Holly is a relationship coach, she owns a dating agency and is so wrapped up in finding her clients love, that she doesn’t have time for it herself, in fact she’s pretty happy being single, she finds that most men don’t measure up.
But helping a fellow human (even if he is hot) seems the right thing to do. So she offers him a place to stay until he is healed.
They are getting along pretty well, things take a different turn after a drunken kiss from Holly takes their friendship to a different level.
Then the attack from the gang that previously attacked Alexander changes it all again. Holly sees Alexander in a whole different way. A freaking dragon!!!! She thinks she’s having a breakdown there are NO such things as dragons, and the gang that beat up Alexander and then broke into Holly’s home they are a bunch of wolves that run New York ...... it’s all just too much to take in.
But once Holly has calmed down, thought it through and rationalised it in her own mind, she’s ready to hear Alexander out ....
Alexander needs a mate, Holly is an expert in that field, so it should be easy right ??? Well, considering Alexander doesn’t know who or where she is, it’s gotten Holly’s work cut out a little.
So will Alexander find his mate ?? Your going to have to read to find out....
It was a fun afternoon read.
Not the worse dragon book I’ve read, but not the best either.
Fell a little flat in places. Characters felt a little wooden in parts.

Semi-steamy shifter PNR
Contains subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some, including adult intimate scenes and violence (fighting, death)
First story in the Dragon Valley series. I enjoyed reading about Alexander and Lisa, but it may be a little hard for millenniums to grasp his POV (no knowledge of electronics, phones, TVs, etc.). It is a good way to escape reality for a few hours. I didn’t give it 5 stars because it does seem to drag a little in the end. Hopefully future additions to the series will be faster paced, as the universe becomes more developed.
Alexander is very thoughtful, unsure in some instances, but willing to learn and experience the human world. He is the King of his people, but they are dying. There is a prophecy that his soulmate will be the one to save his people and bring forth great change. Then he arrives in New York and almost immediately gets attacked by wolf shifters, a natural enemy of the dragons. They caught him in a small alleyway where he can’t shift, otherwise they would be no match.
Lisa comes upon a man being attacked and acts to help him. After he convinces her that no ambulance is needed, she takes him to her home to try and patch him up. Much to her surprise, he is a fast healer and the next morning, is feeling much better. After a couple of days to recuperate, Alexander is ready to begin his mission of finding his soulmate, but then Lisa comes home and kisses him ... then the next morning the wolf shifters find him again, so he jumps off the balcony with Lisa in his arms ....

Brilliant read loved it
Alexander a dragon is in New York looking for his soulmate and runs into a pack of wolves whose territory he is in they get him down a alley lying to him but then turn on him the alley is too narrow for him to transform but cannot fight them off in his human form.
Lisa is in the coffee shop and hears a fight happening she goes out and finds Alexander beaten and bruised where she takes him back to her place to rest and clean him up.
The wolves find Alexander at Lisa’s home and has to transform and get them out of there Lisa doesn’t take him turning into a dragon well but eventually calms down and agrees to help him in his task.
Lisa’s job is match making so she has all the knowledge she needs to help Alexander and after agreeing not to act upon their feelings for each other form a friendship but that doesn’t stop Lisa from falling in to each him. Alexander leaves a note for Lisa after they end up in bed again and thanks for her help and is sorry to take advantage of her again and doesn’t want to hurt her. Lisa packs up her belongings and goes home but gets a feeling something is wrong with Alexander so she goes back out to the house they where staying in to look out for him.
Alexander has been a fool he loves Lisa and wants to be with her he goes back to the house except the wolves are waiting for him the fight is hard and he won but at what cost to himself.

Alexander has left his mountain home to fulfill a prophecy that says he must find his human mate and she will be the savoir of the dragon race. Of course he has no idea where to look for her, or how he will know when he has found her, or even enough about the current world to keep himself out of trouble. When his presence is discovered by the wolf pack that claims NYC, he is unexpectedly rescued from certain death by a tiny human woman. She agrees to help him, and even his strangeness doesn't seem to faze her. Well, not until he has sex with her and then lets her catch him transforming into his dragon form to flee her apartment. Now she is freaked out, and the appearance of the wolves at her door is no help.
Lisa is trying to build her business as a dating coach and does not have time to actually have her own relationship. After several years in NYC she has learned to talk tough and mind her own business, but when she hears the sounds of a fight in an alley outside her favorite coffee shop she can't stop herself from checking it out. The sight of the man on the ground bleeding is too much for her to ignore and her pepper spray dispatches his captor in short order. But now what is she supposed to do with the six foot something of gorgeous wounded male that refuses to seek medical attention? Why take him home with her, of course. Wait, what?

“Mated to the Dragon” is a great beginning to a new series from a new author. I was totally engrossed in this story. It kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Lisa is young, beautiful, brilliant, single and managing her own dating agency. She is happy being single and matching others with their destined true love. Alexander is a very handsome dragon shifter who is looking for his fated human mate before it's too late. Alexander meets Lisa when she saves him after he's been beaten by a group of evil wolf-shifters. She offers to help him find his mate through her agency. That's when the action begins. This fast-paced entertaining book offers drama, intrigue, suspense, sexual tension, romance and a welcomed HEA. Take a chance on Kayla. You'll definitely enjoy this paranormal read.

A wounded dragon king in desperate need of his fated mate, a heart-hardened dating coach too gorgeous for her own good. A connection ultimately hard to resist. Lisa and Alexander’s story in Kayla Wolf’s Mated to the Dragon (Dragon Valley ,Book 1) is a deliciously great paranormal romance with really well crafted characters and a strong plot that’s well written. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.

How hard can it be to find your soulmate
In New York? When you don't know anyone? When you're a King? Oh and you're also a dragon? Seriously how hard could it be? And it gets even harder when you don't know when you'll find her because you don't know what the signs are? Oh and yes - you have werewolves trying to kill you!
Alexander really needs help. Luckily Lisa knows what she's doing when it comes to romance - she's a dating coach. So she must be able to help him find his soulmate, right?
I really enjoyed this book. Right from the start I was really sympathetic to Alexanders plight and I was rooting for them to find his soulmate.
A great start to a new series. Now I wonder how much mischief Helena would cause?

As king of the dragon shifters Alexander has to find his human mate to fulfill a prophecy or all of the dragons will die. So he has left his mountain home to try to find this mate. He has no idea how to go about finding this elusive female so he heads to a dating coach for help Only problem is wolf shifters try to destroy him on the way. Lisa is a dating coach which is really absurd when she wants nothing to do with the male of the species her friends call her the single one and that is how she likes it. Until a golden eyed hunk with long dark curls enters her life and bleeds all over her office what is this attraction that she feels to him. Overall this is a great fun read that I thoroughly enjoyed I highly recommend

I am now totally Team Dragon. Alexander, a cocky, arrogant dragon who is used to remaining in his human form has come to New York to find his human soulmate that was foretold in a prophesy. His first day there he is attacked and recused by Lisa who is in the matchmaking business. Even though Alexander started off quite arrogant, there was still a sweetness about him. He was totally out of place in the city and human environment but was a quick study and really enjoyed learning things. He and Lisa get to know each other and face danger together while she sets him up on dates. It is a bumpy road on the way to a HEA. I adored Alexander and Lisa. Although the last two chapters were fabulous, I hated for the story to end. I hope there will be future books - perhaps the next one with Helena?

First book in the series and it is off to a terrific start. Alexander is really funny and a bit full of himself. He has lost touch with his human side and has no clue about life in the human world. He wouldn't even be here if he didn't need to find his mate. Lisa comes to his rescue after he loses, badly, to wolf shifters. Lisa is a match-maker and agrees to help Alexander. I love the interaction between Alexander and Lisa from the beginning. Lisa learned about his world without a major breakdown and he learned what it is to be in touch with his human side. I loved this book and really look forward to the next in the series. I requested an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.

I received an ARC copy. We meet Alexander who is the King of the Dragons who goes to New York to find his soulmate after reading a prophecy about needing a human to save his people. He is out of his depth as he has not been around humans for decades so is completely out of touch. He meets with resistance from the wolves who have claimed New York as their territory, during an altercation he meets Lisa who helps him out. Lisa whose jobs is to find matches for people agrees to help Alexander find his soulmate after she finds out that he’s a dragon, they have some more problems with the wolves but everything works out in the end when they realise that Alexander found his soulmate when he least expected to.

Excellent and unique dragon shifter romance. Ms. Wolf made this story unique by having the new dragon king come to New York expecting to meet his soulmate. Alexander hadn’t been near humans for centuries so he had no idea how to interact. Unfortunately, the local wolf pack knew he was there and attacked him. Lisa came upon the attack and saved Alexander so their saga begins. The characters and story line were well developed. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review.

Absolutely loved this book. It's almost a "back to basics" book. The dragons are dying out. A prophecy said that Alexander needed to go out and find his human mate, so he did, in New York City and was totally lost. He hadn't been in human form for many years, he didn't know who he was looking for, what to do or where to start. Lisa helped him when he got hurt, then was helping him with his quest. Not sure if Ive read Kayla Wolf before, really good author. Now book 2 is calling

She runs a dating agency and concentrates on getting her clients dates. She doesn't much care about herself and even got a name for herself as a loner. But then along comes a very sexy hot male king dragon looking for his mate. It is imperative he finds her. Well the feelings between these two com bust more and more. And she is not as immune as she thinks to love. I got a review copy and voluntarily review it.

First, I loved it! Also, this is a different take on the shifter mating. Usually they know their mate immediately. In this case, it took a bit longer for these two to figure it out. The characters were great, the storyline incredible and the writing was brilliant. The suspense kept you turning pages and the building bond made you root for this couple. I can't wait for more. I am voluntarily leaving this review of an advanced copy I received.

Very beautifully done. There are so many differences in this book. The way Alexander was so tight, with words, more formal, his bearing, his thinking. The differences in the way they were together. Lisa & Alexander from different worlds. This story is so well put together and worked through out . It meshes together so well. There is excitement, danger and surprises. I liked it very much. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.

No dragon babies yet
Wasn't a bad story. I've read worse. All other shifter stories make a huge distinction of the mating compared to normal human intimacy. There really wasn't anything to clarify them mated to the point they were clueless too until they weren't. Overall quality of writing was good along with the proofreading. No cheating or cliffhanger and you get a happy ever after.

Wonderfully sweet....eventually!
Couldn't put this .....read it all in one go! A dragon looking for his soul mate comes to New York in search of her and it goes wrong from the beginning. Lisa helps him without knowing what she is letting herself in for and with wolves in their trail as they search for his mate....action, adventure, dating, romance and some good friends lead them on a merry dance to their HEA.

This is Alexander and Lisa's story . Lisa is trying to get her dating agency up and going but is not interested in finding her own man . Alexander is a king who's dragons are dying and needs to find his human mate . I just love the way these two reacted to each other and how hard Lisa tries to keep her distance . But what is a woman to do with such a hot dragon ?! Well written and recommended .

This is a great book. Alexander and Lisa didn’t get along at first. In fact she was so angry with him she threw something at him, actually she had reason to. This book has humor, drama, fighting, arguing, and lots of sizzling hot sexy love. It is very enjoyable, entertaining, and funny. I loved it.

Delightful book where the characters are far from perfect, kinda like the rest of us. The story flows well and everything ties together like it should. It's a great romance with a happily ever after ending, regardless of how hard the main characters put blocks in their own paths. I received an ARC copy of this book and voluntarily reviewed it.

And brave woman, dating counselor business owner, who saves him from wolf shifters and probably from himself as well. Story line is interesting however we seems to missing part of the story. Characters are attachable. It’s interesting.

This is the story of Lisa and Alexander. Who does not love to read about dragon shifters. Lots of drama and intrigue, not to mention the chemistry between Lisa and Alexander. I loved the little twist that Alexander did not know the signs to find his soulmate. Well developed characters and very well written. Fast paced and so easy to read. Recommended.

Alexander a dragon shifter needs to find his soulmate. A prophecy says she will help to save his people. He's been in dragon form only for years so doesn't know how to belnd into modern NYC. Lisa finds him and offers her help looking for this soulmate. Such a wonderful romance. I enjoyed everything about this book! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy.

I loved this - the interplay between Alexander and Lisa was good and the fact that he is not all alpha and brawny and does come a cropper worked for me as it made him more realistic in the situation! Lisa, however, came across as slightly indecisive and brash but likeable nonetheless! A good tale all in all and I look forward to reading the next in series!

I loved this book, it has a great storyline, is filled with action and intrigue. The interaction and chemistry between the characters is wonderful. I can't wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.

A very trilling beginning to what appears to be a very entertaining series. This is an emotionally engaging adventure filled with sexy witty banter and lots of heart pounding action not to mention smoking hot passion and exciting twists and turns. Great read!

This is a good, well written story. Alexander is the king of the dragons. He goes to NYC to look for his mate but he has not been around humans for a long time. This is for mature readers looking for some action with their romance.
