I’ve learned that it’s impossible to make your social fears completely go away, but there are things you can do to make it easier for yourself. Like 98% of the advice in the book is good, but sometimes this writer Patrick King says something or gives reasoning that make me question his character. Also, it’s OK to be an introvert.

It has some good points but the comes off as a pompous jerk. Seems like the further and further you get in the book the more he thinks of himself. I definitely walked away with a LITTLE bit of useable information. I wouldn't sell or another book by him and definitely wouldn't want to know him personally!

It was a very useful book for those who struggle with social situations. This book made a strong distinction between having low social confidence and mental health issues or being an introvert. I appreciated the exercises throughout the book and thought the practical applications were useful. The second to last chapter, a 30-day program to practice and build social skills and confidence, felt rushed and like it could have been instituted throughout the book with more depth. Like making a list of small talk questions and thinking up responses, a basic list to start would have been great. I liked the author's voice in the writing. There was understanding and compassion for the people this book was intending to help.

This book took me completely by surprise. The first few pages and I thought it had been written for me. The author `Patrick King` really knows what he's talking about when it comes to this subject. Within the first chapter it was as if my social confidence was being lifted up with each new insight. The book starts off talking about the ripple effect [known as the butterfly effect] where one small action leads to a much larger impact somewhere down the line, possibly even decades later.

Social confidence is, after reading this book i realize, more of a mind-set than an actual skill. If you think you can, you can, and think you can't, you won't. As the author points out, if you suffer from low self-confidence, it's because you unknowingly use negative self-talk against yourself by making assumptions and judgments.

One of my favourite chapters here is 4; comparing your achievements to everyone else. In this section we really learn the valuable lesson of how to value ourselves for our own traits and the worth we have when it comes to skills or ability. Since many people struggle with "comparing apples and bananas", Patrick reminds us that ‘Comparing is a learned habit that destroys your confidence because it tries to put all your value and worth into one tiny aspect.’

Chapter 5 is a lesson in building your skills to build your confidence; the better you become at something, the more your confidence will grow brick by brick. Throughout the rest of the book Patrick hits on great themes that build social confidence, help you to overcome insecurities, face up to social anxieties, learn the key to social self-acceptance, and know how to accept compliments from people.

You have to read this book especially if you want to:
• Be more assertive in social situations
• Create interesting stories to tell people when socializing
• Visualize the social situation you want to be in
• Get over the phobia of public speaking

When it comes to social confidence building, Patrick King is one of the best there is at delivering high-valued content and strategies that really work. He hits all the right spots and knows how to take your social confidence life from mediocre to extraordinary. This book ‘Fearless Social Confidence’ definitely lives up to its title by talking you from social fear to social fearlessness.

Nada nuevo

Mucha información. No me pude relacionar mucho con su experiencia y la forma en que trata de que uno aprenda a lidear con la ansiedad. No hay conección entre el autor y el lector.

It's a good book, very good but I got panicked so much that I felt pain in my chest while reading especially the total ownership part. It was abstract and distorted like too many spices in a dish unable to distinguish.

I think too much information is unhealthy as Patrick said. The more we read the less we implement.

A good book with typical and more esoteric ideas. The ideas of an a bold alter ego were good. The action ideas were excellent. Some typos. The author erroneously discounts biology and personality type.
The book Self-help for Fear and Anger covers most ideas in a diff way.

Comprehensive.

Comprehensive book and a good section on introverts, as well as an interesting look at social failures and self talk.

This was very insightful. I relate to a lot of things and it showed me how I can change that and become more socially confident.

There were some typos in the book that bothered me, and sometimes it got repetitive, but overall I enjoyed this.
