labeled romantic suspense but the suspense was lacking. Popular pianist Carolee Burns is divorced and estranged from 13 year old daughter. She gives up her career to be near daughter. She is determined to re-work the visitation arrangement agreed upon during divorce settlement. Husband is jealous of Carolee’s friend Max and is worried about his financial situation. Extremely boring. Very predictable. Author is NYT best seller.

not my kind of book. Not at all interesting although I only read 2 chapters.

Predictable. More of a romance novel than a mystery or suspense novel, so not my kind of book. I would give it a 2.5 if I could...

Carolee and Max

Both the characters were likeable, Carolee's "trauma" seemed a bit forced and over the top. Max was compasionate and easy to relate to. An Ok read, 2.5 stars.
