Fake engagement to a prince!

The heroine: Alice - she is an author of regency romance who lost her zeal for writing romance when her Fiancée cheated on her with her longtime best friend. Alice is on her honeymoon, which was paid for, so she decided to go alone in order to try to get some ideas for her upcoming book which she needs to complete a draft for within a few weeks. Her honeymoon is at the royal castle on Villroy island, a small sovereign nation near France.

The Hero: Lucas - he is a prince of Villroy island, he is the third son, so will never be king. He has a reputation of a playboy since he is very handsome and has been seen dating many models and celebrities. Though he is now back on the island because he wants to be taken seriously by his family, especially his brother Gabriel the King. He wants to take over running the family business so Gabriel can focus on being King and on his pregnant wife Anna.

The Story: Alice is quite depressed at the start of the book and can’t think of anything for her romance other than a twisted tale of a love triangle where the heroine takes down both men. When she begins spending time with Lucas, things start to turn around for her, especially after she befriends Queen Anna. They come up with a fake engagement between Alice and Lucas to get her creative juices flowing and to also help Lucas to improve his reputation and make him look better as an option to run the family business and meet with bankers to get funds for their ideas for a spa that will encourage tourism to their island.

I generally like the fake engagement trope, but this one was rather bland to me. There wasn’t really anything that brought me into this story. The characters weren’t very compelling, and the storylines were cute, but not exciting. I didn’t feel a lot of chemistry between Alice and Lucas, they seemed more like friends than two people attracted to each other. Also, Alice had some hang ups because she was a curvy girl and Lucas had dated models in the past. So, I hated that part. I like the royal storyline, but it just wasn’t enough to bring this book from a three star to a four star read. There were also a few scenes that made me cringe a bit, like one where Alice suggested they practice kissing so they would look comfortable doing it in front of others.

This audiobook was told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Troy Duran and Stephanie Wyles. I love just about anything Troy Duran narrates; he has a terrific voice and shows a lot of emotion through his voice. Stephanie Wyles is good, and also shows emotion but I am not too fond of her voice.

Eccoci di nuovo qui, nella splendida Villroy a raccontarvi la romantica storia del terzo erede al trono: il principe Lucas Rourke siete pronti?

Lucas, ha la fama del principe playboy e giramondo; lo definiscono lo scapolo reale più ambito al mondo, ma ora questo titolo gli sta stretto ed è deciso a dimostrare al Re Gabriel,suo fratello, la sua serietà nel lavoro per dare anche lui il suo contributo al Regno, ed entrare così a far parte dei nuovi affari di famiglia; ed è disposto a tutto per dimostrarlo.

Alice, scrittrice americana di successo di romance ambientati nel periodo Regency in Inghilterra, si trova a Villroy in luna di miele senza marito perché tradita da quest'ultimo con al sua migliore amica.
Così si rifugia sull'isola sperando di esorcizzare il doppio tradimento e di riuscire a scrivere il suo prossimo romance ritrovando l'ispirazione tra le mura di un verocastello reale.
Alice è una giovane donna insicura, in età adolescenziale è stata bullizzata a scuola perché grassottella e perché nerd; il doppio tradimento subito è stato il colpo di grazia. Nonostante ciò non ha perso la sua dolcezza e sensibilità. Ora si sente persa e sola, ma il suo cuore potrà di nuovo fidarsi?
Questo 4^ capitolo è diverso, più scoppiettante. È come leggere un libro nel libro, la storia di Lucas e Alice è romantica, dolce ma anche molto audace.

Il principe mascalzone Lucas scoprirà per la prima volta cosa significa sudare per conquistare la donna della sua vita e fare i conti con sentimenti che non aveva mai provato prima, ne pensava di poter provare; nel frattempo dimostrare al Re e alla Regina di essere all'altezza degli affari del Regno.
Alice invece dovrà lottare contro le sue paure radicate da tempo, estirparle, diventare una guerriera!
Fra colpi di scena esilaranti e finti fidanzamenti, ci sarà da divertirsi. Come sempre i principi Rourke non deludono mai !

Eh sì SOGNA IN GRANDE PRICIPESSA.

Quando Alice, scrittrice di romance storici alle soglie del suo matrimonio, scopre che il suo fidanzato la sta tradendo da ben tre mesi con la sua migliore amica Riley, sebbene a pezzi, capisce di dover cambiare aria e mettere quanti più chilometri possibili tra lei e i due fedifraghi. Proprio per questo decide di sfruttare la luna di miele sull’isola di Villroy, peraltro già pagata con i suoi soldi.

Purtroppo la sua vena creativa si è inaridita, infatti, già dal fidanzamento con Mason, non riusciva più a scrivere; e ora che le hanno ucciso l’amore e la scadenza per il suo prossimo libro è a ridosso, rischia di terminare prematuramente la sua carriera.

Cerca ispirazione tra le pareti del castello di Villroy, ma il suo animo a pezzi le suggerisce solo un tragico triangolo senza lieto fine, ovviamente quando espone al telefono l’idea alla sua editor, questa gliela boccia in toto. È proprio durante questa telefonata che Lucas, terzo genito della dinastia dei Rourke, nota questa fanciulla dall’aria disperata: una Marilyn Monroe con gli occhiali da nerd; a questo punto sente il bisogno di avvicinarla per farle tornare il sorriso.
Alice sa bene chi lui sia e conosce la sua fama da playboy da rotocalco, eppure tra loro nasce sin da subito una complicità e una confidenza come fossero amici di vecchia data. Il bel principe riesce nella sua missione e finalmente alla nostra scrittrice torna l’ispirazione.

Il libro, come i precedenti della serie, non delude le aspettative ma devo assolutamente tirare le orecchie a Gabriel, perché sebbene la neo-regina Anna abbia fatto miracoli sciogliendo un po’ quest’uomo rigido al protocollo, perciò che concerne i suoi fratelli e sorelle, è ancora molto miope e sin troppo intransigente. Se nel caso di Emma ha cercato di impedirle di frequentare il suo bel rocker, qui con Lucas viene veramente voglia di strozzarlo. Da quando Anna ha avuto l’idea sia di rilanciare l’economia dell’isola di Villroy coinvolgendo i pescatori nella creazione di una linea di cosmetici derivante dalle materie prime che il mare può fornire, sia di aprire una spa, il ragazzo si è fermato nella reggia per dare il suo aiuto, perché tiene molto all’isola e al regno. Cerca invano di farsi ascoltare per quanto concerne investimenti e prestiti, vorrebbe essere riconosciuto ufficialmente come amministratore delegato, ma il Re continua a vedere in lui solo un ragazzo incostante e non vuole dargli incarichi ufficiali.
La regina vedendo il nascente affiatamento tra Lucas e Alice suggerisce al cognato un finto fidanzamento per convincere della sua serietà i possibili investitori, ma appena Gabriel lo viene a sapere pone il suo veto a una simile idea (e ti pareva il solito guastafeste che non vede a un palmo dal suo naso).
Malgrado il divieto del fratello, Lucas decide di portare avanti il piano senza però avvertire la ragazza delle perplessità di Gabriel e questo sarà un errore che più avanti gli si ritorcerà contro.
L’attrazione tra i due è innegabile e presto resistere diventa impossibile, ma se inizialmente il bel principe pensa che sia la solita relazione fatta di sesso e complicità, in breve tempo deve confessare a se stesso di essersi innamorato e di volere ben altro da Alice, ma le cose non sono così semplici.
La scrittrice non è pronta a pensare nuovamente a un matrimonio, inoltre dopo ciò che le ha fatto Mason è allergica a bugie e omissioni, e quando scopre che il Re aveva vietato qualsiasi messa in scena si arrabbia moltissimo con il ragazzo, non solo è molto amareggiata per non essere stata informata. Come farà Lucas a farsi perdonare e riconquistare la bella Alice?

Divertente come i precedenti con il giusto pizzico di pepe e peperoncino, la Gilmore conferma la sua bravura con le commedie. Confesso di non vedere l’ora di leggere le avventure degli altri due fratelli.

Alice is on her honeymoon without a husband because he decided to cheat on her with her best friend. Alice is also a romance writer with a deadline looming. So she goes to the island thinking maybe she can get some writing done. Then she meets Lucas and they become friends. She decides to help him by pretending to be his fiancée so he can close a business deal. But somehow pretend becomes real and they have to figure out where to go from here to there. Love this series!!!

I didn't love this one, as much as the others, but it was still really good. I adored Lucas, but Alice got on my nerves a lot. The misunderstandings bothered me, bc she took them to an extreme, but I still enjoyed their love story. Lucas was so sweet to her, from the beginning, and you saw how much he cared for her.
I love fake dating or engagements, so this was right up my alley. I've enjoyed all the books in this series and can't wait for the next.

This book was so fun, as are all of the books in this series. I'm totally digging Kylie's Rourke family. Their world has definitely had some shake ups and changes!

Alice and Lucas were a great couple, once they gave in. And add in a fake engagement? You won me over. Also, Alice is a writer, so hey, that's another check mark on the list of awesome.

Queen Anna is still causing shenanigans in the background. I love that we get to catch up with other characters and how they have an integral part in the stories. It's Anna's prodding that brings Lucas and Alice together.

They were fun. Flirty. Pushing back and forth. The chemistry sizzled. Reading about how they work through things and give in, let go of the past, is one of my favorite things about books. When two people who are pretty sure they'll never fall in love, it'll never work, have to sift through their personal demons to keep the one they love the most, it's something I can never get enough of.

Add in plenty of laughs and unforgettable characters, and you've got yourself a winner. There's characters to love, some not to love, and a great range of emotions. It's why I love Kylie Gilmore's books so much. She always takes me on a journey that I walk away at the end smiling and sometimes, shedding a few tears.

Can't wait to see how this series continues!

Royal Charmer is a whole lot of sunshine with a hint of heat. Alice and Lucas are a modern day fairytale, that will make a believer out of you. Happily ever after gets off to rough start, but blue skies are on the horizon. Give your heart a break and your day a lift with some heartwarming fun.

Wait, could she be my true love? It must be because, I have never begged a woman to stay with me. Let alone change who I am. But when I'm around Alice, I seem to want to be a better man. Both in real life & on her pages of her new romance book. I don't want to be the scoundrel. I want to be her Shining Duke FOR REAL
I have enjoyed this series & cannot wait to continue it. I did find some of Alice's character annoying. How could she not realize that Lukas was not falling for her. He did everything she asked. She put her cheating EX in the same category as the Price. Not fair.

Un quatrième tome toujours aussi addictif que les autres livres de la série. Le troisième frère Rourke, Lucas, le célibataire royal le plus convoité, m’intriguait beaucoup et j’avais hâte de connaître son histoire. Et que dire, à part que je suis charmée.

L’histoire d’Alice et Lucas démarre comme un jeu mais les choses vont se compliquer et la limite entre la réalité et le jeu va devenir de plus en plus difficile à respecter. Alice est un personnage qui m’a beaucoup touché mais également beaucoup dérangé. Cette jeune femme est auteure de romance et donc une grande romantique dans l’âme, tout comme je le suis. Ce côté d’elle m’a beaucoup plus car nous avions les mêmes attentes. Mais d’un autre côté, elle se pose beaucoup trop de questions, et elle ne voit pas ce qui se trouve juste devant elle. Et cela m’a agacé au plus haut point. Par contre, j’ai adoré Lucas. Il est le prince charmant sous toutes ses formes. Il a réussi à me séduire par ces actes et à me charmer par ces mots. Cet homme ne demande qu’une chose qu’on le voit vraiment pour qui il est et non pour sa réputation d’homme à femmes. Et sachez qu’au fur et à mesure des pages, il va nous le prouver de bien des manières. J’ai adoré que l’histoire tourne autour de l’écriture d’un livre, c’était sympa et cela change.

L’auteure a une fois de plus réussi à conquérir mon cœur avec son personnage masculin. Décidément, les frères Rourke, je les veux tous. Plus sérieusement, c’est addictif, l’histoire se lit facilement et reste souple. On a des nouvelles des anciens et des futurs personnages et comme à chaque tome, mes chouchous Anna et Gabriel sont présents pour mon plus grand bonheur.

Une belle histoire d’amour qui sera vous charmer et vous faire découvrir le prince charmant. Cette série est très addictive et les personnages très attachants. Vivement la suite, plus que deux frères Rourke à découvrir. Que leur réserve l’auteure, c’est une bonne question à laquelle j’ai hâte de pouvoir répondre par la lecture du cinquième et sixième tomes !

I really enjoyed Lucas & Alice! I thought it was hilarious that her occupation is a Regency romance writer! Alice was devastated when her fiancé & best friend revealed they’d been cheating on her for months. She was on deadline for her book & having complete writers block, went on her honeymoon by herself hoping the location would inspire her. The location didn’t inspire but once she met Prince Lucas, the ideas started flowing.

Lucas was enthralled once he met Alice. From the beginning, he felt that her ex, Mason was an idiot. The chemistry was strong & Queen Anna gave them the idea of a fake engagement to make Lucas look more settled & responsible. It had the added consequence of allowing them to spend more time together & act on their attraction. What happens when the fake engagement comes to an end & Lucas betrays her trust? Do they get their HEA?

I really enjoyed reading this story. It’s been fun reading the series & seeing how much Lucas has matured since we first met him. From the original, cocky playboy to the mature, businessman looking out for his country. I enjoyed seeing Alice learn to accept her body & her attitude & own both of them. She showed Mason & Riley that she wasn’t a pushover & wouldn’t give them a second chance to hurt her. This was another enjoyable read by Ms. Gilmore.

This was my favorite of The Rourkes series so far!
I just loved the chemistry between Lucas and Alice. She's been double betrayed and trying to move on with her writing career. Lucas is so sweet and, although he has been trying desperately to convince King Gabriel, his brother, he should be made CEO the new family venture, he takes the time when he finds an upset Alice to sit with her just wanting to take away her pain and see her smile. His reaction to her smile is completely unexpected though. I love it when the hot, every-woman-wants-him, guy finds himself drawn to a woman who doesn't fall at his feet in the way all other women fall.
He is definitely a charmer. Stepping right off the romance novel page to make Alice happy. Totally swoon worthy! And Alice is a badass exactly when she needs to be one! These are two people who burned up the pages of my Kindle. And two people who are more than some have seen. If they'd only look beneath the surface. Together I think they make a perfect match. Maybe the best one of the series because I didn't just read it, I felt the depth of it! I'm still swooning!! Loved it!!!

What is it about these Rourke siblings having away for picking someone who is totally unsuitable for their station as royalty?

Lucas wants more respect from his older brother the king, and show that he wants to be part of the family business. He needs a chance to prove to his family that he is not just a party boy and a pretty face. His sister in law might have a plan to help him though. Does he dare to take up her plan? Couldn't all be lost if he is found out. but on the other hand he can find everything he didn't know that he wanted.

Alice has fled the states. She is trying to figure out her life from something that should have never happened. And the island of Villroy just might be the place to do so. She meets a young man who is sympathetic to her cause and listens and offers to help her out. She might just strike a deal that benefits both of them but is more then she bargained for in the end.

Will these two be able to stick to the bargain and help each other out? Can they find a way to make things work for both of them without ruffling feathers?

As the new reign of the Rourkes work to re-boost Villroy's economy, Lucas (always thought of as a playboy) wants to be a part of the new endeavors and help his family and his home. His brother, the King, is unsure of giving him any REAL responsibility...thinking he may leave at any moment.
The Queen gives him a chance to prove himself, which includes him getting a fake fiancee, you know, to show his commitment .

Alice is a writer who is up against a deadline, on Villroy Island to get through her writers block....OH and is on her honeymoon...ALONE. After she found out her Fiancee was cheating on her with her best friend...and they fell in love.

Alice agrees to be Lucas' Fake Fiancee to help save Villroy and to break her writers block.

Will the two be able to reach their goals? Or will their whole plan blow up in their faces?... especially when Alice's ex fiancee and ex best friend show up at the most inopportune time.

I LOVE Lucas....I loves watching him mature and see how much he really wants to be a help. Also his frustration at being passed over as CEO.

The characters are fun and have a great connection.

PLOT:
If only life was a romance novel, where everyone always lives Happily Ever After and no one is on their honeymoon by themselves because the person you were supposed to marry runs off with your best friend, at least this is what Alice imagines. As a romance writer, Alice knows maybe more than anyone thanks to always imagining daily life playing out in her stories, but lately not so much. It's even worse when the draft of her next book is due and she doesn't believe in love, what's a romance writer to do?
Lucas, a bachelor Prince, wants to be taken seriously by the world and most importantly his family. His family's kingdom is flourishing, but Lucas feels left out because of how the media and his past actions have made him out to be, but a man can change can't they? They may if they have the right person at their side. He and Alice hatch a plan, she'll give him a better image, while she finds inspiration at his side, but when all is said and done will their story end with both walking away or making a true romance out of a work of fiction?

Wow, I loved this installment in this series. I've enjoyed all of Gilmore's books, but this book had everything I love and more. I absolutely adored Alice. Her inner monologues had me laughing out loud throughout this book.

Another incredible addition to the Rourkes series.

Romance author Alice Segal is on her honeymoon on the small island country of Villroy but, sadly, she is there without a groom. Still trying to pull herself together and work through the grief of losing her fiance to her best friend she finds solace in a friendship that develops with Prince Lucas. Now if she can just get her writing mojo back she might have a career left.

Voted most eligible bachelor in the world, Prince Lucas Rourke is 3rd in line for the crown in Villroy. Known most of his adult life as a playboy he has only had one relationship that lasted more than a few dates but when he sees a palace guest in the garden it is obvious she is distraught and he is drawn to making her smile again. Determined to now be taken seriously by his brother, King Gabriel, he and Alice may be able help each other get what they want most.

I love Queen Anna and her romantically sly interference in Lucas and Alice's story.

Royal Charmer by Kylie Gilmore is the fourth book in this fun and entertaining series. This story has a bit of heartbreak, a new friendship, a fake engagement with a touch of romance and just maybe some love. The characters are well developed and very lovable It was so easy to fall for these two. I had a smile the whole time I was reading and I probably became a bit misty eyed a few times. We have Alice who has gone on her honeymoon with out the groom and this is where the real fun and excitement starts. Prince Lucas is known as the world’s most eligible bachelor and partying man. When Alice and Lucas meet you can feel a great connection between them a great start to a wonderful friendship or could this be the start of something more. If you love stories with a prince and the woman who may bring him to his knees this is definitely the story for you. I love the Rourkes and can’t wait for more of these great Royals. I absolutely loved this book and I highly recommend it. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

How can a renown bachelor and a disenchanted in love can have a HEA? Well, first they will need to play-act and pretend to be engaged after an instant love at first sight moment. Only, they get to realize that their lust can have deeper roots. But all that pretending was all with clear and complete different purposes for both of them. Alice needs to write her romance that´s over deadline even though she was cheated by her fiancé with her best friend and cancelled her wedding and decided to go alone to their honeymoon. Lucas on the other side needs to prove to his kingdom to be something more respectful and dependable than a royal playboy bachelor . But spending time together brings them together in a more than friends level. But how they can rely on each other with so much self confidence and distrust issues?? This book brings so many feelings such as: body image shame, empathy, self assurance, mistrust, hopelessness that it is to hard to put it down. Another great story by Kylie Gilmore!!

Loving this new Royal series by Kylie! 5 royal stars for this one, grab it asap!
Meet Prince Lucas, you know the brother from the bachelor auction who almost caused a riot! He wants more responsibility with the new business venture that the family is working on, but King Gabriel & Queen Anna think of him only as the one who leaves on the drop of a dime to go and party, they don't think he's committed to accept bigger responsibilities. When he is walking through the palace garden, he comes across a woman, Alice, who's there on her honeymoon, alone, and overhears her conversation, not realizing she's an author who's talking about a story idea with her manager. When she pulls into herself, he comes to her aid and comforts her.
I don't want to give too much away here, you will love this story, read along and enjoy Alice and her quirky ways, and fall in love with Prince Lucas! Grab this one and enjoy!

Wow! This book is definitely one worth reading. It is the 4th book in the series Royal Charming by Kylie Gilmore. Royal Charming shows the softer side of Prince Lucas, the 3rd in line to the throne of Villroy and Alice a well known romance writer. Prince Lucas meets Alice in the royal gardens, grieving over her life. Alice went on her honeymoon to Villroy without the groom who cheated on her with her best friend. Alice lost her mojo for writing and needs the first draft done in two weeks and Prince Lucas wants to be taken seriously in the family business but the King, his brother feels he is flighty and doesn’t trust him to follow through. They enter into a fake engagement to help each other in their goals. Prince Lucas with being taken seriously by the King and Alice in her writing. This is definitely a wonderful addition the the Rourke series and I love how the Queen Anna quietly match makes! I received this book as an arc for an honest review of it.

Cela faisait un bon moment que je n’avais pas lu une romance avec pour héros un prince ( des siècles meme !) , mais l’auteure a su moderniser le genre. C’est mignon comme tout et une très bonne détente.

L’héroïne Alice est une jeune femme moderne, pulpeuse et auteure de romances historique. Elle vient de trouver son fiancé à une semaine de leur mariage avec sa meilleure amie. Pourtant elle décide de profiter de sa lune de miel dans la province de Villroy , et plus précisément dans le Palais Royal. Ce séjour, pense-t-elle va lui permettre d’oublier ses déboires et de retrouver l’envie d’écrire. Elle va faire la connaissance du Prince Lucas, un charmeur et coureur de jupons, mais pas que ça.

On pourrait penser que l’on va se retrouver dans une romance à la Barbara Cartland , pas du tout. Alice et Lucas vont devenir amis, vraiment et s’apporter l’un à l’autre beaucoup. C’est vrai, pétillant aussi car Alice, fasciné par la Régence est légèrement décalée dans ce monde moderne.

Wow This book is definitely my new favourite from Kylie Gilmore!! When playboy Prince Lucas meets romance author Alice, these two could not be more different!! With Alice who believes in love and HEA and Prince Lucas who just jumps from bed to bed, love seemed impossible. Kylie crafted a beautiful love story from the first meeting, a fake engagement and then to its finally conclusion that had great emotional turmoil but loved that her books end with great HEA!! Watching them both evolve in their relationship was great to read!! Could not put this book down from start to finish!! You will fall in love with the very charming Prince Lucas!! Love revisiting with the King and Queen, Gabriel and Anna!! Can't wait for the next book in this series!!

Another wonderful read! I very much enjoyed the Lucas+Alice shenanigans. I liked Lucas from a few books back so I was definitely looking forward to his story. Lucas was having a difficult time proving himself to Gabriel as a dependable member of the family within their new venture. Alice was on her honeymoon without a husband nursing a broken heart and trying to write her next romance novel. Anna of course steps in and finds a solution to both problems but as expected, things do not exactly go as planned. I admired Alice for her strength and Lucas for putting her feelings ahead of his own wants. It was a sweet story and a joy to see them both come together as they did. I can't wait to get my (digital) hands on the next book!

Come tutti gli altri libri di questa serie, ho trovato questo libro molto leggero e scorrevole. Un vero amore da favola, con un principe che da scapolo d'oro passa ad essere l'uomo più romantico che esista. Si tratta di una storia di seconde possibilità, ma non una seconda possibilità classica, ma dare una nuova possibilità all'amore, avere fiducia nella persona che ti sta accanto. E posso dire che questa è forse il mio preferito perché da a noi ragazze curvy la possibilità di credere in un vero lieto fine. Leggete tutta la serie non ve ne pentirete, io non vedo l'ora di leggere Oscar e Adrian, e ovviamente i cugini. 5 stelle

I swear I wanted to knock Mason in the face. If it wasn't for the audience I know Lucas would have done just that. Oh and Gabriel is about on my last nerve to, acting like he was never bewitched by a woman. Lucas had the patience of a saint dealing with being belittled and so on. On the other hand I. LOVED. HIM. Scoundrel be darn he was a prince on a mission. Poor Alice didn't know which way was up. He had her and every other reader swooning and knocking him upside his head.

This was a very cute book of pursuit and happiness. Support and chase.

Handsome Prince Lucas is trying to put a more mature life on track when he meets Alice. Alice has just experienced a broken heart and Lucas offers her friendship. This friends to lovers, fake engagement, royal romance is very enjoyable. I loved watching Lucas fall head over heels for Alice without even realizing it. I loved how their belief and appreciation of each other gave each other strength. Humor, heat, and romance (Regency style) are all present in this book written in the first person with dual POV. The HEA is especially sweet.

Oh Alice and Lucas. I am so besotted with you both. Love all the Rourke’s but Lucas has just become my new book boyfriend. It was love at first sight for him but it took spending time with a Alice to see it. Alice is one of those ultimate heroines that just gets into your heart and stays there. I loved that she she stood up for herself when the time came to confront her betrayers. I was worried she would let Lucas go because of his stubborn ways. The both triumphed and came out better for it. Bring on the next Rourke so ready for him.

Alice goes to Vilroy Island and meets Lucas in the garden. Lucas wants to comfort Alice since she is upset. The more Lucas talks to Alice the more Lucas wants to know. Lucas has never felt like this before and hopes Alice feels the same. Alice isn't interested in a relationship after just getting dumped. This book was so good! Alice was so strong and thought she was only being friends with Lucas. Lucas realized that Alice was different than the other girls he dated and he wanted to treat her better. Loving this series!!

Lucas Rourke has charm in spades!!!!!!

But it's really a defense mechanism for his feelings of inadequacy of being the third born prince and never being truly needed; which is all he's ever wanted.

Alice has been hurt by the man she thought she loved and the person that she considered her best friend in the world. It's going to take a lot to get over that, or so she thinks.

They both just need someone to believe in them and above all be honest and open.

Such a great love story!
