Dr. Andy Wachowski is revealed to be a twin brother of a guy who got hurt in the war (whatever) he helped make extension technology! Apparently Tetsuro was helping them but quickly realized and surmised that they don’t have very good morals. It’s also believed that Berühren is using the terrorist organization Spitzbergen to create more extended!
Tetsuro won’t break his word to Juzo (to use Harmony on him) but instead tells Juzo that he can hack his override and let Juzo pull his own trigger! (Giggle)
Meanwhile a fight breaks out with Pepper and Seven, they were originally there to kill the doctor but got distracted. Seven loves Pepper so much (in fact before they were partners he’s the one that gave her the scar when he snapped at her for approaching him in his confinement) but she doesn’t see him as…anything. We got a gross scene of her pulling a spider from her throat and blood and yeah.
Anyway, they fight and super kick Juzo’s ass. But Tetsuro and needle guy step in. Oh yeah there’s a pupil who needle guy isn’t fond of there too.
But in typical unexplained sci-fi nonsense, Juzo rebuilds his body and can store ALOT of gun stuff in his back (reminds me of SaiKano) and we see a really touching memory of how his partner left him and how he became a sniper rifle to kill off the other gun units. It ends on a cliffhanger where B corp tries to get the situation under control as they fight around that giant statue.

3.5 stars. This volume also missed the mark for me just a bit. While it had some really huge revelations and backstory elements for both Tetsuro, Juzo, and Pepper, as well as some epic fight scenes, I also wasn't particularly hooked by some of the more philosophical pieces (though this may be residually and unfairly affected by the fact I remember being really confused when watching the anime version of these arcs and by the fact some things might get lost in translation). Also, Seven's powered up form kind of jumped the shark a little for me, design-wise, which was a shame since he's a character I really like and I generally find the designs in this series awesome and epic. Not a bad volume by any means, just not my favorite.
Reading these a few months apart makes it a little confusing until about I start remembering things mid-way through, going to start waiting till I have at least 2-3 to read at once.
