Dan's first tournament may have ended, but life goes on. His luck is still with him in his regular life as well, and it seems to be endless. However, he is surrounded by very smart people, and surely one of them is going to start doubting his talents, at least a bit?
Especially now, with a new game about to start. The latest foes are even more dangerous than the last and the rules are still unfamiliar to him. Dan wonders how reasonable the rules are in the first place. Is it really possible to take a competition that lasts a couple of hours at most seriously? A competition in which you are supposed to work together with simple monsters in order to destroy the enemy base?
And so, the story of an ordinary Russian guy who suddenly found himself in the future continues, and another battle between his luck and the rest of the world is about to start. Who will come out on top?
Hello, everyone. We’re two guys from Russia, and you probably won't believe us, but we write very good science fiction, fantasy, and LitRPG books. At least a hundred thousand people that have already read them have become our fans. Honestly, writing has always been our passion. Therefore, we don't plan to stop. We’ll continue to develop our series; new books will be released, we'll start new projects as well... And we hope that more and more people will be able to enjoy our stories with the help of Amazon and other sites. We love that so many people, who might have never heard of us, just a few decades prior, might now get a chance to become our readers and, hopefully, fans. Also, we have a little secret we'd like to share with you. My biggest dream is to have a film made, with a script based on our books, and my friend has always dreamt about seeing an anime based on one of our fictional worlds. I guess what remains is to find out which one of us will see his dream come true first!
Way of the Champion. This is a story about what an ordinary guy can do with a bit of luck, hah, and support of friends. It has a set of great characters, awesome mc and very interesting plot with a lot of twists and easter eggs. I really liked the story, can't wait to see where the author take the story! I'll definitely read the next book.
Mistakes: I found only two. Plot: This is a masterful take of seeing different views and how they influence a persons thoughts and perspectives. Characters: The MC is a lucky idiot. The fun is seeing everything from the supporting characters and how they see the MC as a talented genius. 8/10 What will book three have for us?
I both enjoyed the many point of view and found it made for a confusing experience at times. Similar to watching a film where someone keeps rewinding it. I had fun anyway. A good read.
This time, the main character became involved in a competition arranged by mysterious men. New test is a game in which he is supposed to unite with monsters in order to Defend the Ancients and fight in the League with other Legends. Aristocrats, politicians, heirs of ancient houses, the most powerful people from all over the world, are his competitors in this strange test.
This story is very interesting, fun and humorous, with many points of view, and strategic thinking. But the best thing that it’s about true friendship, love and hardcore gaming!
A brilliant addition to the hilarious book one. After reading practically the entire first book out loud to my father and laughing so much I almost peed my pants, I recommended the book to many people. When I learned that there was a trilogy, I was very excited. I loved this story and the ending was perfect. Gonna read the third book soon.
I'm actually not exactly sure how I feel about this book that's why I have it three stars
It has the same switching viewpoints from the first book that I absolutely loved but there seemed to be less of them in my opinion. On the other hand the plot took a huge turn out to left field. And that's all I can say without spoilers
Code Hero is the second book in the Champion is Playing series by Anton Emelianov. The story continues with Dan, who has just finished his first tournament. His incredible luck follows him into his regular life, but he soon finds himself surrounded by very smart people who start doubting his talents. As a new game begins, Dan faces even more dangerous foes and unfamiliar rules. He questions the seriousness of a competition that involves working with simple monsters to destroy the enemy base. The adventure of an ordinary Russian guy in the future continues, with another battle between his luck and the rest of the world about to start.
The book is an exhilarating continuation of the series. The protagonist, Dan, navigates a blend of luck and strategy, keeping readers on edge. The narration is engaging, making you feel every twist and turn of his journey. The storyline progresses at a brisk pace, ensuring there's never a dull moment. The blend of humor and tension is spot-on, and the stakes feel incredibly real as Dan faces new challenges. This book keeps the thrill alive and is a fantastic follow-up, perfectly setting up for more adventures to come. Definitely a must-read for fans of the series!
This is certainly not a new epic fantasy tale with writing on the level of Rothfuss or Martin (when he was good), but it's still entertaining.
Dan is a man out of place and out of his league. But through luck and simple plans he continues to 'outsmarts' the clever opposition. It's still very funny for me to get the different viewpoints and reactions to Dan's shenanigans.
The love story is as much over the top as the rest and I just went with it.
The lucky fool saga continues. The MC and his friends from the first game enters another tournament with unclear rewards. This time it is a tower defense game.
The story is entertaining and humorous. Once again the switching between the perceptions of the different characters was the most fun for me. Unfortunately, this time the views seemed less believable to me, especially the groopie vibe of the females was sometimes hard to bear. The sheer blind luck of the MC with his new (mostly false) belief that his success is due to his cleverness was sometimes annoying and too immature for me. The ending of the book was a bit strange.
This wasn't a bad story, but it was extremely disjointed. Almost like the author mad a series of blog posts, then decided to gather all the blog posts into a single work, and publish it as a book. I don't know if this was a result of translation, or if it's a result of the author's writing style, but it's a bit disconcerting at times to have this format, since things don't always carry on from section to section, and sometimes things are introduced that didn't appear before, and it makes for jarring experiences at times. It isn't a bad story, but it's definitely different from what I'm used to seeing from LitRpG stories.
A good book of you dont set expectation up above the premise of the book
This is a multiple view novel. Dan who gets lucky and most others who are just amazed that can is so far above their thinking that they are amazed. This book is 2nd in series the first was a little better.
This is a translation. And the novel can get a little repetative.. Wow yet again they are amazed by dan. But if you understand and enjoy the joke and don't expect too much this is a very fun novel with no truely evil or totally good character.
Great amusing series. I can’t wait to start book 3. Possible spoilers . . . . . . So something that was hinted at in the very beginning of book 1 is confirmed at end of book 2. I love how the silence and miss/lack of communication shapes the players based on their personality just automatically assuming that everyone else are mind readers. Lol Ex. how dan is setting up the monsters to help - doesn’t tell anyone - they kill the monsters thinking it’s to help level up. Smh 🤦♀️ lol 😂
More of the same. The story continues with the MC Dan and his incredible luck and how all around him consider his luck as clever planning what makes him the smartest man of the world. It is kind of slapstick and it is the same trick over and over. BUT - it is so wonderfully made that it doesn't lose its charme. Perfect entertainment. Only remove one star because

This book is a great continuation of the series. I still love the level of misunderstanding that occurs in this book. Although would love to learn why he appeared in the future. Who brought him forward i time.
It's basically a do-over of the first volume but where the authors were tripping on LSD and thought they were writing a coherent story. (They weren't.) Some odd end-of-the-world time-travel stuff is just the cherry on top.
A very confusing book. Each chapter had multiple POV’s, the story often started and then reset to show other POV’s of the same event and often you didn’t fully know where or what ‘dimension’ the story was staking place on. That being said...the story of a clueless hero is interesting you just have to sift through a lot to enjoy it.
