She’s in high heels; he wears hiking boots.
Can these two opposites make romance in Metlin work?

Tayla McKinnon is not a small town girl. The fashion blogger moved to Metlin with two goals in mind: help her friend start a book store and have a little fun. A year later, Tayla has made new friends, successfully launched INK, and is ready for a new challenge. Too bad she can’t get a certain rock-climbing, comic book geek off her mind.

Jeremy Allen has been playing the long game with Tayla, even though the avid outdoorsman was certain she was the one from the minute he set eyes on her. They may have different tastes, but their chemistry is undeniable.

When a job opportunity from a new fashion start-up lands in her inbox, Tayla takes it as a sign. She’s not meant for a small town, even though her best friend and her inconvenient crush are trying to convince her otherwise.

Jeremy can’t believe Tayla would be willing to leave her new life behind, but maybe he’s been playing it too cool. Summer in Metlin can sizzle, which gives Jeremy an excuse to turn up the heat.

Hooked is a stand-alone, opposites-attract romance in the Love Stories on 7th and Main series by Elizabeth Hunter, USA Today Bestselling author of INK.

I am so thankful to be able to get my hands on this book early, and after reading it I am happily leaving this review!
This is the second book in the 7th and Main series set in Metlin, and things just keep getting better! Last time we fell in love with Ox, Emmie, Metlin and the bookstore. This round it's time for sassy, shapely, sexy and confident Tayla to fall for Jeremy...friendly, smart and smoldering nerd extraordinaire. I am a sucker for stories that have women in the lead who are not the normal leading lady size of 2-6. But Hooked was the first one that had a shapely woman who didn't have all of the self esteem issues riddling her narrative. As a plus sized girl myself I found her extremely inspiring. She's full figured but she's not letting that stop her from being healthy and strong and living life full on. I want to be Tayla when I grow up! ( I'm not kidding about that, after reading this my goal for myself isn't necessarily weight loss, but how to be stronger where I'm at because I realized I actually liked how I looked!!!!) Tayla really loved who she was inside and out. Her confidence takes the lead, and she does it without being a total bit**. Tayla is all about the sass, but that doesn't make her a mean girl. And don't even get me started on Jeremy **fans myself** Ok, you can get me started!

Jeremy is the real deal. He's not some guy who's been broken too many times to count and never had anyone love him in his life making him feel empty and alone and in need of finding someone who finds him worthy...don't get me wrong I do so love a redemption story and a broken man!! But Jeremy is so genuine and full of love. Sure he's the quiet man giving you sexy smirks from the other corner of the room that make your heart flutter and your insides clench, but its not because he's a bad boy. He knows what he wants, but he's a damn GENTLEMAN. He's determined but honorable. A man of integrity, that we find he's learned by great men and women who have surrounded him and raised him well. You hear that ladies?!?! He was raised right! And please don't mistake gentleman for pansy, Jeremy has a smolder you don't see coming. **excuse me while I fan myself again** I loved that not only was he unbothered by Taylas size, he craved her. He supported her social media personality, I'd say he had a very unnatural ability to know places that would make for great photo ops for her, but that's all part of the perfection that is Jeremy's charm. And when it came down to it, he supported her even when it could have crushed him for her to walk away. The two of them combined with Emmie and Ox and the magic of Metlin makes this series my favorite contemporary romance series ever!

One more thing...the character you don't expect in this book to steal your heart really is Metlin. I would think that this town is a mythical unicorn if the author hadn't said that it is based on a place she lives. I hate to exercise, but after reading this book ALL I want to do is shop in the bookstore (maybe grab a tattoo or 6 while I'm there) and get on my bike and ride around, shop the shops and restaurants and have a romantic weekend away. I don't live in a place like that, so to have something so make believe actually be based on reality it is a powerful draw. Thank you, Elizabeth, for showing me a place that's worth dreaming about that I might actually be able to visit one day and for writing characters who inspire!!

I have been obsessed with Elizabeth Hunter's Love Stories on 7th and Main series since Ink and seriously squealed when I saw that Tayla was going to get her very own story. I absolutely loved her and Jeremy. Their chemistry was sweet and sassy and the attraction and heat between them was amazing!!

When Tayla McKinnon, the best friend of Emmie, from Hunter's first book in this series, feels like she may have outgrown the small town of Metlin, shock waves hit her circle of friends as she reevaluates her future. But she is conflicted when she sees that not only has she made great friends and memories living in Metlin this past year, but finds the small town's warm hospitality and kindness to be a major draw and breath of fresh air from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Not only that, but the mere mention and sight of her uber hot comic geek/mountain climber friend, Jeremy, has her all in a tizzy. She can deny their attraction and compatibility and fall back on her commitment phobic ways all she wants, but with her impending departure almost a reality, he makes it a mission to keep his city girl right where he needs her!

Gah! There is nothing I love more than opposites attract romance. Tayla and Jeremy were so different in personality styles but together they were fire! I love that Jeremy was so honest and forthright about his feelings for Tayla. He was so compelling and swoony that he stole my attention whenever he was on the page. I loved that he accepted Tayla for who she was and was proud of all her accomplishments even if it took her away from Metlin. He was charming, deliciously sexy and his charisma and subtle swagger had me swooning left and right. Tayla likewise was an absolute powerhouse in my eyes! She was confident and proud of who she was and her larger than life personality. I absolutely loved them together and how Tayla realizes that home is truly where your heart is. This was another amazing read in the series! Bravo! 4.5 stars! ~Ratula

3.5 stars Opposites Attract

Jeremy & Taylor were cute. I actually think opposites work best since they give the other partner some balance in interests.
I like they Taylor wasn’t flighty or dumb just because she was a fashion influencer. Jeremy was a nice guy who wasn’t pushy but patient in waiting for the woman he liked.
Really cute story.

Forgot I still had this on hold whereas I love this author's work this didn't work for me and it is not the writing or that is con romance it is the following;

I like to think that I have some fashion sense but am not overly fashionable so lets just say that the heroine is very fashionable and in great detail her outfits where explained. She also loves makeup also not a lot I can identify I have foundation, concealer and mascara and that is it.

The Hero is a snazzy dresser as well but I felt as if something was missing for me at least.

This is ME and not the BOOK!

I was given the opportunity to read an early copy. I was already in love with Metlin, the town where these stories are based, before reading Hooked but now it is safe to say that I just want to go and be a part of life in Metlin and hang out with all these super cool, talented, beautiful, friendly characters that Elizabeth Hunter has created.

This is the story of Tayla, Instagram extraordinaire and book keeper to the wonderful shops of Metlin and the delicious Jeremy, the hot owner of Merlin’s comic store. It is a slow burn story, full of wit and humor and naughtiness. The flirting!! The texting!! I can’t recommend this series enough. It is pure happiness. There is drama - of course there is! But this story gives you all the feels and happy vibes. Go and buy it, you will not be disappointed, I promise!

⭐⭐⭐⭐, 5

“How did you make a choice between the life you always wanted and the life you never imagined you’d want?”

3.5 stars

This is the second book in Elizabeth Hunter’s 7th and Main series, taking us back to the town of Metlin, California, and its quirky, lovable inhabitants. This is the story of Tayla McKinnon, best friend of Emmie (heroine from book #1, INK), but this book can easily be read as a standalone, and I really enjoyed this sweet and sexy opposites-attract story.

Tayla is a city girl who loves all things culture and fashion, and she runs her own successful fashion blog. She moved to Metlin temporarily to help Emmie get settled with her new business, and she’s been enjoying her experience of smaller-town living, but she’s just learned of a dream job opportunity back in San Francisco that is perfect for her. It’s clearly a sign that it’s time to get back to the real world and her life plan… if only it wasn’t for her inconvenient crush on local geek and hot rock climber, Jeremy.

Jeremy runs the comic book store in Metlin, and spends every spare moment he has in the great outdoors. From the moment Tayla came to town, he’s been interested. He knows they are incredibly different, and Tayla has made no secret of the fact that she’s a fan of hook-ups and not interested in a relationship, but he knows he’s slowly wearing her down, and the sexual tension between them builds with each and every encounter. But now Tayla is talking of returning to San Francisco, it’s time to step up his game. He knows he has a battle on his hands with Tayla, but her sass and confidence turn him on like no one ever has, and he goes all out to get his girl.

When she fell for him, he wanted her to fight it. Just a little. It would make the surrender all the more satisfying.

It doesn’t take a whole lot of convincing for Tayla to agree to go out with Jeremy, and what follows is a really fun romance. Tayla and Jeremy are both very mature and confident, and they know what they want; they tease and play with each other, but it’s not in an angsty push-pull kind of way, they know exactly what they’re doing, and they enjoy every moment of their fun, sexy, chemistry-filled flirtation.

She unbuckled her seatbelt and scooted closer to him, laying her head on his shoulder. “Don’t crash.”
“Don’t do anything crazy and I’ll do my best.”
“Was that a veiled reference to road head?”
He shook his head and tried unsuccessfully to smother a smile. “Woman, you have a dirty mind.”
“I read a lot of romance novels. They’re good for the imagination.”
“I’ll remember that.”

It was supposed to be a simple hook—up. Tayla never expected to develop feelings, but the more time she spends with sweet and charming Jeremy, she finds herself falling further and further under his spell, and who can blame her?

“I don’t want to think about tomorrow. Or next month. I want to be with you right here and now.” His mouth was so close she could feel his breath on her cheek. “You with me?”

But with the bright lights of San Francisco calling, and the job opportunity of a lifetime, it’s going to take a lot of soul-searching for Tayla to figure out what it is she truly wants from her life, and it’s a journey of self-discovery as she, along with the help of her friends and one very determined boyfriend, does exactly that.

“How did you make a choice between the life you always wanted and the life you never imagined you’d want?”

This was a really cute read. Tayla is a huge personality, and while I didn’t warm to her as much as I would have liked, she’s perfect for Jeremy, and he is so incredibly amazing that I did love them together. The love story is gorgeous, but I feel like it got short-changed a bit with all of the other stuff happening in the story. While I loved exploring the town of Metlin and its inhabitants, I wasn’t as interested in Tayla’s career opportunities or her fashion blog, I just wanted more of the romance, but I was happy with the way that the story played out, and I finished the book with a big grin on my face.

Ink rocked my world, and though I didn’t love this one as much, I’m super-excited for the next book in the series, Grit, and my fingers are crossed that the glimpses we got in this book are a hint of what is to come!

3.5 stars

Elizabeth Hunter does an amazing job with defining her characters and the world.  The descriptions are so lush; I feel as though I am there.  Hooked is the second book set in the small town of Medlin in California, the 7th and Main .

Tayla and Jeremy are great characters with their own unique personalities and competencies.  Tayla is smart and quite the fashionista.  Jeremy is a geek who loves to be outdoors with a wonderful family.  Neither one of them is lacking in brains or skills.

I got plenty of feelings as these friends became more.  I enjoyed their banter and the reactions and issues seemed authentic. The dates they planned were so thoughtful and fantastic! The story is relatively short at 207 pages. I could have used a bit more on the relationship once they got together.

I did figure out pretty quickly part of how Tayla could resolve her issues which happened as I expected. There were other parts - which were great - that I didn't see coming.    I really enjoyed the aspect of the businesses and how they were promoting and working at them.  It's another level of detail not always found in contemporary romance.   I have to wonder if Jeremy's friend, Cary, is up next when there's another book this fall.

COYER: Read a book with hands and no face. PTS: 4

I was fortunate enough to "hook" myself an advanced copy of Hooked and dang it if I am not Hooked on Metlin and it's residents! Ok enough cheesy jokes. Let's get to the review! Tayla, our main character, is refreshing and someone that I would love to follow on Insta - if she was real. She is real, she is dynamic and in true Elizabeth Hunter style - she is someone we all want in our circle. And Jeremy - oh you sinfully scrumptious man - yes - he makes bow ties SEXY, he makes comics and game nights, cosplay very VERY hot, and we haven't even spoken about the rock climbing. I mean, come on - he ROCK CLIMBS ladies.

Hunter brings together two people from very different upbringings and lifestyles -a girl who loves the city, fashion, makeup, social media, etc; and a man who is modern with an old school gentleman's flirting style. Can this "never plant roots" girl and the "Sturdy as a rock" boy make it work?

Trust me - you will laugh, you will abuse the highlight feature on your e-reader, you will add their dates to your 'bucket list' and if you are like Hunter's fans - you will try pleading with her to create Tayla's Insta account in reality!

The perfect summer read: sweet and satisfying small-town romance

Normally I am not one for the sweet small-town romance, but the fictional town of Metlin, California has something that is quite irresistible.

Tayla only moved to Metlin to help her friend Emmie set up her dream bookstore and get it running and then she sort of lingered there (Emmie and Ox’ story is told in INK, the first book in the 7th and Main series). Tayla thinks she is a big city girl at heart and she has been eyeing job opportunities in San Francisco, and finally a great offer comes along. Only to realize that she has not only found lots of new friends, likes living in a tightly knit community where everybody seems to know everybody, has become involved in a number of local projects, but she has also fallen hard for geeky yet gorgeous comic bookstore owner and recreational climber Jeremy. So when the job offer of her dreams comes along she is all of a sudden not so keen to accept it if it means leaving behind all the things she didn’t know she would miss so much…

For all that this romance is light and fresh and sweet, without a lot of angst, I really liked that it reflects on the struggle (especially for women) to reconcile family and career. By being bold and going after what she wants, Tayla manages to get both in the end, despite having grown up in a dysfunctional family herself. On a broader perspective the novel also interrogates traditional narratives of what it means to be successful in your job and that you can only achieve that if you sacrifice your family life (like Tayla’s father did), or the implicit understanding that in a relationship it has been (and still largely is) the woman who has to move to where her male partner works. Here that assumption is undercut by Jeremy’s refusal to ask Tayla to stay (even though there is nothing he wants more) and to make her chose between him and her dream job.

More than even with the protagonists I fell in love with Metlin. In a world were more and more people live a life of alienation and anonymity, where communities grow increasingly more fragmented, the feeling of place, family and communality that Metlin evokes, satisfies a deep-seated, though unvoiced yearning that many people living in these times have. The utopia of a supportive community, of belonging, of having ties to a place is what we all secretly wish for and which in this novel plays just as important a role as finding fulfillment in romantic love.

A sweet and satisfying contemporary romance, with a side of naughtiness: The perfect summer read. 4.75 stars

I LOVE TAYLA! I want to be her BFF for all the reasons!! She is the woman I think all women want to be... strong, funny, honest and great self-esteem. Add a fantastic wardrobe to all of that and she is perfect... except maybe some of her ideas about men.

Jeremy has become my ideal man. Sweet, geeky, athletic, honest and a "thing" for a healthy sized behind. He know what he wants, and Tayla is at the top of the list.

Metlin has become my Eden as well. Small town with big personalities, a bookstore WITH tattoos, great food, comic books and gorgeous men. All of the yeses!!

Elizabeth did it again! She wows me with every story she tells, regardless of subgenre. I'm definitely "Hooked".

How can I even begin to describe how adorable this story is? This story is a mood-lifting ray of sunshine. Tayla and Jeremy could not be any more different, but they somehow fit perfectly together. This story is as much about their romance as it was about Tayla's personal growth. I enjoyed reading her exploration of life's priorities. A definite "keeper" of a book by Elizabeth Hunter!

No one writes a romance like Elizabeth Hunter! She always makes me feel like I'm falling in love with her beautiful words and incredible heart. Hooked is set in the same world as Ink, but Tayla and Jeremy have a very different life story. Opposites definitely attract, but can they make it work when life gets in the way?

This story gave me anxiety in the best sense. The will they, won't they is surrounded by insane attraction and shifting priorities as Tayla tries and fails to fight true love.

Tayla is an exceptional character. Flawed, but fiercely loyal. Smart, beautiful, trendy, and fun, she is one of the best characters out there.

Jeremy is the kind of man women dream of. Successful, settled, loyal, kind, and so, so sexy. His patience and love are sigh worthy.

They come together in a storm of passion and differences, but will it be enough? It's so much fun finding out!

I officially nominate Metlin for the Best, Quirkiest, Unique, Most Entertaining & Endearing small City/Town in the USA! I mean any town that has a Martian Taco Restaurant needs to be tops on that list!

This return to Metlin, CA featured Tayla - Emmie's Best Friend and Big City Girl & Jeremy - Boomerang Local who runs the Comic & Game Emporium & doubles as "HOT" mountain-man yummy-ness on the side!

Loved Them! Loved Their Banter, the Tension and all the flawed, hot-mess-ness that made them perfect for each other.

Loved Jeremy's Plan of Attack, his calm coolness on the out-side, His sneak attacks on Tayla's protective walls. Loved that he was behind her 100% even if that meant they didn't end up together.

Also, loved all the other characters that made this town so captivating and eclectic.

Engaging Story!

This is my favorite of the series so far and I've read books one, two, and four. Jeremy and Tayla's story is funny, heartwarming, and surprisingly deep.

When I started this book I didn't think I would enjoy it that much. Tayla being Miss Girly Girl, and Jeremy being Mr. Hunky Geeky Guy. Although, it was more than the opposite interests they had to overcome. It was Tayla's refusal to get involved or commit against Jeremy's being the keeper type.

Can Jeremy show Tayla that she is the keeper type too or will she run back to San Francisco?

I was completely hooked from about the third page until the end. I highly recommend this book and the series.

For the best reading experience, you should read books one through three in order. Book four can be read first or last.

I absolutely loved it!
Elizabeth Hunter continues doing her thing, and bringing to life such amazing and complex characters. Tayla McKinnon, is just as fabulous, as we remember from the previous novel, “Ink!” And you just simply, cannot help but to fall in love 🥰 with Jeremy Allen. Theirs is a story you do not want to miss. It’s a true treasure!

Loved revisiting one of my favorite fictional towns. Loved Jeremy's character. He was warm, loving, fun, and super gorgeous. But I couldn't warm up to Tayla. She somehow felt like an artificial, flashy, and expensive flower. I was unable to connect with her. My favorite scene? Hands down the picnic by the Lower Lake arranged by Jeremy to woo Tayla.

This book was released before Covid - and the big chunk of conflict of this book was Tayla McKinnon (self-claimed city girl who will also said that she would never be an outdoorsy one) was getting offer in San Francisco, a big city two hundred miles away from her currently living situation in Metlin, California. At the same time, Jeremy Allen, Metlin's own comic book owner and mountain man, who will never leave Metlin, has been wooing her and making Tayla broke her rules about dating a same man, about relationship, about "forever end-game".

So what a girl to do? Give up a dream job and stay in Metlin or stay with her best friend, new man, a community that she has started to immersed in, and give up the opportunity of being part of a job she really truly believes in.

Like I said, this book was released before Covid. Before the work industry EVERYWHERE learns about the idea of remote-working. I admit that most big companies have ended fully remote work and mandate their employees to return to the office (I'm looking at you Amazon, Starbucks, and Disney) - BUT there are companies that still have HYBRID policy.

So reading how Tayla's dream company's working style, and how they emphasizes on inclusivity and giving positive vibe to working space, I found myself keep telling the story, MY GOD TAYLA, DO REMOTE WORK!!

It was a bit frustrating since it felt like it was an obvious solution from the start; the story didn't need pages to think of it. But I have to keep remind myself that this was a world before all that, before the industry trying to catch up with video calls and remote meeting and such.

Apart from that, I enjoyed this one because Tayla and Jeremy were definitely opposite attract kind of couple. I probably wouldn't understand Tayla's passion with fashion (I'm NOT) but I also wouldn't get the idea of CLIMBING to be a good activity (I prefer my Earth flat and go to art museum rather than trekking/hiking) - so there were things I didn't relate to both Tayla and Jeremy, but at the same time both really loved what they were doing, and when they were passionate about it, it gave them happiness and I surely appreciated that. They gave such positive vibes about what they do. And they were cute together, that's for sure.

‘Il contatto con Jeremy le dava la pelle d’oca. Doveva razionarlo o ne sarebbe finita dipendente. Era come una combinazione tra il liquore, la cioccolata fondente e una fantastica svendita di scarpe.’

Tayla e Jeremy… lei è una fashion blogger e lui è un nerd con la passione per le arrampicate in montagna, lui è dolcissimo e lei un po’ troppo allergica alle relazioni. Un po’ monotono ad un certo punto, non mi ha particolarmente coinvolta.

This turned out to be a really cosy, beautiful contemporary romance series, Elizabeth Hunter has started. Ink was lovely, but in my view, as the author started settling in into Meitlin lives, Hooked was even better. I don't know why I'm surprised as it happens with every book from Elizabeth Hunter I read.

Tayla is someone I never thought twice about before, a fashion blogger and influencer. It was a very interesting insight into ins and outs of what she had to do to stay on top and what kind of income it provided. When we meet her first, Meitlin is just a placeholder for this city girl. She comes to help her friend and she is on the crossroads and doesn't know what direction to take. She doesn't think this small town living is for her. She is bold and vivacious and larger than life.

Jeremy, on the other hand, is someone Tayla thinks has nothing in common with her. He loves the great outdoors, sports and he wouldn't want to leave his small town for the world. He is a true gentleman, funny, smart and gorgeous. Despite their differences, he and Tayla sizzle together in perfect chemistry if only they gave in to their attraction. Jeremy has been slowly luring her in until his time suddenly runs out and he only has a short span to persuade this big city girl to stay with him.

Hooked is full of sass, thoughtfullness, and breathtaking romantic gestures. Jeremy and Tayla really think about each other's needs, and that selflessness builds a solid core for their connection. I loved how they both had to compromise and adjust their expectations in order to be happy. Romance like that makes me so happy, it's smart, it's real and it happens in everyday life if only you let it.

Please, grab this book and its predecessor, Ink without any hesitation. You will enjoy them both! And I hear, book three Grit will be released pretty soon as well. Enjoy!

* * *

It is with such a heavy heart to give this book a 3...
I LOVE Elizabeth Hunter! I love her books, her diversity in series, the way she writes. I love it all, but this just did not seem to work for me like her other stories. I feel so guilty even writing this...
I am going to try to briefly get through the bad, list the good and put this all behind me! This was a great concept. I love the idea of the small town where everything is ideal and perfect. The town where everyone knows everyone and you can get basically everything within walking distance. The town where everyone can put aside their drama and love each other because that is just what you do. A story that has the ideal place of living wasn't the problem, not the whole problem at least, it was the perfect town that led to this concept of perfect lives.
I felt like everything that happened in this book was utterly and completely predictable. From about the second chapter, I could have told you everything that was going to happen. Maybe not verbatim, but pretty close. That was a little disappointing. There were also several grammatical errors. I have had kindle downloads give me errors in the past, so I am hoping that is what this is, but it was unexpected and disappointing regardless.
I don't know if this is a negative or a positive for me, but this had some Fifty Shades of Grey feels. It was only the good stuff and none of the abusive condescension, but it surprised me either way.
I like that she had an "inclusive sized" woman as the main character and brought a lot of attention to her body. Whereas she was thicker and heavier, she wasn't just heavy and out shape. She still did yoga and tried to do other physical things. I liked Tayla's attitude throughout the book. She was fun and flirty and confident! I also liked her main love interest Jeremy. He was such a sweet wholesome super nerd, with a big heart that everyone approved of!
Without giving anything away, I would still recommend this series. I will still be reading the next book. Elizabeth Hunter is still a favorite author of mine! This specific book will just not be in my top 10.

Oh my! This was just a dandy little gem! I loved the premise of Ink. (the first book in this series) A bookstore and a tattoo shop all-in-one. I loved Emmie and Ox and I fell in love with Tayla and her sass. Hooked will not disappoint.
Tayla thinks she is a big city gal, but after moving to Metlin to help out her bestie Emmie and have some fun life throws her a curveball named Jeremy. Growing up as an only child in a very dysfunctional family she is certainly not a relationship kind of girl. She aspires for a bigger career back in San Fransisco, but a certain rock climber has her over-thinking everything she thought she was sure of.
Jeremy is the reason that Tayla is conflicted. He is just yummy. Jeremy is a good man who loves his family and embraces his geekdom. The fact that he is roommates with his elderly grandfather is endearingly sexy. He is also a very patient man that is comfortable in his own skin; a confident man who knows what he wants He wants it all. With Tayla.
This is definitely an opposites attract story, but it's also about that moment in life that we all experience. What's important in your life? What do you need? What do you want? What are your priorities? What fills you with joy and happiness? Can you be happy with the choices you make when your life turns a direction you never thought you'd go?
Ultimately this is about "adulting" and realizing what's important and necessary in your life. It's the realization that family isn't necessarily about blood, but the people you love and surround yourself with. It also shines a bright light on the fact that you CAN have it all.
The lovely town of Metlin is a leading character in this story, also. Ms. Hunter has written about it in a little more depth, along with the wonderful characters that inhabit it. It reminds me so much of the kind of places I grew up in and made me surprisingly homesick.
The fact that Ms. Hunter can write about such diverse characters such as vampires, fallen angels, shape shifters, artists and rock climbers with such rich character development is awe inspiring. She makes you care. She makes you feel. She makes you laugh and she makes you cry. Hooked made me feel all of those.
Once again, Ms. Hunter has written a wonderful book that made me sad to see it end. But... I can't wait to see what she has in store for Cary and Melissa!
